The Blue Lagoon was a unique and memorable experience. Surrounded by Iceland’s striking volcanic landscape, the warm geothermal waters offered a wonderful opportunity to relax and unwind. The setting was spectacular, the facilities were well maintained, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Definitely one of the highlights of our Iceland trip and well worth visiting.

The Blue Lagoon was formed in 1976 during operation at the nearby geothermal power plant. In the years that followed, people began to bathe in the unique water and apply the silica mud to their skin. Those with psoriasis noticed an incredible improvement in their condition. Over the years, Blue Lagoon has been innovative in harnessing this gift of nature to develop different spa services and products.
After having enjoyed all that the Blue Lagoon has to offer, you can choose your return time back to Reykjavik according to our timetable:

Return bus journey to Blue Lagoon. Easy to get to from main bus station amd drop off right outside the Blue Lagoon. Return journey back was whichever bus time you choose giving you the choice to stay as long as you wamted at the Lagoon. Perfect for us. Return coach was full so they arranged another to collect us which did come within 20 minutes. Cannot fault anything
Very easy transfers to and from the Blue Lagoon. The drivers are friendly and informative
We weren’t getting in the water. Just went to view the Lagoon and had to wait 2 hours for bus transfer back to city.
Olivia made our trip truly delightful! She drove us to Blue Lagoon provided outstanding service. Along the way, she shared fascinating information about the area, pointing out key landmarks and giving us a better understanding of Reykjavík and the surrounding region. Her friendly personality, knowledge, and enthusiasm made the drive enjoyable and memorable. Thank you, Olivia, for helping make the start of our Iceland adventure so special!
They promise the bus is going to be there, that they track the flights, but it was not. We had to wait for 2h or take a taxi to the blue lagoon. We paid isk11000 just to go to lagoon, and didn't get any reimbursement for the bis that did not wait for us. I thought people in Iceland were one of the most honest in the world, they're not!
The driver was extremely rude. We originally intended to get off at Stop No. 5, but when we arrived nearby, we changed our mind and informed him that we would instead get off at Stop No. 3, which was only two minutes away. He shouted at us, asking why we had not informed him earlier. We explained that we had simply changed our minds and that passengers should be allowed to do so without being treated disrespectfully.
Convenient schedule and the bus is punctual and comfortable. I am highly recommend to do the blue lagoon a day itinerary.
Did what it stated in advertisement
It was very nice, we traveled with Albert
We had a wonderful time, the trips were easy to book and their employee Xavier was amazing, went above and beyong with helping us, very professional, had a lot of patience and insight for us. Our tour guide Jön was very funny and full of positive energy as well as having a ton of information and interesting facts.
We joined this visit through a travel agent. The visit was excellent. The bus driver VERBALLY told us the return trip would be 6:30 and 8:30pm. There was no black and white information. After dinner at Lava restaurant, we came to pickup point at 8:20 pm. We waited at the cold and windy pickup point for 20 min. Then I phone to the tour supplier and she told me that the last bus had gone at 8:15 pm, and she advised me to take the taxi back to hotel. At last, I spent 25000 ISK to the taxi back to the city.
Had Ana amazing experience here, it was expensive however, well worth it for 3 hours. Staff are friendly, not too crowded once in there. If going in a group.wait for each other as when you first go in, the steam is every where and you can't find your party. We did basic package, no need for upgrade, and don't really need robe to go into the lagoon with.
Buses leave early or late. Never on time. The driver made us wait at bsi then yelled at me to wear a seatbelt. I had my seatbelt on. The last driver of the night parked outside the blue lagoon but wouldnt open the doors to let anyone on. Made everyone wait outside in the cold till the “scheduled time”. After keeping us outside in 20 degree weather, he opened the doors for two minutes. Let on who was waiting and pulled away 2 minutes earlier than pickup time. It took 2hrs to get dropped off from blue lagoon. You need to prepare yourself. Be early. The bus will not wait for you. You will have to wait on the bus. In total its about 2.5hrs to get to blue lagoon with all the waiting at bsi and 2hrs to get back with all the stops they make. It is a struggle. You will be internally screaming “get me off this bus!!!”
Excellent customer service! They helped me correct I problem with my booking which was entirely my fault, and fixed it straightaway for me with no issues. Very pleased and very impressed - would definitely recommend!
The bus driver was awesome! He went out of his way to help us get back to our hotel. I wish we’d asked for his name! He was a great driver too!
The driver gave useful informations on the way and was very helpful when I had questions. I sure come back one day.
We did several of these tours, blue lagoon, sky lagoon. Pickup by Hotel was easy, transfer was easy. The staff was friendly! Got us there on time and pick up eas a breeze
I had to transfer at the BSI terminal to my hotel. It was a bit unclear what I had tondo but the driver Briosh was very nice and extremely helpful. I would use this company again. The buses were on time too.
Thory the Icelandic driver thanks for the drive like a pilot thank you for the amazing day Reykjavik Excursion company Icelandia thank you
A great experience as always! Marek and his co-workers made our journey a fun and memorable one as I left a phone on the bus and after they made sure I got it back promptly. Thanks, guys!
my experiences were mixed and at times confusing as i am a tourist and a boomer i was sometimes stressed about my pick up from my apartment as one member of staff at reykjavik excursions suggested i make my way to a nearby hotel and it took me a while to find it but i decided not to go there and instead made my way to the bus on the far side of the city and then a bus to the terminal /another time i was to be collected from my apartment and was told that morning that i was not booked on the 9am pick up time but had to go on the 10am pick up time and as didnt suit me thats when i made my own way as mentioned above/the 2nd time i needed to go to the terminal i just got a taxi as i needed to be on the 1st coach that left the terminal at 3.30am and the earliest pick up was at 3am and as i needed to be there at 3.15am i then cancelled the pick up which there was no refund and got the taxi to the terminal as i needed to be in the airport as early as possible as my flight was at 6.15am and i also had to check in my suitcase an hour beforehand /also when i needed a taxi i was given a card with a phone number and when i rang it the voice spoke islandic and after listening to the message i hung up and when i mentioned this to the staff at reykjavik excursions she said in a crisp voice that i just needed to stay on the line and of course they speak islandic /what i would have appreciated was to be told when i was given the card for the taxi to be told that i would hear islandic and to stay on the line till i heard english /the coach to the blue lagoon /the hot springs and the airport were excellent just not the pick up
Easy and efficient transfer both there and back. Comfy seats, nice and warm, took about 45 mins. No complaints.
A fantastic experience especially as the weather was very entertaining. All very well organised and special call out to our driver Karol who managed the icy conditions beautifully and very smoothly. It was too wet to risk the phone so no photos unfortunately.
The bus to the station was prompt but very crowded and hectic and the driver took off abruptly and many of us had to grab onto something to stay in our seats. We then transferred to another bus which had a lovely driver and comfortable seats but we sat for about 20 minutes before leaving and the restroom was out of service. Otherwise went smoothly and on the way back we were dropped off right at our hotel and didnt have to transfer.
Lovely place, just takes a little while to get used to the egg smell. Staff all very pleasant and helpful which is lovely for a disabled traveler like myself. Sorted easy access changing room and any other help I needed no problem.
the tour company and Viator are apparently not on the same page. We waited 40 mins for our tour had to take a cab. The time on the booking does not match the ticket!!! It is basically a city bus that takes you to the blue lagoon and then you have to figure out which bus to take back. they don't drop you off when they picked you up even though the viator descriptions and initial booking says the tour picks up and drops off at the location you choose. Don't be fooled they only drop off in Reykjavik at a few locations, if that is not where you were picked up you will need to go through the bus terminal to catch another bus.
Absolutely an amazing experience, never to be missed if you have the opportunity. Terrific coach journey there and back like a guided tour, amazing scenery unlike anywhere else in the world. The Blue Lagoon in its self was amazing, imagine swimming/paddling in a gorgeous warm bath BUT with frosted hair, how funny is that.. can't fault anything at all about the Blue lagoon and its staff and facilities.
Return bus driver was a very bad driver and should not have been the one to drive in the type of weather that was happening. Also, contacted company to cancel another scheduled bus trip due to how bad this one was and am being told they won't do that even though it's due to their driver behavior.
Flawless. The pickup was on time, connection comfortable with free WiFi, and the returns open ended so we could take our time. In a wider sense they were extremely accommodating. We went on 5 tours over the week and they were brilliant. Buses always on time, tour guides friendly and knowledgeable, customer services understanding and friendly. There was 1 tour which was cancelled because of weather, we rebooked to another day but missed the pick up bus (100% our fault). They were so accommodating with us after this, trying to get us rebooked onto another tour butt unfortunately we weren't able. In the end we were refunded, which they absolutely didn't have to do. Brilliant company, will be using again
In general, was a nice and efficient ride. Apparently, they don't cover the Blue Lagoon - Keflavik Airport route anymore, so the staff took care of booking me with a different provider. That was very nice of her :)
They did not inform us when the bus from Blue Lagoon to the international airport was discontinued a few months prior to our trip. We were stranded at the Blue Lagoon and had to pay an extra $90 US for a taxi. The employees were clueless and not helpful. A disorganized company with poor customer service.
Great ride!! Very pleasant driver. We arrived on time and left on time. Great view of the volcano. I will recommend your company!
The tour was amazing. Even though it’s a long tour, the scenery on our way to the glacier lagoon & black diamond beach was brazen taking. Plenty of stops for food, water, & the restrooms. We had a great time. Albert was a wonderful guide, very informative.
We met the bus at the BSi bus terminal. We checked in and the staff directed us to the bus to the Blue Lagoon. Comfortable and clean bus. Make sure you are clear as to what times the returns from the Blue Lagoon are. They can vary. Look carefully for your return bus in the parking lot. Make sure you are waiting a bit early as the buses can fill up on the return. Overall I was very pleased with the service.
I booked a bus transfer from my hotel to the Blue Lagoon without entry to the lagoon. The route was from BLI Station, and the return was to the same bus station. The driver suggested dropping me off at a nearby hotel instead of the bus station, which I accepted assuming it would take a maximum of 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the driver drove me to an inconvenient point that took approximately 30 minutes to reach my hotel, provided that I'm just a tourist and not familiar with the area. I regret that I trusted him and I should not have accepted anything other than my original plan, which is BLI STATION. The driver should take into consideration that I'm a solo traveler and tourist who is not familiar with city, and at least explain roughly how long it takes to reach the hotel and provide good directions instead of giving me another headache to find my place at night. This is not acceptable from a good service provider company like yours.
First time in Iceland and our travel agency only booked Vlue lagoon without transport .it was scary at first not knowing how will we get there. My daughter suggested Viator which I did and it was an easy ride and easy to book online. Blue Lagoon ticked off our bucket list!!!! Will use it again and will.definitely recommend it. Thank you!!!! Floraida
We booked our transfers from the airport, golden circle, blue lagoon and northern lights with this company, we were picked up outside our hotel, the trips were always on time. We booked again for the northern lights as didn't see them the 1st time, mishca our guide was brilliant, really informative and helpful, we got some excellent pictures. Would definitely book again and recommend.
My daughter and I had a day booked for the blue lagoon for 9am on 19 th February 2024. We included bus stop 14 transfer from Reykjavík. The bus was due to leave at 8 am but did not come!!! We were there from 745am It did not arrive, we waited until 915 and contacted yourselves to be told the bus came at 730 am !! We were told we were sent an email the night before re this. We were not. We received an email on 19 th February when we called at 930 am not before. I paid £202 and we should have had 5 hours in the lagoon with two drinks and two masks. The next bus we could get on was 1130- this arrived at 1210 We did not get to the lagoon until 1320 through no fault of our own, we had 40 minutes !!! The bus to the airport was leaving at 1430 this is simply not acceptable. No one would help us with our complaint on site. I am disgusted with this and for the disappointment to my daughter how we can be reimbursed for the loss of experience for her special day and the money spent .
Got the bus from the bus station to the blue lagoon. Would’ve been helpful to know what time the busses were on the way back as had an hour wait.
Very good, bus was on time and very efficient! Blue lagoon was fantastic, we got the comfort package which had one free drink and the silica mask.
Couldn’t fault the transfer, left on time and was a comfortable ride. Would recommend booking this and then blue lagoon tickets separately (via blue lagoon website) as worked out £60 cheaper.
Magical place. Genuinely left looking and feeling ten years younger! Would recommend to anyone, including families.
I went to the blue lagoon on the last day of my stay and it was a perfect way to relax after long days on buses.
The drivers were efficient, helpful and timely . What we did not know was that you need to buy tickets ahead of time for a certain time slot to enter the Blue Lagoon . There were no tickets available when we arrived but after several attempts, they made an exception and let us in .
The bus trip wan't the problem, although we left late both on the way and returning. However, actually getting into the Blue Lagoon was hopeless. When we got to the front of our line after about 15 minutes a group of 20 people was let in ahead of us because they were a group (which as we came on an organised tour I thought we were). Then the person attending to the line disappeared. When we finally got someone's attention we only got a very cursory explanation of how the process of changing and entering the pool worked. I suppose the baths themselves were OK, albeit crowded, but we went to a lot better ones elsewhere in Iceland.
The bus was very clean and comfortable. Left bang on time from both Reykjavik and the Blue Lagoon. Staff try friendly and helpful.
Loved the whole experience and had beautiful weather to go with it... could have done with a more regular bus service.... two hour gap in the afternoon.
They do not clue you in to the fact that the meeting point is 45km away from airport and the bus cost $150EU on flybus to get to meeting point.
A Smart Bus was supposed to pick up me and my family at Bus Stop 8 in Reykjavik and it NEVER came!!!!!!!!! We waited OVER an hour for the bus to come! I tried getting a refund and the rep stated that the bus had in fact stopped which is a LIE!!!! Please please do not book this waste of money company. You will be stressed and be waiting for a long time. Save your money!
