Visit of the Mausoleum Mohamed V: Masterpiece of Moroccan Architecture Discover the elegance and serenity of the Mohamed V Mausoleum, an emblematic monument of Rabat. This masterpiece of traditional Moroccan architecture houses the tombs of King Mohamed V and his sons, King Hassan II and Prince Moulay Abdallah. Admire the magnificent mosaics, the brilliantly white marbles, and the carved wooden ceiling, symbol of fine Moroccan craftsmanship. Immerse yourself in the history and spirituality of this sacred place, where homage to the past blends with the timeless beauty of Moroccan art.
Visit to Hassan Tower: Symbol of Almohad Greatness Hassan Tower, an iconic monument of Rabat, is an unfinished masterpiece of the 12th century. This majestic minaret, originally designed to be the largest in the world, testifies to the ambition of the Almohad dynasty. Surrounded by stone columns, remains of an unfinished mosque, the tower offers a fascinating glimpse of traditional Islamic architecture. Immerse yourself in the history of this unique building, whose imposing silhouette dominates the city and invites contemplation.
The Royal Palace of Rabat, known as Dar al-Makhzen, is much more than just a royal residence; it is the nerve centre of the Moroccan monarchy. Built in 1864, it embodies the richness of Moroccan architecture with its ornate gates, majestic walls and extensive, carefully maintained gardens. Although access to the public is limited, the grandeur of the palace is evident from the entrance, where the esplanade, often used for official ceremonies, impresses with its scale and beauty. This place is not only a residence, but a symbol of continuity and royal tradition in Morocco.
Visit of the Oudaya Kasbah: A Journey into the History of Rabat The Kasbah of the Oudayas, a real jewel of Rabat, is a fortified district full of charm and history. Perched on the heights, it offers spectacular views of the Bouregreg estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. This historic site is home to narrow alleyways lined with whitewashed houses and peaceful gardens. The Kasbah was a refuge for dynasties, including the Almohads and Merinids. As you walk around, you will discover its unique atmosphere, decorated doors and architectural treasures, between history, art and Moroccan culture.

Provides a fairly good overview of the city's history and major sites, although the visits are brief. The tour was shorter than advertised and did not cover the itinerary in full, and one site (the mausoleum) was closed due to renovations - although we were told it was for a private visit. If you're keen on seeing everything, go over the itinerary at the start of the tour, stress which sites are must-sees, and ask what alternative sites can be visited if some are closed.
For this experience we were picked up & taken to our first point of interest where we teamed up with our multilingual tour guide who was full of great local knowledge. We really enjoyed this one as it made it much easier to orient ourselves to where we were staying & Rabat city generally. The main city locations were included & the period of the tour was generous: he avoided the tourist buses & crowds. It was great value for money. Would we recommend this one to our fellow travellers: a solid yes from us two seasoned OS traveller’s. We rate this as a solid 4.5/5. Thanks, GreyNomads
Superb tour of Rabat, great communication on pickup from our hotel. Ibrahim our guide was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and we had really interesting conversations throughout our time.
Excelent tour. Yousseff, our tour guide explained everything exceptionally well at a pace we could all absorb. He was very patient and funny. Never rushed us. Answered all our questions. Really made us feel extremely comfortable. The car was really good (sent us a min bus for 8 of us). Highly recommend this.
Transportation with Ahmed was comfortable, efficient, and punctual. Our guide, Abdul, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recomiended.
We were met by our diver at our Riad who walked us from inside the Medina to our transport which was clean and comfortable. Our Guide, Noureddine, was right on time at our first stop. He was quite knowledgeable and informative at all the stops. He provided wonderful local color and stories and is a true lover of history. My friends and I could not stop talking about what a wonderful guide that he was! He actually went above and beyond by sending me links to cooking shows and cookbooks as we spent a little bit of time talking about Moroccan cooking. My phone had died, but he took my number and texted me later in the evening as promised! If you are lucky enough to get Noureddine as your guide, I’m sure that you will also have a wonderful day just like we did! A+++
The guide did not take us inside to see the Chellah ruins even though the tour advertised it. I was very disappointed.
The tour was great; the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. The tour was a great experience.
Pickup and all arrangements were very well organized and worked perfectly. Our tour guide was very kind and knew her way around Rabat extremely well, also giving us the opportunity to adjust the tour according to our special interests. Thank you very much for this wonderful tour around Rabat.
Excellent guide and driver and Rabat is charming city , the weather in March was fabulous. Will come back soon
Had a fabulous private tour with Ahmed, our guide, and a lovely driver (unfortunately did not get his name). Clean and roomy vehicle, very safely driven. Ahmed was not only knowledgeable but also charming and funny. He was fluent in English and easily understood. Well worth the price we paid for a 3 hour private tour. Highly recommend.
Rabat is beautiful! I only spent half a day but looking back, I should have stayed for a full day. Our guide spoke good English and is knowledgeable of history.
It was a great morning that gave me a nice overview of the city and some of the wonderful historic and culturally important sites. My guide was super knowledgeable! I learned a lot through our conversations. I highly recommend this for anyone but particularly for people who want to start their visit with a solid foundation!
The tour was very good and took us to the main tourist sites of Rabat. Our tour guide, Abdul, was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. He made us feel at ease right away. We didn't find that the tour was great value for money. We did a similar tour in Casablanca earlier in the week (private tour booked through Viator) and it was almost half the cost and ran for about 3.5 hours. This one was about 2.5 hours. We wish there was a shared tour option in Rabat but we only saw various private tours on Viators website. You might want to add some communal tour options to your offerings.
Good travel company, contacted me in time. Limo was clean and comfortable. Driver Mohammed arrived on time and made us a pleasing trip all the way. Guide Betty very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Rabat is a quiet and clean city, different from many other cities in Morocco, we really enjoyed the tour very much but just hope the time for the tour can be a little bit longer, we would like to have some more time to explore the places of attractions such as Chellah, Oudaya and Medina.
Wonderful tour guide and driver. On time, very helpful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared information in an engaging and interesting way. Would definitely recommend.
Great tour of the major sites of Rabat by Abdul. He not only covered these well, but also provided excellent background on the history and culture of Rabat & Morocco. Apart from the advertised sites we also visited the historic Andalusia gardens in the Kasbah as well as a lovely stop in a historic local tea house in the Kasbah overlooking the river. Abdul’s English was really good as he works a lot with English speaking clients. We were picked up initially by his driver and taken to the first historic site. Abdul used his driver a few more times to take us efficiently from place to place - always close by when we needed him. Would highly recommend this tour.
I had a fantastic private tour experience! Mohamed The guide was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease from the start. He ensure I had a great time, his positive attitude really made the experience enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Very informative and super nice driver. Perfectly on time and well organized. Some places were closed for unfortunately.
Driver was early (this was a good thing) and let us know as soon as he arrived. After a short drive into town we met Mohamed who took us through lots of places in the city of Rabat. Started at Hasan Tower which was terrific and then to the Royal Palace for an in depth description of the guards, the grounds and the ongoings within the area. Later in the Medina we were able to do some shopping and see the city center with someone who really knows the city. Recommended for first timers or those who have not had the opportunity to see the city in detail.
The visit is very interesting and well conducted, the guide is the real plus, a cultured and interesting person.
I did two tours and I can absolutely recommend the company , everything went perfectly well, I could see everything I wanted to see!!! Thank you very much and see you soon!! Superb service!!!
Punctual and professional driver. Our Ahmid guide was knowledgeable, helpful and affable and gave us a lot of information about the places visited as well as a lot of advice about the city in general. It was an absolutely pleasant experience that allowed us to immediately understand how to move around the city. I also point out the kindness and sympathy of Ahmid who immediately put us at ease.
The tour of Rabat was great! We had a wonderful day with our driver and the guide, who not only reproduced Rabat's story very well but also knew how to tell exciting stories and gave important background information about life in Morocco.
We just visited the city of Rabat with my husband and 3 children. Everything was perfect, the pick-up, the ride, the guide, the history, the different stages were all respected it was even beyond my expectations. I really recommend this agency very serious and professional. Especially since we had visited Tangier 2 days before with another agency it was catastrophic. But with this experience in Rabat I realize that there are serious and passionate people. I wish you every success.
Ahmed has been with us all afternoon. Very helpful and nice. We discovered Rabat with him. I recommend it.
It was wonderful. Good driver and nice guide. Highly recommended. It was great. Must do when visiting Rabat. Don't look for anyone else.
An extraordinary and interesting experience. You'd draw a Guide of Ten in all respects. Very good organization. We have learned and enjoyed a lot. Thank you very much to the driver.
