Ann was such a wonderful host and we had a delightful time on our half day tour. Ann was knowledgable and patient. She shared so much history and knowledge and we stopped at two fantastic local growers. This is such a good way to see the entire champagne process truly up close and personal in a very different way than you will see at the large houses (though they are also wonderful!)

Great region to visit. Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Selecting family producers was the right choice.
Our tour with Tom was enjoyable. We learned a lot about producing champagne. There were a few things that could be improved. Tom was friendly and knowledgeable but the 8 passenger van was very dirty. You couldn’t see the beautiful landscape thru the filthy windows. We were never offered water which I think is mandatory for these wine drinking tours. There should have been a cooler or something for us to put any wine purchases. I think Tom could have been a little more professional in his manner. Opening doors and helping guests in and out of Van.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour! I took the train from Paris for the day to join this tour. Pickup was very easy (right outside the train station in Reims). Each of the 3 stops was special and unique. I loved the mix of a big champagne house with a few smaller family owned ones. We had lunch at the second chateau which was delicious. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly (coming from a family of champagne makers herself!). Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!
We had a great tour guide named Zoe, who had extensive knowledge of the industry, area and history of Champagne. Our guide also mentioned that her family is also involved in the industry, which would have been great to learn more about in the introduction to the session. We had a very lovely lunch with accommodation for vegetarian options (three course + cheese) with paired wines and a tasting. Each family operation was a unique visit and I would highly recommend this tour and guide to anyone wanting to learn more. It would be worth doing this tour along with the major houses to get a full idea of the region.
What a fantastic day with an awesome guide. We now know so much more not only about how champagne is produced but also about the history of champagne. So glad we joined this tour.
The tour is excellent. The guide was informative and helpful, and the vineyard operators were welcoming and patient. I would suggest taking a snack to get you through the trip without getting hangry, wear comfortable clothes, and ask plenty of questions.
A superb introduction to Champagne! Beside learning about production techniques, we were introduced to local, independent wine producers that provided a welcoming experience! Cour guide Chloe is a funny, informative, and friendly guide. Hope you are lucky to have her showing you her lovely hometown!
Lunch was delicious as well as the sparkling. The second winery was disorganized, cluttery, and not an impressive experience.
Went to small individual house operations. Guide was nice but with no personality. Have been on numerous Viator trips with fun guides. Honestly we were all ready to just be done before it was over
This was an amazing tour - we highly recommend! Our guide Ana was amazing! There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable in the van. We went to 2 small growers and it was wonderful!
What a wonderful day with Eva! The van was very comfortable and well driven. Eva was very knowledgeable about the area, the champagne process and the people. Eva was friendly and attentive throughout and made the whole day very enjoyable. The food and champagne at Le Clos Corbier was fantastic as was the champagne at Cordoin-Didierlaurent. Thanks for a great day Eva!
Exceptional tour in Champagne country! Our guide Zoe was fun and super informative about Champagne , how it’s made, the various vineyards and about her home region.
A great way to experience Champagne region and learn about the champagne making process. Ann was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable. Lunch was excellent. We got to taste several different kinds of champagnes.
Lots of scenery and great in depth knowledge of making champagne. Even trips down in the cellars. But only 6 pours throughout the day, so savor them.
The champagne tasted and the lunch were excellent, staff at both vineyards very knowledgeable and interesting. Our driver was new to the role, only 3 weeks and it showed a bit, some questions he couldn't answer. Also during the drive more interested in playing music we liked that telling us about the area and the champagnes, not happy he was using his phone whilst driving.
The tour was absolutely amazing Chloe, our tour guide, was phenomenal. She was so educated and informative about champagne and the Region. The lunch was delicious and the samplings were great.
Magnificent tour lead by Chloe she was extremely knowledgable and lead us a nice day in Reims the pickup spot was 50 yards from the train ststion
It is an incredible value for the tour. You get to enjoy very good champagne and a solid lunch. Our guide, Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk with for anything from champagne, to regional history, to recommending other activities in the area.
Jerome was an excellent guide. We learned so much from him and he was fun and organized. Highly recommend.
Excellent experience! Suzanne was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I thought I was going to catch a buzz but ended up leaving with so much more knowledge about champagne and the region! I would highly recommend!
The Reims champagne tour was excellent! Susanne was an amazing guide who grew up in the area and has worked in the industry. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was great and we learned so much about the making of champagne. We visited and had tastings at the large champagne house Mumm along with the smaller house Veuve Maitre Geoffrey in Hautvillers. We also had a tour of Reims, including the Notre Dame cathedral, and the surrounding countryside to observe the vineyards. A vert nice lunch with champagne in Hautvillers is also included. Highly recommended!
Wonderful tour of two small and beautiful champagne houses. Perrine was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable, friendly and charming. Lunch with champagne and wine tasting at one of the wineries was a highlight. Truly great tour that I would highly recommend.
We learned a lot on this tour. The lunch was a real highlight, and the girl at the Collery Champagne house was lovely and very informative! Our guide for the day was very knowledgeable as well. We also enjoyed seeing the cellars at Salmon Champagne. I thought the price was too high for what this was, but we had a good day and learned a lot. Next time, we would take one of the less expensive tours or one of the big houses instead.
An enjoyable day learning about local smaller champagne producers. Lunch was very nice local food and champagnes. Our guide, Thomas was very informative
Choloe is an excellent tour guide. Food is delicious, served in small intimate dining room. Learned a ton about the process.
A great learning and cultural experience on a topic we didn’t realize how much we didn’t know. Our guide was exceptional her knowledge experience and humor Made the day enjoyable.
Very informative. An great day out. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the choice of venues was well made.
Met on time, very knowledgeable guide, quaint destinations and knowledgeable hosts. Lunch was wonderful, and gave our small group some time to get acquainted which allowed for great tour.
This was a fun tour and our guide was very pleasant. We started with a paired lunch at one of the champagne houses, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Each course had a different pairing. The tour included some stops for photos and site visits before a second champagne house. Our tour guide essentially led the tour and tasting at the second location, and she clearly had good knowledge of the region.
We did a champagne region tour with a small group (6 people all up) in a very nice van. Anna our guide worked previously in the wine industry and had lots of knowledge. Her English was perfect with a very nice French twist.
Booked last minute the night before, but accommodated my wife and I for an excellent all around tour of the area. Etienne is a very knowledgeable gentleman with excellent English who had worked in the champagne industry and was happy to share his knowledge and experience with us, in fact, he came in on his day off! Lunch was excellent, paired with local wines and champagnes. Visited Dom Perignon’s grave. The tour agenda, and Etienne in particular, made for an absolutely wonderful learning experience!
Extremely knowledgeable of the champagne business and process, from press to fermentation to bottling, 2nd fermentation and sediment removal. We all enjoyed the trip. Lunch was outstanding!
Thomas is a very friendly guide that is a native of Reims and has a rather interesting life experience before he became a guide. His positive outlook of life truly embodies the French lifestyle - if it’s too hot in the day, it’s fine because I get a to drink a good bottle of wine at the end of my work day and chill. Love it!
This was a great tour! Tom was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. I learned a lot about Champagne town that I never knew and the houses he took us to were Amazing! Lunch was fantastic. The views he took us to were picturesque.Would definitely recommend this tour.
The tour company and guide were excellent. Very informative and understanding in helping me out to meet the tour
An excellent tour. Martin was very knowledgable and friendly. It was a nice balance between a big change house, i.e. Mumm and and smaller places such as P. Lancelot Royer. The tasting at Collery and the lunch was superb! Merci!
I am writing to share feedback on our recent family tour to the Champagne region in France, which included a luncheon and champagne tasting. While we appreciated the opportunity to explore such a beautiful area, there are a few aspects of the experience that we believe could be improved. Firstly, Martin, our driver was friendly . However, it is important to note that he was not equipped to serve as a tour guide. His heavy accent made it challenging for us to understand the information he was trying to convey, which led to repeated requests for clarification. This language barrier unfortunately detracted from our overall experience, as we were eager to learn more about the region and its offerings. Additionally, although the van was equipped with a microphone, Martin used it for less than 60 seconds throughout the entire tour. Instead, he spent most of the time speaking quietly to the two passengers seated in the front, leaving those of us in the backseat unable to hear or engage during nearly two hours of driving. This limited our ability to benefit from any insights or commentary he might have provided. During the luncheon, we encountered some confusion regarding the dishes served. While we were grateful that dietary restrictions were considered, we were not informed about the specifics of the dishes, being served beyond the obvious items like salad bread and cheese. This lack of information left us uncertain about what we were eating, which was disappointing given the culinary aspect of the tour. Furthermore, the champagne and wine tasting lacked the informative component we had anticipated. The guide's role seemed limited to pouring drinks, without providing details about the types of champagne or wine, or suggestions for pairings. He did refer to laminated printouts for our second tasting. In the end, it felt as though we simply had a driver and someone to pour champagne, rather than a comprehensive tour experience. Considering the cost of $1450 for six people, we felt that the experience did not fully meet our expectations. In hindsight, organizing our own itinerary with a dedicated driver and luncheon might have offered a more enriching and personalized experience without the expense.
Be prepared to have a great experience ! Anne was our guide and she shared so much of her knowledge with our group. We liked the small family champagne houses the best.
Our guide Thomas was absolutely amazing. It was such a fun day and very cool to learn about the champagne making process and the history of the area. Lunch was also great! I think I speak for everyone in my group when I say that we had an amazing time!
In addition to tasting champagne, this tour provides a beautiful window into Reims as a region. Observing rows of vines from a small hill in the shade and encountering the resting place of Dom Perignon in Saint-Sindulphe are a few experiences that make this trip feel like a wholistic introduction to the land that produces the thing we call champagne. Moving on to the champagne itself, the tasting at Lancelot-Royer felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Enjoying (and buying!) a beverage crafted with immense care by a small producer that doesn't frequently sell internationally is a privilege I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and professional. The day was well planned, lunch was very good.
Comfortable vehicle, delicious lunch with generous tastings in beautiful environment. Knowledgeable driver & guide, great fun experience.
A well paced and very informative experience. Our guide Anna was fabulous. And it was great visiting some of the smaller growers in the area to hear and feel their passion for their craft. And lunch was delicious! We recommend this tour.
Well organised. Guide, Anne, very knowledgeable and kind. Good choice of places to visit. Generous tastings and lunch
I thought the tour was fantastic and the guide very good combing a great meal with learning about Champagne.
The food and champagne were excellent. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about both history and the champagne processes, as well as various brands of champagne. He treated us very well. Highly recommend this tour
An amazing day with Étienne. He was on time, a good driver, a nice guy and a very good guide that knew what he talked about.🥂
Great experience of the wineries in the Champagne Valley ! Out tour Gude Julie really made it a great day !
We thoroughly enjoyed our half day tour with lunch! Suzanne met us at the meeting point on time and we joined the full day group already at Veuve Clicquot. We all then travelled to Collard-Milesi for a tour of the house and champagne making process. We ate a delicious lunch there, too, with wine and champagne. After that, we went to Hautvillers to see the church where Dom Perignon is buried and the making of champagne actually began. Then we drove to P. Lancelot-Royer for a short tour and wonderful champagne tastings. It was a great day and I highly recommend this tour. Suzanne was so knowledgeable and has perfect English. She helped make this an A+ tour.
