Wonderful tour of the champagne region starting with Veuve Clicquot and ending with some fabulous smaller champagne houses. We tasted 11 different champagnes! Great group. Great guide.

We visited some champagne houses and did our sampling, all very nice but Epernay itself is a traffic choked nightmare. Cycling in the town is downright dangerous and walking isn't much better. A horrible experience.
Three great locations and fantastic lunch. Every glass was lovely. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was very good and knew his stuff. Five star trip.
We had a fabulous time in Reims/Epernay and my party was thrilled with the whole experience. We visited Pommery on the first day (iconic, huge scale and wonderfully easy to get to), but this was nothing compared to the day you organised. Our guide (Anne) was so enthusiastic but not gushing; her English was also very strong. She kept us informed, made it fun and the group size made it all feel very personal. The trip to Epernay was a real treat; seeing Boziel first, then Le Clos, where lunch and games were laid on, plus a great story of the business evolving; again , she made it really enjoyable and the hosts were a delight. Our final stop at Geoffroy Maitre was a good end to a brilliant day.
Perrine was a fabulous guide! She made the tour interactive with fun aromatic exercises and champagne process quizzes. Lunch was great and the quiche was to die for….I want the recipe!!!! Good luck with Chiropractic school Perrine!!!!
Perrine was absolutely amazing start to finish! Picked up on time in predetermined location. So warm & friendly! VERY knowledgeable about Champagne & the history of the region. Went above & beyond all day! Felt like we were long time friends! Even have & made dinner reservations after the tour. Was hesitant because of the price, but worth EVERY penny!
Great day Visiting smaller wineries Driving through the small villages Lunch was excellent typically French Our guide Jerome was very engaging and knowledgeable and obliging in stopping for photos I highly recommend this tour Not cheap but worth it
Our guide Suzanne was great - very knowledgeable about the region and the local houses we visited. I placed an order to buy champagne but have not received email confirming order so I can pay for it. Who do I contact?
Amazing experience, beautiful views, great champagne and delicious lunch. Our tour guide Chloe was amazing, informative and so much fun. Highly recommend the tour.
After some confusion with logistics, we had an excellent full day tour! The guide, Thomas, was great - very knowledgeable and catered well to the group. We visited the house of Moet, vineyards and a smaller champagne house, and had an excellent lunch. There was lots of champagne which were generous sizes. Can’t recommend more!
We had a wonderful time! A great capstone to our time in France. A full eight hour tour with multiple tastings. We even bought a few bottles. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour guide, Xavier. He was very knowledgeable to the area. We did a tour of three wineries, went over to a Lookout over the different vineyards, viewed a few cellers, as well as the church where Dom Perignon is buried. Lunch was amazing. We additionally enjoyed getting to meet two of the winemaking owners.
Excellent tour. Our guide Xavier was great. He gave us detailed info on the champagne making process that was simple and practical without making it boring. The wineries and vineyards they brought us too were fantastic. Most were the types of places tourists rarely get to see but were the exact image of the Champagne region that you would imagine. The champagnes we tasted were incredible. Just as delicious as a Dom Perignon at a fraction of the price. Lunch was absolutely delicious in a picturesque, family-owned winery that was amazing. We even got to visit Dom Perignon’s tomb! I can’t say enough about this tour. Worth every penny!
Went on a solo champagne tour with another couple. This was such an amazing experience and our tour guide Xavier is so knowledgeable on the region and the wine. Will def give a 5✡️
Our Tour guide Tomas was very helpful and very accommodating in answering our questions. The Tour had only 8 persons, which was great!
Our guide was amazing and very knowledgable. Tastings were plentiful and lunch delicious. A great experience and a fantastic day. Thank you Xavier.
What a fantastic tour So many great places visited. Our Guide Xavier was excellent, very knowledgeable and a great host for the day - nothing was too much trouble. Moet et Chandon was amazing, as was the family run Champagne House we visited- it was great to see the contrast between the two particularly being able to see the process from start to finish at close quarters at the family run house with the amazing owner. Our master class and lunch at the other family run Champagne House was also fantastic, excellent food and beautiful setting. Plus driving round the vineyards, visiting the Abbey of Dom Perignon - it was a full and very worthwhile day. Can't recommend it highly enough!
What an amazing day! Our tour guide Jerome was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. From the tour of Moët et Chandon to the winery and lunch everyone was very friendly…we couldn’t fault it at all and would highly recommend!
Great day! Lots of highlights but visiting some smaller houses like Philipponnat and P. Lancelot Royer as well as Moët & Chandon was very special. Lunch and the quiz was also excellent. Thomas was a fantastic host with lots of knowledge and charm. Highly recommended. Thanks team!
We learned a lot about making champagne. We enjoyed seeing the aging bottles in the cellars. We also had a great lunch and they accommodated my vegetarian diet.
Dear Viator Team, thanks a lot for this wonderful and exciting tour with your guide Clara. After the 3 months shutdown of corona we got the first tour to visit Moet et Chandon. We were only two persons so that was really a personalised trip. Our guide Clara was a very friendly, professional and care taking person and we felt super well treated from her. She knew everything about Champagner. The introduction has been given on a wonderful view across the wine region. Afterwords we visited Moet and Chandon with a very passionated lady and tried 2 glasses of ICE Champagne. After this tasting we visited two other wineries and had lunch with a little quiz. It was great!! Overall we spent a fantastic day and this will not be the last time. We will definitely come back.
After we missed our booking (our fault). A la Francaise moved heaven and earth to rebook us onto the following day with little penalty. Many Thanks again! The activity itself.... We experienced a comprehensive and immersive champagne tour that will serve as a capstone to our trip to France. The food and company was exceptional and we will be revisiting this tour when next in France.
The tour is all day, and Angelique is the best tour guide I’ve ever had anywhere. She is hilarious, she is warm, and she is very knowledgeable. The wineries you go to are so interesting and I’m glad they start at Moët & Chandon. There is a lot of booze to be had and a really wonderful lunch spread eaten family style...be prepared to have an outstanding time! If you’re staying in Paris be prepared to pay $60/person for the train to and from - well worth the money!
Loved this tour. You'll get to see what a large champagne house looks like and what a small, mom&pop shop looks like. Lunch was delicious, and the guides were truly exceptional in their knowledge, kindness, and hospitality. Also very flexible-- when we started the tour we realized that we'd already viewed the cellars at Moet. Our guide was nice/flexible enough to allow us to view a different champagne house up the street. Overall amazing tour, would recommend this 100 times over to anyone vising the region.
This is a well executed tour run by people who know their region and the subject at-hand. The tour itself is excellent, and the places visited are first rate. Our lunch was simply delightful...all-in-all a great day!
My boyfriend and i spent a wonderful day with Tom. Thanks for everything we will highly recommend this guide and this tour to our friends! Santé!
Suzanne’s knowledge and sweet personality made this day to remember. We saw so much , we learnt so much , the lunch was delicious and our group was fun! We tasted so many different types of champagne , learn the history of making it and we brought home few bottles - can’t wait to try it now 👍🏻 Thank you so very much!
This tour exceeded all our expectations - learnt so much and had fun at the same time. Tom, our guide, was very passionate about champagne and very knowledgeable. We wanted a small group tour and eight was the perfect number.
This tour was about as perfect as it could be. Our tour guide Tom spoke great English, was pleasant and knowledgeable, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Lunch was great, and our tour took us to the various regions, and exposed us to all of the grape varieties grown here. We especially enjoyed the quiz we took, testing exactly what we were tasting and what we had learned of the winemaking process. My only word of caution, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, is that the pours tended to be quite generous and my wife and I had to be careful not to overindulge. This of course was not a criticism of the company, but of our own temptation. All of the stops were informative and interesting, and at times I felt like our tour guide Tom knew as much about champagne and the region as our hosts at the various champagne houses. If you ever have an opportunity to go into this region of France, don’t miss it! This tour would provide you with a great introduction to the history, culture and colorful region, not to mention a taste of some of the finest champagnes the world has ever produced.
This tour was amazing - exceeded our expectations. Perfect for anyone who likes champagne (whether you know nothing or everything about it!). Very informative and relaxed and the lunch was great. The family winery where you do your champagne master class (which is so fun) is absolutely gorgeous and there’s a cute doggo to top it off. Small group so you don’t feel overwhelmingly like a tourist. The tour of Moet & Chandon was amazing. Also, the ‘tastings’ are usually full size glasses of wine! Jerome was a fantastic tour guide. Very experienced and knowledgeable and funny. If you are going to epernay this is a must do. It’s the best way to see the most of epernay is a day and drink champagne and be driven around in a comfy van! Worth every cent.
Angelique was the perfect guide. After Moet & Chandon, she took us the Hautvilliers where Dom Perignon invented the blend for champagne. She also took us to Oger to a small family champagne house. Lunch was wonderful, preceded by a tasting class. My husband & I were very happy we booked this trip and had a wonderul day.
Susanne, the guide was excellent. She was knowledgeable, nice and accommodant. Thank you for a fantastic day.
The guide Guillarme was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about champagne. It was a full day tour which started at Moet Chandon. You got to see their extensive cellars and got to taste some champagne. The tour took you to 3 different vineyards where the grapes are grown that are used to produce champagne. The tasting portion of the tour was very enlightening and lunch was excellent. The tour is operated by a la Francaise. The owner was extremely helpful in locating an electrical adapter plug for me. He then had the van drop us off at the store. I took a number of tours while in Europe this was the best and most enjoyable of them.
We had a very memorable and enjoyable day. Would highly recommend it. Angelina was super, really helpful and informative. Thank you for such a fun day out
We had a great day tasting champagne. We had a small group and a wonderful tour guide (Tom). We started at Moet which was a super interesting tour and a great way to learn the basics of how champagne is made and stored. The cellars are pretty and massive. We followed this by a beautiful drive through Epernay and the surrounding vines. We stopped for pictures and some historical sites. We had a great time at the "workshop" putting our knowledge of champagne to the test while we had some light snacks and tasted 3 delicious champagnes. It was followed by a wonderful lunch with local foods. We got to know the other couple on our tour during lunch and had some more wine. It was a great chance to meet other people you wouldn't normally meet! After that we went to a small family champagne house, which was my husband and I's favorite part. It was a long and fun day - highly recommend this tour!
After assurance from the booking agent that this tour did pick up from Reims we were left waiting and needed to take action. The tour company responded magnificently and within an hour a tour pick up was arranged for us and remained our guide for the rest of the day. Tom, a local to the area, made our tour interesting and enjoyable. They say that the mark of a good company is how it recovers from "mistakes", A la Francaise came out tops, well done to all for a FAB day.
This tour was much more than champagne tasting. Martin, our tour guide provided us with all the knowledge you will ever need to know about the world of Champagne. You will start your tour with a visit to the largest Champagne House, Moet et Chandon in Epernay with their vast underground cellars. In contrast, you will also visit a small family ran Champagne producer . Tastings in both are included in the tour. I highly recommend this tour. Also look out for the little dog when you are having lunch. He is such a character.
My husband and I absolutely loved our day with tour guide Martin! We spent a week in France and this was by far our favorite excursion. Martin did an excellent job teaching us about the region. It was a perfect mix of champagne house tours, education, food, and champagne tastings! Both fun and fascinating, full of excellent information. Highly recommend and we plan on returning again soon!
Perrine est excellente . Les activités précédent le déjeuner étaient parfaites et le repas excellent.
This little tour in Champagne made me want to settle in the provinces. It's just crazy: the air is good, the sky is blue and the birds are singing. The icing on the cake? A passionate guide who masters his subject: Thomas is a local child and it feels! He introduced us to the Marne Valley and its surroundings with brilliance, counted us the history of champagne, Dom Pérignon and the 3 great grape varieties. A treat, quite simply. I recommend to all Parisians who want to change air and avoid the burn-out, this course is a breath of fresh air, and its guide is as sparkling as a cuvée of white white. Very sad to resume the rhythm metro, work, afterwork, sleep; I should settle for a mojito in rooftop, far from these vines that made me travel so much. Thank you Thomas, and see you soon!:)
