Ehsan ( I hope I spelled his name correctly🤔) Was a great, friendly, accommodating guide. Met great people within the group. It was a good time.

Your tour starts with a Reykjavik pick up.
Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall in South Iceland with a 60-meter (197 ft) cascade. What makes it unique is that visitors can walk behind the falls into a small cave, offering a spectacular 360° view. The water originates from the Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano.
Skógafoss is one of Iceland's largest waterfalls, with a width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 meters (197 feet). It is located on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland. A staircase leads to the top of the waterfall, where you can look down at the thundering spectacle. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall.aterfall
Reynisfjara is a world-famous black sand beach on the South Coast of Iceland. It is known for its dramatic basalt columns, the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, and powerful Atlantic waves.
We will drive through the charming small town of Vík on our way to our accommodation
Skaftafell is a nature reserve located within Vatnajökull National Park in southeast Iceland. It's a region known for its diverse landscapes, encompassing glaciers like Skaftafellsjökull and Svínafellsjökull, dramatic waterfalls such as Svartifoss, and hiking trails that showcase Iceland's stunning natural beauty. Once a separate national park, it now forms an integral part of the larger Vatnajökull National Park, attracting visitors with its opportunities for outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery.
Eyjafjallajökull is an Icelandic stratovolcano covered by an ice cap. It's most famous for its 2010 eruption, which caused significant disruption to air travel across Europe due to its ash cloud.
ólheimajökull is an outlet glacier flowing from the larger Mýrdalsjökull ice cap in Southern Iceland. It's known for its accessibility, making it a popular destination for guided glacier hikes and ice climbing. Notably, it's a "climate glacier" that visibly responds to climate change, with a rapidly receding ice front.
Day 2
2
Jökulsárlón is a stunning glacial lagoon in southeast Iceland, renowned for its floating icebergs that break off from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. It's a dynamic and ever-changing landscape, where ancient ice drifts towards the sea, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Diamond Beach, located on Iceland's south coast, is a striking black sand beach where icebergs from the nearby Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon wash ashore.
During the summer months, guided tours offer the unique opportunity to explore the Katla Ice Cave, situated within the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in Iceland. This experience allows visitors to witness the striking blue ice formations and learn about the volcanic activity of Katla, which lies beneath the ice cap.
During the winter months, visitors can explore the breathtaking Crystal Ice Cave within Vatnajökull National Park. This seasonal phenomenon offers a chance to witness the stunning blue ice formations created by glacial meltwater, providing a unique and unforgettable experience.
We return to Reykjavík around 21:00 pm.

非常棒的一次旅行体验 have a very very niceeee trip The guide Ehsan made it fantastic
Jakoda is an excellent tour guide! She’s an excellent driver. She loves Iceland and I can tell! This 2 day tour is intense and busy. Jakoda kept us on time, so we can see everything we need to see and do. Amazing! I highly recommend!
The 2 day south cost tour was packed full and we saw everything on my list! The sights were breathtaking and the lodging was clean and cozy with good food in the hotel restaurant. Greta, our guide, was wonderful. Friendly, informative and an awesome driver! Minus one star for bus which was only half full with our small group and seating was very very tightly spaced. I’m barely 5’2 and I was cramped. Also if you are adverse to trekking in bad weather check the conditions on the day of the ice cave exploration. It was pouring and the trip proceeded as expected. We were soaked even with rain gear so keep a dry change of clothes handy. We did stop for a delicious Icelandic soft serve on the way back to the city which was a nice way to end it. And Greta graciously dropped everyone off at their place of lodging after a long day. All in all a great way to see all the top spots on southern rim..
Gretta is amazing!!!! She is not only knowledgeable and the safest driver ever She also cared for all of us like we were her own family! I was so sad to have the two days end! She brings out the best in everyone! I would go anywhere anytime with gretta on attic adventures!!! She helped us form the happiest group! Just go with gretta!!!!!
just one word: WOW!!!!! A MUST TO DO tour; everything was amazing the guide was so kind and polite, a lifetime experience.
This was, without question, one of the best tours we've ever taken. If you're debating whether a two-day tour is worth it, the answer is absolutely yes. The itinerary was incredible and covered so many of Iceland's iconic sights—towering waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers, icebergs at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and, of course, the ice cave itself. Every stop seemed to top the last, and it never felt repetitive. Having someone else handle all the driving and logistics allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. The ice cave experience was unforgettable. Walking through the glacier and seeing the brilliant blue ice up close is something that photos simply can't capture. It was one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate just how incredible nature can be. Our guide was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and clearly passionate about Iceland. Throughout the trip, we learned so much about the country's geology, history, and culture, which made the long drives fly by. The overnight accommodations were clean and comfortable, the group size was just right, and the entire tour was extremely well organized from pickup to drop-off. If you want to experience Iceland's South Coast without the stress of planning every detail yourself, I can't recommend this tour enough. It was worth every penny and ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Driver Jon was great! Filled the day with quality activities and suggestions. Even switched rooms when assigned room at Adventure Hof Hotel was not satisfactory for our pregnant daughter.
We had a really wonderful time!
We had an amazing time on the 2-Day South Coast and Ice Cave Adventure from Reykjavik. The landscapes were beautiful, but our guide, Gunn, made it a 10/10 experience. They kept us laughing the whole time, gave clear safety instructions, and took amazing photos for us at the best spots. Thank you, Gunn for a fantastic highlight to our Iceland trip!! In addition, three ladies from our group plus Gunn, we were all born Year of the Dragon!! We were laughing and had a wonderful photo taken!
We enjoyed the tour very much. Our tour guide Thor was also very good. Everything went ok without having any problem.
The best travel experience I had so far! Well planned and organized. The sightings and destinations were wonderful. Thanks to the tourguide Ronan, all of us who were on the tour really bonded fast as a team, and it felt like we knew each other for a long time... The atmosphere was simply top. He immediately made us introduce to each other...there was so much positive energy, I'm still stunned when I just think about how fast he made it happened. People from China, Switzerland, USA, Portugal/Brazil, Serbia, Russia, Japan, all together as one. He also provided us so much knowledge about Iceland, and the local lore and infrastructure, and history... I was amazed how much he knows...Such an energetic, charismatic, and positive character, so rare to see. And a really great sense of humor. He was also very professional when it came to our safety, really explained us in detail what we should, and shouldn't, and WHY (which is in my opinion one of the most important when it comes to safety and well-being!) The sightings were amazing, with enough times on each checkpoint. It couldn't have been done better. And also a big thanks to the Ice Cave guide Helki. Also a hell of a guy in the best possible way! Very professional, positive and reliable on a dangerous, and stunningly beautiful terrain. Thank you Arctic Adventures, and big thanks to the tourguides Ronan and Helki for the best experience so far for me!
Ronan was a very efficient driver and excellent historian-tour guide!! The tour was seamless! Since there were only 5 of us passengers (off season) we really did good with time that Ronan showed us 2 more places not on the itinerary! Thank you, Ronan! You are an MVP!! The monster truck ride to the glacier with Helki was rough and bumpy, it was an experience on its own! The highlight of this tour for me was Katla! She was surreal! One has to see it while it is still around- it is sitting on an active volcano that may go off anytime! Thanks to my personal photographer ( i can’t believe i forgot his name!!:(( and Helki who got me cinematic pictures inside the cave and on top of the glacier! Thank you Arctic Adventure and crew for these memorable experiences!! Am coming back for more thrills with you in the future!!
Hjalti was a very sweet guy and a good driver:) do recommend having him drive you ( also gave us chocolates 😜 )!! The tours were awesome everything was so beautiful and so much fun! 10/10
We recently completed the 2-day South Coast tour, and it was incredible. Our guide, Chris, was amazing! It was an absolute pleasure exploring the coast with him and chatting with him along the way. Chris gave us plenty of time to explore each site and shared fascinating insights into the landscapes and the history of Iceland. You can really feel his passion for the country in every story he tells, and the information he gives, as well as assuring everyone is safe during our travels with him.
I had the best experience in Iceland in the ice cave. Met new people from other countries and different cultures. The weather was unppredictable and didn't help us enjoy all the activities on the tour . Diamond Beach that day was disappointing due to weather conditions. . The accommodation was in a nice location with basic breakfast and rooms but set in a beautiful traditional Icelandic landscape. Good service and communication with arctic adventures !
Amazing trip, we did get very lucky with the weather which elevated the whole tour. Wendy is such a good guide, she had really interesting anecdotes to tell us throughout the tour and was able to answer all our questions. The time she gave us on each visit was optimal and she went above and beyond to try to show us northern lights at night. The spots included in the visit are mesmerizing and the number of stops we did felt very adequate for 2 days. Also Wendy is such a good driver, we felt absolutely safe. We look forward to booking another (longer) tour for our next visit in Iceland :)
Wendy was great. Driving and telling us stories. Safety number one. Even a fender bender was a non event. A smooth slow motion. Fender bender which was the other drivers fault and she veered away from driver to minimize contact. 5 min delay and we were off.
It was absolutely amazing. The guide definitely made things feel more safe. We enjoyed the whole trip. Love to try again. Gonna recommend to our friends. You guys did an amazing job. Ice cave was a bit hit.
Iceland is such a beautiful and unique place. I have never seen a beach like diamond beach before. Our guide is very knowledgeable.
Our guide HJALIJ bring us to see red church, gracier photo stops, lava field & horses which are not included in the trip. He is approachable & informative.
Tour guide Hjalti was extremely professional and shared a wealth of historical and cultural information which were little known. He also stopped at interesting spots along the way so we could get out and take pictures. Besides, the time management was very well. Many thanks once again.
Magga is an excellent guide. She drives and gives commentary at the same time, with superb driving skills. She has a friendly attitude, is always ready to help others, and works with a smile.
Undoubtedly the best tour I’ve ever booked in Iceland! Every stop was absolutely breathtaking, with Jökulsárlón and the ice cave standing out as highlights. Unfortunately I can’t fully remember our guide’s name but he was amazing, highly attentive during snowstorms and incredibly knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience from the beginning to the end of the tour. Our tour guide Oskar F is professional , well organized and making sure we are well taken care of. He even had a lot of surprises to us. Very friendly even sharing a lot of stories about the histories of every places we visited. He informed us what we need to expect , time and location we will meet him before letting us go around. I highly recommend this tour from this company. Thank you so much!
This experience was worth it. Our guide Oskar was amazing.
An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized, the accommodation were excellent, and Oskar Freyr went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. Highly recommended!
This was by far the most incredible experience we have ever had and that was heavily because of Oskar. From the moment we began the tour, we were greeted with a warm welcome and exciting facts about Iceland and the sites to come! I think he was also our lucky charm bc we had the most perfect weather both days we were in there, nothing but clear skies! The weather was so beautiful and Oskar was so committed to us all having the best experience, that he even made a few extra special stops! We cannot wait to return again in the summer because of this amazing experience with Oskar and hope we have him again! Oskar is really a man who deeply loves his country and getting to share its beauty!! Thank you Oskar!
Very nice experience with arctic adventure.
Our guide was awesome—super young, high-energy, and honestly hilarious. He dropped some great facts about the culture and geography, but more importantly, he made sure everyone was well taken care of.
This was everything and more. I couldn’t believe how amazing the stops were. Volcanic craters, waterfalls, glacier ice cave walks, this trip had everything. Our guide Wendy was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to explore the south coast!
The tour guide was very young, energetic and humorous . Throughout the trip, they shared a lot of interesting facts about Iceland’s geography and culture and interacted frequently with everyone in the group.
Our guide Arny was amazing on the South Coast tour! She was delightful to travel with and provided excellent information. However, the primary reason I will sing her praises is that we had a terrible storm the second day and she not only got us to the ice caves, but all the way home safe safely! We had rented an SUV and thought about doing the trip on our own, but we were extremely grateful we took a tour instead! The road was closed and the company owns one of the only hotels you can stay at beyond Vik. All of the people who stayed in Vik overnight were delayed hours by the road closure trying to get to the ice cave. We had lunch on the way back at a roadside stop while we waited for it to open. If we had been stuck overnight, Arctic would have arranged for hotel rooms and they would’ve been completely filled if we had traveled on our own and we would’ve been stranded in the storm. The hotel was great, dinner was delicious and Arctic Adventures used the best glacier guides. We saw people who had come on their own getting less experienced guides. We had to walk 30 minutes over the glacier in strong winds and intense snow and we were extremely grateful for such safe guides. Because of Arny’s experience, connection with other guides and amazing driving skills we made it back to Reykjavík safely! Several cars were involved in a terrible crash because they had slid on the icy roads. We passed over 15 cars, most of which were small rentals, that had slid off the road into deep snow and needed to be pulled out. We ski in the US so we’re familiar with driving on snowy roads, but Iceland doesn’t have any guard rails so if you skid, you end up off the road. Our Arctic Adventure truck survived even the strongest of winds and icy roads. I would strongly recommend taking a tour with Arctic Adventures if you consider doing the South Coast Ice Cave in winter. Finally, I forgot a pair of expensive boots in the back of the van and the team in the Main Office in Reykjavík did a fabulous job of finding them and allowing me to pick them up several days later.
Casper our guide was amazing. He was positive, informative and really made the trip amazing. We ran into some road closures due to weather and heavy winds and Casper was such a competent driver that we felt completely safe. We actually took 3 trips with Arctic Adventures and they definitely prioritize traveller safety. Every sight was great to see. Dinner at the hotel in Hof was amazing and it was really fun to spend some time with fellow travellers from all over the world. Everyone agreed, Casper is the best!
We booked the Crystal Ice Cave Tour expecting to see an actual blue ice cave as shown in the company’s photos and promotional materials. Unfortunately, there was no cave at all during our visit. The tour only led us through narrow ice walls and tight passages with no ceiling, no open cave formation, and no blue ice chamber. It did not resemble a cave experience in any meaningful way. If ice caves existed earlier in the season, they certainly do not exist now, yet the tour is still being marketed with the same photos and descriptions. This is extremely misleading. Visitors are paying specifically for a “cave” experience and not being informed that the cave is gone. The guides themselves were polite, but the company’s advertising is not accurate to current conditions. We felt disappointed and misled. If you are traveling later in the season, be aware that you may not see any real ice cave, only ice walls or tunnels. I strongly recommend future travelers confirm current cave conditions with recent photos taken within days, not stock images from earlier months. Very disappointing experience and poor transparency from the tour company.
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Casper was brilliant - he could speak several languages, he had great knowledge of Iceland and he was always happy, enthusiastic, helpful and good fun. We saw lots of amazing sights - huge waterfalls, ice caves, the diamond ice beach, the ice lagoon, snowy glaciers and beautiful sunsets. Also, the time we were given to explore and visit the sights was always a good amount. We stayed overnight at the Arctic Adventures hotel - it was warm and comfortable, and the dinner and breakfast were great.
Beautiful itinerary with absolutely breathtaking sights! We appreciated our driver Wendy who shared insights about the areas we visited and gave us time to enjoy our visit/take lots of photos. The only downside is that a long time is spent in the car on the way back from the tour and that journey does get tiring so I would recommend for people to give themselves an extra day afterwards for some rest before they fly back home. We really look forward to returning to Iceland and thank you Arctic Adventures for your planned activities!
Had an excellent trip with Joey as our tour guide. Stress free and confortable trip, got to experience the south coast in such a short time frame. Too bad we couldnt see the northern lights because it was too cloudy.
Despite the bad weather, we managed to complete the tour. Thanks for the professional guide, Lili, we had a great tour. Ice cave, waterfalls & glacier lagoon, all must visit in Iceland. Highly recommended to join this sightseeing tour if you don't want to drive in winter in Iceland
We were happy about the experience of tour. The tour guide Thor is really friendly and supportive. The tour is well arranged and ticked everything we expected. Nothing to complain about. 5 star.
Overall, we give high marks to Artic Adventures, based on the three different tours we took with them. The guides were each knowledgeable about the area, with each injecting his or her own perspectives into the subject matter. For the 2 day South Coast excursion, specifically, we encountered some inclement weather and hairy road conditions. The Artic Adventures group thoughtfully adjusted the published schedule to accommodate for road conditions. Our guide Lili was a professional throughout the process of maneuvering the weather and assuaging some apprehension about tootling forward during a yellow alert that displayed aggressive wind gusts, rain, snow and icy roads. We were impressed with her attention to detail and thorough communication of the adjustments to the plan. We appreciated her insight into the unique features of Icelandic culture, as well as the geology of the land, all the while being a gracious host to the group. In the end, we survived unscathed and are grateful for the memorable experience.
Great tour. Ice cave a little disappointing.. Lots of people. Ice covered with ashes... But nice to see. Best guide ever... Ronan the French icelander. He knows everything about Iceland. Very caring and professional.
We had a wonderful experience with a Tour Guide Named Ms Gretta during our Tour.. Ms Gretta was very hospitable and courteous at the same time very professional in hes approach. We tested a different level of experience during our tour. She was well informed, very courteous, highly professional, very sociable, could connect with everyone on the group very well. Excellent at her job.
Amazing 2-day trip! We were super lucky with the good weather and our grate guide : Lili, who’s super funny and responsible!! It was definitely the best one trip I’ve participated in during the Iceland 🇮🇸 trip!
Lili was a fantastic tour guide and we loved her enthusiasm for Iceland. She went above and beyond for us too. We enjoyed seeing so many beautiful places in the South Coast - highly recommend!
We had a wonderful trip with our Arctic Adventures tour guide Lili who took great care of us! Very knowledgeable, responsible, and so lovely to be with! All the sights were amazing particularly Diamond Beach and the Glacial Lagoon—stunning!
We had a wonderful two days with Lili as our guide! Lili was very friendly and knowledgeable and did an amazing job with some very difficult driving and some unforeseen challenges. We would definitely recommend traveling with Lili as your guide!
I recently joined a 2-day South Coast tour with Arctic Adventures and had the pleasure of being guided by V Ignor. He was flexible, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the trip. His driving skills made us feel safe, even with strong winds during our journey. V Ignor’s passion and professionalism truly enhanced my experience. This was my third visit to Iceland, and his dedication made it unforgettable. I highly recommend V Ignor for anyone looking to explore Iceland in a memorable way.
Iceland is beautiful. We took the 2 Day - South Coast, Ice Cave, Skaftafell & Jokulsarlon Ice Lagoon. It was a unique experience. The crystal cave tour was wonderful. Mr. B was awesome in helping me to climb up and down the cave safely. Big thanks to his kindness. The hotel accomodation had an attached bathroom. Breakfast was awesome. Skogafoss Waterfall, crystal cave, glacier lagoon and diamond beach were really wonderful and unique landscape. The tour stopped at convenient locations which had free bathrooms and good food options. It was a memorable trip. We only missed the northern lights as the activity was low when we visited.
I went on the 2-day tour of the south coast with Verjan. He was fun and dedicated. He took us to an extra stop we had time for. The tour was a great introduction to the south coast of Iceland gutting some of the major spots.
