Departure From Reykjavík – Private Transfer To Keflavík Airport

This was a good experience. We had gotten to Reykjavík on the coach transfer which we didn’t enjoy a bit of a zoo at the airport end so we decided to travel back by car. It arrived just ahead of the allotted time which was good the drive was very polite and the drive was very smooth. We got to the airport feeling relaxed and the first part of our journey home had been very comfortable.

We were on a cruise and was not familiar with the port at Reykjavik. Our flight was scheduled for noon and we were getting off the ship at 8 a.m. So we were pleasantly surprised that the Viator agent approached us amidst all the taxis and bus.

Highly recommend this option if you don’t want to do a bus with a ton of people. This is cheaper than a taxi going into the city.

We thought about using the Flybus to transfer back to the airport from Reykjavik however on the basis we had an early flight we decided better of it and looked for a private transfer instead. We found VIP travel on TripAdvisor and have to say from our initial enquiry through to our drop off at the airport we were really glad we did. As promised we received a confirmation e-mail the day before confirming our driver and were given his details in case there was a problem. There wasn’t…………….. !! Gulli arrived 10 minutes early which when you have a 5am pick up is a real relief, and we found him to be super helpful and friendly. So overall, appreciate a private transfer is more expensive however for a couple the extra isn’t as much as you think and it’s really worthwhile and a lot more comfortable !!
