Dive into the clear water in Silfra fissure, one of the world's top rated diving locations. Diving between 2 continents is a very unique experience and on many bucket lists. You have to be a certified diver to participate in this activity and have a dry-suit experience (10 dives within the last 2 years, in a dry-suit, or dry-suit certified). Afterwards, you will have hot chocolate and biscuits to warm yourself up.

This was an experience not to be missed. We were lucky enough to do our dive on a sunny day when the water was at its bluest. Our guide Ariana was fantastic, a beautiful blend of enthusiasm, fun and professionalism. We were a small group of three couples with varying degrees of snorkelling experience, so some of us needed more guidance than others 😁 but at all times we felt completely safe and supported. I would recommended this unique experience to anyone, even if you’ve never snorkelled before, and Arctic Adventures were brilliant, from booking right the way through to downloading our photos from their website after the event.
Snorkeling in Silfra Fissure was one of the coolest experiences of our entire Iceland trip! Floating in the unbelievably clear glacial water between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates was truly exhilarating, surreal, and something we will never forget. From start to finish, the Arctic Adventures team made us feel completely safe, prepared, and excited. The guides helped us get geared up, patiently answered all our questions, explained exactly what to expect, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident before entering the water. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made a huge difference. A special shout-out to Laura, who was absolutely fantastic! She was a standout and helped make the experience even more memorable. We spent approximately 40 minutes in the water, floating peacefully through the fissure. Once you're in the dry suit and settled into the experience, it's surprisingly relaxing and easy, provided you're comfortable swimming and prepared for the cold water on your exposed face. You don't need to be an expert snorkeler to enjoy it. This is genuinely a bucket-list experience and one of those things you can do in Iceland that you simply can't replicate anywhere else. If you're considering it, DO IT! Arctic Adventures made the entire experience seamless, safe, and unforgettable. We couldn't recommend it more!

Our guide Ilia was awesome, give this woman a raise, she was so patient and helpful and easy to get along with and it was clear she cares about the environment and the areas the tour goes through! For the tour itself, the waters are crystal clear and the experience is really cool. The cold wasn’t that bad at all. The staff assessed what size fleece lining, dry suits, gloves, hats, masks, and flippers we’d need very well. The suit has silicone seals around the wrists and neck but they aren’t too tight or restrictive, I was very worried about it while watching everyone else put their suits on but after putting on my own, it was alright. However there are like 5 different companies that all schedule tours at the SAME SPOT. So if you are going on a really busy time of year, no matter what company you book with, you will be waiting in line about an hour after suiting up to get into the water. Otherwise I have no negative comments! Just hope all these companies can agree to having a more reasonable cap on the number of people booked per day.

Even though it was quite busy, the crew made everything go smoothly. Once in the water you don’t even notice anyone else except for your own group. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend it. My thanks to the crew and Fernande our guide :)

The experience was fantastic!! Our guide, Alecs, was incredibly attentive to everyone in the group and was always available whenever we needed anything.
It was amazing, the only thing i would have been happier if we put the seals on our suits a bit closer to when we got in the water. It felt like there was plenty of time in line for our guide to get us situated 20 min closer to dive time. But i understand why it was done when it was.
Our experience with Arctic Adventures was terrible. As there are several other companies that offer exactly the same service (free photos+snorkeling+snacks), I would highly suggest going with any other company and to avoid this company completely. My friends and I were promised photos during our snorkelling session and was left with absolutely no photos. In an attempt to ask for a partial refund, Arctic Adventures would provide no compensation despite them admitting fault that they had lost the photos. Note that you may not get any photos at the end of the experience.! Furthermore, a worker poorly treated my friend where she was body shamed for not fitting into the wetsuit provided. The worker encouraged her to just sit out of the excursion entirely and we had to step in and ask if they had a larger suit, which they later retrieved with an annoyed look on their face. Our friend was left humiliated throughout the whole experience, so if you have a larger figure, expect to be embarrassed. Absolutely unprofessional from the customer service representatives and from the workers at the snorkelling site.

Unless you have rented a car, I do not recommend meeting on location. The taxis are very expensive. When booking, double check that you choose pickup. It will make your experience much easier. Snorkeling was challenging, but the views are worth it. Our guide Laura from Spain was absolutely amazing. She was very patient and helpful.

I had Niko as a dive guide, he was phenomenal. Very hospitable, knew the site very well. Went over safety regulations. Helped me get all my gear on which was a huge help because normally I put my own gear on. So having somebody assist you with all the equipment is a massive bonus. Would highly recommend this tour if you are dry suit certified. For all you divers out there, I can’t say enough about the clarity of the water. It was mesmerizing, truly feels like you’re floating in mid air!
10/10 highly recommend Arctic Adventures for your Silfra Diving tour! The directions to parking and meeting point were very clear. Nico was a wondeful guide and took great pictures of us in the water! He walked us through the equipment and snorkel path very efficiently and we felt super comfortable in the water (we even felt quite warm, except for hands and face!) Israel was our guide and he was great. He was very fun to be with and really boosted the overall experience of the whole guide. The views were amazing and very cool. Israel was very funny and easy to talk to. Definitely worth the money. From start to end everyone was very nice and friendly. I was just with my family with was nice. The other groups did not seem over crowded. The guides give you lots of freedom with were you can go and where things are. We were there for 2 hours and spent around 30-45 minutes diving which was perfect. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend.

We loved this tour! It was amazing!! Water was so clear and no nearly as cold as I was expecting it to be!! What made it even better was our guide, Aleks. She made us feel comfortable and safe, while also being fast and efficient helping us getting ready and undressed. She definitely made the experience better!! Highly recommend!
This was a unique experience for our family of 4 (including 2 teenage boys). Silfra was so clear and the algae and rock formations were beautiful. Arctic Adventures was well run, with an excellent meeting place, equipment, and knowledgeable guides. We had a great time with our guide Hernàn who was both personable and kept safety front of mind.

Excellent experience all around! Booking was simple and affordable through the operator. Larger sized participants may not be as comfortable in the gear. Once you gear up, there is a relatively long wait to actually get in the water based on the way the tours are scheduled and enter the water due to national park ranger requirements, but no way around that. Our guide, Michi, was calm, reassuring, friendly and competent. You could tell she enjoys her job. This is a must do if you enjoy exploring the water.

Our first experience snorkeling at Silfra was excellent. Our guide (Francesca) was the best!! Getting in the jumpsuit and drysuit was quite a workout, but worth it! They really did keep us dry. Only our hands and hair got wet. We felt safe with our guide watching us the whole time. Would absolutely do it again!

We did the snorkeling in Silfa with them in - [x] Þingvellir National Park. Email communication was sent several times with where to park, meet and expect. Once there I was not prepared for the experience, the beauty of the drive through the park takes your breath away! Once you park you are surrounded by a waterfall, a hike and a small church! Use the restroom before check in! Once you are briefed you walk over to jump on the water, your guide takes lots of pictures, thank you Marcin! The water is so clear and colorful! There was no fish, which was shocking and true water is freezing, but you are so bundled up you only feel it in a few areas like face and hands. This is a once in a lifetime experience, to say you swam between the plates.
This was our second time doing this activity! So much fun. Beautiful landscape both above and below the water. Well worth the price, especially since you get GoPro photos at the end! The staff are all very friendly and helpful! Ensure that you come prepared- bring extra clothes in the event water leaks through the suit and wear thermals under your clothes (you'll be changing into the dry/wet suits outside with no cover). Also I'd recommend wearing easy to remove/apply shoes.
Absolutely worth the price paid. Easy to book direct with operator, no hidden fees. Just the right amount of duration for the snorkling tour. Perfect for those with a sense of adventure or just want to explore swimming between two continents. The staff will also use their go-pro and take photos of you swimming in the fissure. Dominka was extremely helpful and supportive. Mum was not the greatest swimmer and it was her first time snorkling but she managed to do the whole journey with Dominka's help. Each group was only maximum of 6 people which allows each staff to guide and support appropriately.
It was a fun adventure snorkeling in the Silfra. Our entire family had a great time. Francesca was a great guide and helped us get ready for our adventure. She was our personal guide for this experience. Even with the dry suit, your hands and face will get cold. The less you move your hands the warmer they will stay. Your chin and area below your nose will be numb, but it’s ok for the great sights you get to see. It was an awesome experience to see the divide between the North American and European plates. It’s worth the time and effort to get there and some amazing sights between the continents.
