I booked this tour because my husband would enjoy it but I ended up enjoying it as well! We had the double rider ATV and my husband drove the whole time, which is what I wanted! 😂 We were the only ones that day who did the 2.5 hour tour. Everyone else was doing the one hour. So we basically ended up having a private tour! Our guide, Mario was awesome! We’re glad we did this tour!
We did this in October so expect cold conditions and erratic weather. It was very fun for us as explorers who have four-wheeled before in dryer conditions. This was our first time somewhere really wet. However; you’re given gear to wear over your coat and clothes. The gear will take the brunt of the conditions if you go through a puddle or get rained on; but this not the tour for people who don’t want rough road and splashing.

We did the Twin Peak quad bike ride with Safari, and the whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team were excellent — everything was so well arranged that we felt comfortable and happy right from the outset. The briefing was clear, the equipment was top‑quality, and we all felt completely safe in their hands. The scenery was breathtaking, and riding through it on the quads was such a brilliant way to take it all in. Beautiful views, great pace, and wonderful company throughout. Although the entire team were fantastic, we have to give a special shout‑out to Veronica — an absolutely lovely person and a brilliant leader for the ride. She made the experience even better with her warmth and professionalism. From all of us… thank you so much. I enjoyed this experience so much that I ended up doing it twice. Could not recommend it more.
What an experience! The whole ride was incredible! The staff at the facilities, two girls from Poland with a warm and fun to deal attitude, and our guide from Czechia always prioritizing our security but letting us enjoy the adrenaline rush that comes with the adventure, even using our cameras or even iPhones recording each and everyone of us at particular tracks, pausing to let enjoy the landscapes, showing us how nature has reclaimed the volcanic terrain - even showing us some kind of edible berries, sight seeing Reykjavic from afar, and at the end giving an award - a tshirt - to my girlfriend for the best driver (I had paid for the tshirt in advance), made the best time we have had so far in Iceland. Kudos guys! You are the best!
This was my second time using Safari Quads(did the midnight sun ride 4 years ago) and they did not disappoint. Guide was helpful, but did not treat us like beginners. My husband loved that. Got to do a lot, see a lot. They were awesome fun to work with.
Mario was an excellent guide, the drive was scenic, and the Outlander ATVs are outstanding machines! We had a great trip!!!
Great experience getting out of the city and into the woods! The views were great and our tour guide made it an enjoyable trip with patiently leading us through some of the more tougher terrain.
From start to finish this was a great experience! Getting set up with our waterproof gear and bikes was a very smooth process and we watched a helpful safety video. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was my first time on an ATV and I was a little nervous, especially on some of the hills, but I never felt pressured to go faster and the guide definitely adjusted to our group's speed/skill. We got to see some beautiful landscapes and drive over a variety of terrains.

If you are deciding what to do, look no further. This tour is a great way to spend 3 hours. Since the pickup everything Mario was friendly and made the ride interesting talking about the Reykjavik. Once we got to the site, facilities, equipment and staff were all A+. Personally, I rode the ATV solo, and highly recommend to choose this. Being behind the wheel of the ATV and going into the vast landscape of Iceland comes with a freeing feeling. You are not just looking at the breathtaking views but in some way, your are part of them, maneuvering around its roads, hills, creeks and let yourself be absorbed by the beauty that surrounds you. This takes sightseeing to a whole new level. You are not just a spectator you’re actively participating and choosing the adventure on hand. Go and Explore!! Highly Recommended. DO IT!!

I thought I had booked 2 ATV's but ended up sharing. Was told that the website was confusing hence why I ended up booking incorrectly. As a result, the cost was higher than I would have paid and I was a bit disappointed unfortunately. The day itself was fairly good though.

The ATV tour was so much fun and unlike any other tour I’ve done in Iceland! The gear you’re given keeps you warm and dry in even rainy/cold conditions. It was raining for half of our tour but made the experience a blast. Hanna was our guide and she was fantastic. So enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Also helped take some great pictures! 10/10 recommend if you are looking for an adventurous experience around Reykjavik.

Beautiful! The route had so many amazing views of Iceland’s landscape. The overalls and gloves provided kept us very warm. Check the face shield on your helmet to make sure it isn’t scratched too much. Highly recommend this tour!
I have done ATV rides in several countries and continents and I can say hands down this was the best. Our guide Patrick was one of the best. The ride is fun, long, you cover a ton of ground (not just repeated circles), and you are completely in the open wild. The pickup at the BSI bus station was flawless. Bathrooms were extremely clean. They provide you with all the gear you need. I absolutely 100% would recommend this as a solo traveler, group, or as a couple. If I come back I will book another trip with this company.
Talk about NERVES! I enjoyed this more than expected. Most women rode with their spouses but I wanted my own experience and GOT it! After telling our guide I had never done anything like this, he said stay close to me so I went first and got a great education and experience to boot. Thank you!
An amazing experience on the ATVs in a small group. Exciting terrain, fantastic views and an excellent guide in Mario. Highly recommend this. Our family of 5 had an enjoyable time. There was a safety video and then we were assisted with our full waterproof jump suit, gloves, headgear and helmet. The collection was very smooth as was the drop off at the end of the day.
We had a bright sunny day, so the views were phenomenal. Ser Klaz was knowledgeable in most things, very comedic as well. Even had one of the native Sheep walk up to us and he fed it. Will book again whenever I'm back in Ísland.
This tour was fun. I would recommend getting your own ATV. It’s very bumpy and was a challenge sitting on the back as a passenger. Although great views and Daria our tour guide was amazing, get your own ATV you won’t regret it.
I want to be honest..the tour company provided a nice service but we basically drove along some hydro cuts looked at a lava field and then over the city and drove back. Maybe I had a diff idea of what we’d be doing and that’s on me I suppose. Iceland is pretty barren and rugged so, off-roading there and North America quite different…anyway…that’s that 🤷🏻
Great experience! A must do! This is a great way to see landscape views not accessible by vehicle. Easy for first-time riders. Safari.is does a great job preparing the riders with the necessary equipment and a safety video to become familiar with the rules and how to operate the ATV. If we come back we will definitely do this again.

This was by far the best operation we’ve been with. Their office/ warehouse was spotless, the bathrooms immaculately clean, as was the clothing, balaclavas etc. the tour itself was great - fantastic scenery, great equipment. And well guided. Hannah was our guide, and was amazing!!

Daria & Mario were fantastic guides. From the pick up point, to the adventure ride and then drop off these guides were professional and fun. While you can only go so fast, I sure did give these guides a run for their money and a few extra heart palpitations. I would highly recommend riding with them.
We had an awesome afternoon with SirCactus from Safari Quads on the twin peaks tour. From booking (thanks to Bryndis for taking care of our requests) to execution just a marvelous experience. If you are looking for a great adventure ... this is the place to be! But not only ATV tours, the other activities we had organized by them went seamlessly as well. This was so much fun. The young girl who took our group out was so patient and friendly. This was not "a Sunday drive," it was an exciting ride that was never boring.
We got two minutes of orientation to the vehicles before our guide took off at a pretty fast speed. We were encouraged to go at a speed that was comfortable but if you didn’t go fast enough you lost the group. Our guide seemed to be on his own journey with our group just tagging along. We learned about how fast our guide has ridden, his comped trip to the Blue Lagoon, and how much he likes ice hockey. He had a mic, but never gave any local information while we were riding. It was also hard to hear because of the helmets. This wasn’t a tour, just keeping up on a joy ride with “sir —-“, as he liked to be called.
Our atv trail guides were fantastic. We got some amazing views of the city and they were flexible about storing luggage so we could make our flight. We are ready to go again!
I booked a last minute tour since I was unexpectedly solo in Reykjavík and this looked like I could see a lot of the area and the natural beauty of Iceland in a cool way. It was a small group and our guide Pedro made it a great experience!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Quad trip! My adult daughter and I loved the mud holes along the way. A few times our helmets clashed, and we would laugh and laugh. the scenery was beautiful and our sometimes bumpy ride is just what we wanted. Our tour guide was so helpful and joyful. She helped everyone that asked her for help adjusting their helmet or coveralls. She had info about the area and made the trip so pleasant. One of our Iceland highlights.
Probably the best run excursion I have ever done We’ll run and good running machines. Plan to do a winter trip with them again
Absolutely amazing! Patrick was the best tour guide and the scenery could not be beat! Yes it’s money but they pick you up, give you all the gear, get you safely to amazing places, and while some excursions feel like they’re cut short, this one did not… it’s the perfect amount of time and they let us go with our comfort zones (which included going everywhere as fast as they would let us:)
It is amazing! Best excursion in Iceland! Patrick was the best tour guide and the trails and view are out of this world. They provide ALL the gear (just wear shoes that can get wet/dirty) and pictures can’t do it justice (but definitely charge your camera/phone anyway). We had ridden before and yet still no dull or slow moments; newbies in the group did just fine too! Coffee is provided but no food, so grab a snack in town before pickup and use the bathroom in their shop before you hit the trail. Take the tour… just do it and you won’t be sorry! Unanimous in our family, that this was the highlight of our trip!

Our tour guide was superb, she was attentive, she made feel comfortable, informative and she made us laugh, great sense of humour; as you know we are Canadian and we love to laugh, life to us, is short so we make the most of each day! 10/10 ⭐️
Not worth it. The staff seemed low-energy and disengaged, and the ride itself was not particularly scenic. We made only two extremely quick stops for photos, so there was very little opportunity to actually enjoy the surroundings. I also had a strange and frustrating interaction with one of the guides. At the beginning of the tour, she specifically instructed us to leave enough distance between ATVs so that if the person in front stopped suddenly, we would have enough time to react and not rear-end them. I followed that instruction, but then was criticized for doing exactly that. She told me I looked uncomfortable driving and asked if I wanted to ride as a passenger. I said no and asked what I was doing wrong, but she didn’t actually give me an answer or explain what she wanted me to do differently. The group then took off with almost no distance between the ATVs, which seemed to directly contradict the safety instructions we had just been given. I was then paired with another guide who had very little energy and seemed like he was simply going through the motions. My biggest concern was safety. If one ATV had stopped suddenly for any reason while everyone was riding so closely together, there seemed to be a real risk of multiple ATVs rear-ending one another. If you’re looking for a scenic ATV experience with time to take in Iceland’s landscape, I would not recommend this tour. If your main priority is simply going fast over rocks, you may enjoy it more, but I personally didn’t think the experience was worth it.
