First day was awesome, we got to see so much in Western Iceland and Snæfellsnes. Vidir, our tour guide, was very informative and fun. He kept us engaged and had great stories for everyone. 100% would recommend.

Day 1
1
This iconic narrow mountain has become the landmark of Snæfellsnes in recent years. It became famous after being presented as the “Arrowhead Mountain” on Game of Thrones. The erosive powers of the glaciers during the last ice age about 12,000 years ago gave this mountain its shape. Due to this unique look, it is one of the most photographed sights in Iceland and just across you will see the beautiful waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss which completes your perfect shot of the mountain.
This tiny fishing village has picturesque coastal cliffs which derived from glowing magma hitting the wild waves of the Atlantic. Known in Iceland as the most beautiful harbor of the country. Thousands of years later erosion has formed beautiful stone arcs and a remarkable marine geyser. Enjoy a walk along the coastline while your guide tells you all about Bárður, half-man half-troll, and his misdeeds in the area. Ytri-Tunga is a sandy beach that has a little secret hidden away down by the sea, behind the farmhouses… a seal colony! Seals love to spend their time on the rocks of this beautiful beach. They are friendly and curious and will climb up on the rocks for you to spot them from a distance.
A beach of black volcanic sand and stones where for centuries Icelandic fishermen rowed out to the fertile fishing grounds of the Atlantic ocean. Still today we find the so-called “lifting stones” which fishermen of yore used to test out their strength and prove themselves worthy of the physically straining life of Atlantic rowboat fishing. You can try to lift them yourself! In 1948 a British fishing trawler stranded on the sand reefs of Djúpalónssandur. Five men perished while 14 were rescued by local rescue squads. The remains of the ship are still there, strewn across the beach as an eerie reminder of the awesome power of nature.
Búðakirkja was built in 1703 and reconstructed in 1987 after a claim by a single member claimed to have it in its original state. It has a historical graveyard as well as a bell and chalice from the time the church was first built. The pure black black paint job and isolation of the church is the real attraction of the site.
The volcanic crater has now been made accessible by an iron staircase giving you the option of hiking it. It is estimated to have erupted around 3,000 years ago, much of the surrounding landscape is the result of that eruption. Hiking up the stairs is not too challenging and gives you a 360°view of the fields and Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Day 2
2
The Geysir geothermal area hosts hundreds of colorful hot springs and two geysers, erupting hot springs. One is called “Geysir” and name giving for all the geysers in the world. Today, however, it erupts very seldom. The other geyser is called “Strokkur” and erupts every 5 minutes up to 40 meters.
The melting water from Iceland´s second biggest glacier, Langjökull, falls into a deep canyon forming the majestic “Golden Falls”. On a sunny day, you can see the glacier Langjökull in the distance and enjoy a rainbow in the mist of the waterfall.
We visit the place where the two tectonic plates, the North American and the Eurasian plate, are moving away from each other. Few places in the world offer a better and clearer view of this massive geographic activity. The biggest natural lake in Iceland is also located at Thingvellir National Park and hosts a great variety of fish and bird life. Thingvellir is also an important place for Icelandic national history. At Thingvellir Icelanders founded their parliament in 930 a.d. where the chieftains had their annual meeting every summer. The name “Thingvellir” translates to “Parliament Plains”.
Day 3
3
The adventure begins when we pick you up in Reykjavík in a small and comfortable minibus before heading straight to the South. Our arrival is announced by the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you’ll be able to make the short hike behind the falls. The scene behind the fall and the trembling ground from the power of the falling water makes for an automatic Instagram blockbuster!
Further east along the coast is Skógafoss waterfall. Skógafoss is an incredibly picturesque sight. Tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60-meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge, a staircase can take you to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views. See if you can count your steps on your way up.
We will hike an outlet glacier spawning from one of the largest glaciers in the country, Vatnajökull. After meeting our highly trained glacier guides and strapping on our safety and glacier equipment, including helmets, harnesses, crampons and ice axes we hike on the ice for an hour and a half. A spectacular experience and opportunity to learn more about this breathtaking and increasingly rare natural phenomena. Skaftafell area has been used as a filming location for many famous TV shows and films, such as Game of Thrones, Interstellar, James Bond, and others… Follow the steps of your favorite characters into the glacier! The journey continues with the blue ice cave exploration. The exciting hike to reach the cave will take a few minutes – we recommend wearing waterproof hiking boots that cover your ankles and have hard sole. Iceland’s nature is dominated by glaciers and it is only possible to explore them with a certified guide and safety equipment. Your guide will share with you his expertise about the ice caves, allowing you to truly appreciate this amazing natural phenomenon – spoiler alert… it will be blue.
Day 4
4
Heading off day nr. 4 is Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a 200m deep glacial lagoon fed by Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe’s largest glacier. Enormous icebergs come from Breiðamerkurjökull all year round so the lagoon is usually filled with ice that floats south. Try walking alongside the glacier lagoon enjoying the magnificent views and dead silence of Icelandic nature. To add to the experience even more you will travel by super jeep to a blue ice cave from Jökulsárlón before heading back to the city
On the other side of the road the icebergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the ocean. The black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes, sparkling like diamonds.
Heading further east, we visit the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand. Rock pillars in the water and the cliffs of Dýrhólaey are seen in the distance.

My niece and I did the 4 Day Summer Minibus Tour: South Coast, Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes and Jokulsarlon tour with Tröll and absolutely loved our time. Our guide for the first 3 days was "Bran" Branimer - what a legend! He had us feeling welcomed and looked after from the very first moment. We saw and experienced so many incredible things and in just 3 days! Accommodation was great - so clean and well thought out. Breakfast had lots of options and all the places we stopped to get food either for lunch or dinner were perfect for us. For our last day out to Snaefellsnes we had the amazing Corina (Cora) as our guide and she again was amazing and we felt so looked after. So many amazing sights. We hired hiking shoes and that worked out perfectly for us. Thank you Tröll team for such an amazing time in Iceland ❤️
Thank you Alex and Karina for four amazing days around Iceland!🙌🏻 (4-Day Snæfellsnes & South Coast Minibus Tour - Summer)
4 day tour with Troll was good not great. It turned out to be 3 tours sewn together and they changed the order of the tours at their convenience without informing us. Not a big deal but communication could have been better. Two of our guides were great so big shout out to Bjorn and Elias! They took good care of us and were very informative. Overall well paced with good destinations. Thank you Troll!
Iskren is a very nice guide. He manages the time very well and introduces us to extra and amazing sites
My daughter and I had a fabulous trip with Rocky visiting waterfalls, glaciers and ice caves. Rocky was an excellent guide — funny, informative, and terrific taste in music. The weather was challenging at times but Rocky was a total pro and made sure we still had a good time.
Fantastic experience with the 4-day tour in south coast and peninsular. Special shout out to the driver/guide, Hafi, for all the Icelandic knowledge and jokes. He also helped us to spot northern lights and taking great photos for the group members
We had an amazing trip with Iskren and Sindri. Both were very knowledgeable and eager guides. Everything was taken care of and we were able to relax and enjoy the amazing places. This was a great tour to see many of Iceland’s highlights. It took all of the stress out of coordinating anything. Not only did I have an incredible experience but I also learned a lot from the tour guides.
Haffi is a 5 star babysitter. He has a nice beard and fun personality during the whole trip. Would go again.
Hafi is good guide for the few reasons: 1. He is humouros, energetic, easy-going, he is good at using jokes to warm up the atmosphere. 2. He is good at taking photoes of aurora with people. 3. He is a good planner, for example, when we are ahead of schedule, he squeezed in some more views or stops for us, like interacting with cute ponies.
Max was a wonderful guide who made sure everything ran smoothly and shared lots of anecdotes + back stories to the sites we visited, and went out of his way to show us places that were less known/ give us the best experience possible. Overall an amazing time and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Golden Circle and South Coast!
What a wonderful trip experience alongside with our DJ+Guide - Rocky Absolute chad with insightful information about all attractions
Very good experience. Rocky is a great guide and does his best to provide the best trip for everyone. Good company communication, very professional.
Our guide rocky had great suggestions, a sense of humor, and on point music for every single situation. Super fun and a once in a lifetime experience.
The tour is well packed and planned, with major must-go scenes in Iceland. Many of them are very stunning. Although Iceland is a country where the weather keeps changing and is not easy to predict, the tour guide Juliana tried her best to make the whole trip enjoyable. Really appreciate her friendliness and effort.
We family have lucky enough to meet our super tour guide Rocky from Troll.is 4 days tour in Iceland. I love his voice telling us story and his song playlist as a disc jockey lol, haha. Everything he arrange is perfect and not time wasted. I will definitely join Rocky's tour if we go to Iceland again in the future. Thank you Rocky taking care all of us.
Fantastic Trip, unforgettable sence in life. Guide Rocky show his great professional. Energetic and Full of Love. And credir is amazing rocky's music playlist thoughout the whole trip
Gylfi was our tour guide and we can honestly say this was one of the best vacation decisions we have made! The 4 Day Winter Minibus Tour: Blue Ice Cave, South Coast, Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes (mid-late October) was an amazing way to experience the Land of Fire and Ice for the first time and Gylfi was the best tour guide we could have asked for! Very well planned and organized, great blend and balance of experiences, and THE best scenery imaginable. Iceland really feels like it’s straight out of a dream. The size of the tour was also perfect - two of the days there were about 7 of us, and the other two days there were 13 - the perfect size to not have to wait for a big group. Gylfi was also great about giving plenty of information on the drives and before and after stops, but at each location we had free roam to just explore at our own pace (so you don’t feel like you’re on an elementary school field trip where you have to stay with the group every step). Gylfi was so friendly, energetic, patient, and helpful, and even made sure to help us see the northern lights one night. And when we had a little extra time one day, he made a couple extra stops so we could see a few extra sites, always willing to go above and beyond to help us have a great experience visiting his home country for the first time. The value of this tour is phenomenal, especially when factoring in the accommodations. The hotels we stayed in were very nice - even the isolated, remote country hotels (which are also great for Northern Light hunting during certain times of year). Thanks Troll and thanks for everything Gylfi! Until next time!
My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Iceland in October 2025. It was made all the more enjoyable by our 3 day guide Sigga. She was excellent and made each day fun. The information was flowing and the special anecdotes were an added bonus. Did get to see the Northern Lights, the wonderful waterfalls, icebergs and much more. All in all a very special holiday. Would highly recommend this tour group. Thank you Sigga for the memories.
We did this tour with Palle, and he was amazing, very knowledgeable and gave us enough time at each place , and proper rest stops..ot was pleasure doing the trip with him
This was a very fun and trip. Both of my guides Jon and Palli we extremely friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. I highly recommend this trip.
The tour was beyond our expectations. Bran - our guide was like icing on the cake. He made it more interesting. Our joy and gratitude was increasing at every next visiting point. He is a good hearted, humorous, joyful and very co-operative person. BIG THANKS to TROLL and BRAN !!
This was such a valuable “sampler” of the delights Iceland has to offer. I was picked up as expected and the tour guide for the first three days, Branimir, was such a good guide. He spoke about the history of iceland as well as the various geographical features. We did not have to worry about a single thing because he always thought ahead and handled it. For example, when a car crash closed a road, he immediately thought of three alternate activities to fill the time until the road reopened. When we needed to stop to use the restroom, he knew where to go along the route. We did everything the itinerary named and had some great learning, food, and camaraderie along the way. The inns where we stayed were good. This won’t be a 5-star portion of the trip, but it’s a place to rest your head for the night and have a good breakfast in the morning before heading off. After the third day, I had a different guide for the final day. Stefen was also great. He’s from iceland so has a lot of stories to share. This one-day tour on the peninsula is full of stops to take great photos.
Excellent way to see Iceland! Our guides were fun and knowledgeable, the experiences amazing, lodgings clean and comfortable. If this is your first time visiting Iceland, I would recommend this tour so you don't miss anything.
The tour was fantastic, and our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We saw waterfalls, Black Sand Beach, a Glacier, an ice cave, and, of course, the magnificent Northern Lights. Highly recommended. We were very happy to see so many beautiful sights. Overall, the small group tour is amazing. Thank you.
My husband and I, along with our adult son, booked this 4 day trip on a recent visit to Reykjavik in late February 2025. This 4 day tour is actually a 3 day South Coast trip + a 1 day Snaefellsnes trip. Make sure to read the bottom portion of this review for my recommendations and important things to note. We began day 1 with the 3 day portion. The day before our tour began, we received an email with the exact location for pickup. Our pickup was at bus stop 9, which appeared to be where every single tour in Iceland was beginning as well! It was kind of hectic, with every bus pulling up and the drivers all shouting names of passengers. Fortunately, within about 5 minutes our bus driver arrived and we were able to get out of the chaos. After that, everything went very smoothly. Our tour guide Rocky was absolutely AMAZING! I don't know if you can request a guide, but if so - ask for him and I promise this will be the best tour you do in Iceland! Not only did he entertain us with stories and educate us with history, but he also gave us great pointers on the best photo spots and made sure we arrived at stops at the perfect time (sunset on the beach, sunrise on a church cliff, etc...). And to top it off, he is an excellent Aurora hunter! Both nights he was vigilant about monitoring the weather and searching for the signs of the elusive Northern Lights. Pay attention to his music selection as well... I swear that every single song he plays over the 3 days relates to exactly what you are doing at that moment - very entertaining!!!! There were 16 of us on this trip, and we enjoyed getting to know some of the other travelers. I think this was the perfect number. On day 4 we began the one day trip to Snaefellsnes Peninsula. This day includes a LOT of time on the bus. Unfortunately, our tour guide for this day was not great. She was nice, but not the fun personality we had enjoyed with Rocky. There was a great stop at Djúpalónssandur beach and good whale watching at Arnarstapi, but really those were the only stops worth mentioning. The tour lasted about 11 hours and almost all of it was on the bus. I think the longest stop we had was for 45 minutes, but most were only hop on - hop off stops for photos. We had 21 people on this trip and it was too much. Important things to note: The Buses: Try to get in row 1 if possible! It feels less crowded and you're able to get on and off much more quickly. The buses seat 22 people. On our last day when we had 21, it felt way too cramped! The buses are very nice and clean though and every seat has a charger. If they aren't working - mention it to the driver as they have a button that turns them all on and off. Space is kinda limited. We each had a backpack and they didn't fit in the overhead storage so we had to hold them on our laps. One carry on suitcase per person is allowed in the back luggage are though. The Hotels: The hotel our first night was very basic. Like a bed and small bath, nothing else. No tv. Not a problem because hopefully you are out looking at the Northern Lights, but definitely a basic room. It was clean and the bed/pillows were comfortable though so no complaints. Only one hairdryer for the whole hotel, so you might want to bring your own if that's a necessity for you. The hotel the second night was awesome!!! That was my favorite hotel of our entire trip. The third night was back in Reykjavik at a hotel called Reykjavik Lights. It was clean and comfortable, but tight on space. All of the hotels provided breakfast. They were primarily yogurt, oats and cold deli meats/cheeses and bread. Recommendations: If you are traveling in a party of three, they give you the option of booking a double room + a single room or booking a triple room. We opted for the double + single and I am so thankful we did. All of the rooms are pretty tight on space and the bathrooms are very small. 3 adults + luggage would have been way too crowded! Also, because we had booked separate rooms, when we got to the hotel on night 2, they gave us a two bedroom apartment which was lovely. Do not expect gourmet cuisine on this trip! This tour is all about packing in as many adventures as possible in a short amount of time. While we did stop at a couple of restaurants, there were also many grocery store / gas station stops for sandwiches/snacks on the go and one diner was at a gas station diner (which actually had a great burger!). We are kind of foodies, so this part was a bit of a let down, but only because we weren't expecting it. In hind site, I'm really glad we didn't waste a ton of time at restaurants, but I do wish I would have packed more snacks. Wear lots of layers! You are getting on and off the bus a lot! One minute it's snowing while your walking on the beach, then its sleeting on your glacier hike and then it's sunny while you explore a waterfall. And that can all happen in like an hour! Don't worry though, nothing seemed to last more than a few minutes and then the sun would creep back out - just be prepared for everything! If I had to do this over again, I would have only booked the 3 day trip. The Snaefellsnes Peninsula just wasn't that great for a one day trip. It was way too much driving and in the winter the roads were more icy and everything was covered in snow. In the summer, this is probably amazing, but in the winter I'd skip it. And honestly, if I were doing it in the summer, I'd probably just rent a car and go explore it on my own. That might just be because I didn't think our tour guide for that day was great, maybe if you got a good one it would be better. Overall - this trip was awesome! I highly recommend the three day trip and this company was very easy to work with.
Amazing tour with an amazing guide. The weather was not at its best so our guide needed to make some adjustmebts but in the end we could see everything we wanted to see. 5 stars!
It was a great 4 day adventure. Our tourist guides Julianna and Augusto were amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, patient and very nice.
The tour is very well thought out and our guide John was super knowledgeable with geographical facts and info. He also made sure our timing was right so we could do the glacier hike without other crowds. Adam from the glacier hike is also a super insightful guide, he showed us a beautiful little crevice in the glacier which made the experience even more special.
The scenery and sights were amazing! The tour was very well organized considering daylight hours were limited from 11am to 3.30pm or so - many fantastic sites were included. Our tour guides were Rocky for the first 3 days and Corinna for the last day. They were very knowledgable guides and skilled drivers on the icy roads. Rocky's sense of humour and great playlist kept spirits up particularly when the rains hit on Day 2. Fully recommend this tour.
Great tour. The glacier hike at Sólheimajökull was super interesting and fun thanks to our Portuguese guide (I forgot his name). The Snaefellsnes Peninsula was gorgeous and our driver and guide Elias was the best.
If you're looking for something to do in iceland, this tour is seriously something else. Just book it. Shoutout Elias for being the best guide 🙌
Our 4-day trip guided by Troll Expeditions was outstanding mainly, of course, because of the phenomenal nature but also because of our guide for the first 3 days of the trip: Kuba. My wife, daughter, and I found him to be invaluable. He cared profoundly about safety. He focused intensely on all professional obligations (instruction, timing, dining, bathroom breaks--you name it). And he did so with a measured delivery that was a verbal approximation of Prozac. On a personal note, I must add that my wife, who fears ice, was guided expertly by Kuba; he made the most challenging part of the trip into a highlight. I hope this rave review reaches him, and that the company recognizes his importance. The ice cave--newly discovered!--was magnificent, as were most of the locations. We were less enthusiastic about the final all-day experience (with a different guide, who drove so dramatically that my 27-year-old daughter got carsick for the first time in her life). The beach with seals didn't have seals. The 400 steps to the crater ended at a forgettable landscape. But the cliffs at Hellna were indeed sensational, despite the wind that almost blew us into the ocean! I think the 3-day tour would have been enough. That said, we had an unforgettable experience! The vistas will stay with me forever.
This was an incredible trip and I did not want it to end. Gummi and Jon were great tour guides and couldn’t ask for more. We hit up all the stops weather permitting of course. Highly recommend Troll for your multiple day excursions. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to see the Highlands.
:) guide very informative, very helpful with pictures, able to adapt to weather and schedule to give a good tour would reccomend
I won't say much about the sights themselves - so much has been written about them and I doubt I'd add anything new. Instead, I want to commend our guide, Hinrik, who was an absolute star. He was friendly, helpful, and very entertaining. He was also hilarious, not just while commenting on the sights but also when playing songs depending on the context/situation. He made our tour way more entertaining than we thought it would be and we genuinely miss him. If possible, ask to be on his tour - I promise you will love it.
We had a great trip thanks to Troll! Awesome guides that knew every little detail on the country. The bus was really comfortable and the excursions beautiful. They even took us out at night to see the Northern Lights better. If you want to see Iceland book a trip with Troll!
Overall a great experience with this tour. Our guide Skúli would tell a lot of details and history of Iceland. Gave us also tips how to check about the northern lights. Tröll Bus seats were comfy and safe. Good fit for slim Asian tourists but for big Americans or Europeans they might be a little bit narrow. -1 Star because Tröll messed up our booking. We booked a 4 day trip but were put in a 3 day trip instead. No one would have noticed if we hadn’t complained on day 1. Our guide was happy to figure things out for us and get our schedule fixed so we don’t miss any of the planned spots. Also hotel and pickup were not clear for the changed itinerary until the last day.
enjoyed the tour, Elisa the guide was very professional and kept everyone entertained with a great playlist of mainly Icelandic music. lots packed into the trip. Had a different guide for the last day as the peninsula is a separate trip added in, David and Icelandic guide, had lots of interesting history and points of information.
Fantastic and convenient option for seeing all the sights without having to think of accommodation and transport. Iskren was a great tour guide he was knowledgeable, fun and made plenty of pit stops for additional sights, snacks and toilet breaks. Iskren was a great driver and patient tour guide. I felt very safe the whole trip. Iskren also stopped at a gas station when my phone charger broke on a Sunday night! I made memories of a life time - thanks to Iskren and Troll expeditions!
I went on a 5 day tour of Iceland (4/5 days were with Troll Expeditions) with my 2 close friends and my sister. This was the best trip I’ve ever been on! Our tour guide, John (Ionut), was absolutely amazing. He was funny, so incredibly knowledgeable and played the best music on the tour bus. He will also quiz you from time to time, but I have to say, he made it such an enjoyable experience that it’s very easy to remember all of the stops along the way. It’s such a great way to see all of the beauty and wonders of Iceland, I HIGHLY recommend. I hope to see Iceland during the summer time now and will definitely be using Troll in the future! Thanks again, John!! Your energy is infectious and made this trip so memorable!
We have a very nice three-day experience with the guidance of handsome Iskren. He planned our trip well, and present the most picturesque scenic sights for us. In addition, he is patient and responsible enough to take care all of us.
I did this 4 day expedition as a solo traveler. Due to notoriously rough winter driving conditions, I chose to do this tour to avoid driving myself. The sights were absolutely incredible and there was not a bad photograph to be taken the entire trip. The wind was too bad for our glacial hike on the day it was scheduled, so it was expertly rearranged so that we were still able to complete all planned activities within the time frame. I did many things I never would have thought to do. Two that stand out were the glacial hike and ice cave. I was treated to a wonderful display of the northern lights one night as well. Going in February was certainly cold, but it allowed for a such a beautiful display of the nation. We were incredibly lucky to have good weather for most of the trip. Our expert geographer guide, John, certainly did his part to make for a great experience. It was evident from the moment we met him that he had a sincere love for Iceland and a passion for showing off the country. Thanks to John for a great tour!
Shout out from HK. The 3-day trip is awesome!! Our guide, Hinrik, was the driving force behind this remarkable journey. His passion, humor, and attentiveness made every moment truly special. Hinrik's infectious enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge created an engaging and captivating experience. His jokes and lighthearted banter brought the group together, turning strangers into friends. With Hinrik as our guide, laughter and joy were constant companions. Every destination on the itinerary was expertly planned. Hinrik ensured we had ample time to explore and immerse ourselves in the beauty of Iceland. We are so grateful to witness the Northern light right outside our hotel on the second night. One memorable detail was Hinrik's carefully curated song playlist^^ These thoughtful touches added an extra layer of magic to an already extraordinary trip. Thank you, Hinrik, for making my once-in-a-lifetime Iceland journey an enchanting experience. þetta reddast!!
We had an amazing experience - really recommend the tour and our Guide (Hinrik Oskarsson) is the best!
The tour was amazing and well planned. The communication and pick up time for the 1st 2 days were perfect. The knowledge and politeness of our driver/guide Mr. Dagur was remarkable and made lots of difference with the whole group as we felt like a family. The hotels/guest houses for the 3 night were all memorable and remarkable. I can honestly say I faced no issues at all during the tour with the glacier and ice cave guides support and safety gears that helped making the experiance to the limits and more. Thanks to @trollexpeditions for the plan and exceptional trips made.
Everything really! Iceland is beautiful all around including its people. The down-to-earth people are super pleasant. The scenery is breathtaking. Every where we were taken was absolutely amazing!
I was with Corina for the Snaefellsnes tour And Jon for the 3-Day tour. The tour was very organized and hassle free. Corina and Jon are very informative and made also extra stops to show us some unusual tour stops. They have the enthusiasm for what they do and I think that's one of the things that the tourguides must have. Iceland is so beautiful, and with these people to show and tell the other things we cannot know simply by looking, it made the trip more memorable. The hotels were I stayed are also good, especially Hotel Katla, I loved my window view.
Appalling customer service. The company failed to notify us that they had cancelled the 4 day tour, leaving us waiting in sub-zero temperatures to no avail. After 1.5 hours waiting at the bus stop, we finally called them to enquire about the bus arrival. Only then did they bother to inform us that they had cancelled the tour. No previous warning, no advice the night before. Surely my worst experience with a travel company. I do NOT recommend using this operator.
I usually visit on my own and seldom join any tours. However, we decided to join the local tour this time in Iceland as we planned everything in less than 5 weeks. In order to save all the hassle, we joined the Troll Tour and it ended up to be a wonderful experience. We visited a lot of places. Numerous waterfalls, ice cave adventure, glacier walk, Black Sand Beach, and Diamond Beach... (to name a few). My special thank you to Gundi, an experienced, professional and passionate tour guide. He filled the tour with fun and laughter. Thank you so much for chasing the Northern Light with us for two consecutive nights. You made my dream comes true. I do recommend all of you to travel with Troll tour (especially in the winter time as I don't feel comfortable driving in the snow).
