A fantastic day trip with an extremely knowledgable tour guide . Surpassed expectations . Was a great intro to Iceland and fantastic way to see a number of sites in one day . The secret lagoon was also wonderful . Perhaps not as grand as the blue lagoon or other spas but we really enjoyed it . Definitely recommend .

Itinerary
We'll kick off the day with a morning pick-up from your selected location in the capital city Reykjavík
A quick 40-minute drive to the first stop: Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park. This remarkable rift valley, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates drift apart, showcases both stunning geology and deep history. Here you can explore Althing, Iceland’s original national parliament, admire the Silfra Fissure and Almannagjá rift, and enjoy sweeping views of Þingvallavatn lake—an unforgettable introduction to Iceland’s natural wonders.
Our adventure will then lead us to the breathtaking Gullfoss, aptly named the "golden waterfall," situated at the very edge of the Icelandic Highlands. Cascading gracefully within the canyon of the Hvíta River, Gullfoss is fed by the Langjökull glacier to the north, lending it a majestic aura. As a two-tiered waterfall, Gullfoss seems to vanish into the depths below, with its waters plunging an impressive 32 meters. The waterfall offers a mesmerizing display of nature's power, showcasing the raw forces of Icelandic landscapes. Regardless of the season, Gullfoss captivates with its awe-inspiring beauty, making it a must-see destination on our journey through Iceland's natural wonders.
Next, we’ll explore the Geysir Geothermal Area, the birthplace of the word “geyser.” Wander among steaming vents, bubbling pools, and hot springs, and watch Strokkur—the most active geyser—erupt every 4–10 minutes, sending boiling water 15–20 meters (49–66 feet) into the air.
We’ll unwind at the Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest geothermal pool. Nestled in mossy lava fields, the water stays a soothing 38–40°C (100–104°F) year-round, with a small geyser adding to the charm. Bring your swimwear or rent it on-site for the perfect relaxing end to your adventure.
Our final stop is Kerið Crater, or “The Eye of the World,” a volcanic crater formed over 6,500 years ago. Its bright blue-green lake set against red volcanic rock makes it a must-see. The crater is 886 feet (270 m) wide with walls up to 180 feet (55 m) high, offering stunning views from the rim and a scenic 20-minute hike around the lake. Seasonal changes—from green moss in summer to snow and ice in winter—make it magical year-round.
We'll then head back to Reykjavík where you'll be dropped of from your starting location.

Nils was an attentive guide - great commentary accompanied by his Icelandic music. A very wet and windy day for a full packed day . Driving conditions were tough but felt safe. Loved the volcano, the secret lagoon, the waterfall. Great way to experience the island. Thank you.
Excellent. Loved the small group and ability to get out and explore. And Tomosz was great. It was hard to hear him sometimes but he was very funny , personable, caring and entertaining. Loved his laugh. Would recommend.
The small group is a wonderful way to get to know the people on the tour; add the beautiful weather and outstanding sights to see makes it even better, BUT add Guna as your tour guide and you have the trifecta of experiences all in one terrific package!!! Great job, Guna! Great job tour group for hiring her!!
Our guide, Edgar, made the day very special. He shared great info throughout the trip. He was patient and kind. Would take a tour with HIM again for sure.
Tour was great, Edgar had a great sense of humour.
Edgar was our tour leader! I must say it’s sooooo worth the money and time! Highly highly suggest it! My favorite part was the sectet lagoon!
We were renting a car anyway but had a day without any plans, was our first time in Iceland and thought this might be a good idea for a day tour, which turned out to be our best day of the entire trip, our guide was named Edgar, funny, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Great tour got to see all the highlights of the golden circle without being on a bus all day. The secret lagoon was so relaxing and a great add in to the main attractions. Would recommend!
Awesome way to see the golden circle! Planning and execution were seamless. Wojtek was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend to anyone looking to see all the golden circle sights!
We had a fantastic day exploring Iceland’s Golden Circle, finishing with a wonderfully relaxing soak in the Secret Lagoon. We saw some incredible scenery along the way, including the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, the geysers and the beautiful Icelandic landscape. It was a full day, there was plenty to see and it never felt like we were simply rushing from one stop to the next. Our guide, Eric the Red, was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and shared lots of interesting information about Iceland along the way. He really helped bring the places we visited to life and made the day even more enjoyable. The Secret Lagoon was the perfect way to finish the tour, lovely and warm after a day of sightseeing and a really relaxing experience. A fantastic day and another highlight of our Iceland trip. We would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you want to see the Golden Circle and experience the Secret Lagoon in the same day.
Very happy with this tour. Only 6 people on our bus and Iga was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Nice day trip. The secret lagoon was the best part for us!
Great value. Wonderful experience seeing multiple highlights in a day. Our favorite was the secret lagoon, but all the sites were great and our driver provided lots of good information.
Edgar was the best! Very knowledgeable, and took tour needs into consideration. Gullfoss was my highlight; the crater when over best with the kids. Only feedback (and this is for all tour group vendors) is to be clearer if lunch is included in price, available for sale, or to bring your own lunch.
Edgar was our tour guide for the day and we can’t say enough good things about our time. Edgar made the trip incredibly easy and enjoyable. We are traveling with two young kids and he was sure to keep them entertained and was super patient waiting for us to return to the can before heading to the next stop. We learned so much on our Golden Circle tour with Edgar and will have made the most amazing memories. Thank you!!
Had a wonderful time. Edgar did an excellent job explaining everything to us. Gave us helpful hints to enjoy all of the stops. Stopped for us to get some extra awesome pictures. Smooth driving ,which was helpful as my kids can get car sick.
Edgar was a wonderful tour guide. He is very timely, knowledgeable and enthusiastic! He really took care of us every step of the way.
Full day of adventures and sight seeing. The secret lagoon is something I’ve never experienced…………..
Lucky was hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. She had so many stories to tell and explained the meaning and origin of words. She played Icelandic music and was so helpful. I appreciated her warmth and helpfulness.
It was a good experience to see the tourist spots in the Golden Circle. All tours go to similar spots, but a smaller group made it easier to get into each spot and not dealing as much with others in the same tour group. Hence, not having the same time schedule to get in and leave, not the same timing for WC. Secret Lagoon is quieter than other lagoon, and is the oldest natural lagoon. So it's special!
Björgurn Raven was very friendly and kept the tour interesting. The amount of time at each location was well timed.
Fabulous day. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide for the day.
A great day trip, enjoying the geisers, crater walk, national park, along with a stop off to visit the Icelandic horses, topped off with a soak at Secret Lagoon. Our driver Bjorguin did a fabulous job, very informative and we even got an Icelandic song from him!
Lovely way to see Iceland in the short time we had available. The stop at Secret Lagoon was very special. Thank you, Edgar, for a wonderful day.
Our guide was cherry, personable and well informed. This was a well run trip.
Really enjoyed the tour Edgar was very informative and entertaining. Had a great time.
The secret lagoon was simple and beautiful. The feeling of the loose rocks under feet was like a massage. Sipping champagne while soaking, Devine. Edgar was fun and informative and expertly dealt with PIA customers (unhappy about having to sit in the back of the bus. He took us to several sites and threw in a stop to pet the horses on the way.
Edgar was great. Trip adventures were excellent
Edgar was a wonderful driver/tour guide. I really enjoyed the day from beginning to end.
Our guide Magnus Dan was excellent! He gave us a wonderful history and facts about Iceland and everything we visited. He made it a very fun and interesting day.
I liked that tour covers a lot and you get to see a variety of places in a relatively short amount of time.
Booked this day trip through Viator who demanded full payment in advance. Instructions to join tour only included meeting point ltime and location no contact details were given apart from some sort of internal tour operator number. I arrived early and waited for a fully hour at the correct location in the rain. No one turned up to collect me and no other guests were either waiting or collected. Within minutes I was back at my hotel where a quick phone call tried to convince me with no evidence to offer me, that a driver had arrived but I had missed me. Since no refund was offered, this is obtaining money by pecuniary advantage plain and simple. In short one big con
Our guide Iga was excellent, very knowledgeable with a wealth of information. What she didn't know she googled at the next stop. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her love of Iceland was clear. She would make a terrific hiking guide. Thank you Iga!
Great Experience, very good guide, beautiful places
Loved the guide and stops. Two issues: be prepared for many many flies in your face at the first stop (tectonic plate divide) so maybe bring a hiking face net; also, our bus was packed and back row with four people uncomfortable.
An Unforgettable Day in Iceland – Edgar is the Absolute Best!If you are looking for a tour that actually delivers on its promises and offers incredible value for money, this is the one to book. From start to finish, the Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon tour exceeded all of our expectations. Our tour guide, Edgar, was absolutely lovely and made the entire experience truly special. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and kept us entertained throughout the day with fascinating stories and local insights about Iceland. His warm personality and excellent pacing meant we never felt rushed at any of the stops. The itinerary perfectly balances the breathtaking, must-see sights of the Golden Circle with the ultimate relaxation at the Secret Lagoon. Soaking in the natural hot springs was the perfect way to unwind. If you want a seamless, high-quality, and memorable Icelandic adventure, ask for Edgar!
Greta was an amazing guide! She was knowledgeable and funny. The waterfall was a highlight!
A truely wonderful day, huge thanks to Iga! We’ve seen many of the fantastic sites in the Golden Circle, with time to relax inbetween as we were driven around. Iga was the perfect guide - great company, full of interesting information, and drove us around brilliantly! The whole family (2 boys aged 16 and 19) and us older (!) parents all had a really brilliant day. We’d fully recommend this trip - what a start to our visit to Iceland!
Iga was an outstanding guide!
Maria was an amazing guide/driver! She was full of Icelandic tips and stories which kept us engaged for the 10 or so hours. The sites were incredible and the time spent at each was about right. And we stopped for ice cream too 😊! We would definitely book a tour with Maria again!
Amazing experience, our guide gave details on many sightings, he was very respectful and kind. He gave a presence of safety, reassuring all our stuff would be safe on the bus with him.
Tour with Edgar was great knowledgeable and honest tour guide. Loads of fun and great places to see.
Edgar was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to make sure we got the most out of the experience
The hot spring which was so much better than a bath
Edgar was amazing, very knowledgeable and so nice !! I recommend him 10000%
Edgar did a great job - he was very informative.
Wonderful day trip. Seeing all the best sights. Edgar guide was excellent.
Dominca and Laura (sorry If I spelt them wrong ladies) are a special pair. Their chemistry and enthusiasm made this whole trip so fun. We felt like VIPs everywhere we went. The two of them were super knowledgeable and I’m very happy to have had them. I felt safe on the trip and comfortable with every step of the trip and the landmarks we stopped at. We stayed on time. - all the gratitude, Evan and Megan Rudd
Really is a small group! Tour was only about a dozen people. A great tour and our guide was a native Icelander with many interesting stories. Not too much talking but enough to give you a good taste of Iceland. Saw a collapsed volcano, the mid-Atlantic ridge, thermal geysers, and waterfalls. Lots of time at each stop, usually a restroom and a small shop at each stop. This is the most popular tour, so be sure to book well in advance.
