This was a wonderful tour to start out our first full day in Iceland. Our tour guide (we called her Blue on her suggestion) was wonderful, well-informed and kept us all on track. The sights we saw were amazing. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to go on our tour because we never got picked up. We were at our designated stop EARLY at 8:05AM We stood there for almost 2 hours waiting. When I finally got in contact with the company they stated the driver come by twice. We were there the whole time waiting and nobody ever called my name. When talking to the lady on the phone asked if I was ‘Jill’ and couldn’t seem to find me at first which was the first red flag, then after searching the system they found my reservation. What I don’t understand is why the driver didn’t yell out ‘golden circle party of two’ or anything. I have this haunting memory of hearing one of the drivers yell out ‘Jill’ and now that the person on the phone called me Jill I know that must of been our driver… there was clearly a big drop in communication/info because they didn’t know who they were picking up. On top of that, I even messaged the company twice the day before confirming the bus stop # with no response. The cherry on top was at the end of the convo I asked about refund and the women mumbled ‘okay I’ll work on that’ and hung up without saying bye, haha couldn’t believe that. Overall a very sad disappointing day for us, I wouldn’t recommend this company and if you use them I would be very very diligent and ask each driver which tour they are picking up and show them your ticket. I have contacted the 3rd party company for a refund and will be calling once I get back to the states.
Gon was a great tour guide and kept everything smooth and explained things very well, he answered all questions and was really helpful. Would recommend
A most enjoyable tour seeing the most popular sights from Reyjkavik. Our guide, Jon, provided us with so much valuable information and kept us entertained too. Fortunately there were only 12 people on the tour. With there being very little leg room between the seats, we were glad each couple had a row with 3 seats each. I was disappointed that our guide dropped us off at the bottom of Thingvellir. It was easier to get to the waterfall but we had to climb up the steep trail to the top of the cliff. The guide said it was less driving to do it this way. But it was much more difficult on the clients.
The Golden Circle Tour was amazing. Gave us plenty of time at each location to explore. Agnes, our guide, was the best tour guide we’ve had on our trip. So passionate and knowledgeable about Iceland.
The tomato farm is a must to add to the Golden Circle tour. Simon is an enthusiastic, knowlegeable tour guide
I booked my tour with another service provider but was informed that these two companies combined their clients. The excellent communication about pick-ups and other details with the tour operator happened in whatsapp and email before and during the trip. Everything went perfectly. I really enjoyed my day. The vehicle was superb. I warmly recommend this one day excursion for getting a glimpse of the magical Icelandic nature.
Best highlights of area and a good pace not too rushed but tomato farm a waste of time. Guide pleasant but some of other travelers didn't speak English and got lost for a while and guide yelled us for being annoyed as she insisted we be on bus and missed a waterfall and then sat on bus a half hour waiting for lost passengers
The tour itself was great. Our tour guide was Sebastián. Sebastián was very informative and helpful throughout the tour. All the locations were wonderful to visit and see. Very worth it! The only disappointment was the tomato farm. We spent 10 minutes at the tomato farm, enough to use the restroom and leave. It would have made the trip complete if we would have had the opportunity to have lunch there as advertised.
We were under the impression that the mini bus was 8-10 people. This one had 19.. it worked fine thought. Our guide was fantastic.
Our guide Sebastian was knowledgeable, fun, intelligent, helpful and an unexpected surprise. A whole day of touring went by, and it was great. We continued to be grateful for him that evening when we went to dinner at a restaurant he suggested. Hope you are lucky enough to get Sebastian on your tour!!
Lots of solo travelers. I was by far the oldest . It was interesting as at least 6 nationalities were included, but English was the common language we used to communicate with each other.
The weather didn’t cooperate well on our trip, but we still had fun. We weren’t expecting horizontal blowing snow, sleet, and some patches of sun in May. Visibility was limited for some of the sights, but the driver added fun stops along the way to make up for it. We loved the tomato greenhouse…so much fun. And we had ice cream at a farm where you could see the cows through a window between the barn and the cafe. We had a good day.
The tour was very enjoyable. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and the natural sites met our expectations. We specifically enjoyed the side stops for local ice cream and tomato farm.
Such a great variety of sights and activities. Recommend this tour sooo much! If icy, bring crampons.
What an amazing experience. I would recommend this to anybody on holiday here. We already loved Reykjavik and this tour was opened our eyes to the beauty of Iceland. Our tour guide, Toni, was super knowledgeable and told interesting stories about the locations and his background. We specifically booked the trip for tomato farm and it did not disappoint - the food, location and drinks were incredible.
I don’t usually leave reviews but Oscar our tour guide was beyond fantastic. The tour company EastWest tours was also very helpful. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the pick up time and frantically called the tour company who assured me Oscar would round back and get us; indeed he did, thankfully!!! Once we were on our way, Oscar told us he has an educational background in geology which really helped us understand the geology of Iceland and the magic of Iceland. He told us interesting facts of history/geology in a relatable but exciting way. He’s is multilingual and plays music that is relaxing as you pass through the mountains and can just enjoy the landscape. The ride was smooth, the van was clean and everything was ran promptly. We had a great time visiting the spots along the golden circle and highly recommend this tour and your company along with Oscar as your guide. FYI there’s free WiFi on the van along with usb ports to charge your phone. Don’t miss the tomato greenhouse, it lives up to the hype.
Eastwest tour was great. Enjoyed seeing the sights of Iceland including the tomato farm and geyser! Loved the local culture!
We booked this tour through Wake Up Reykjavik, but EastWest was the company that delivered it. We had Leroy as our driver and guide. He was awesome, telling us history, and giving us insight/background knowledge that was very interesting. We had enough time at each stop to enjoy everything. The landscape is stunning. I enjoyed lunch at Friðheimr farm - great ravioli! I can't pick one thing as my favourite. It was all phenomenal. I also really enjoyed the smaller tour group size.
Fantastic!! Guide very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the tomato soup. Bus was comfortable. Only 16 in the group so plenty of room. Never felt rushed at any of the sites.
It turned out not being a small tour. The tour started late. No water was provided. Took is to a place for lunch, nothing was included and a bowl of soup was $23.
Our guide, Al was wonderful, told us lots of history and pointed out areas of interest. We loved the huge waterfall! We had adequate time at each stop and Al told us the best place to see the attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and it was great value for the money. Not as many tours stopped at the tomato farm which we had read a review of and wanted to see.
Saevar was a great storyteller, knowledgeable and very personable. We had plenty of time at all the stops. Don’t miss lunch at the tomato farm!
The tour guide, Leroy, was excellent. We enjoyed the pace of the tour and the many sights along the way. The small tour group (we had 17) is so much better than the huge bus group!
It was the perfect Golden Circle itinerary! All the natural sites were spectacular and the dairy farm and tomato farm stops were also fantastic! Halli was a great guide and truly made the day with all the history and information he shared along the way. Highly recommend this tour!!
Organized, reliable and friendly driver/ guide, this was a great way to see the highlights of the Golden Circle. Visiting the tomato farm was a bonus as the food there (lunch not included) was delicious and a great way to relax and see the operations of a local business. EastWest is very communicative, sending information about car with license and driver name prior to the tour. We even booked a second Northern Lights tour with the same company and that was a success as well.
This trip was A MAZ INGGG !! Our guide Leroy was fantastic very friendly and knowledgable. The tour ran v smoothly plenty of time at each stop. The scenery was spectacular. Lunch at the tomato farm was delicious too and a nice added extra. Definitely recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Halli was AMAZING. Born and raised in Reykjavík, he pointed out the school house his mother was born in and told numerous personal stories about Reykjavík's urbanization. When I mentioned that I'm interested in genetics, he showed me his family tree dating back to 1207 or his 22nd great-grandfather. He was happy to answer any questions we had, and told us stories about the elves, trolls, and hidden people of Iceland.
Our tour guide Toni was great and took us on an informative and breathtaking tour of the Golden Circle. We had plenty of time on each of the stops on the our and never felt rushed.
The smaller bus is the way to go and Leroy was a great guide. On the way to a stop, we ran into a road closure and had to make a long detour but Leroy was able to roll with the changes and had us back on track in no time. I’m sure most Tours don’t run into such unexpected obstacles, yet if you do, these are the guys to be with. We learned so much and saw all the amazing sights.
Byorn Julius Grimson (sp) was wonderful. Funny, informative a true delight for a fabulous tour. Lunch was delicious and the day was fabulous.
We had so much fun! Our guide, Bjorn was fantastic, so personable and knowledgeable. The hot springs, geysir, volcanoes, Gulfoss waterfall, scenery, ice cream and lunch at Fridheimar Tomato Farm were all amazing!
Our guide Al was terrific! Learned a lot about the area saw so many different natural features and experienced different landscapes. You can see so much outside of Reykjavík… a totally different feel from the city.. without worrying about driving!
Excellent tour guide and a beautiful tour. The lunch (pasta with tomato sauce) was exquisite. Highly recommended!
Knowledgeable guide and kept us entertained between stops. Well organized and nice selection of places to see. Good lunch at the tomato farm.
Wonderful experience for our family! Our guide Carlos was amazing. I appreciated that the tour company went above and beyond to accommodate us with young kids, being in touch in the morning when they were coming and making sure the morning pickup was smooth. Carlos brought the sites to life and made it very interesting. There were lots of stops for kids to get out, use bathrooms and get snacks etc. We especially loved seeing the tomato farm.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Petra! The scenery was breathtaking, and it was an enormous gift to have her as our guide. Not only is Petra an expert driver, she’s friendly, fun, and full of interesting facts about Iceland. We learned so much, we laughed a lot, and I would not change one thing about this wonderful experience. THIS is the Golden Circle tour you want to take, with Petra at the wheel and microphone.
We had a wonderful outing with Leroy as our guide. He was very entertaining and informative. He took great pictures of us and had a wonderful attitude. He was so patient with everyone and always chipper. The mini bus is a new Mercedes van with USB cords and very clean. We enjoyed the lunch at the tomato farm on the stop at the dairy farm for delicious ice cream and cappuccino.
Guide went above and beyond to bring a fresh and unforgettable experience to our group. Expertly coordinated and filled to the brim with witty anecdotes. Highly recommend!
Our guide Leroy was the best! So full of energy and so enthusiastic. He explained a lot about Islands history and how it works today. Bonus except Golden tour was to visit the tomato farm and se the new built power plant from outside.
Great tour covering the Golden Circle! Our guide Tagger was very knowledgeable and did a fine job. The tour company was very responsive when contacted.
Sadly we had to wait 45 minutes in terrible weather for bus to arrive as they had waited for people who weren’t ready so they were delayed! There is no shelter at stop 14 so we were soaked ! We never really dried out as the weather was dreadful . This also meant the views weren’t as good as could have been . The driver did his best and in decent weather this obviously is a spectacular trip, so it wasn’t really the company’s fault except why wait for people who are not ready when we are all given pick up times ! Also the mini bus is cramped for 19 people with wet /warm thick clothes. It would be better if there were empty seats to put wet coats etc
We booked and travelled with a company called Bus Travel and the driver/guide was Tommi. We were out from 9am to 9pm and enjoyed seeing all the great sights around Iceland during this golden circle tour and blue lagoon experience. It was exciting and adventurous and Tommi informed us of interesting facts throughout! Great day out, thank you 👍😀
I waited until the end of my vacation to join a Golden Circle tour. I was fortunate to have a great guide, scenic surroundings and the majestic Gullfoss waterfalls was the highlight of my trip. As an added treat, we stopped at a greenhouse for lunch and I highly recommend the tomato soup with homemade bread and burrata.
Had such a brilliant time on this tour, mainly thanks to the stunning Icelandic scenery and our friendly, witty and knowledgable tour guide, Fannar (who incidentally is a great story teller). This was a great way to experience the highlights of the Golden Circle (perfect if it’s your first time in Iceland and you only have a few days). The small group meant that it never felt like you were ticking things off a list, and the laid back nature of Fannar meant that it was a relaxed and fun environment all day. The drives between stops were never too long (to be fair, the landscape meant that I wouldn’t have minded if they were longer) and lengths of stops long enough to really enjoy the place. My only very minor reservation was lunch - not amazing, and expensive even by Icelandic standards, but then totally understand that we had to eat somewhere and there aren’t loads of options in the middle of nowhere, so didn’t really bother me.
An amazing day out. Funnar (sorry if spelled wrong) was a great guide and had lots of little extra stories to tell us. The bus was comfortable, modern and had WiFi. Couodbt choose a favourite location they were all superb. Will definitely try another of their tours next time I'm in Iceland.
This was an excellent tour and we had an excellent tour guide (Hawk). We have been on many tours in several countries and this tour and tour guide was one of the best. Wish we could give him a few more stars!!!! It was a great tour that visited several areas on the Golden Circle. It gave us a lot of information and a good taste of the country. Iceland is a great country to visit and the Golden Circle is a good way to experience it.
Our Driver was great, all the stops were fun, water falls. National park, lunch was fantastic in the tomato green house, the horse stables, geyser was very interesting and plenty of time to see everything
Tour was awesome!! We really enjoyed it! Our guide had a great sense of humor and was so interesting! Beautiful scenery!
Our guide Anna was fantastic. A great trip overall if you are looking for a quick day trip! We lucked out and enjoyed some nice weather and amazing views! Anna really knew what she was talking about and kept the talk lively and entertaining! Such a fun day!
