Bjorn was great. I was nervous about snorkeling because of my weight but they were able to accommodate me. Bjorn gave us a lot of stories and information. I didn’t get pushed to finish snorkeling fast either.

Everything went flawless all went as planned. Both guides were amazing.
Outstanding experience! Annie was amazing and helped gave us great info as we went along. She took great photos of us that I LOVE!!!
Viator made a terrible mistake that almost cost us the trip. Viator gave us and the trip provider (Troll) different pick up info/destinations! If wasn’t for the patience and hard work of guide Bran, and Troll’s diligence, we would have missed the trip entirely. We missed 45 minutes (us and the rest of the people who paid!) of the trip due to Viator, which made the whole day feel rushed, considering all the stops. Thumbs up to Bran and Troll, but Viator must to something to compensate/correct in my opinion
The trip was great, our guide Bran was exceptionally knowledgeable and humorous. Trip was well planned with good I had a mild sprain in my foot and he made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole trip. Bran’s playlist for the road trip was the cherry on top!
We did two tours with Trolls on consecutive days. Both tours were outstanding experiences and we are so happy we decided to go with Trolls. The mini buses were very modern and clean. They included free WiFi and had USB-A charging ports above each seat—necessary because you will want to take a lot of photos. Our tours had less than 15 people each day which made the stops very manageable. We saw other tours with full size buses loaded with people that looked very unappealing. The smaller group size allowed a more intimate experience and allowed you to clearly hear the guide. All of our tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The schedule is tight and many stops were approximately 30 minutes. Although you may not be able to fully explore each spot (for example: climb the 500 steps up Skógafoss Waterfall), there were still many photographic opportunities. Communication with Trolls was extremely easy and quick through email. I wrote several times with questions and once to change my pick up location. They always responding within several hours, despite me writing them late in the evening. They may communicate with you about your trip via email while you are traveling so it is very important to check often. On two occasions, I didn’t see emails from them until much later. It was only a slight adjustment to the pick up time, but should have checked my email sooner. The second was the Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra Minibus Tour. We saw two more waterfalls, again each were so unique and overwhelming. The Geysir was faithful in its eruptions. We ended the day with the snorkeling. I had been looking forward to this well before I even booked it. I had read all the warnings and was a little anxious about it. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. We went on a sunny day with a temperature around 54F/12C. I wore a very light base layer only on the top and bottom. They gave us a fleece-lined union suit layer to put on over your clothes. Next comes the dry suit with booties. Both the dry suit and warmth layer they supply are amply sized. The tight parts are the wrists and neck of the dry suit. I don’t like things tight on me, but neither of these were too uncomfortable. The part that I found the tightest was the head gear which is a separate piece similar to a balaclava. They also give you neoprene gloves to wear. Although they allow water in them, the water warms to your hands. The only exposed part is the around your mouth and a small bit of forehead. The walk to the launch wasn’t bad. On our warm day I was starting to heat up and was ready to get in the cold water. There was no startling moment of cold like a cold plunge and I barely noticed my face being cold. The view while snorkeling is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. At the end I was exhausted. After the short walk back to the parking lot, I felt I had worked hard for that chocolate bar. Although you can’t operate a camera with the gloves on, the tour guide took take great shots and had them uploaded that evening. Knowing what I know now, I would do it all again. The two days I spent with Trolls were full of sights and moments to remember. Trolls were very easy to work with and I highly recommend them for your Iceland excursion.
Our guide, victor, was amazing! He went above and beyond to make our experience in Iceland special and we feel like the trip was made better because of him!! He showed us a lot along the way to the stops and explained everything very well. We also loved the guides at the snorkeling, Leo and Victor, who were so friendly and fun and made that experience even better as well.
5 stars! This trip to Iceland was absolutely perfect, all thanks to such an amazing team! First, I want to give a special shoutout to Joe (Jone) on30 July, our driver and guide for the Golden Circle. He was truly outstanding! His driving was incredibly smooth and safe, and his commentary along the way was super informative and engaging, keeping the whole trip full of laughter. Also, although I can't quite recall the names of our snorkeling and glacier hike guides, I strictly want to make sure I thank them here: The snorkeling guide was a friendly and patient young guy in his early twenties who made everyone feel so safe and cared for throughout the experience. Today's South Coast glacier hike guide was a gorgeous young woman—I loved her energy so much! She was like a fairytale princess who deeply loves everything in nature. Thank you again to each and every guide for your hard work and dedication. Your professionalism and warmth made this trip the highlight of my travel memories. Highly, highly recommended!
So my husband and I found ourselves only in Iceland for three days. We figured just doing the Golden Circle would be the way to get the taste of nature that we wanted. This tour was just the right fit! Our guide, John, is a geologist and shared some absolutely fascinating information both at the stops and along the way. The timing was just right, not too long and not too short at each stop. We even got a bonus stop to pet some horses! Absolutely fantastic. The snorkeling was amazing, please don't skip it if given the option. There were only nine of us on our tour, so it didn't feel crowded and we definitely got the attention we wanted. Can't miss this.
Cora was incredible and did a wonderful job of informing us about Icelandic history on the way to the attractions. Kevin was equally great, and did a fantastic job keeping us comfortable and helping us feel safe while we snorkled the Siffra Fissure.
Wonderful Tour of Iceland withThales ,really recommend it!
Overall it was a really nice experience. Bjorn was very friendly and knowledgeable. Leo was a fantastic snorkeling guide. The process for getting the gear on and then waiting an hour in line was less fun. I still recommend it, but be ready for an uncomfortable wait if you snorkel at the end of the day.
Since the golden circle requires a long drive, it would’ve been nice if the tour bus driver/tour guide would have spoken more about Iceland. In addition, he would often forget to use the microphone so that only the people in the front could hear him. When guests ask questions, he should talk about the question and answers via the microphone. Geulia at the Silfra was terrific. She made changing into the wet suits and waiting in line to swim about as fun as it could have been. The Silfra snorkeling experience would have been better if there was not such a long wait between groups (especially since there are appointments). It would’ve also been nice if the GoPro could videotape our experience and not just have photos.
What a brilliant experience - highly recommended. We did it as family - two of us mid 50s, and our 19 and 16 year old. Joa and Belu were great guides - they explained everything step by step, and made us feel really looked after. You dress in a cosy undersuit, and then a full dry suit over the top. Joa and Belu make sure everything is safe, cosy and comfortable. After the briefing, you walk over to the entry platform, which again feels very safe. I was a little nervous, and had a mild 'moment' when I put my face into the water. Joa was amazing - he calmly talked to me, held my hands, settled me down, spoke calming and clearly until I felt 'safe' enough which just took a few minutes. At the same time he was talking to the rest of the group, checking they were all OK, and smiling at my family every time he told me I was the best in the group! The actual experience is fantastic - breath taking. It seems a lot of money, but you can see where the money goes on the equipment, training, highly qualified instructors etc etc. An experience that will last a lifetime I think!
Everything in iceland is excellent! And our guide Bjorn is also very kind and friendly
it’s good, I like my driver who is good at tell stories
Really enjoyed this tour! Anna picked us up right on time and was a great snorkel guide. Super friendly and helpful getting all the gear on, and a great photographer too! Daniel was my driver and guide for the rest of the tour and he was great as well, knowledgeable about all the stops we went to and had additional commentary on various things we drove past as well. He gave us horse candy to feed to the horses which was an awesome surprise stop!
This trip is really nice Bjorn is very friendly
10000/10 experience absolutely must do!!! Max was our tour guide for most of the day and was fabulous and Abbie was our instructor for the snorkel section. Max was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the environment and history of all of the places we got to see and even let us stop to see the ponies!! Abbie took amazing pictures and made sure we all felt safe and comfortable prior to getting in the water. Such a unique amazing experience and could not say enough great things!!!
Had the pleasure of being taken on our tour by Ella in ‘Rambo’ the monster 4x4 mini bus! Great story telling and explanations on the road between stops: trolls, elves and the hidden people who inhabit Iceland along with us humans! Gave us plenty of time at each location and even made an extra stop to see the legendary Icelandic horses. Great day out.
This is my favorite tour out of the 3 I did in Iceland. The snorkeling is magical and Lilian was the perfect guide. He keeps you laughing. The stops around the golden circle were well timed. The driver kept us very entertained with stories and history. Don’t miss this one.
The water is so clear. They do everything to make sure your comfortable!! I had so much fun!!! 10/10 dont miss this experience if your visiting Iceland!
Highly recommended. For a first-time snorkeling experience, James' patience, approachability, and timely encouragement gave me the courage and confidence — thank you so much! The underwater scenery was truly eye-opening. As for the water temperature, all I can say is, wow! If you go by driving, I think it would be better to look around the national park.
Julian is an excellent tour guide. We had an absolutely fantastic journey experience.I hope you live a happy life. Form three Chinese girls
Awesome tour host very friendly and willing to help. Took us to all notable places explained the history while hugging ample time to explore.
Great day with bucket list snorkel and waterfalls along golden circle and geyser. Also had an unplanned stop to pet / feed Icelandic ponies !.
I had a great time on this tour. Bjorn was helpful and on time with everything. He gave us brief histories on things we drove by and we even took some detours to get more of an Icelandic experience than what we paid for. We saw a bunch of waterfalls, a geyser, pet some Icelandic horses, and went snorkeling in between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Really cool stuff and I’d book him again for another experience if I’m in Iceland again.
Absolutely fantastic, Juliana made the journey a lot of fun for the long drive. The snorkeling was spectacular and the guides were very friendly and helpful. If you do anything in Iceland, you must do this!!
This was a great small bus tour. The guide (Bjorn) was local and he entertained us with stories, and educated us about Iceland. He was great! We started off going to the waterfall. We had some time to get out of the bus and wonder around in the gift shop and 2 viewing areas. It was incredible! Next we stopped on the side of the road to see some Icelandic horses that were up against the fence and we got to pet them. Then we saw the geyser and stopped across the street for lunch. It was a perfect grab and go lunch that we could take along in the car. After that we went to go snorkel. It was cold, but not unbearable with the dry suit. We were in the water for around 40 mins I believe. It was so clear and beautiful. The guide is with you and helping every step of the way. They take lots of pictures of you and the scenery underwater, which you can easily download online from a link the next day. You also get some hot coca to help you warm up afterwards. The guides were great. They were incredibly experienced and hilarious! We had Kevin and he was a riot, we loved him! He made it an extra fun experience. Finally we went to see another smaller waterfall, and walk around a beautiful area that had some nice views of the lake and the faults/tectonic plate splitting. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it!
Really great experience overall! Beautiful landscapes, nice guides everything was great! Favorite part was the snorkeling
Snorkeling experience was amazing! I was concerned about getting cold, the dry suits they provide are amazing. Guides were very helpful and informative. Our driver for the day, Bjorn, was on time and great at getting us to the different sites. Very informative during the drives through Iceland on what we were seeing.
Bjorn made sure we saw more than what was originally planned, was always friendly and answered all our questions. I wish we had spent more time in Geysir and skip the horses (as I can see horses anywhere but geysers are unique), and also the microphone was not working very well. But apart from that a fantastic experience.
Oskar, our tour driver, was very good and knowledgable. Had a lot of tidbits of information about the places we were going and passing by. He also took us on a few bonus stops to see extra views and features, which was super cool! The main features of the tour are also incredible and well worth seeing. Iceland is full of natural beauty and this tour takes you right to the doorstop. The snorkelling experience was incredible. Cold, but absolutely a highlight that i would not hesitate to do again.
We had the most fantastic one-day tour in Iceland with Sveinbjorn (Bjorn) as our guide and driver. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Bjorn was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and had a great sense of humor. He provided detailed and fascinating explanations about Iceland's history, geology, and culture throughout the journey, which made the scenery come alive. He wasn't just a driver; he was a true storyteller who clearly loves his country. His driving was extremely safe and smooth, making us feel completely comfortable on the road. He was also very attentive to our needs, ensuring we were always happy with the pace and stopping frequently for photos at the most beautiful spots. If you are looking for a kind, professional, and insightful guide for your Iceland trip, we cannot recommend Sveinbjorn (Bjorn) highly enough! He truly made our short visit memorable. Thank you for everything, Bjorn!
Splendid sightseeing and very nice guide whom shared many interesting stories about Iceland. What a nice tour! Unforgettable viewing
黄金圈里最喜欢辛格维利尔公园,silfra和瀑布都很好看。希望浮潜完有更多时间在国家公园。我们的司机兼导游是Elios(不太确定拼写)。 The Geysir and the Thingvellier National Park are so magnificent. Wish we had more time in the national park though. Our tour guide for the road was Elios (not very sure about the spelling). He was very nice and talked about the Icelandic language on the way and played Icelandic music for us. The silfra snorkeling is absolutely one of the most exciting experiences I’ve had. Our silfra snorkeling guide was Lilian, who speaks a little but quite good Chinese. He was kind and gentle helping us with the suit. Our clothes remained completely dry.
The golden circle and the snorkel activities with Troll was an amazing experience! Mainly with out guide Björn, the was very attentive and gave so many great information! I recommend it a lot
We went out snorkelling with Anna. She is so sweet. Caring, nice, and knows her business. We then went for the golden circle tour with Bjorn. Honestly I didn’t have much expectation for this part, but Bjorn is the best. He is so passionate about his country and his job. He knows every single steam coming out of the land. He made this a really fun and meaningful tour, rather than another bus tour.
The Golden Circle tour portion was good, not great. Our "tour guide" was pretty much just a bus driver. Didn't tell us much about the destinations. Just drove us there, gave a little bit of advice on where to go, a tiny bit of background on what we were seeing and then dropped us off and told us to meet back at the bus at a certain time. Got to the snorkeling portion and that's where the craziness (fun?) started. Some advice: wear long johns underneath your clothes as you'll need to strip down in the back of a van to put on the dry and wet suits. The guides helped us get suited up (quite an ordeal) and then we waited a long time before it was our turn to snorkel the fissure. Was told that there is less of a wait during the morning tours. In any case, the visibility was amazing but as others have said, don't expect to see fish. Just rocks, crevices and some cool blue/green colors. It was nice that the guides have their own cameras and share the photos with everyone afterwards.
Would really recommend a his trip. I got to see all the amazing places in the golden circle with the bonus of a beautiful crystal clear morning snorkel. Anna looked after us in the water and Bjorn on the tour. It was great that as an Icelander Bjorn had lots of stories to tell and facts about the landscape. I really appreciated the bonus stops and bus tunes! Thanks everyone
Our guide sindri, was very knowledgeable. 10/10. Gave us recommendations for places to see on our road trip. Also had fun stories about Iceland
Juliana was a great guide. Interesting commentary. Nice that we could view the sights at our own pace. Shout out also to Vicky and Austin who were really good snorkeling instructors.
The minibus picked us up on time and was very clean and comfortable. Our guide, Jon, was very knowledgeable and shared information throughout the tour. I felt we had plenty of time at each of the beautiful sites. Our snorkeling tour at Silfra was the highlight for me, as I had been wanting to do this for years! Our guides Vicky and Cecilia went over and above t make sure everyone was fitted in our suits properly and comfortable in the cold water. It was amazing!
Fantastic day! Well worth the price. Don't be afraid of water temperature. The crew did a great job in dressing us up for warmth.
The trip was great. The snorkeling was worth the uncomfortable suits. The views underwater were spectacular, as Silfra has extremely clear water. We also saw a waterfall and went to a geothermal area, where we saw a geyser erupt. We were with the tour guide, Thales, for this trip and the previous two trips, so thank you very much for giving us a great experience. Overall the trip was amazing.
Bjour is ver nice and humorous! The trip is very good, and the scene is very beautiful. We experienced many places. Bjour told us many local knowledge, history, geography and Icelandic language.
A very unique experience! The dry suit kept my body completely dry and warm. The guide Cecelia ensured that everything was well fitted and comfortable. We were taught the signals and given some time to decide whether or not to complete the swim. One group member changed her mind and the guides made sure she was physically fine, escorted her back and monitored her. They took great care of her. It was incredible swimming over shallow rocks and then coming to an area with visibility down over 100 ft. The water colour and algae colour was out of this world. So glad I did this. Unforgettable.
This was my first time traveling alone, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Juliana. She is warm, attentive, and made sure everyone in the group felt taken care of. The atmosphere on the bus was friendly and relaxed, thanks to her positive energy. Her detailed explanations about each stop added so much value to the experience. From breathtaking scenery to the unforgettable snorkeling adventure, everything was simply perfect. I would definitely recommend this tour, and Juliana as a guide,to all my friends!
i DID GOLDEN CIRCLE AND SNORKELING with troll expeditions, the tour was amazing we had John as a driver guide witch he offer a lot of informations about every location where we been , he made even a extra stop for pictures with horses... and also we had a nice snorkeling guide super frendly and he offer me hot chocolate and chocolate bar , also the group was nice and i made friends, definetly recomanded this tour
This was amazing. We had great guides all around. We went with Troll expedition. Started at the golden circle had a good amount of time made two other stops until we arrived at the snorkeling. The water is only cold for a minute then you adjust and it’s just smooth sailing literally. It was relaxing and fun. We had a small group we swam with. They separated us into 6. You stay with them in the water the whole time. They take beautiful pictures. The water is so clear but once underneath the colors are amazing. I was worried about the “pull” at the end but we swam through it without even noticing. They provided hot coco and chocolate or cookies after. Such a fun and beautiful day. The Geyser was amazing and our guide told us what to look for so we were able to get pictures and video of it erupting. I would definitely bring layers for this trip.
