Highly recommend this tour, not only were the stops so gorgeous and the champagnes delicious, but the tour guide - Alvaro - was so friendly and knowledgeable. He really made the trip so amazing, and we learned so much about the vineyards, region, and production, while visiting many nice places and drinking amazing champagnes. My friend and I had the best time on this tour and enjoyed every part of it.

Had a fantastic day. Alvaro was very informative and helpful. We really enjoyed our day with him
We had a very good time tasting champagne from three champagne houses in and around Epernay. The guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his experiences with our group.
A fantastic experience with an excellent guide. Lots of lovely opportunities for tasting and a great group.
We had a fabulous day visiting three boutique champagne houses with an exceptionally knowledgeable and informative guide (Alvaro). During the day Alvaro explained the champagne making process, took us to the church where Dom Perignon is buried as well as a drive through Epernay. We visited three producers, tasted 10 champagnes and two liqueurs and had a beautiful lunch in a village restaurant. All in all one of the best things I have done.
Awesome trip, highly recommended. Our guide Alvaro was incredible. Looking forward to doing again.
We had a fabulous day with a very knowledgeable guide. Lots of tastings and beautiful views.
Alarm was the most amazing guide. Very welcoming and walked us through all the processes. We learnt a lot about Champagne. Thankuou for giving us a fantastic day.
Wow wow wow!! Such an intimate experience, our guide Alvaro was so knowledgeable and friendly. All the champagnes were fantastic and we had such an incredible experience. Expensive but worth it
We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Alvaro, was brilliant — extremely knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. He answered all of our questions with great enthusiasm, and his lovely sense of humour made the day even more enjoyable. He made us feel that no question was ever a silly one! We certainly got our fill of champagne during the tasting, and the lunch was superb. Everything was well organised and we had a wonderful time from start to finish. Thank you, Alvaro, for making it such a memorable experience!
Excellent tour to three smaller Champagne Houses, two of which were independents. Champagnes were all quite good. Our tour guide, Alvaro was very knowledgeable having grown up in wine making in the Bordeaux region. He did an outstanding job of curating the tour experience and was great to talk with. There were only two couples on this tour (we are from the US and the other couple from Scotland). We had a delightful time together. The small cafe we stopped at for lunch was also quite good and the food was rather tasty. I highly recommend this as a tour to take when in Reims. This was our second champagne tour in Reims over two days and we’d do it again!
Radames, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and fun! We had a great time and learned a lot about the history and making of champagne. Enjoyed especially that it was geared more towards the smaller houses. Would definitely recommend this tour!
The tour was a great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about making champagne and got to see some beautiful vineyards.
This was a very enjoyable tour. Our guide was professionally knowledgeable which makes a big difference. Alvaro knew all about the production of wine from vineyard to bottle and hadn’t just learned a script. He was informative and engaging with all of us on the tour. We enjoyed many tastings over the course of the day and learned much about the production of champagne. Many thanks Alvaro. (As a suggestion, it may be useful to suggest customers bring some neutral snacks such as bread sticks or provide them to try to help with clearing the palate between tastings.)
Alvaro was an excellent your guide and made it a great day for our small group. The private grower experience was special and much better than our tours of bigger houses.
What a great day!! Rodimus was informative, personable and went above and beyond what was expected. We learnt so much visiting smaller houses. The champagne was exceptional.
What a fab day! Alvaro met us centrally in Reims and was an excellent guide for the day. He was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke excellent English. We visited three boutique vineyards and tried several fantastic champagnes at each one. We had a good lunch which was included in Epernay, visitied the tomb of Dom Perignon and learnt so much about the region, its produce, the industry and rules about the production of champagne. He also gave a fab restaurant recommendation in central Reims. Highly recommend, it was perfect for what we wanted and Alvaro surpassed all expectations. Have already recommended to friends and family.
Our tour consisted of 7 guests plus our guide+driver, Radames. Our van was modern and clean. We were amazed at Radames' knowledge. He explained the geology of Champage, the history of the drink, and details about each place we visited. Those places were a combination of Champagne houses, famous buildings, and historic villages. Radames organized three Champagne house visits, including cellar tours. We went from a small, to a medium, to a medium-large producer to get a feel at each size. He had commentary at all places. He's apparently quite trusted -- he sometimes let us in and performed the tastings. Lunch was provided at a small cafe, and was quite good. Radames gave clear and detailed descriptions, since his is from the USA. Overall, well-organized and impeccably conducted. Definitely a tour and guide I would recommend.
This was the most enjoyable tour we've been on Radames was a pleasure to spend the day with. He took us to real authentic champagne houses family owned and operated. His knowledge and delivery was very much appreciated. We definitely recommend this company for the real authentic champagne tour 1000 fois merci Radames ! Gilles and Christiane
This day trip was our favorite day of our trip! We visited the larger Champagne houses on our own, so we were really glad that we chose this tour to visit multiple smaller, family-owned local growers. We had the best experiences learning about the houses, the Champagne process and the families behind it all. Our tour guide was amazing, sharing a lot of information and stories of the region. At one of the Champagne houses, we were given the opportunity to 'saber' a Champagne bottle (open it with a saber/sword) - it was such a unique experience that we will be telling our friends and families about our whole lives!
Great tour ! Alvaro was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and witty. The three champagne houses were wonderful, lunch was great. Relaxing and not rushed.
Radames was AMAZING!!! Very knowledgeable about the Champagne region and how Champagne is produced. I learned a lot from him. Towards the end of our first tasting, I could feel the beginnings of my sugar dropping. When we got to our lunch spot, he was very quick to make sure that I got the Coke I ordered to help raise my sugar. He was a wonderful translator between us and the growers (and lunch spot) we visited. He was also very prompt with keeping us on schedule. I hope upon my next return to France that I will be able to take a different tour with him. 100/10 would recommend.
We had a great day! We now know so much more about the science and culture of champagne making which has added to our appreciation of this wonderful tradition. Our guide, Rod, was a fountain of knowledge and looked after us superbly. Highly recommend.
The tour guide, Rod, kept saying we needed to be in a hurry and often was rushing us to move on. He also spent too much time letting us know how much he knew about champagne and took us to see too many vats. That said, the tastings themselves and the champagne houses we went to were very nice. We wanted to order Champagne at the first house, however, he was in too much of a hurry and made us leave. The lunch was supposed to be "gourmet", however, while it was ok, it was not gourmet.
The tour was incredibly educational and provided a deep dive into the region's history, though it did feel a bit long at points. Our guide was very knowledgeable, if a bit long-winded, which led to some repetitive segments throughout the day. For instance, we visited the cellars of several different wineries, but received nearly the identical technical explanation at each stop. While the information was interesting the first time, we would have much preferred spending that extra time interacting with the locals, tasting the wines, and just hanging out to soak in the atmosphere. If you want an educational tour of the mechanics and history, this is for you. If you’re looking for something more social, i’d book something less.
Our guide Radames picked us up promptly from outside the rail station and gave us an informative commentary as we drove through Reims, Épernay and between the three wine makers. For lunch, we stopped at a restaurant in Epernay for a plat. During the trip we learned about the champagne making process and how the industry has evolved. We saw the vats and cellars and some older wine making paraphernalia to whet the appetite of engineers. The last winery was probably the best, not sure if that’s because of the host, the fact that the wines were organic or due having spent the day tasting a number of very agreeable champagnes. It’s a full day with good balance of scenic driving and visits to the wineries.
This tour was exactly what I was seeking for my Champagne experience, with visits to small family operated wineries and an excellent lunch midday. Our guide, Radames, was the perfect blend of being knowledgable, engaging, fun, and kind. Loved learning all about the process, seeing all the tools, wandering the cellars, and most of all tasting the end result! Highly recommend this day tour!
This was a great tour. It was very informative. The guide Radames Pers was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.
The tour is excellent value for money. Our guide, Radames, was excellent and had a very good knowledge of the history of the area and champagne.
I had a perfect day with a very knowledgeable and kind guide, Radames. The tour exceeded my expectations. I fully recommend.
Brilliant day! Our driver was local and took us through both family wineries and the champagne tasting experience. We learned so much and thoroughly recommend the experience.
Pierre was an excellent tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the champagne process and answered all of our questions. He was friendly with and respected by the local champagne makers. We had a wonderful day traveling around the countryside and vineyards.
Radames was very friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the stops the tour and the tasting. Never felt pressured to purchase anything.
Wonderful tour of family owned champagne houses. Beautiful French countryside tour with an amazing lunch in Epernay. Entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide. Thanks Pierre, such a great day!
We had great time! The experience was very informative and the views were amazing! Radames our tour guide shared some great highlights of the champagne world and we enjoyed some vey tasty bottles. We’ll be back!!
Mire focused on champagne tasting. Not much on photo taking of the scenery. Champagne houses introduced were good. Lunch was in a modern restaurant. Good quality food. But I personally prefer traditional French restaurant.
We had a lovely time! Pierre was a wonderful tour guide and the champagne was delicious! We stopped for a great lunch as well, and the history and rolling hills of the region were beautiful!
Radames was the best tour guide ever! We appreciated his clear diction in English so we could easily understand all of his expertise in Champagne and how to make it! The tour was the perfect way to spend the day and included a fabulous lunch! I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Radames!
Pierre, our guide was excellent! We visited 2 small wines makers, and tested lots lots of champagnes . The drive through the Champagne countryside was really scenic and comfortable.
In the end we had a fun day but that was mostly because of the group we were with. Our tour guide wasnt speaking English properly so it was really difficult for us to understand what she was saying en I dont think she had a lot of knowledge about the history of the wine houses en the wine making in general. besides that, the tour was fun and well planned. We got to taste many champagne en we visited a lot of nice places. I would recommend this tour. Value for money we would say it was a little on the expensive side.
Small group (7) and such a fun day. Our guide was Pierre and he was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited two small producers and tasted far more champagne than we were expecting!! First stop was at Pierre Morlet to visit the cellars and learn about the production. Mr Morlet himself showed us round and then took great pride in sharing his fizz (delicious). What was meant to be a quick lunch stop turned into a long pause over a few glasses as our small group became good friends - and then off to the final stop - another small producer using more modern techniques. Again - plenty of tasting! Would definitely recommend this tour if you like champagne, meeting new friends and having a good old giggle 🥂
Radames was incredible, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the champagne region, and all aspects of champagne making. An absolutely delicious lunch and a relaxing tour through independent champagne houses all day! 1000% recommend this tour.
Excellent overview of champagne, and the growing methods and great tastings. The guide was excellent and very informative and really seem to know what he was talking about with champagne. I learned a lot.
My husband, "Papa Bear," and I had a marvelous Champagne Day Tour and Tasting tour with Pierre of France Intense. We were met in front of the Reims train station tourist office by Pierre and two delightful tourists from Sydney, Australia. We climbed into the very nice Mercedes van and rode over to the nearby Veuve Clicquot, a famous champagne house that not all touring groups have access to. The tour and tasting were on our bucket list, and this was the reason we selected this tour. It was a marvelous experience! It was very polished, touristy, and corporate, but delightful. After that, Pierre was in charge, sharing his intimate knowledge of the area and his impeccable English. He took us inside the cathedral and drove us to lunch at a little-known cafe in a charming village. There, Pierre ordered for us and paid for the lunch; the basic price was included in the tour cost and we added extras at our expense. Then Pierre took us to an out-of-the-way champagne house in another small village. Piere obviously knew the proprietors of these local businesses well and that made the experience special. Although we initially were drawn to the trip for the Veuve Clicquot experience, the small, non-touristy locations were also lovely, making this tour especially memorable. We have taken tours all over France in the past three weeks, learning that each is different. In some cases, the driver was merely that, a chauffeur with a nice vehicle who took us on a private tour, just us, to scheduled appointments and waited in the car while we tasted and/or noshed. In other instances, a driver was paired with a knowledgeable guide who led a large group on a bus tour. We prefer the France Intense example with the driver-guide taking a small group (in our case, four people), on an intimate tour of the area. Thank you, Pierre!
Great experience, tour guide was great! Beautiful sightseeing and the little town is beautiful!!!!!!
Excellent tour with France Intense. Our guide was knowledgeable and we visited several small family champagne makers. Lunch was excellent. There are so many champagne tours, but I would not hesitate to book this one.
Could not have asked for a better day! Our guide ,Radames was fantastic. So knowledgeable about the region, history of the area and of course, Champagne! We had a a beautiful day, learned a lot, GREAT tastings, lunch spot was the best meal of our trip to the area. Van was super comfortable and clean. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn about the history of champagne and truly understand what goes into making a great product.
Radames was amazing, so knowledgeable and personable. I felt like a friend shared their favorite places and glasses of bubbly with me. A bonus for being a solo traveler. Merci!
It’s such a pleasant tour with Ramades, who is so knowledgeable and such a gentleman. We tour in Reims and Épernay and he introduces many histories. Also visited two wineries with joyful tasting. The lunch is also very good
Wonderful tour with an excellent tour guide! Radames was very knowledgeable about the champagne region in general and informative with regard to the wineries we visited. Thank you Radames!
