Golden Circle is the ultimate day tour route from Reykjavik. It includes three Iceland's iconic destinations: Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir national park.

The tour operator Bus Travel Iceland is efficient and responsive. They were able to accomodate my change to move forward 1 day earlier for my tour though i booked through Viator. They were also prompt in replying to my queries when contacted. The guides Addi (golden circle) and Kuba (Northern lights) were experienced and knowledgeable. We were able to enjoy the highlights of the tour within schedule confortably. And we managed to see the northern lights, even the dancing one! Amazing experience.

This was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Our guide, Helgi, was fantastic. There was a good amount of time at each stop, and they were all places to definitely not miss! Including the Blue Lagoon in the tour made it an especially great value. We did not have to worry about booking, or getting there on time, or anything. It was much more relaxing to have it just be part of the entire day's tour. Also communication from the tour company was excellent. Roadworks made it necessary to change the pick-up location and they made the process very easy.
MERIEKE was a terrific driver and guide. She paced a very long day expertly. We saw all the highlights, including the blue Lagoon. We also did the extended tour that included chasing the northern lights. Kuba did a great job. Finding some in an otherwise overcast sky. All in all a great day well worth the value.
We had a fantastic start to the day on our first tour with Siggi as our guide. He had stories to tell about everything we passed along the way, and he made us laugh so much that we completely forgot about the rain. It was a wonderful day, and I would love to come back with my children and take them on a tour with Siggi so they can laugh just as much while learning so many fascinating things. We spent the evening with Daniel, who took us on an exciting hunt for the Northern Lights. We learned a lot about how to search for them and just how difficult and unpredictable it can be. We did get to see some Northern Lights, and for a few exciting minutes, we almost witnessed a volcanic eruption as well! A huge thank you to Siggi and Daniel for two wonderful and memorable tours!
Bit of a long day, but well worth all the sites you see. Leave the driving to them and take in all the unique scenery, or nap if need be.
The Icelandic tour guide was lovely
Went 9/3/26. Raining so we were standing under an awning about 50 yards away. At 8:01 a van pulled up and we immediately went over and the van drove away as I was showing my tickets his sign said golden circle. He drove away not opening his door. I sent the company a message via the messaging they had been sending me with updates. They responded right back saying not their van (no logo on van) they were coming with name of guide and license plate. Fantastic communication from the company. The tour guide Tobi was fantastic. He gave great information and humorous stories the entire time we were in the bus. We did Blue Lagoon first, which was great for us we were cold from the rain. We Dallas folks hate the cold. Turns out a fantastic time to go. There were several areas we were by ourselves. Weather not great that day but the entire day was fantastic anyway. Tobi had great knowledge and his story telling was just so fun. This maybe the most fun tour I have taken.
The day will be long but worth it! Enjoy the ride and the view! The best part was the blue lagoon, so relaxing!

Great trip although extreme weather conditions meant we were stuck due to a road closure on the mountain. The guide Anna was very knowledgeable & informative & made sure we still had a fab experience seeing the best sights & the driver kept us safe throughout the challenging drive. We did the Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon tour. The weather was mad and so changeable - we had a great experience. The secret lagoon is really worthwhile- cold outside but so warm waters. Not rushed. Andrea and Simon the driver did a great job.
The tour itself was excellent and the driver /guide Addi was friendly and knowledgeable. I’d have rated the tour 5 however, the pickup was 30 minutes after the advised time which meant we had been waiting for over an hour to be collected.
Great experience and would do again! Siggi made the trip and gave us the full experience of Iceland. In addition to the banter and his excellent sheep impression!

Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon was great, Siggie our tour guide was brilliant and I’d give him 6 stars. Unfortunately the Northern Lights tour was cancelled 4 times by Bus Tours Iceland even though others in our hotel still went on their tours, seen them and got great photos! Very disappointed
I had just 26 hours in Iceland during a stopover and wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. This Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, and Northern Lights tour absolutely delivered. From the very beginning, their communication was top notch. Before my trip, they were incredibly responsive in answering questions about airport transfers and hotel options. They made sure I chose accommodations close to a pickup location and understood exactly where I needed to be and when. That level of support made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. One thing I didn’t realize when booking is that this is essentially two tours with a break in between — one for the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon, and a separate departure later for the Northern Lights. It actually turned out to be a huge bonus. There was about an hour to an hour and a half between tours, which gave me time to go back to my hotel, change into warmer layers, grab something to eat, and recharge before heading back out. It made the long day much more comfortable and enjoyable. The Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon portion was beautifully organized, and everything ran efficiently without feeling rushed. The guides/drivers were informative, friendly, and entertaining — sharing interesting facts while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and fun. The Northern Lights portion was the perfect way to end the experience. We were lucky and had an incredible showing, but I really appreciated that they offer a free second attempt if you don’t see the lights on your first try — and that it’s valid for up to three years. That kind of policy shows they truly care about guests having the best possible experience. As a solo traveler, this tour was ideal. I didn’t have to worry about renting a car, navigating in winter conditions, or coordinating logistics. Everything was handled seamlessly — I just had to show up and enjoy Iceland. If you have limited time in Iceland and want to make the absolute most of it, this tour is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Monica was a great tour guide. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and kept us on schedule. The tour was great! The Northern Lights tour was also great, with a experienced and knowledgeable guide. I dont remember the tour guides name but he drove bus #197. My only critique was the bus assigned to Monica was older and not as nearly as nice as all the other Tours I have taken.
Our driver/guide was Kubar and he was lots of fun. We did the Golden Circle and the first waterfall was not the most spectacular waterfall but there were several more along the way. Loved Geyser where we were treated to spurts every 5-10 minutes. Another highlight was a couple of hours at the Blue Lagoon. A very commercial attraction but relaxing and the water was gorgeous. I don’t think this stop was factored in because I was lead to believe we’d be back to Retkjavik at 5.30pm but weren’t back until 8.30 with just enough time to rug up for night tour for Northern Lights at 9.30. Michael was our very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and we were taken out of town to various locations chasing sightings, sitting and waiting for long spells squashed like sardines before finally being off loaded to stand in front of Michael’s high tech camera which magically made the lights appear unlike our own blank screens but very grateful to have photographic evidence even though we didn’t actually see the lights with the naked eye. Thank you Michael for the hot chocolate & chocolates. With hindsight I think it would be better to split this tour taking the night tour on a different day. We didn’t get back to town until 2.30am so a very long day.
It's a very long trip but you get to cover and see so much of Iceland and all the key spots within the day, happy to recommend. Our guide Monika was really happy to explain everything and made sure we saw everything in the day. and the guide for the Northern lights bit was very helpful with us , helping us take the best pictures of the lights as well.
This was amazing!! Only thing is it is a long day & that’s with the Northern Lights being cancelled. Think better if this is split over 2 days

We enjoyed our full day tour to the Golden Circle, Geyser and Blue Lagoon. Addi was our tour guide and driver. He kept us informed about all the history and all that good stuff. He recommended us what to do, what to eat, etc. definitely 💯 recommend Bus Travel Iceland and Addi.
Our guide for the morning was Helgi, he was great at explaining Iceland history and over various areas, he would give us the option of how we would like to enjoy a couple of the locations, if going at winter be aware that the waterfall area is thick with ice on the walkways. After a quick lunch we moved on to the blue lagoon, may want to take own flip flops to walk to and from lagoon as not part of package and a waterproof case for your phone is advisable, we were there at dark and with the steam you can easily get separated. Our guide for the night Steiner was amazing, we were very fortunate that within minutes of almost arriving at our location they appeared and it was a amazing show, there was hot chocolate and treats, he was helpful with taking photographs and clearly loves taking people on the tours.
We had an awesome time on the Northern Lights, Golden Circle, and Blue Lagoon tour! HBO, our daytime driver, was great, and Devin, our nighttime driver, was AMAZING. Not having to drive was a huge plus, and everyone got to enjoy the scenery. A couple of tips: bring snacks and be ready for a late night—the tour went until 2 or 3 AM, not midnight like we thought. Also, a bit more time at the Blue Lagoon would’ve been nice. We were lucky and got to see the lights - mostly through my iPhone 16, older models were not quite as good at catching them. Next time I will bring a small travel tripod, too. Overall, highly recommend this tour!
Very well organised right from pick up to drop off. Guide was very knowledgeable and made the long bus journey so interesting.. Fantastic trip!
