What a lovely trip. Our guide, Vlad, was great and very knowledgeable. Hotel was good. Lots to see and I learned lots too. I particularly enjoyed the beach with the basking seals. Got some great photos; didn't need a zoom!

Itinerary
Day 1
1
Get picked up between 8:30 and 9 by your guide and let the day begin!
Before reaching the first stop enjoy the scenic drive along the Whale Fjord
After a scenic drive bus stops for short break in the town of Borgarnes laying on the small peninsula.
Within a short drive from Borgarnes the true magic of Snæfellsnes Peninsula begins. Yti-tunga is a charming farm with nearby beach housing seal colony. Perfect place for animal lovers!
Búðakirkjan Black Church is by many considered the most beautiful church in Iceland.
A natural harbor surrounded by stunning landscapes. Beautiful rock formations decorate the coastline, spotted with green-and-yellow moss. Here one can stroll along the cliffs and take a perfect picture or simply enjoy the atmosphere of remote fishing village.
This is the place where two basalt columns mark the coast, so they can be even seen from the road. This is also another perfect stop for animal lovers - cliffs are famous of being house to many species of birds and air is filled with their sounds
Gorgeous black beach located within boarders of Snæfellsjökull National Park. While walking along the black sand beach one can find a curiosity on the beach: four large lifting stones used to measure the strength of fishermen you used to live in the area
In order to reach the northern part of the peninsula tour will take you on the ride around Snæfellsjökull Strato-Volcano, one of the most powerful ones in Iceland (luckily not active these days) covered by the glacier cap
Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) accompanied by Kirkjufoss (Church Waterfall) is one the most known and picture-perfect location in Iceland. It got a lot of international attention after being featured in many Hollywood and TV productions - like in Games of Throne just to start with.
Day 1 ends in Borgarnes - capital of West Iceland located on the small peninsula in the City Fjord - famous for its Saga Exhibition and stunning views over mountains rising above the sea. During Northern Lights season it is perfect place to enjoy this natural phenomenon.
Day 2
2
Next you will see the great Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 m (almost 300 ft!) across the Hallmundarhraun lava field, which flow from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá River from ledges created by less porous rock in the lava.
Literally a stone’s throw upstream from Hraunfossar, you will visit another waterfall called Barnafoss. Its name, “the waterfall of the children,” comes from an accident which is said to have taken place here in a previous century. There was a natural stone bridge over the waterfall, and two children from a nearby farm fell to their deaths crossing the river on the bridge. Afterwards, the grief-stricken mother had the bridge destroyed.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to a colorful Viðgelmir Lava Cave. Just shy of 1600 meters the cave features amazing colors and lava formations that lurk in the depths of the earth. During this 1,5 hour long expedition you will have a change to see one of the largest lava caves in Iceland with its stunning lava stalactites and stalagmites.
Finally, take in the sights at Deildartunguhver, the highest-flow hot spring in Europe.
Enjoy an unforgettable visit to the Sturlureykir Icelandic horse farm. You can get as close as you want to these beautiful friendly animals and then enjoy some home made "hot spring bread" called rugbraud in Icelandic with a nice cup of coffee or ice cool water.

It was great trip with Philip. He was wonderful and have us enough time to explore. He wasn't rude at all and was always kind and gentle.
Bartos was great! Very informative, excellent guide! Give him a raise! Very knowledgeable
Our guide was a really nice and funny guy and gave us a lot of good tips - especially about food, since he’s an ex chef. He also told us about icelandic legends and really interesting general curiosities. THANKS BART!!
Our guide/driver from Nice Travel, CD, was knowledge, funny, and considerate. The large van was comfy and had wifi. Plenty of "comfort" stops. Impressive beauty throughout the Peninsula and iso many nteresting stops on the 2-day adventure. Hotel was perfect, in a lovely little town with plenty of dinner options.
We did total 5 days tour of Icelands golden circle for 3 days and silver circle for 2 days. The first 3 days of golden circle was an amazing experience. Geysers, waterfalls, tectonic plates, glaciers, diamond beach etc. was throughly enjoyed. Our guide and driver Monica was amazing and made our experience even more memorable. The Silver circle side for 2 days too was a great experience. Completely different beautiful landscape. However, there a lot of room for improvement with the two different guides we had. Sami and David both Majorly lacked giving proper information and instructions about lunch and bathroom breaks. Certainly did not care for the rude and disrespectful attitude. The audibility in the back of the bus was not great.
I missed placed a medical device during the tour. Nice travel was very helpful in getting the unit back to me. Very professional operation
Super fun! Filip was great, knowledgeable, and a delightful tour guide.
Fantastic sightseeing with David! Breathtaking sights. Some of the most “Instagram-worthy” pictures we got from our trip. David was wonderful - informative, funny, and just an enjoyable person to be around. (Yes, David, we know - “seatbelts on, same song, different time, and all the time”, or something like that!) Highly recommend all of it - the sights, the guide, the tour! Everything!
看好看滿 Grull 大哥直爽!冰式幽默帶你走跳,一人開車一人導覽一人管家 很敬佩!! 車上音樂好聽還有TypeA充電頭、WIFI~方便
Easy to book and good communication. Snaefellsness was every bit as amazing as i hoped and our guide Monika was happy, friendly, knowledgeable and had a great playlist. Hotel Vesturinn in Borgarnes was comfortable and good breakfast. Silver Circle tour with Thore (sorry if i’m spelling it wrong) was delightful, especially meeting the Icelandic horses. Thore was funny and so kind to me when i had a little panic attack about the lava cave! Highly recommend Nicetravel.
Very windy during the time/dates traveled. WiFi in the van throughout the trip is excellent. Experience is dependent on the guides.
My partner and I went on this two day tour exploring the beautiful west coast. The scenery is breathtaking. We saw many sites, took some cool photos and the accommodation was lovely. Best of all was the tour guide, Thoray, who is very professional, engaging and had lots of knowledge and interesting and funny stories. I highly recommend this tour!
Small group two day tour. Variety of activities, from black beach, waterfalls, lava cave, horse farm. Incredible, stunning scenery. Our guide Thormodur has deep family roots in the area and related moving, personal stories that made the experience come alive. Highly recommend.
Loved my trip with Nice Travel. I was given details of the pick-up and everything went smoothly. The coach was in great condition, comfortable and the Wi-Fi and USB charging available on board was really useful. The tour was well planned and the pace suited everyone. Thoray was a great guide - she had loads of useful information and brought lots of energy to keep us all entertained. I stayed 1 night in a hotel booked by Nicetravel. This was very comfortable, had everything I needed including a lovely breakfast. I can’t recommend Nicetravel enough, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip.
There’s a reason this tour company is called “Nice Travel”. They are extremely professional, caring, and all of their tour guides are top notch. I’ve taken several tours with him over the years and it’s always been top notch. If things go wrong - weather or whatever - they make sure you still have an amazing experience. They truly care about the customer. You will not be disappointed!
Had a great time with Walter. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Pace was very relaxed and the bus was comfortable.
Our 2-day tour of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula was absolutely amazing, and having Walter as our guide made it even more special! From the moment we set off, it was clear that we were in for an unforgettable adventure. Walter’s deep knowledge of Iceland’s history, geology, and folklore brought every stop to life. He shared fascinating stories and fun facts that made the stunning landscapes even more meaningful. Walter always made sure we had plenty of time to take in the views, snap photos, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of nature. Walter was also incredibly friendly, patient, and engaging. He made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and included, adding a personal touch to the experience. His expert driving and careful planning ensured a smooth and enjoyable trip from start to finish.
Our two day tour of the west coast was amazing! Monika was one of the best tour guides I’ve had in any county. She is funny, energetic, and so knowledgeable. She shared so much information with us on the ride and had a banging playlist. She was so personable and made the tour that much better. She showed us some extra spots along the way and shared her love of Iceland with the group. Monika!!!!
Excellent trip. Super organized by Nice travel agency. Our guide Maria was amazing. Always telling us interesting facts and stories about Iceland. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Excellent trip! Bartosch was a great guide! Although the weather was very snowy from time to time, it was still absolutely beautiful.
I did multiple day trips and my trip was excellent. We did the west coast and silver circle Tour with Filip and it was really great. Our guide was friendly, humorous and very knowledgeable. Overall, it was a very great experience. On a side note, crampons are provided complimentary on multi day trips.
We used Nice Travel a few times for our honeymoon in Iceland and had amazing experiences! Kristof, Maria, and Thori were all extremely competent, knew how to read and manage people, and were so NICE! Kristof was thoughtful and accommodating to everyone, and he kept us all laughing the entire time. Maria was awesome, and she can adapt to challenges with ease in her happy, friendly nature. Thori was quirky, patient, and added some extra charm to make everyones experience truly authentic. We had zero complaints about any of them, and they are all rockstar guides.
This was the second part of our 4-day itinerary. Our guide/driver Þore (hope I spelled her name correctly) is a native Icelander from a small village in the east of the country. Her (often humorous) anecdotes and explanations gave us great insights into Iceland’s history and culture. The final day visiting the Snæfellsnes Peninsula was like a tour of Iceland in miniature. How can a small country have so much amazing scenery? We’ll be back!
Guide was knowledgeable and funny Tell us many stories about history and nature Cave was superB Everything on time PRO very long trip by time
First day we were with Gooli. Saw the major sights on the Snaefellness Peninsula. Felt like we had adequate time at each stop. We even got to see an artic fox and her cub at a rest stop area. So many seals on our last stop. We were dropped of at Vesterlund hotel for the night which was very comfortable. 2nd day we were picked up by new guide, Dominique. Lots of energy! This day was Silver Circle and there were some stops I could have passed on. Always like a waterfall! The power company stop could have been passed and the Snoori historical stop was just boring. Great lunch stop this day at a waterfall. The highlight of the day was the lava tube cave.
I left medication case on the bus and I was very worried... But they helped me retrieving the med case, which might involve a one hour drive. Big thanks! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful showed him home. Made from scratch.
My mom and I had a great time seeing the West coast - such beautiful nature! NiceTravel is a great company to go with, and our guide Oli was very nice and helpful and shared a lot of knowledge with us about Iceland. I really appreciated that the wifi on NiceTravel buses was very good.
Had some issue with booking and was put in a different group from my friend. The guides did their best to make sure we travel together.
The tour guides were great. Got to see a lot of Iceland and very good value for money. The bus has limited leg room for tall adults but generally very comfortable.
What can I say, this is my second visit to iceland and it has once again blown me away with its beauty. I took this small group tour over 2 days to explore some more of iceland. We had a tour guide named 'jake' (his real name was long and hard to remember so this was what he told us) He was a great guide, very clear and informative about everything, he adapted to change when toilets were unexpectedly closed due to Easter, making sure we still had toilet stops. He also included some extra stops which was super appreciated as we were lucky enough to have a good group who were always back on time, giving us some spare time at the end, it was great that jake utilised this time to help us see some more places. Nice travel tours are really well organised, have some really great stop offs to must see locations, the small bus they use is comfortable and with single seats for solo travellers (myself) which was great, WiFi and USB charging also available. They also have great communication via email for any queries with speedy response. Very happy to recommend this company to anyone looking for a fab tour in iceland! I am 100% sure this will not be my last tour with them! Thankyou Nice travel for the amazing tour and experiences and memories that will last forever x
Such a great trip! So many things to experience and great guides. We got lucky and caught the northern lights overnight at Borgarnes.
We really enjoyed this tour and the sights the west coast had to offer! David was a fantastic tour guide and we really enjoyed his enthusiasm, in addition to his interesting stories. Would highly recommend!
The scenery was amazing on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The lava tube trek was an epic once in a lifetime experience. Spending the night in a small coastal town really wasn’t necessary, as it’s only an hour from Reykjavík. Two one day excursions would have made more sense to me.
This tour was absolutely perfect! Incredibly beautiful nature paired with our super nice and friendly guide Christina results in a stunning experience! Christina showed us her favorite spots, told us everything we wanted to know and even helped us planning our following trips. The tour was a mixture of popular "photo stops" and more unknown places, which was simply unbelievable all together. We were lucky that we had a sunny weather throughout the two days and that we were only a very small group. NiceTravel really tried their best to make our 2-day trip perfect. And it really was!
Our guide Eddie made this two day trip a memorable experience with his knowledge of geology and good sense of humor. We had some intense winds and snow drifts to deal with, which Eddie drove through expertly. We did not stick to the original itinerary due to the weather, but stopped at alternate locations that were also lovely. Day 2 was my favorite as we explored The Cave (lava tunnel) and finished the tour by relaxing at Krauma's hot pools, in addition to seeing some more of the landscape. Nicetravel was easy to communicate with and I would recommend them for tours.
The so called 2 days tour is actually a combination of 2 day tours which was not make known to us prior to the booking. On the first day, the guide/ driver who picked us up as not sure which guest is for daily or overnight tour, we were drove to Borganes hotel to pick up some more guests and followed by a toilet stop, the actual tour does not commence until close to 11am. The guide of the day suggested us to but some food and skip lunch in order to visit so called his favourite sight which is in the itinerary and its turned to be a 20 minutes bumpy road to a lighthouse whereas the majority of the guests only spent less than 10 minutes which speaks about how attractive the "favourite" sight was. Upon finishing the day 1 tour , we only realised we were the only one who were on the 2 days tour, the driver drove us to hotel the same Hotel Borganes thinking we will be staying there but a poor communication between the tour company and the "freelance " guide caused us to wait for 20 to 30 minutes to make phone calls to sorted out our accommodation. We are suppose to stay at a nearby guesthouse with wonderful seaview as informed never mind its a shared bathroom. After a few calls by the driver we ended staying at these unappealing tourist hotel. Despite its an upgrade, but its certainly not a pleasant stay. Better communication and arrangement required. Due to the fact of a combi tour, we have to wait till 10am for our day 2 tour to begin as the same scenario occurs , pickup from Reykjavik and drive to Borganes followed by another 20 minutes break. But the day 2 tour were more enjoyable and relaxing plus a pleasant Guide. I took up this 2 days tour thinking of it will save time my time traveling from Reykjavik if on day tour and can begin our 2nd day tour early but it turned up to be the same like a day tour. Should have highlight these as a combi tour in the website and a better communication between the guide are needed to avoid the unnecessary inconvenience that we had experienced.
We were picked up the first day of our 2 day tour by Thor. We had a great day with him on the Snaefellsnes Penninsula - his home region. He was extremely smart and well informed and full of fun and interesting stories. First stop was Kirjufell, followed by a delicious lunch in Olafsvik. Then we continued our way around the penninsula and stopped in several other spots, one more beautiful then the next! Our first night was spent at a small town (not on Snaefellsnes) called Borgarnes. On Day 2 we were picked up by a new tour guide and our day was filled with caves, waterfalls, and lava fields. Overall it was a full and wonderful 2 days!
NiceTravel really puts together some great tours which makes it easy for you to just enjoy all the great views. Our guide Andre was very good and knowledgeable. The sites were absolutely breathtaking and highly recommended for all to see, even in the middle of winter. Granted, we had great blue skies and not the infamous winds that Iceland can get in the winter. Sun rises and sunsets were great against the mountains in Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Our van was comfortable and was equipped with WiFi. The variety of sites: the shoreline basalt cliffs/formations, the volcanoes, the caves, the waterfalls, the horses, spas and even the shark experience were great. This was a once in a lifetime trip.
Our guide Harpa osk sigurdottir was knowledgeable and an awesome driver. She make decisions according to the weather which allowed us to avoid the snow storm and see everything on the itinerary. Lots of wonderful sights and breathtaking pictures. One of the highlights was an impromptu trip to the Sturlureykir horse farm where we met the friendliest host who bakes an amazing bread with her private hot springs and has the most docile and friendly horses I have ever met. Kudos to Harpa for the lovely recommendation and to Hrafnhildirgu@Sturlurekir horse farm for the hospitality. I would recommend this trip anyone who is coming to Iceland.
It was quite an adventure on this tour mainly because of the weather. Thor was a skilled driver and humorous guy, it's interesting to learn about his family having come from the peninsula, so definitely should ask him more about it. I believe we skipped some attractions because of the bad weather and limited daylight, but everything else was great and the lava cave was the highlight. Grateful that they let us see the drying shark meat that you can only see in the winter. Otherwise would recommend going on this tour in the summer to maximize the itinerary.
Unfortunately, several elements of this trip were impossible due to awful weather and road closures. However, David was not only an excellent and reassuring driver in extremely difficult circumstances, he did his best to keep the group informed and even found an accessible waterfall that wasn't on the itinerary. David's knowledge of the area was really helpful and enabled him to excel as a confident tour guide too. Importantly, he retained a positive attitude and sense of humour throughout. Overall, I'd highly recommend this trip with Nicetravel. The nearly new minibus was very comfortable, and the 2 days would have made for a good balance of travel and sight seeing had we been able to reach the west and south of the peninsular. On a very negative note, shark meat is utterly disgusting so taste it with caution! Thanks to everyone involved.

We are a small group of 7. Our guider, Ros is a very nice and patience person who has given his insight knowledge on Iceland. We have had really experienced the true beauty of Iceland. Thank you Ros and Nicetravel?

The tour was really fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The Snaefellsnes peninsula was gorgeous, everything was picturesque and steeped in history. We especially enjoyed the journey into the Lava tube based on the Jules Verne story. We also got to try Fermented Shark really stinky but not that bad to taste! Definitely recommended

I did a number of guided tours in Iceland using different companies and this tour from Nicetravel was by far the best and most enjoyable. David (driver) and Lucia (guide) were great and they made every effort to get to know and help the tour group. Everything was well planned and organised and there was plenty of time to enjoy each location we visited. Thoroughly recommended.

Michael was a great guide, safe driving and very knowledgeable. Great mix of stunning sights and good activities.

That was great. The guides are the best. The weather was good and we were able to turn around efficiently
On December 28 and 29, I did this tour accompanied by guide ‘mr bear’. I had a great time, the nature was breathtaking and the guide told several special stories and facts. On the second day we even made an extra short stop in a volcanic crater and were quiet for 30 seconds, very special because you really didn't hear anything. Also the stone lifting on the beach at Djúpalónssandur was worth it. Highly recommended!
Great 2-day tour Snaefellsnes. Clearly announced travel times, clean bus, extra stops, great tour guide (thanks Filip!!) pleasant variety between information through him and extremely suitable local and international music! we felt well taken care of with this provider and guide!
