The sceneries were incredible. We covered three insanely amazing places in one day. The hike was perfect for my wife and I. Not too easy not insanely hard.

Crazy good experience, the hike to the glacier was a little challenging for some members of the group but fine for anyone who keeps regularly active. Lorenzo our guide was very knowledgeable about the glacier and the area and took us on a route to see a super cool ice cave!
Amazing tour!! The glacier hike was the best excursion, challenging in the most positive way. The black sand beach was beautiful, and the waterfall was the perfect way to cap off this tour. Would highly recommended booking with Glaciers & Waterfalls. 10/10
Incredible glacier hike along with stops on the South Coast. Our guide Lorenzo took us on a great journey with the highlight being the glacier hike. He helped with all the equipment, made sure we felt comfortable at all times regarding the hike and safety, and gave us enough time to see everything without feeling too rushed. He showed us a few photo op spots too in the crevasses and ice caves. The black sand beach and waterfall stops were great as well. No lunch included but you do stop at a gas station on the way to the glacier. Tip: the supermarket across the street from the gas station is much cheaper.
The itin was planned just good. It took me to glacier hike in the largest glacier in Europe. At the glacier, Lorenzo showed us few gorgeous spots and how can we get to these spots. It is definitely the most exciting tour of my trip in Iceland
Lorenzo was an amazing guide. He was patient and very informative. He made this a great experience for all. I would recommend this activity to people visiting and you should book it with Lorenzo.
We had such an amazing time on our glacier hike today! The views were absolutely stunning, and getting to explore the ice cave made the experience even more special. Our guide, Lorenzo, was fantastic! He was friendly, patient and really helpful throughout the hike, always making sure we were doing okay and safe. The pick-up was right on time too, and everything went smoothly. A big thank you to Jose as well for being so prompt and helpful with all our booking enquiries. Overall, such a memorable experience. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Lorenzo was fantastic! Really helped show and explain the tour while keeping everybody safe!
Experienced Guide!Professional and multi skills!!! Glad to join your tour!
It was a super smooth and nice experience. Our guide Lorenzo was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend and you get to see super beautiful places.
Fantastic full day tour and Sevni was an amazing guide. The glacier hike was fantastic, though not sure I’d categorise it for all ages/abilities now the route has changed. But Sveni kept a pace to ensure everyone was comfortable, and there were rest stops at viewing points. Plenty of time at all the stops, and even an extra stop at Skógafossv falls thrown in! Would definitely recommend 👍
Iceland is very expensive. You pay more than you would have expected for everything and anything. I rented an economy car for 2 days and it cost me $270. Plan on spending $400 a day to visit Iceland. The scenery is nice, but I won't go back to do the Ring Road.
Brilliant day out, best day of our trip to Iceland. Helped with a fantastic guide in Lorenzo, who was friendly, informative and passionate. 4 hour hike with 90mins on the glacier gave us a great experience and appreciation of the sheer size and scale, great fun. Black sand beach and waterfall were bonus stops and also great to see.
Lorenzo is amazing!! Provided a lot of information. This tour was very enjoyable! 10/10
Lorenzo was an amazing guide. Very informative and very funny. He was very knowledgeable of all the natural beauties of Iceland. He was also very skilled at hiking up and down the mountains to get to the glaciers. Best of all, Lorenzo’s playlist for the almost. 4 hours of driving was fire
i had an amazing time !! thank you to our guide lorenzo !
Very good and fun tour w a great tour guide !!
It was a very fulfilling day, we learned more about Iceland on this tour. Thomas, our guide, was amazing & very knowledgeable. We had an amazing hike at the glacier, then saw some awesome waves at the black beach! The falls at the end of the tour was another treat! Thank you.
This tour was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend. Lorenzo is an incredible guide, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The glacier hike can be a bit strenuous depending on your level of experience - it’s about an hour hike to the glacier, an hour hiking on the glacier in crampons, and an hour back, with some uphill portions. But Lorenzo made sure everyone was prepared and felt comfortable, and people were able to go at their own speed. I’d definitely recommend wearing all waterproof clothing and if there is any chance of rain, bringing a dry change of clothes. We bought sandwiches at the rest stop in the morning and ate them on the beach, which was lovely. There is also a cafe at the beach if you prefer.
We had a great time! Our tour guide Lorenzo was very friendly and super knowledgeable. He was also very patient with the people on the tour who did not follow instructions very well lol! Totally recommend. We learned a lot about glaciers and the history of the south coast thanks to our great guide.
Had a fantastic day seeing the south coast of Iceland with Lorenzo. Started with the glacier hike which was such an amazing experience. Lorenzo made everyone feel safe and explained the equipment and all about the glacier. Then we went to the black sand beach and ended the day with a waterfall. Highly recommended doing this tour.
Christian was a great guide. Knowledgeable. Sense of humor. Patient. Very safety conscience on the glacier hike. Also stoped at a water fall, black sand beach, etc. A great day!
If you're looking for amazing views and the ability to walk on a glacier, this is the excursion for you. Just know that it's not a mild hike. It took 45 minutes to an hour to hike to the glacier with some very steep descents on a very narrow path. Our guide was well ahead of a lot of the group and rarely checked to be sure that everyone was keeping up. One our walk back to the starting point, he even ran ahead of several other groups to catch up with another guide and walk back with him. One of the most amazing things we've done but guide needed to be more attentive. One other thing...our pick up location was changed the day before as well as the itinerary.
Our guide Lorenzo was amazing! We had an amazing day especially during the glacier hike
Outstanding trip w Lorenzo and Glacier and Waterfalls tour company. We got to see so much of Iceland. The best was the hike on the Glacier. The tour includes a ~45 minute hike to the Glacier, so beautiful! Don't overdressed. It will be cooler on the Glacier, but you are moving so nothing too heavy. Just waterproof top level. Lorenzo did a great job - thank you!!
Overall and amazing experience. The waterfalls were a fun pit spot on the way to the main event. We spent 3 hours hiking with about and hour on the glacier. The views alone made the trip worth it. Lorenzo was a fantastic guide.
Really good experience and great value for money got to see multiple places, alongside the glacier which was an amazing experience, the freedom of the driver made things even better allowing us to adapt to the weather and go at more reliable times, alongside the driver been extremely knowledgeable
Roberto made our south Coast adventure a special day. He told stories about his move from Italy to Iceland. He answered all of our questions and he even sang! This was an excellent tour. Note, the glacier hike is a once in a lifetime experience, and it’s a challenge. Luckily everyone in our group kept up and had proper footwear and clothing If u get a good guide this can be a great tour
The guide was amazing, I liked it overall. Though, it could have been nicer if I spent more time in the glacier hike. The duration for glacier hiking isn't exactly 4 hours, we spent 1 hour each way to reach the glacier point, and maybe only 1.5 hr inside the glacier for the hike. But still, it is good. I would pick a dedicated glacier hike next time, without the additional waterfalls.
Had a great time the guide was helpful and even though the hike was a bit tough the views were worth it
The glacier hike was an amazing experience! The entire trip was so beautiful, mountains, waterfalls, beach/ocean, and the view from the glacier was one I will never forget!
Overall, this was an excellent value and experience, albeit a challenging hike that is not for beginners or those who are out of shape. Our guide was chatty, fun, and clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. There was a medical emergency during the tour, and our guide handled it calmly while keeping the group together and organized. We were taken back to our bus and given the option to extend the tour by about 30 minutes to an hour to visit another waterfall. We really appreciated this. The hike itself to the glacier is moderate to hard. As a long distance runner, I found myself out of breath at a few points. There are several very steep and slippery paths up and down the mountain to the glacier. The glacier itself is an easy to moderate hike due to the icy conditions and crampons. None of this took away from the 5 stars I am leaving. I would absolutely take this tour and/or book with this company again!
The weather issues caused the Glacier hikes to be cancelled but the tour guide was super friendly and helpful and took us to another waterfall as a backup. It was an overall amazing experience and thank our lucky stars the sun came out when we were at the waterfall which made the scenary absolutely amazing
(Friday, August 14) We enjoyed all the tours we did on our 8 day trip, but the Sólheimajökull Glacier hike was hands down the most special of them all. It was just an unbelievable, spectacular experience. The weather was beautiful and sunny and perfect in every way which made the views during the hikes to and from the glacier, and especially on top of the glacier, amazing and jaw-dropping. This really helped make up for the bad weather we had on Eclipse day. I can’t eve describe how cool being on top of a glacier is. (no pun intended - but, yes, the temperature does drop quite a bit!) The ice formations are something to see. And you can drink the running water and fill up your bottles! The hike to and from the glacier is no joke. But it is totally doable for a beginner in decent shape. We did have a few members who opted to drop out at a couple of points because they felt the hike was too much for them. So be forewarned if you have mobility or health issues. At all times, our amazing guide Lorenzo was super attentive and went out of his way to make sure everyone was okay and accounted for. Lorenzo was a great tour guide over all and made the subsequent trips to the Black Sand Beach and Seljalandfoss waterfall very pleasant and memorable. Unfortunately we had to skip Skogafoss because we lost some time up on the glacier - but I consider that a good trade. Seriously. You MUST climb the glacier!
Very disappointed in this tour for the lack of info valuable and quite honestly also safety. It is labeled as a beginner and/or easy hike when the tour changed a week ago making it a 50 minute hike TO THE GLACIER each way. This was info that should have been shared with those of us that booked this tour many months ago. 2 of our party of 4 could not even make it to the glacier due to this significant change. They really did not get the tour they paid for. The other two of us felt we went that far we didn’t want to miss it. But this was info that should have been offered when the change occurred as we have since heard other tours were made aware. This is not a reflection on the guide as Jose was outstanding but the company Glaciers and Waterfalls was remiss causing a real financial loss for some and a potential safety issue for the false pretenses of a beginner type hike
My girlfriend and I did took this tour on our second day in Iceland and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide Sven was prompt with picking us up, kept a tight schedule, and provided insightful commentary throughout the tour regarding the natural and cultural history of Iceland. On our way to the south coast Sven took us for a quick 15 minute stop at a gas station / convenience store. Here you can use the bathroom and purchase some snacks and pre-made sandwhiches. It is recommended to purchase food here as there is no food or drinks untill you reach the black sand beach about halfway through the tour, there is no food/drink at the glacier. In addition, food and drink at the black sand beach and waterfalls was extremely expensive in our opinion ($35 USD for a hamburger and fries) which as a huge shock coming from USA We started the tour with an amazing 3-4 hour glacier hike where we actually walked on the glacier ice. Bring layers because the hike to the glacier can be a bit warmer and then the temerpature can drop 10-15 degrees once actually on the glacier, especially if it starts to get cloudy. We were provided crampons and an ice axe for safety and stability while hiking on the ice. Sven even took us for a brief stop where we could drink some stream water straight from the glacier! Keep in mind, you should have a moderate level of physical fitness for this part of the tour and be comfotable with hiking some steep, rocky inclines - we noticed some older folk going a bit slower and more carefully but they still made it just fine. After the glacier we drove over to the black sand beach for 1 hour which was very beautiful. After the beach we stopped at 2 different waterfalls for 30 minutes each. Waterproof/resistant clothing and shoes is necessary if you wish to get close to the waterfalls as they throw off a lot of mist and waterspray. If you do not wish to get too close, regular clothing is just fine. Overall this tour was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone visting iceland. Value for the price is great in my opinion as this was a full 11-12 tour with only about 15-20 people in our group and Sven does his best to accomodate everyone and avoid larger tour groups at the different stops.
Sven and Aynar were had every thing so well planned out! Definitely wear hiking shoes!! And water proof gear, that waterfall goes everywhere! Such a beautiful place and itinerary! Perfect number of people. Thank you!
The glacier hike is amazing. The views were amazingly beautiful. The waterfalls were really majestic and the black beach is quite fascinating. Our guide Kristoff is very friendly, funny and really good. He knows a lot and we find it very interesting and informative. Overall the tour is really good. Thumbs up.
We had a great tour with our guide Svenni. He had a lot of history and information for our group. We felt safe on the glacier and the order of our events was perfect!
Really cool tour with the glacier walk being the highlight. Lorenzo was a great guide that took great care of us. Highly recommended.
One of the best tours I did during my stay in Iceland. The glacier hike was spectacular, and I got lucky enough to be there during a sunny day. The hike was not difficult and absolutely beginner friendly. The rest of the trip included Reynisfijara, the black sand beach, and two waterfalls, Skogafoss and Seljalandfoss, all incredible and worth a visit. Special mention to Lorenzo, the guide, he was very informative and attentive towards the group! I would definetely recommend the tour
It was a very enjoyable day! Lorenzo took good care of the group.
Lorenzo was a great guide - he brought us onto a beautiful glacier hike
Al, our guide, truly made the trip a wonderful experience for all of us. He was always cheerful, knowledgeable, and very patient. I really appreciated his insights on the road, and most of all, his leadership during the glacier hike, an experience I don't believe any of us on the trip had ever had before. That glacier hike was the best! I had not expected it to be that interesting or exhilarating as it was, and now I am hooked, and would like to go on another glacier adventure. Thank you, Al, for welcoming all of us tourists, for your kindness, and for sprinkling the tour with enjoyable background information about this incredible land of fire and ice.
The glacier hike was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Michal was a great guide who made the experience great. We got to spend a good amount of time on the glacier to make it worth it. And the other stops were great too.
This was such a fun adventure! Our guide, Lorenzo, was awesome! Highly recommend if you want to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience of walking on a glacier!
Fantastic experience, full day of adventure. Our guide Michal was amazing. He really went that extra mile to ensure we had a memorable experience. Really well organised, would highly recommend!
I already took this tour two years ago with my son. This year I took my daughter. Ignacio was an excellent, fun, professional, and knowledgeable guide, answering any questions we had and making sure we were having a great time while being safe on the glacier. Usually, the tour will pick you up at the hotels in Reykjavik. However, we were already in Hella, which is on the way to the waterfalls and glacier, and were picked up and dropped off close to our hotel in Hella. The waterfalls were amazing and fun. We also visited the Black Sand Beach. All in all, this tour is worth its price and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Lorenzo was a great tour guide, the waterfalls were beautiful and walking on the glacier was so cool. Black sand beach was great too. Be prepared for any weather conditions, we went from nice out to windy and stormy very fast, and this applies to all of Iceland not just this tour. Highly recommend this full day tour for anyone who likes cool things in nature.
Michal is an excellent guide! His enthusiasm and experience made this a great excursion for our family. I appreciated his emphasis on safety on the glacier hike while making it fun and exhilarating. We had plenty of time to spend at each of the spectacular sites on this tour. I highly recommend this tour with Michal!
