Cruise Port Private Transfer To Keflavik Airport

This was an airport transfer from a cruise ship. Driver was punctual & polite. He contacted us with a text ( what's app would have been better). All went smoothly.

Company and driver communicated exceptionable well and the driver was at the port on time to pick our group up for an airport transfer.

Friendly and helpful driver; very punctual; contacted us upfront by phone to be sure about pickup place.

Had a little trouble looking for the driver, but everything worked out at the end

Our driver was excellent. He called me in advance and also emailed me to let us know that he was going to be on time and in fact earlier. He drove us to the airport in a very clean comfortable van. Don’t book this. Other operators had signs of who they were picking up. Nothing with this one. Couldn’t find him so had to pay a taxi to take us to the airport. Lots of taxis there so you’re better off doing that.

Highly recommend. This was a very hassle free ride to the airport from the cruise terminal. The driver was 15 minutes early and easy to find at the extremely busy and confusing port. He sent me a picture of his car in Whatsapp, which made it easy for me to meet up with him. Excellent, clean car and great driver.

Our driver, YOUSEF, was Beyond AMAZING! What an incredibly kind, positive and informative person. My adult kids and I didn't want the ride to end when we got to the airport. He shared so much about Iceland and how the country operates. He is an immigrant to the country so we got to hear his impressions from that perspective as well. He and his family have made Iceland their home, they are thriving and happy and he left us with such a wonderful and warm impression of Iceland that we would never have gotten. The Driver arrived on time, was very helpful, pleasant and courteous. The van was clean inside and out.

We pre-booked and prepaid weeks in advance for a transfer to the airport. At 2 AM they messaged us and requested more money for the remaining balance and said we should pay the driver in cash. We politely assured them we paid in full to the airport and we would see them at our 7am pick up. They then arrived late, took forever to get everything set up (walking around the car extra and taking his time on his phone). I think I’m a reasonable person but this was super painful when we were on a tight schedule to the airport. After shutting the doors and finally seeming ready our driver asked if we could allow two more people in our “private taxi”. We allowed this other couple to join as their hyper taxi driver was still not there and they were also in a rush going to the airport. The driver was a great driver and the vehicle was nice. I wasn’t too upset about the lateness or the second couple in our “private taxi”. However my real issue here is that the driver then held us up demanding the money once we got to the airport. He said that we didn’t pay in full beforehand and we owed him another €85. Luckily, we had printed a receipt clearly stating everything was paid in full with the start and end destinations. After him arguing with us for another 5 mins we felt comfortable walking away with our printed receipt. I am not a cheap person but I knew this was a scam!! The other couple also in a rush I’m sure paid whatevernumber they made up. I’ve traveled to five different continents and consider myself very reasonable. I never expected my worst travel scam to be in Iceland with our driver Nazir Malekzadah for Hyper Taxi.

Don't book anything with Hyper Taxi!! They try to get more money from you on the day of the ride. They sent me a text at 2am for a 7am pickup saying I booked the transfer from the cruise port to the international airport incorrectly and I needed to pay an additional 85 Euros. They recommended paying the driver directly instead of through Viator and it would only be 70 Euros extra and not 85 Euros. They are scammers trying to take advantage of tourists on their way to the airport. I reserved the transfer weeks in advance for my daughter and paid $120 for the private transfer to the international airport. My receipt and what I paid for was very clear. Nowhere did it say transfer to Reykjavik city center. My daughter had the receipt and all the info printed out and she refused to pay the extra money. The taxi driver argued with her and wasted 20 minutes trying to get her to pay more money. The driver ended up taking 2 other people from the cruise port to the airport. I don't know how much they charged them. So the transfer ended up not private and Hyper Taxi is still trying to get me to pay extra. Now they say I owe 50 Euros. My taxi from the cruise port to Reykjavik city center the same morning at the same time was $38. Not $120 like they were telling me I paid for the transfer to the city and not the international airport. I know there are 2 airports so I made sure it was clear which airport the transfer was going to. I would avoid this company unless you want to be pressured into paying more.

Hyper taxi was to pick us up at 6:30 from pier 315 in Reykjavik , we waited from 6:20 to 6:45 by my wrist watch , as most of the others waiting for us had been picked up by other serivices and as we had an international depature at 9:30 and as the free taxis were starting to leave we took one of the waiting taxis to the airport . Now Hyper probably did show up later but we felt we didn't dare wait for them and others may have had a good experience with Hyper , but we didn't, plus the driver that took us explained that Hyper has a reputation of being late, and that they are always to be 15 minutes early for pickup. Anyway I won't use Hyper ever again.

Excellent. Taxi was waiting as I exited the cruise terminal, had rang to be sure I knew where to go. 45 minutes to the airport. Would book again.

This company gets you to pay for one thing and then vendor tries to upsell you. Vendor threatens not to pick you up if you don’t pay the upscale. Ended up just getting a taxi after waiting in the rain for the driver not to show up. Not a reputable company. Very dishonest

Driver was on time and helped with the baggage. We arrived at the airport safely an on time. However, there is no quick way to contact the driver. Viator sent a confirmation. We also sent an email directly to the company to confirm the transfer and it took over 24 hours for them to respond. Also, if we had difficulties on the day, there is no way to contact the company or Viator quickly

No better way to get from cruise port to the international airport!! Do not have to wait for a bus or deal with other persons other than those with whom you are traveling.

The driver was very proactive in his communication with us prior to arriving at the port. He arrived for our pickup on time and was very helpful in assisting us with our luggage. Excellent experience in every respect.

While our driver, Abu, was excellent and personable, the taxi company (denoted as Hyper in my booking, but the card from the driver showed the company name as Hitch) was a real "Bait and Switch" operation. After booking with Viator and getting confirmation with specific pick up and drop off points for 100 euros, I got an email AFTER my card was charged 2 days prior to our pickup, that I would have to pay the driver an additional 65 euros! SHAME!

Driver was on time and helpful we did not have to wait as once we came out of the cruise he was already waiting for us which made the experience smooth sailing
