Ritchie Rich was our tour guide. The whole experience was a delight - easy to book, find the coach station, meet our guide and chill on a comfy big warm and clean coach. We stopped off at view points, geysers and waterfalls. Lots of chances to buy something to eat and drink, buy decent souvenirs and have a toilet stop. The tour was very informative, we had fun listening to Icelandic music and being tested by film quizzes and Ritchie Rich was entertaining throughout. Learnt so much about Iceland, its history and geography. Loved our day and thoroughly recommend the tour to everyone. Emma & Ross

Itinerary
Get into the history of Iceland at Thingvellir National Park, witness the powerful beauty of a multi-tiered waterfall at Gullfoss and walk among bubbling geothermal pools at Geysir Geothermal Area.
Learn about some of the thrilling and somewhat gruesome history of Iceland at Thingvellir National Park. It’s significance is so great that it is a designated UNESCO world heritage site. You’ll walk the grounds where Icelandic democracy began and visit sites where Viking-era justice was carried out including the Drowning Pool and the Gallows Rock. Thingvellir is also the place where two tectonic plates are gradually separating creating a gorgeous landscape of steep cliffs and broad fields featuring Thingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland.
The Great Geysir, the first of its name, resides in Haukadalur in the Geysir Geothermal Area. The entire area is bubbling with geothermal activity from steam vents to boiling mud pits and the real stars of the geothermal show, the geysers. All other geysers, the world over, are named for Geysir.
While the Great Geysir erupts only occasionally these days, the last time being in 2016, nearby geyser Strokkur erupts regularly delighting onlookers by shooting hot water high into the air every few minutes.
The most popular waterfall in Iceland is, without a doubt, Gullfoss (the golden falls). And that is saying quite a lot in a country that is home to thousands of waterfalls. Gullfoss is also considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in Iceland and it is certainly one of the largest. Hearing the roar of the Hvita River as it plunges 32 meters over two tiers into the gorge below is exhilarating. On sunny days, rainbows are abundant in the mist rising from the falls and there are several paths available around the waterfall including one leading down to its bottom so come equipped with your raincoat and have your camera at the ready.

The guide was good. Very soft spoken lady. Giving good information. Definitely add this tour to your itinerary.
Vjeran our guide fitted so much in we finished at the kerid crater which wasnt supposed to happen but he got us there he was so full of information and very helpful it was one of the best tours ive done and would highly recommend
Great tour. It was a great sampling of the sites in the golden coast. The sites were truly amazing. High recommend.
There are 3 main sights on the tour. There is plenty of time allowed to see the geysers, waterfall and national park. The weather is really changeable so layer up clothing and wear a hat! Out tour guide Unuur and the driver Bjorn were friendly and very informative.
A great tour with some amazing sights. Pick up was on time from the BSI bus station. The guide/driver was very informative during the journey and the 3 stops we had were excellent with time allowed to explore before coming back to the bus. The Geysers and the Waterfall were incredible. We got back to Reykjavík on time as well. The minibus was slightly cramped and the heating in the back was like a sauna at times. Would thoroughly recommend.
a great day out .lots of information and very interesting sites visited. we stopped off at four different sites had enough time to experience .we left hotel 7.30 and returned just after 3pm.we able to explore on our own but given a time to return to the bus .break times were given with rest rooms and eating facilities. tour guide and bus driver great knowledge approachable friendly staff.thank you Benedict
It was an amazing tour. I can’t remember my tour guides name but I believe it started with a “B”. He was very knowledgeable and informative. The bus was very comfortable. We did the major stops and have ample time to take pictures of the beautiful scenery.
Fantastic experience! Coach was really comfortable. However, same complaint as with other excursions we did.... Lack of communication regarding pick up. We were not informed that a small bus would be picking us up, taking us to the main terminal to transfer to the coach. So obviously, we were looking for a coach. Having said that, the ' pick up/drop off ' drivers are next to useless. We're paying for the pick up... So they should know who they need to pick up and make sure that customers are aware that it's the correct bus.
Eric, the driver, was a wealth of information about the history of the area, the country and particularly the 3 stops. His passion was infectious. I booked the day before and only the last trip of the day (1230) was available. I was worried that near the end of Ocoberr, that meant darkness for the last stop of a 6 hour tour. Instead, it meant an amazing sunset over the lake where the two tectonic plates meet. Could not have been better.
Overall great experience. Get to see several great sights in a reasonable time. Tour guide Rosa Marie was excellent! She even went out of her way to help me with a personal problem.
What a brilliant day exploring Iceland in the wonderful sunshine. We visited some excellent places and the waterfall was particularly stunning. Our tour guide Elly was fantastic and shared some fantastic knowledge of Iceland. Well worth a trip if you can!
Having a tour guide explain the Icelandic history was worth every penny of this tour. He talked the full tour about scenic areas we would pass, about ancient history and information about the current Icelandic happenings. I was going to drive this myself, but doing so would have been difficult finding parking at the more popular spots. I’m glad we chose this tour. They picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the hotel at the end. Best money spent in Iceland for 6.5 hours.
Long drive on a comfortable bus with incredible scenery and adequate stops. The three hilights, geyser, waterfall, and tectonic plates, were all worth the drive.
I absolutely loved the golden circle tour! Rosa Maria and Pavel were amazing and made the whole experience even more special. I would definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Iceland!
Great experience, a beautiful country with exceptional sights. Tour guide Margaret and coach driver were excellent. This is a “must do” if you visit this beautiful part of the world
We were very content but a little bit more time on the stops would be great!
Great day out with good weather and spectacular scenery. The bus provided was full but had middle doors to get the people in the back out. It was a bit unorganised at the port trying to find which bus was for our booking and a normal bus was provied to take us to the bus station to get the coach for the tour. Even then I couldn't sit with my partner as the coach was full.
Beautiful views and very impressive! Your guide Enrico was very informative and helpful. I learned a lot about Iceland from him.
We stopped at 3 beautiful and interesting locations. Our tour guide Margaret was very knowledgeable and the driver was really kind and found a passenger’s lost phone!
This was probably one of the most miserable trips I ever took. There was a terrible wind storm and it was raining. By the first few stops I was already soaked and the wind made it so hard and cold to move around. I just decided to stay on the bus because it was so miserable out side and I was worried I might get hypothermia. Alot of the other also stayed on the bus the last few stops. They should of just cancelled this trip and gave out refunds. I would rather done something else with my day and money. We even paid for the northern lights for later that night and they canceled that one why not the whole tour too? I still want a refund for how wasted my money was.
I really enjoyed this trip! Each sight was beautiful and picturesque. We had lots of time to take it all in and get some good pictures. There was plenty of opportunities to go to the washroom as well. Our guide Margaret was absolutely amazing and so informative the whole trip. She had a great personality and made us laugh a few times. Our driver Pablo was an excellent driver and got us safe back and forth. I would highly recommend this trip!
Today’s temperature is 6 to 7 degree celsius but feels like -5 degree. Rainy with winds. Tour is exciting and excellent.
The day we went on the Golden Circle tour was especially windy and it definitely affected the trip. That said, we very much enjoyed the Golden Circle tour. The Thingvellir national park was amazing, the topography showing the cracks in the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates seemed other worldly. Gullfoss waterfall was the most beautiful of the waterfalls we saw while in Iceland. And it was fun to go to Geysir and see the Strokkur geyser spout up in the air. The tour we took was about 6 and 1/2 hours long and that was enough. We had seen some that were 8 or 9 hours and we'd already had a 10 and 1/2 hour day to the South Coast so the shorter tour worked well for us. We were on a large bus for the Golden Circle tour but we'd taken a small bus when we went to the South Coast and I was concerned that I wouldn't like being on the large bus but both were totally fine. We didn't have any problems with people not getting back to the bus on time as others have described. Guide was informative. One tip - check the last couple of digits of the bus license plate as you get off the bus because sometimes there are 2-3 of the same company buses in the parking lot and it's easy to forget exactly where your bus was positioned in the lot.
The tour exceeded my expectations. The weather was perfect and we had more than enough time to hike and explore the scenery before returning to the bus. Our host was amazing and very knowledgeable about his Icelandic history and the geographical facts of each location we visited.
Overall we enjoyed the trip, it gives you a good snapshot of the area. We felt though, that we needed 15 minutes longer at each location as each stop was rushed, maybe start at 9.30 and finish later too. Also, the commentary was more about local stories and less about the history, terrain and the sights, often pointing out things when we had already passed them.
Stunning natural beauty, relaxing with perfect mix of light hiking. Our driver, Mr. Johannes was very kind and our Tour Guide Ms. Margaret was very knowledgeable and informative. A wonderful way to experience the natural wonders of Iceland.
What a fantastic experience, the Lady who did our tour was very informative she gave us some great information and the scenery was stunning
Beautiful, Comfortable and Informative Tour. Was a wonderful way to see the sights and understand Iceland better.
Al was an amazing guide. He provided us historical and cultural information to help us better understand all that we were seeing. He was kind and gracious. I would highly recommend a tour with him.
This is an excellent way to learn about and experience the Icelandic culture, history, and geology in a few short hours. Guide Flosi and Driver Lasso did just that, taking us to geysers and waterfalls across miles and miles of moss- and other flora-covered terrain (well, cold lava). Flosi's deep knowledge of Iceland made it a rich and rewarding experience.
Wonderful! Knowledgeable guide and great travel bus. Just enough time at each stop for viewing and food. Souvenirs if you want to shop. Highly recommended!
Our guide, Rose, and driver, Lasso, were fantastic. We learned a lott about the sites we visited and about Iceland. We were disappointed, though, with how little time we stayed at the attractions, particularly Gullfoss which one needs more than 40 minutes to explore. It would have been helpful to have more information about this before we left. Also, more information could be provided about pick- up location, for example, at which door of BSI bus station the tour bus will be departing. Nonetheless, it was a good experience because of Rose and Lasso and the Golden Circle sites were wonderful.
Waterfalls was the best stop. Had plenty of time at stops. Two gift and food stops. Tour guide kept it interesting.
Very informative experience! Prompt and thorough lovely interactions by all! The driver and tour guide were incredible. Thanks Lazo and Flossi !
So I mentioned the bad points first Guide name was Bernard he was the most boring man I’ve ever met in my life. He didn’t even know the history himself. He read it straight from a tablet. It was like when you go to one of those boring mass ceremonies despite that I made the most of the day and the weather also worked against me that day it was quite rainy but this is not the reason I’m giving us three stars only that’s solely down to the experience I had due to such a boring tour operator. The geezer itself was enjoyable and was well. Work to visit the split in the plates that seemed like a bit of a boring stop wasn’t really much to see or lakes didn’t really seem like a proper tour stop the waterfall was fantastic to see the power of nature in all its bite trust the golden circle full day tour Wright would I recommend it to someone I would but not with this company
The tour was pretty good, but I felt in some stops we didnt get very long to take photos and I also felt the tour guide, Benedict was very monotone in his descriptions and it felt more like he was reading a script word for word. Apart from that, the coach was very clean and the pick up and drop off was very easy.
This is worse than a school bus tour !!! In fact you would probably be allowed to speak on a school bus trip !!! the driver was rude abrupt and inappropriate throughout the trip. Over 6 hours on a bus and despite what you might think, the bus only stops twice at the Geyser and the waterfall… The driver talked incessantly throughout the journey and was difficult to understand …it made what should have been an enjoyable day incredibly painful
Tour guide was hard to understand. He had trouble finishing his stories, making the trip less interesting.
Wonderful places, nice tour guide, had so much fun✨
Pickup was confusing. We had to catch a bus which did not have the tour name on it. Got dropped off at the main bus station , and change your another bus. Pickup could have. Even more clear as we almost missed the bus from bus station.
Perfect tour of the Golden Circle! The scenery throughout the entire route was absolutely beautiful. Our bus driver, Simon, did an impressive job navigating the roads and made us feel very safe throughout the tour. Plus our knowledgeable guide, Gudjon Jes, shared lots of interesting information about Iceland’s history, culture, and folklore, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour 5/5 stars.
I spent 30 plus years in the upscale Group Travel business and another 20 years traveling with my wife around different locations in the world The professionalism, knowledge and personality of our guide Richard was easily in the top 10% I have encountered. His contributions to the day matched the spectacular scenery we saw okay. The start of our day reaching our transportation was disjointed but the rest of the day was special.
This tour is absolutely fantastic. There are so many scenic places to visit when the shuttle stops and along the way. The tour guide (Gudjon, Jes, and Simon) did an excellent job of announcing historical and notable details along the way and did so in a fun and playful manner.
Unbelievable experience! The views are so rugged and beautiful. This was a very memorable experience.
A great overview of the Golden Circle by Ritchie, with plenty of time to explore at each of the stops and lots of interesting information that Ritchie told while on the bus.
A excellent day tour highlighting the main attractions of the Golden Circle. Our guide was informative and personable. The Coach bus was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed each stop at Thingvellar National Park, Steokkur Geysir and Gulfoss Falls. Had more than ample time at each stop to explore the sights. Highly recommended.
I sugggest you to organize your time there, because 7 hours are not enough to enjoy all the beautiful stops. Bring your nesti (something to eat) and don't stop walking :)
We had a wonderful tour! Our guide,Richie, gave us so much history and music, while Maggi got us there and back safely! We highly recommend it and if you can get these two on your journey, it’s a gift with purchase. :)
I reviewed most of 1 star ⭐️ reviews, almost all of them are about missing pickup. I decided to give 2 stars for my experience because though no pickup for me at the designated time, eventually the tour bus waited for extra time for me to catch the tour at Bsi terminal… I asked the bus driver what happened for the pickup. He told me it wasn’t the same bus for pickup, it was another one to fetch everybody to BSI terminal… I guess that is why things got messed up… Nobody call out names during pickup…in the whole process they never check the name list of participants. the whole tour is like public transport bus+ a commentator.
