1.5 Hour Buggy Tour From Reykjavik – Off-road Adventure

We were lucky enough to have our guide, Daria, all to ourselves on this trip. She was absolutely fantastic! We got to drive really fast, and the whole experience was a solid 10/10. Highly recommend it!

Patrick was the best guide. We had an awesome tour with the buggy. Over the roads, both dirt and paved, up the mountain for great tours. They were perfect in the safety briefing, movie and equipment. Long enough time on the side-by-side,

Our guide Patrick gave us a ripping fun tour. The shop was cool and clean and they had the perfect gear for us. The buggy’s were is great shape, the trail was bumpy and fun, and the views from the top were spectacular! Patrick shared interesting info about the area, always made sure we were good, and was friendly and funny. We whooped along the way and wished it would not end.

We had a blast! The buggies were a lot of fun and our guide was fantastic. The route and terrain were just the right amount of adventure for all of us in the family. Both of my teenagers say it was a top highlight of our trip and would highly recommend to their friends.

Great tour. Our guide Patrick was really good at explanating and he was very attentive on the tour. He kept a good pace meanwhile hej was making sure we where ok.

My son and I had a great time. I had not driven one before and it was relatively easy. Just be prepared to drive on the roadway for a portion of the trip, including traffic circles (max speed on roadway was 70 kmh).

I did this tour with my 71 year old mother and 6 year old daughter. We all loved it! It’s a great way to see the beauty of Iceland in an adventurous way. Everyone was super nice to us and helpful. My daughter was a passenger of mine, using a booster seat they provided. My mother was the guides passenger as she wasn’t confident driving herself. It was action packed and exactly what we wanted for our stopover.

So fun! Great for everyone. Experts may be a bit bored though.

We had a great time on this excursion. Hanna our tour guide was amazing. She showed us her beautiful country and at the same time made us feel safe and secure on our ATV's. The trip was well organized, ran on time and worth every cent! Highly recommend.

Thrilling experience with the family (20s adults) and we went off just the 4 of us with our guide. As we're all adventurous it was nice not having slower strangers holding us back. Our guide was informative and fun.

There's a weather warning on, flights cancelled, our bus trip was cancelled so we booked this, crazy crazy weather but ive just had the best day ever!

This was, hands down, my favorite activity that i signed up for. I was picked up at my hotel (well a nearby hotel; apparently mine should've been on the pickup spot list but either there was a glitch, or i made a mistake, no biggie) and the driver was the friendliest on my whole trip. Everyone was friendly but she made it extra fun. Arriving at the location was quick and painless. Their office has a beautiful wall with customers' writing on it. All the equipment they lend is clean and as comfortable as it could be. You drive in the city for a bit until you get to the mountain, but then the terrain is perfect for an ATV. Rocky, hilly, huge puddles. Then the view at the top of the mountain solidified the experience as my favorite. We were directed different ways coming and going to enrich the experience. It literally made me want to go in an ATV in every country i visit now. Bring a go pro or meta glasses if you're solo, because it's tough to drive and record/take pictures. Great time, thrilling adventure over snowy mountains and on tracks deep in snow ❄️ the hour went too quickly. Would go for the 2 hour excursion next time. Mario was great he didn't lose his smile even when digging us out of a snow drift. Exciting and absolutely awesome

I did the tour with my daughter 17yrs. We had a lovely time with our guide Anna, the weather was dry and sunny. We were the only ones and very much appreciated not to end up in a very big group. Everyone is very friendly. You get hot coffee after the tour or while dressing up. They provide gear everything to keep you warm. We then walked to a nearby swimming pool (Daslaug) to spend the rest of the afternoon and returned back to Reykjavik with public bus Straeto.

I booked this trip short notice after our snowmobiling with another company got cancelled due to weather conditions. We did the hour quad session where you go into the mountains, down dirt tracks and even across frozen lakes. The guys were all super friendly and accommodating. There was a little hiccup with the transfers ( not on their behalf) but no questions asked, they quickly organised a transfer to and from, free of charge to collect and drop us off. I would absolutely encourage you to book this tour, you’ll have a great time!

Booked a family buggy adventure today. My 8 year old (with additional needs) had a complete meltdown / panic attack with the bike helmet and refused to wear it. The staff were absolutely brilliant: calm, kind, friendly and supportive…but he was having non of it. So hubby stayed behind with him whilst I went on the trip…the staff were SO amazing and flexible that hubby got to go on trip later in the afternoon whilst I looked after our son. So no one missed out….AND the buggy and atv adventures were so much fun… tour guide was amazing. Lots of local knowledge, really friendly and made everyone feel safe and welcome. The 2 Hour Twin Peak Quad Adventure surpassed all our expectations for both my wife and I sharing one Quad Having already completed Tours to the Blue Lagoon , Golden Circle , Whale Spotting and Northern Lights , The 2 hour twin peak quad adventure was the best by a country mile , it was exciting, value for money and extremely enjoyable, if I could score a 10 we would do

Had the time of my life. Paula was an amazing guide. This is something that you must do. The views were beautiful even with the haze.

The trip started off with our friendly driver, Paula who brought us to base and helped us get fitted into cold weather gear. Admittedly I thought the layers seemed a bit over the top- but it was perfect for our windy and foggy ride. Sir Kaktuz guided us through breathtaking views with ease. We drove through bumps and mud and water and had an absolutely wonderful time. Would definitely recommend!

From start to finish we loved this activity. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The ATV ride was fun and the views were beautiful. We didn’t want an all day trip so this was just perfect.

We did the 2 hour buggy adventure. We didn’t actually like the route alone the way. And this is because we had to drive for at least 1 hour, not even close but LITERALLY under the high voltage electricity cables all along the way. There was only one little part of the route, no more than 100-200 meters long, that was really nice, when we crossed a small river and guess what, that was where our tour guide stopped and took some pictures of us which of course was totally misleading of the experience and the views as a whole. Iceland is one of the most picturesque countries in the world, the things we’ve seen during our 15days roadtrip were beyond imagination. And on our last day we ended up driving buggies under electricity towers. What a shame.

Really allowed us to experience Iceland in a different way-truly an adventure (not for the faint of heart-but it’s a TON of fun! Our guide, Sir Iraktuz was outstanding: personal, clear and let us have a great ride -thank you !

This trip was soooooo much fun! I have never driven an ATV before this trip. I felt well educated and informed about what to expect and how to use the ATV. Our guide was Gonzalo, and I can't say enough about how great he was. They gave us suits, helmets and gloves to wear. The facility was IMMACULATE. I will do another tour, hopefully a longer one, when I visit Reykjavik again.

Our family had so much fun on the tour. Jacob was ecstatic to finally go up the mountain. He waited the whole trip for this. Cactus wild was a fantastic tour guide. He is very funny and makes people that are uneasy feel very comfortable. Highly recommended! Beautiful view from the mountain!!

This was SO much fun. I am afraid of heights so was really nervous but this ride is perfect for someone with a fear of heights. Giulia was a fantastic guide. I will for sure being doing this or something similar next time I’m back in Iceland.

The buggy adventure was a great time! It was a rainy day and were concerned to get all wet and muddy. That was not the case as the company provides all the rain gear and coveralls to protect you from all the elements. The guide was great and lead us through all the trails and made sure my wife and 9yr old daughter were doing good and felt comfortable driving through all the terrain. We stop at the top of a large mountain bluff to take in the views of Iceland. The guide answered all our questions and we enjoyed the trip very much. Would recommend.

SirCactus was an awesome guide, we had a blast. I highly recommend this trip. Photo opportunities were limited, only 2, but the view was spectacular even on a rainy day. We were a group of 10, all but 2 were experienced. Our 11 yo grandson went with one of the more experienced drivers. Go in the morning, and don’t worry about your hair… seriously, don’t bother😂. If you have shoulder problems or are claustrophobic, you might have some concerns, but the trip was so worth it anyways… The company gives you overall which are fleece lined and go over your winter coat, which I was glad I had. I had a turtle neck and my coat zipped all the way up and was plenty warm.. some of the men in our group were too warm.. wear water proof boots.

We had a fun time with our family. The facilities were very nice and our guide was awesome, sir cactus. Everyone got suited up in the warm coveralls for the windy chilly ride. Our guide respected our limits while still ensuring we made the most of our time. Highly recommend recommended!

What a great experience! Our guide, a young Spanish gentleman, was lovely. His rundown of the rules and guide to the bikes was both to the point and humorous. He lead us up a pat up a mountain. At the top, he made sure to take pics for each couple in our group. I was nervous to allow my 17 yo son who just started driving, to drive on the off roading trail as it was difficult in parts, but I knew he was disappointed and probably wanted a more thrilling experience. So, he took my son on his bike down the mountain to give him a real experience. He also stopped so that my son could drive on some fun roads and experience the drive. He was very good to us. The Safari Quads other staff were equally as wonderful to deal with when we were checking in and afterwards. I would highly recommend this tour. 1 hour was enough - but I suspect the 2 and 3 hour tours would be incredible. Thanks Safari Quads for a memorable experience!

We actually did 2 hours. It was exhilarating and breathtaking. The guide Paula was so friendly and knowledgeable we felt very safe. It was wonderful to be in the company of a person so passionate about Iceland and its beautiful nature.

A solo experience I will never forget. Pickup was on time and easy to organise. When I arrived Paula and her colleagues were amazing at helping us all get dressed, there were many layers so it was very tricky! All of us got a good explanation of how to use the bikes safely. Then I went on a 2 hour adventure with Paula (one of the workers) and we went to 2 destinations. The last one we luckily got to see a rainbow - Paula took heaps of photos for me & told me a little bit about Iceland and its volcanic activity. Drop off was included. I would recommend this tour & if possible to have Paula as your tour guide, she was very knowledgeable.

Our son Owen (7) says ‘that was utterly and absolutely AMAZING!’ (And we loved it too). Paula our guide explained everything really clearly, kept things safe but fun. Our favourite bit was zooming across the river. Thanks Paula!

Would highly recommend, well organised, our guide Paula explained everything making it very easy to hop in and drive. Went off roading through deep water and steep climbs but the buggy’s handle this terrain with ease. Thoroughly enjoyed this and pick up and drop off from the hotel was great.

SO MUCH FUN 🤩! We had a beautiful clear morning after lots of fresh snow & Paula our guide made sure we had the best experience taking us off road through some beautiful countryside with great views of the mountains. Driving through fresh powder made it all more fun and we felt like we were a long way from everything. Would highly recommend!
