Best Western Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel

Excelent location, amenities and staff. I haven’t slept this good in a while thanks to the comfy bed and sheets. Breakfast is amazing to say the least. There was even fresh honey directly from the honeycomb and three types of coffee to cater to all.

A lovely hotel right across from the bay. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hotel is very clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning our room thoroughly every day. Our room was spacious and featured a large wardrobe, a sofa bed, and a small balcony with a partial sea view. The bathroom was perfectly fine and had a lovely rain shower. Unfortunately, the TV is not a Smart TV, although there are channels from various countries available. The air conditioning worked perfectly, even with the very high temperatures outside. The bed was unfortunately not the most comfortable and was a little too small for our liking. In some places, you could actually feel the metal springs through the mattress. On the positive side, there was a great selection of different pillows to choose from. There was only one large duvet, but additional wool blankets were available in the wardrobe. The room also had a kettle and a refrigerator. The electric blackout blinds worked perfectly and completely darkened the room, which was great for sleeping.There were at least four power outlets, with different connection options suitable for devices from both Europe and the USA. The hotel is located directly next to a roundabout, so the area can be somewhat busy and noisy. However, the windows are very good, and we were able to sleep peacefully without being disturbed by traffic noise or outside light. The hotel staff can arrange parking for your car in a nearby garage, which was very convenient. Breakfast was okay, although we felt that there could have been a little more choice of fresh vegetables, such as peppers and tomatoes. There was a good selection of fresh fruit and sweet dishes, including cakes, as well as different cereals and muesli. The choice of cheese was somewhat limited, as there was no sliced cheese such as Gouda or Emmental. Scrambled eggs were included, but omelettes were not. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have its own swimming pool. There is an arrangement with a nearby pool provider, but the day pass is quite expensive — for example, around €60 per day for two people. We also found the nearby bay a little disappointing for swimming, as the water and surrounding area did not seem particularly clean during our stay. Overall, the hotel is clean and very centrally located. There are beautiful and romantic restaurants and cafés right on the doorstep. The area offers plenty of culinary highlights, from delicious pasta and pizza to a wonderful selection of sweets and pastries. You can also find fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as lots of lovely little local treats. We would particularly like to recommend the small bakery „Panificio Le Pellegrine“ It is definitely worth stopping by! Milan is also within easy reach, making it possible to take a day trip to this beautiful fashion capital. We would happily return to this hotel, although for us, one or two nights would be ideal, as there is no direct and quiet swimming spot nearby. The entire hotel team was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We had a wonderful time and would like to sincerely thank the whole hotel staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Arrivederci :)

We spent 4 nights at this hotel in a room with a partial sea view and we were extremely satisfied! The room was modernly decorated, featuring a large shower, two TVs, and even an Alexa device. Everything was kept immaculately clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. ​The breakfast area is absolutely stunning, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, the food was delicious! Highly recommended and we would gladly return ​

Perfect location and excellent base to explore Liguria Coast. Superior in all regards compared with places in Cinque Terre. Many good restaurants just around corner. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had… especially the freshly made Pesto source! Staff is all friendly and helpful.
