Your adventure will commence at the Reykjavik Domestic Airport. Our experienced pilot will greet you with the warmest welcome and whisk you straight towards the Þórisjökull glacier for our first landing. During the journey towards the glacier we will fly you across the highest most bedazzled waterfall in all of Iceland; the famed Glymur.
This helicopter tour will save you hours of hiking and you will enjoy the panoramic view from your comfortable seat high in the sky. Once we reach our designated landing stop atop the vast glacier; you will have a chance to meander across the glacier, take photos and make countless memories! Throw snowballs, have a snowball fight! Build your very own snow angel and try making an snowman! Just simply enjoying the stunning view is enough in its own right as well! The crisp fresh glacier air is tantalizing to your senses.
We will take you the Þingvellir National Park, on the Golden Circle, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place is of considerable historical importance as it proudly boasts being the birthplace of the oldest existing parliament in the world. Here, You will also have a chance to gaze upon the sparkling waters of Iceland’s largest lake. The area weaves a colorful tapestry of Icelandic history. You will gaze upon the imprints of the Vikings when looking down the Canyon that splits the American and the Eurasian continents at the Þingvellir National Park. You will also have a chance to see the continental drift of the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates that’s fully visible from above.
The second landing of this tour would be at the Hengill Geothermal Area. The area received its name from the Hengill volcano which is situated in a remote valley that can only be accessed by a helicopter or a hike. The valley boasts hot springs, boiling mud pots that you can walk towards and observe from very up close. The magical place will wrap you around its enchanted little finger and make you fall in love with the otherworldly beauty surrounding you.

Absolutely stunning, amazing experience. Was the absolute highlight of our 9 week trip. Incredible experience landing on the glacial ice. Flying low and slow over the spectacular landscape of glaciers, gorges and waterfalls.
The whole experience was fantastic. Everything was well organised and efficient at the office, we didn't have to wait long before being walked across to the helicopter. The pilot was very friendly and gave an excellent commentary through the flight pointing out and explaining what we could see below. The route was great and the scenery was stunning. The two stops really added to the experience. Landing on top of the glacier and having the time to walk around and take photos was unlike anything we had done before ! Overall I would highly recommend - we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had an amazing experience on an unfortunately weather impacted trip where the weather closed in preventing the glacier landing. Outside of the mist, the weather was sunny & incredible and we had a more focussed flight and landing on the volcanic lava fields - they were incredible. Our pilot Phillipe was also a very professional pilot and also a humorous and friendly guide and we enjoyed a good conversation while landed. We can’t recommend this company strongly enough - such a great experience
My fiance and I had such a great time in this tour. We were spending the week in Iceland and decided to splurge a little on this and it was the highlight of the trip. The two landings were fantastic and our pilot was awesome. She was all business during the flight (safety and professional way), but once we landed, her and my fiance seemed to be having a blast together. It was amazing. We absolutely loved our experience. It was utterly amazing. I felt after I did this I would’ve had to do the golden circle. Too many tourists to impersonal. We went on the Fire and Ice tour and it was amazing. Both stops were beautiful and interesting. The flight over Reykjavik was stunning and flying close to the beautiful waterfalls and other sights on the way was a fantastic experience. Our pilot Kai was great and the flight felt smooth. The helicopter itself looked a little old and the audio in the onboard headsets wasn't great, but you will be much to busy staring out on the Icelandic scenery to care. This was the highlight of our stay, totally worth it!
We had perfect weather for our Fire and Ice Helicopter Tour, and what an incredible way to see Iceland! Our first landing was in the Hengill geothermal area, surrounded by an otherworldly landscape of steaming hot springs and bubbling mud pools. It really felt like we had landed on another planet. From there, we flew over Þingvellir National Park, with amazing views of the sparkling waters of Þingvallavatn, Iceland’s largest natural lake. We could even see the dramatic rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates from above — amazing! But the absolute highlight for us was the second landing: on a glacier. Beyond words. The scenery was breathtaking and standing there surrounded by endless ice and mountains was such a surreal experience. We only wished we could have stayed a little longer, but the winds were starting to pick up. Our pilot and guide was friendly, funny and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful and truly memorable way to experience Iceland’s incredible landscapes — from fire to ice!

The Flight was amazing. Especially since there were stops included and you go to regions which are not easily accessible. Unfortunnately on our sunny day was too much wind so we could not stop at the glacier. However, this was no Problem. Kai, the Pilot was very nice, took us instead around the glacier. We had a great time. The stop at the hot Springs was very Special. We took so many beautiful pictures. This trip is highly recommended.

An absolutely brilliant once in a lifetime experience seeing Iceland from the air. Sebastian was an amazing pilot and guide giving us plenty time to explore the unique settings of a glacier Liv Barfield and Pro providing insights to the tectonic activity that shaped and formed Iceland over the years.
The day didn't start very well, with thick clouds and strong winds. Although we couldn't do the tour exactly as booked, the team from Glacier Heli immediately worked on a solution, and within half an hour, we had a fantastic replacement tour planned. The flight itself was incredible. Our pilot, who even spoke German with us, first flew us over the lava fields south of Reykjavik and shared fascinating details about the various volcanic eruptions. We then continued past the geothermal power plants to the Hengill Geothermal Area, where we made a stopover for a short guided walk. On the return flight, the pilot even pointed out our AIDA cruise ship from above. It was an absolute highlight and worth every penny!

Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended - everything through from making the booking to departing after our flight was highly efficient, really welcoming, friendly and just superb. Our pilot was lovely and really fun!! Such a smooth flight, he was pointing out features as we flew and couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Even did a couple of stunts at the end!! Hello, it was a really good experience. Reykjavík airport is a heleport that you have to be patient with. Cloud cover hangs out. We had to wait three times but that was OK because we eventually went out and the experience was worth it. Great flight and very good people to experience it with. I hope this company does well! Great trip! The crew adapted well to the weather so we still managed to see all the main attractions. The pilot always did a few passes to everyone could see. I have add other tours in others countries, I do feel this was priced quite a bit higher than those but so is everything else in Iceland.

Getting in the hello was difficult for person with limited mobility (81 years) but was helped by pilot and was able to attend. The scenery is to die for. Our pilot was very informative and helpful. This is a great tour, completely different from the Alaska helicopter ride to a glacier

Just exceptional, the whole experience was real bucket list stuff. Laura the pilot was both a skilled pilot and a geo physicist! The perfect combination for landing on a volcano then telling your all about it. Highly recommend.
Weather conditions might affect where you’re going. You should dress for the weather. Wear ski pants and hiking boots.

The helicopter ride was spectacular, definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. An amazing way to see this magnificent country. The pilot was first class. The only monor quibble was the staff told ys to be there for 11am, then phoned me at 1045 saying I was late.
