We would highly recommend this trip which ticked off everything on our Iceland bucket list in one day. Svenin was a fantastic guide, he created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere straight away. Not only giving us fascinating information about the sights on the trip, but also giving us personal anecdotes which painted a picture of Icelandic history, culture, humour and way of life. The Icelandic music playlist in the bus was icing on the cake! The last stop at the lagoon was a perfect way to end a day of sightseeing, the spa was beautiful. A very memorable day.

Itinerary
Explore Iceland’s most important historical site and one of its most remarkable geological wonders. Þingvellir is where the Icelandic parliament was founded in 930 and where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, creating dramatic landscapes and deep fissures. Here you will also see Lake Þingvallavatn, Iceland’s largest natural lake, fed by crystal-clear water that travels underground for decades before emerging.
Walk among steaming vents, boiling pools, and vibrant mineral springs in Iceland’s most active geothermal park. Watch Strokkur geyser erupt dramatically every 5–7 minutes — sometimes sending boiling water up to 40 meters into the air. You will also encounter Blesi, a beautiful pair of contrasting hot springs, one crystal-clear and steaming, the other cold and vividly blue.
Witness one of Iceland’s most powerful and iconic waterfalls. Fed by meltwater from the Langjökull glacier, Gullfoss crashes in two dramatic stages into a rugged canyon. On clear days you may even see the striking mountain ridge Jarlhettur in the distance, with Langjökull rising behind it.
A unique and cozy lunch stop at Friðheimar. This family-run greenhouse restaurant is famous for its fresh tomato cuisine, enjoyed right inside a working geothermal greenhouse. The highlight is their well-known tomato soup with freshly baked bread, offering a warm and flavorful break while learning about sustainable farming in Iceland.
End your day with a rejuvenating soak in the beautiful Laugarás Lagoon. Surrounded by calm countryside scenery, this geothermal lagoon is naturally heated year-round and offers a tranquil, intimate atmosphere — the perfect way to unwind after a day filled with sightseeing and adventure.

On Tuesday, 15 September 2026 we completed the Golden Circle, Frioheimar Tomato Farm and Laugaras Lagoon in a small group tour with our Guide - Roberto. The full day of fun was packed with so much information and fun. Roberto presented Icelandic history, Geological History, Norse Mythology, fun facts about Iceland and how he became a Tour Guide. Throughout our Golden Circle, Frioheimar Tomato Farm and Laugaras Lagoon Tour, Roberto gave us historical background on the people who settled Iceland and Icelandic Geological History to help us understand Iceland’s unique natural beauty. Roberto is an excellent host and representative of Iceland. We continue our visit to Iceland on a very high note and most memorable experience!
Good Tour - not so good guide. We went on the full day tour on Sept 8th. Pick up was prompt, but our guide (his name started with an L), was unenthusiastic, rarely spoke, and drove very aggressively. He spoke briefly at lunch about how he liked doing the snorkel group, maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he liked that group so he didn’t have to speak. The tour stops were good though, the waterfalls, tomato farm, the lagoon, were all great, but we could have booked on our own. Side note: the next day we had Roberto (another review), with the same company and he was fabulous. He talked, he sang, he told stories, he was amazing
The tour was great. Our guide, Sven was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even determined where we’d go next based on how many tourists were already at a particular location…part of the flexibility of traveling in a smaller tour group. Walking through the tectonic plates and waterfalls were incredible, Friðheimar Farm was amazing and wrapping it up at the Laugarás Lagoon was fantastic and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this tour.
It’sa great tour. The greenhouse is educational and the food is delicious. Will definitely do again. The lagoon was excellent also. They just need to apply lotion and maybe add a few swimsuit dryers to be perfect. Loved the experience overall.
Wonderful tour. Great experience. Loved the tomato soup!
Our guide was phenomenal. Iceland is a stunning country and this was a great way to get to experience more of the country than what we experienced on our cruise. While the days is busy and full, it isn't rushed or hectic at all and we truly got to enjoy each element. Our whole family enjoyed the experience and highly recommend.
Waterfall, geyser and lagoon all beautiful. Lunch at the tomato farm was delicious and unique setting. Otto was a great driver. Appreciated his tips. Loved that he parked the van at top of a trail and met us at the bottom. My old knees did too. First time at any pool Largarus Lagoon was beautiful and no large crowds. More relaxing indeed. Great last day in Iceland.
All the stops on this Golden Circle tour were worth the time. The kids especially enjoyed the Laugarás Lagoon while the adults were very impressed with the Golden Waterfalls and the Tomato Farm.
Very efficient, lots to see, family friendly.
Michal was AMAZING! This was by far the best tour company we had during our stay. From the Icelandic playlist, learning key facts of Iceland, key tips for each stop, he made sure the day was memorable. My kid is not a big seafood eater and Tomato farm was one of our best meals.
Christo was a great guide! He gave us great suggestions so that we could maximize our tour experience and added a stop to Efstidalur homemade Ice Cream farm which made our family happy! Christo was knowledgeable of the area and the history which only enhanced our experience. The lunch at Friðheimar a Restaurant is a must do experience and this tour hits all the highlights of the Golden Circle and ends with a relaxing soak at the Lagoon
We loved this excursion and really enjoyed our excellent tour guide, Kristo. We had only 12 people in our tour group so a nice size. The tomato farm in particular was my favorite part and such a worthy visit. The unlimited soup and bread was amazing and we loved learning how the tomatoes are grown. The lagoon at the end of the excursion was so relaxing and also worth visiting. There are private shower stalls available in addition to the open ones so we appreciated having that option. However, be warned that towels were not provided so bring your own unless you want to rent.
Fabulous experience getting a true variety of what Iceland has to offer. If you only have time for one full day trip, this one takes you to the requisite scenery (waterfall, geyser, etc), thermal lagoon time, and even a very affordable and delicious tomato farm lunch. No tourist traps on this one. We had a group of about 10, and Svennie was a super knowledgeable and easy going guide. Excellent experience with the Glaciers and Waterfalls company that recently developed this specific itinerary.
We had a wonderful time on the Golden Circle, Friðheimar Tomato Farm & Laugarás Lagoon tour with our guide. The tour was informative and we definitely learned a lot about Iceland in the process. The Tomato Farm lunch was outstanding, best tomato soup we have ever had! We very much enjoyed the geothermal spa at the end of the day to relax before heading home. Highly recommend this tour! The staff in the TourDesk office were extremely helpful in arranging for us to join this tour.
We had an amazing day with Glaciers and Waterfalls. I live in Iceland but had never really taken the time to visit these sights properly, so it was extra special to finally go with my family who came to visit me. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and our tour leader was very friendly, relaxed, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. The day felt unhurried, with plenty of time to take in the views and enjoy each stop. We had a super nice bus as well. We all came away very satisfied and with great memories and made some friends. I would happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland, or even locals like myself who haven’t yet explored these places properly. Thank you for the whole Glaciers and Waterfalls Team!! :)
We had an amazing day on the Golden Circle with Lorenzo. It was a small, intimate tour. Lorenzo was super knowledgeable and was a great hang. I’m afraid to take other tours because he set the bar so high!
Our guide Einur (...sorry I'm not 100% on the spelling!) was fantastic! He was fun (and funny!), knowledgeable (as one would expect from a local), an excellent driver, and very helpful. Since there were only 6 of us in total on this trip, he gave us some tips on doing a little extra at some of the stops as we had a bit more time than if we'd been a larger group. He took some photos for us at the greenhouse, and I got to entertain him with explaining why someone from Hawaiʻi would get a degree in Scandinavian studies! The Laugarás Lagoon was amazing. The sodas they make there with herbs they pick locally are delicious. 10/10, would highly recommend to anyone, and would happily do it again some day!
Out guide was great Zaxi ! So funny and we felt safe in the snow . We highly recommend we had only 6 people it was so informative and a wonderful experience.
It was an out of this world experience. The guide was very friendly and informative. The tomato farm was a good one, one perfect Instagram experience. All you can eat tomato soup and the bread was something else. Who knew there was a tomato beer and a tomato icecream...amazing
We did the Golden Circle, Fridheimar Tomato farm, Laugaras Lagoon tour today. Our guide was Sven who was personable, very knowledgeable, and fun. He gave us historical back ground on each of the places we visited. It was an awesome time! The day was ended with a visit to the newest geothermal spa, Laugaras lagoon! I would highly recommend Waterfalls and Glaciers’ Golden Circle tour.
This is a great day tour, combining the best of the golden circle in the morning, lunch amongst the cherry tomato plants and an afternoon relaxing at the Laugarás lagoon. We had a fantastic time with our guide Einar, chatting about the country, its history and landscape. The lagoon has great new facilities and is blissfully uncrowded (for now!). Our 9 year old daughter was able to join (admission to the lagoon is 8yrs+) and loved it. For our first visit to Iceland, this tour gave us a lot to see and varied experiences in one day. I highly recommend it!
I booked with Glaciers and Waterfalls at short notice when another company unexpectantly cancelled our original tour. Unlike the first company, although we were the only people booked the tour went ahead as planned. Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable with a great selection in en-route music. He stopped in a couple of extra places so we could take photos and was very relaxed with the schedule giving us extra time at some locations when we wanted it. We chose the Golden Circle, Tomato Farm and Lagoon Tour. It ranks as one of my most favourite days ever. The three Golden circle locations were spectacular. The food at the tomato farm was delicious. It was so amazing to go from an icy snow-covered car park to a restaurant which felt like a warm spring day. Inside was filled with tomato plants and dotted with flowers in the middle of February. After the tomato farm was the lagoon. It was spotlessly clean, modern with lovely changing rooms and facilities. The lagoon had beautiful views over snow covered hills and there were no more than 20 people in the lagoon at any time, drinks were varied and really tasty. I cannot recommend this company and this tour highly enough. The day out will last long in my memory and I would do the whole day again given half a chance.
