Emilie was an incredible host. Kind, VERY knowledgeable, the pace was perfect, and we felt very taken care of the whole time. Honestly, I have such a better appreciation for champagne producers now! We brought our 9 year old, and he was very welcome. Wonderful quiet and peaceful tour!
Jeanne was the perfect tour guide. Her knowledge and love of the region complimented the tour. This was the best tasting experience.
We really enjoyed the tour and our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. It was great to travel into the countryside of Champagne and visit some small, family run vineyards. I would highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic introduction to Champagne and small family growers. Thomas the guide was amazing and is very knowledgeable about the region and Reims.
Zöe was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Both the Salmon and Fagot tasting selections were excellent. I highly recommend Zöe and the tour.
Learned far more than I actually anticipated which made this tour amazing for me! Just wish it included lunch :)
We had an amazing experience on our champagne tour in Reims. Our guide, Jeanne, picked us up from the train station and was fantastic from start to finish. Our first stop was Michel Fagot, a family-owned champagne house, where we learned about the entire champagne-making process, saw the grapes up close, and got a much better understanding of how much goes into each bottle. Jeanne was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every question thoroughly while keeping the experience engaging and fun. At our second stop, we learned even more about the different methods used in Champagne, including the process for making rosé champagne using the “saignée” (bleeding) method. We also learned about what makes the Champagne region unique and why only sparkling wine produced there under specific rules can be called Champagne. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Jeanne was a 10/10 guide—knowledgeable, personable, and engaging throughout the entire day. I would absolutely recommend this tour and would happily do it again!
Nice easy morning and enjoyable visit with tastings of two small producers. Chloe was really knowledgeable about champagne production and the region.
We took a champagne tour to two small houses with Eva as our host. She was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all questions.
Very nice tour with a knowledgeable guide.
Great experience at two small family run vineyards along with tastings. We brought along our 10 year old as well and the hosts were sure to include her and were very kind. Our guide Zoey was amazing - super knowledgeable about the entire operation from vine to bottle and has grown up in a wine producing family herself. 10/10 would do again and recommend to anyone.
Outstanding from start to finish, Jerome our guide was so knowledgeable, we drank 6 different champagnes, all delicious. Beautiful small producers, excellent hosts, an all round 5 star experience!!
Really good value for money, only recommendation is being allowed to take one of the champagne tastings on the walk through the vineyard. Really enjoyed the experience!!
Easy train ride from Paris to Reims. Anne, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly. The small champagne houses were interesting and enjoyable. We had fun with our small group and Anne had some good lunch and sightseeing recommendations for places in Reims after the tour was over.
We went with Jerome to the 2 local wineries and had a great time! He was extremely knowledge about not just the wineries but the industry as a whole so was a great learning experience with the champagne breakfasts!
We had a lovely morning with Paolo, he picked us up from our apartment and drove us to the vineyard where he explained about the history of champagne, how the vines are cultivated and how the champagne is made. We were able to try the champagne. We were not rushed at all and had plenty of time before he drove us back to our apartment. We would recommend this tour
Chloe was very knowledgeable and provided a great tour. Loved the morning tour, long enough and not too long in the van, which was new and spotless.
One of a kind experience, much better than any wine tasting in the world. Going in the caves where champagne are aged is awesome. The views of the Vinyard is spectacular. Tasting several fine champagne is definitely the highlight.
Everything about the tour worked well. Gerome is highly knowledgeable about the region’s history and wine making. The venues were lovely and prompt me to come again when I have more time. I enjoyed learning how to e a more informed consumer of champagne. Credit to Gerome and his colleagues.
Tour of family champagne growers It was exactly as described. Very pleasant great value. Second time we have done this tour.
Susanne , our champagne connoisseur and tour guide was Amazing ! Highly recommend this morning tour ! We had two stops , where we sat and tasted different flavours and aromas !!! You need 3 things to make your holiday great : Sussane’s patience and love for Champagne’s culture , a little walk in the vineyards under the blue sky and a cold and fresh, Delicious glass of champagne!
Easy meeting point to start tour and Guide was friendly and authentic knowledge based on working in the industry. The 2 small family producer visits were each unique and interesting. Appreciate the comparative experience we would not have found on our own easily. The tasting and education portions were well-timed offering the right amount of time to enjoy the caves and sip champagne. Having the opportunity to meet the house owners was a nice part of the tour. And who doesn’t love champagne for breakfast?!
Great to get out of the city and visit two small champagne producers near Epernay. Anne our guide was fantastic and so knowledgeable, making the whole tour incredibly interesting and fun. A fascinating insight into the champagne making process at a family business level. A small tour group made an intimate friendly experience thoroughly enjoyable. And the champagne…. Superb! Would definitely book with them and ask for Anne as our guide again.
Great experience! We had the tour with Thomas, who shared lots of useful information about the champagne-making process. The whole tour was very well organized; we left right on time and returned (a bit tipsy) with new memories and curiosities about the world of champagne :) The only thing I’d add would be a small snack to accompany the champagne tasting… Apart from that, I definitely recommend the experience!
Julie our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We learned a lot and enjoyed lots of delicious champagne. It was an excellent tour. Worth the money.
Book your group together otherwise you can be separated. Very knowledgeable guide. Two great small production champagne houses. Have your guide drop you by the Reims Cathedral if you have time after the tour. So beautiful! Great restaurants across the street from the cathedral for lunch.
The tour was great. Our guide; Thomas was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable. He explained the wine making process and the entire local industry in a way that was interesting to the entire group even though only a couple of us had a true wine interest. The entire experience was interesting, well paced, and the champagnes we sampled were nothing short of fantastic. Definitely would recommend!
Very up close and personal guided tour with an expert wine educator, Jerome, with excellent English. We enjoyed this tour immensely. The wineries were welcoming and had a wide variety of different wines to sample. Everything we tasted was excellent. We will do this tour again.
Great experience with Julie! Beautiful scenery, good champagne and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing tour!! Our guide Eitian was so knowledgeable and personable. I enjoyed both of the growers, learned a lot and tasted some great champagne!!
We went on this Champagne tour on my mums birthday as a 60th birthday present. The tour was absolutely fantastic and our tour guide Jerome was brilliant. He was very informative, answered all our questions and was a pleasure to interact with. We couldn’t recommend the tour any more and think it was great value for money.
Martin from A la Française Tours gave us a great tour of two small family owned Champagne producers. He covered the complete production process. Very knowledgeable and passionate guide. We enjoyed two tastings including over 6 different Champagnes. The van was comfortable and air conditioned. He was also a great driver. A very nice way to explore the Champagne region!
The tour was really good. We enjoyed that we got to visit two small, familyowned houses. The guide had good knowledge and was suitable for the job. We can recommend this tour.
Did the morning tour with Suzanne. Excellent tour, she was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Superb selection in the two vineyards. Transport was clean and quiet. Highly recommended.
Great introduction to Champagne vineyards and winemaking. Tour guide Etienne is very knowledgeable, friendly, and a great host. Well worth the time and expense.
Lovely way to experience the lesser known houses. Good knoweldgeable guide and nice people. A small group which was excellent.
We reserved a morning tour of several champagne producer estates. Now, after about ten days, I can say it was one of the best experiences we had in the beautiful Reims and its surroundings. Everything just clicked on that tour. A great group, pleasant weather, lovely estates of smaller champagne producers, and, in the end, an outstanding guide, Thomas B. (I didn’t catch his last name). Thomas is simply a perfect guide who turned an ordinary tour into an unforgettable trip. His vast knowledge and experience about everything related to champagne and wine production, as well as the many insights about the city of Reims and its surroundings, gave the tour an elevated level. So, thank you to him for all his effort. Full recommendation for the tour.
Great tour that does not last too long. Two different wineries and we had a great tour guide Suzanne.
Great time with Jerome. Was just us and a nice young couple from Prague. Our train was late but Jerome waited for us went to Le Clos Corbier for Domaine Mea and Collard-Milesi then up to the vineyards for a view and ended Picart-Thiout before heading back to Rheims. Great morning trip
A wonderful experience to see smaller hidden gems in the Champagne region. Suzanne was so knowledgeable and friendly and I enjoyed learning about the champagne process. The two houses we went to were fantastic and it was, in my opinion, better to see family houses versus the bigger commercial ones. Communication was clear, we didn’t feel rushed, and of course, the champagne was delicious 🥂
Beautiful vineyards and good informative tour. Our guide was quite knowledgable and warm. Tour started on time.
Fantastic tour! The champagnes were excellent and really varied, and the tour guide (Martin) was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. An absolute must for anyone visiting Reims.
Super excellent tour. I had been to Michel Fagots winery on another tour but this one gave me significantly more information and enjoyment. Julie had so much wine and champagne knowledge and she really taught us how to appreciate and understand the champagne process. She has loads of top tips for Rheims as well. Wonderful and would highly recommend
An outstanding tour of Champagne. Chloe was a superb and knowledgeable tour guide. We visited two producers and tasted 6 different wines.
It is not only a champaign tour to two very friendly producers but as well a tour through time - the guide knew the 2000 years of known history around Reims very well.
Very knowledgeable guild that has a great sense of humor. Clohe is a wonderful guild. We enjoyed the other members of our group it was a comfortable way to spend the morning.
Excellent tour, Jerome was a star and super informative and engaging! we visited 2 family growers and tasted lots of glasses of exquisite champagne. Lunch was so delicious and they even took us back to our hotel! 100% recommended and I will definitely book some of the other tours in France!
Anne was an excellent host and guide. Having worked in the region for many years, her experience and knowledge were exceptional. The tour itself was fantastic getting to visit smaller family owned Champagne houses with a small group.I would highly recommend her tour.
This is awesome and highly recommended. The guide Anne was a gem. She explained history of region to
