Absolutely amazing, the property is stunning, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The excursions were very good and informative. Food was mostly good. Massage good.

Day 1
1
Departing from Quito, embark on a journey to immerse yourself in the wonders of the jungle and experience the lifestyle, traditions, and beliefs of the Kichwa Culture. En route to Tena, our spanish - speaking driver will make stops, weather permitting, to marvel at the Antisana volcano, Papallacta lake, and Guacamayos viewpoint, adding extra charm to your adventure
At 4100 meters above sea level, if the clouds part, you can capture stunning photos with the majestic Antisana Volcano as your backdrop. As we journey onwards to Tena city, our route offers numerous picturesque spots perfect for making lasting memories. Feel free to request stops along the way, and our driver will gladly accommodate, ensuring you capture the beauty of each moment along your journey.
Puerto Misahualli, much like Playa de los Monos, is nestled at the confluence of the Misahuallí and Napo rivers. Renowned for its breathtaking jungle vistas and vast sandy beach, this serene locale captivates tourists. Yet, the real allure of Misahualli lies in its resident monkeys. These lively creatures roam the beach and wander into the town's central park, enchanting visitors with their playful antics.
Upon arrival at the Ecolodge, our staff will assist with your luggage for the approximately 10-minute walk from the Pusuno River to the Reception Ecolodge. Our expedition leader and native guides are ready to kick off your journey with us. Here are some of the main activities and experiences we offer: night walks, river excursions, kayaking on the lagoon, and spa therapies featuring jungle medicinal plants. Feel free to combine these activities as you wish. Each evening, you'll meet with your guide to plan your time with us or add more optional activities or adventure sports. If you have any specific requests, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to help! After you've had time to relax, join us at the restaurant for a Welcome Lunch before we embark on a jungle walk with our native guide.
Embark on a trekking adventure in the jungle along the Giant Ceibo Trail. Your guide will lead you through half a dozen trails, each varying in difficulty and duration, ranging from half an hour to 4 hours. These trails wind through the dense and humid rainforest, connecting to the river or lake. You'll traverse muddy paths while keeping an eye out for the elusive fauna of the area. Don't forget to bring your long socks to wear with the rubber boots and sandals for a comfortable journey!
After the jungle guided walk, return to the Ecolodge to change into swimming attire before heading to the river beach for a tubing adventure. Don't forget to bring your sandals! The cool water provides a refreshing respite after hiking in the jungle. Floating down the river on a tube, your hand-rowing skills will be put to the test. With the sky above and tree-lined banks beside you, it feels like stepping into a dream. Whether you embark on this adventure solo or with a partner, it promises tranquility and serenity—a peaceful way to enjoy the Amazon river.
At 7:30 PM, dinner is served. After dinner, prepare your flashlight and camera for a thrilling night excursion. Experience the wonders of sharing the same space with nocturnal animals. Encounter owls, fishing bats, tarantulas, snakes, and frogs, among other fascinating creatures of the Amazon Rainforest.
Day 2
2
After breakfast, prepare with the rubber boats provided by the lodge as we embark on a forest walk and cross the river to reach the Napo River.
Once at the Napo River, we'll travel by canoe. This boat trip offers a mesmerizing journey through the Amazon Rainforest, as we navigate along a river that winds through the jungle like a giant snake. The Napo River is considered the main system of Pacha Mama (Mother Earth), showcasing the magic and beauty of the Amazon.
First, we will visit Amazoonico, a sanctuary dedicated to protecting various Amazon animals, including some endangered species. Unlike a traditional zoo, Amazoonico serves as a rescue center for Amazon animals in Ecuador. Here, we can observe these animals up close in environments that mimic their natural habitats, allowing for a more immersive and educational experience.
Continuing by canoe, we'll arrive at "Anaconda Island." Here, we'll have the opportunity to observe fascinating wildlife, including the prehistoric bird, the "Hoatzin," as well as woolly monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and more.
After Box Lunch, experience an intimate visit to an indigenous family on Isla Anaconda and delve into their jungle way of life. The matriarch of the Kichwa Family warmly welcomes guests, offering insights into cooking, domestic techniques, and community traditions. Learn about their day-to-day practices as she shares stories and wisdom. Witness the men demonstrating hunting with a blow-dart – test your skill and aim at the monkey target if you dare!
It's mesmerizing to watch the indigenous woman skillfully mold clay from the riverbed into delicate little bowls. During this encounter, a local will demonstrate how their community creates crockery from natural materials found in the forest, showcasing the techniques used to seal and decorate them. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase these beautifully crafted items as souvenirs. Afterward, we'll return by canoe to the Eco-Lodge.
In our pursuit of enhancing your well-being, we've introduced a new menu featuring healthy snacks. Refresh yourself in our shallow pool with fresh juices and cocktails made from local products. Alternatively, indulge in one of our specialized treatments offered by our masseurs to recharge your batteries. Please note that drinks and massages are not included in the package. Afterward, enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3
3
Today, we start with a special farewell breakfast before walking to the nearby Cacao Farm.
Indulge in our Chocolate Tour, where you'll discover that chocolate indeed grows on trees – cacao trees, to be precise. The Ecuadorian Amazon, one of the earliest cultivators of this crop, provides the perfect setting for this activity. During the tour, you'll learn to identify cacao pods and witness how they are harvested, opened, and their precious beans extracted. Local experts will guide you through the processes that transform these natural wonders into the rich, bittersweet indulgence we all love. You can coordinate the transfer to Tena City at the reception or Ecolodge.
Tour Finish in Tena City The Tena City is also very well suited to make the famous loop Quito - Amazon - Baños (or reverse). A huge advantage for travellers who want to continue southwards through Ecuador as you will not have to return to Quito.

The tour is 2 nights at Suchi Pakari Lodge in Ecuador’s Amazon Jungle. Ask for room 205, a unique glass-walled tree-house high above the resort, with three terraces, and tree-top jungle views everywhere you look The lodge is a full-service jungle wilderness adventure base with múltiple daily activities with 3 meals Per day, a nice pool and bar, good internet and electricity throughout. Surprisingly few pest insects Activities were boat rides, animal and plant exploration hikes, waterfall hike, animal preserve trip, native culture center, making chocolate from cacao beans. The hikes require at least average fitness. Meals are served buffet style with group seating. I am a solo traveler and made new friends easily.
This was a wonderful introduction to the Amazon Jungle from Ecuador! I had a blast as a solo traveler, however, if I were to do it again, I would book with family or friends to make it more memorable. All meals covered by them are extremely good and satisfying!
We had so much fun learning about the way of life in the Amazon. Our guide Brian made the jungle come alive by connecting plants we saw on walks with practical uses by the indigenous family that we visited. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, he was patient, engaging, and fun. The food was good, and the lodge with its surroundings was gorgeous. Be aware there is no air conditioning in the rooms, you are truly experiencing the climate of the rainforest!
This was a fun & informative way to experience the Amazon. Our guide Franco was truly amazing. We enjoyed every minute we spent with him.
The great thing is that it is clean and the guides are awesome. Our package was all inclusive and the food is not good and there are no snacks so you may go 7 hours between lunch and dinner. We bought food off the menu and saw most people doing the same. Even then, it was not great. The amount of physical exertion in the activities is underrated. Make sure you are fit! We did not get to go on the night walk because our initial schedule when booking said after dinner but at some point the guide decided before dinner and we had no clue. You do not get a schedule when you arrive. It is very vague, at least our guide was. We saw no animals except birds and insects, except in the rehab zoo. Well we did see monkeys on one excursion but only by our guide bringing food to feed them so they are trained. The caymen crocodiles are in a small lagoon owned by a family, again fed so they stay. We paid for the hot tub upgrade but it is not worth it. They have to fill it up every time you want to use it because there is no heater or jets. It is not clean. We did not use.
My family and I spent three days and two nights at this resort over New Year’s Eve. The resort was lovely. We likened it to a summer camp with cabins and activities. We were picked up from our hotel in a mini bus with four other travelers. The website should mention that this is a nearly 6 hour journey from Quito. That was the biggest downside. When we arrived at the resort, we were assigned a guide who acted like an ambassador/cruise director (Carlos) to our little group on 8 (my family of 4 and the 4 guys from the minibus trip from Quito). He helped us go to all of our activities and he took pictures of all of us on all of our excursions. His English was excellent, and he also spoke French and German. All of the activities were very enjoyable. We upgraded our two rooms to a jungle view room and a Jacuzzi room. The jungle view room was lovely Andi highly recommend the very affordable upgrade. My kids stayed in the Jacuzzi room, which was a slight improvement from the standard, but the Jacuzzi did not get much use. The swimming pool at the resort was small but clean. The tour of the nature reserve and the canoeing down the river was fun. Unfortunately, we did not go to monkey Beach but none of us were sure why that did not happen. The hotel had a NYE dinner and party that was very lively and certainly different cultural experience compared to the US or Australia.
Great experience staying at Suchipakari Rainforest Lodge. Amazing place in the deep forest. Bryan, our guide, was wonderful with knowledge of the area
Tucked in a rainforest between the deep jungle and the Andes mountains Was this delightful Eco Lodge where adventure awaited is every step. Our expert guide took us down rivers, paths, and night time Explorations passing along sage advice and indigenous insights.
I had a pleasant experience and I am glad I did the trip. The journey from Quito to the jungle lodge is 4,5 hours. The lodge accommodation is good and the staff are present but not very engaging. Our guide for the activities was thorough and good.
This trip was truly epic! We were slightly skeptical going into this due to the lack of reviews on here, but so glad we booked this. I can confirm that the pictures of the eco lodge are very accurate - the place is stunning - The actual place to research is Suchipakari Amazon Eco Lodge. There's a swimming pool & bar. But after a day of tubing or waterfall hikes, we mainly wanted to chill in the evening. Our guide, Brayan "jungle man" was so fun & knowledgable. We were also lucky to spot a couple of toucans on the 1st day, driving up to the lodge. It is a very action packed couple of days. I would advise to bring some cash - Although you can pay for extras at the lodge on card, you'll need a few dollars for tips or buying small items (boat man, amazon tribe etc.) Not sure if we got lucky, but our group size was 3 people. We stayed for an extra day and so glad we did - If you get the chance to do an extra day, theres a tour where you go to a nature reserve and waterfall. The reserve has a small island in a lake with 5 types of monkeys and we saw a sloth!!
The first two days were full of activities, but on the last day there was a so-called chocolate tour, which was nothing great. They should have included an adventure activity instead.
The lodge is on the edge of the upper Amazon basin. Brilliant accommodation. We were concerned about mosquitoes but in the end saw none. The activities were well organised by local guides with extensive knowledge. The night walk was a highlight with such a large assortment of insects spotted.
Amazing Experience! Brayan was awesome! He has great knowledge of the Amazon and a fantastic sense of humour which made the trip even better! Would definitely recommend!
Brilliant tour and we enjoyed every activity. We thought the lodge was perfect and our English speaking guide was knowledgeable
This was such a nice add onto our Galápagos trip. We enjoyed our guide Henry. The lodge was fantastic. The highlight was tubing on the river and the riverboat trip. Really enjoyed stopping at some of the local businesses. Liked the lodge and pool. Highly recommended
THIS IS THE TRIP TO TAKE!!! When I was searching for a last minute Amazon trip with coworkers, this was one of the two options. We had a few days off in Quito so I searched all over and found this on Viator. Live Ecuador Tours immediately reached out to me to go over all of the details of the trip, and were available at all times via WhatsApp. Do not think twice about booking this trip. We had Brayan as our tour guide, and Edgar as our driver, both excellent. Make sure to go to the spa with Maddy as well. If you are able to upgrade your room, that is also something you will not regret. Overall, this was one of the most magical, memorable trips and I fully recommend choosing Live Ecuador Tours.
Everything was fantastic! Hotel, Driver, Carlos the Tour Guide, food etc. Amazing experience. Thanks
Look no further! This place is absolutely incredible and truly Magical! The views, lodge, tours and staff are amazing and we loved every single moment here. There’s such a mixture of learning, exploring and experiencing all of the jungle authentically. With the river tubing, jungle hikes, visiting the indigenous families, and visiting the conversation centre. We cannot thank Bryan enough for being the BEST guide and making our trip the most memorable. He wasn’t so knowledgable, kind and an overall joy to be around! Hands down the highlight of our trip!

Our guide Brian was amazing. He grew up locally and was great at explaining how the native live and use all the plants in the jungle. I thought this itinerary sounded ambitious, but we did everything on the description. The resort was very nice as well. Definitely recommend this tour as an awesome introduction to the Amazon
I traveled from Quito to the rainforest during Ecuador's Labor Day holiday and stayed for three nights. The nature walks, canoe ride, and visit to the local community were all memorable and expertly guided. This is a true Amazon experience — far from the highway and far from anything touristy. The lodge was livelier than usual due to the national holiday, but I never felt uncomfortable. In fact, it was nice to see both local and international travelers enjoying the Amazon together. One evening, a group of guests was filming content in traditional outfits... it seemed like a cultural project. The staff made sure everyone felt at ease, and when things got a bit loud, they kindly asked the group to move their activity to the riverside beach, which they did right away. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone looking for nature, authenticity, and excellent service.
This tour was actually hosted by the Suchipakari lodge, which sits in a quite rural and isolated place. The staffs were very nice and friendly. Food were good too. Room was very nice, but without air conditioning. Fan was available though which helped a lot. The biggest issue was the communication. We were supposed to be picked up by an English-speaking guide at 8:00am, but at last minute, we were asked to leave at 5:00am without explanation. The driver who picked us up could not speak any English. According to the itinerary, the driver was supposed to stop at a few scenery places and explain to us what they are. However, due to communication issue, we only stopped at two places, and the driver took some pictures on us to fulfill his task, I guess. After 2/3 of the trip, the English-speaking guide finally hopped on and showed us the monkey beach. Our guide, Carlos was very nice and knowledgeable. He showed us different plants, gave us a night walk to see different insects. Next day he guided us to take a long (~45 minutes) forest walk to get onto the canoe. This forest walk was indeed pretty tough since it was raining pretty heavily and road condition was pretty bad: muddy, slippery, crossing the very shaky bridge. We had to do two of this walk, going there to meet the canoe, and coming back after the canoe ride. Speaking about the canoe, the driver was very experienced, I can tell. However, the life jacket was not enforced, which was extremely dangerous, given that we were traveling along the Napo River! However, I understand why some passengers did not want to wear the life jacket since they were so dirty! Overall this was an interesting experience for us. I just wish the communication could be better so we would be able to enjoy more about this trip.
This review is about the SUCHIPARK lodge the tour was on . It was empty the first night , the second they bring all these people to make some content , all of these people were p*rn actors (I don’t know who is in charge of marketing but selling a family vacation with p*rn/onlyf**S people ) they were filming everywhere, you were not able to use the pool or anything unless you wanted to be in the videos and online . Very noisy , also the activities were nothing as advertised, the “wild nature walks “ is basically a 20 min walk around the resort . Please choose other lodge and another activity’s maybe . But avoid this place .
We had great time managed to see loads of different animals and the planned experiences were great, friendly and knowledgeable staff looked after us the whole time definitely recommend. Food is all fresh and local and tastes great, sometimes being in jungle things don’t go to plan cause of weather or other things for example our boat was late and we didn’t get to do river rafting cause the river was overflown cause of the rain but we don’t blame the staff at all and they even gave us a free cocktail to apologise Side note I have really big feet (13.5 uk) not blaming the lodge but if your feet are bigger than a size 10 uk size bring your own wellies/waterproof boots you’ll need 10/10 definitely worth the money
It was a Nice place and with several activities but with very little time in the real forest and well preserved areas. The zone is very transformed into ranches and plantations so it is more a cultural than a natural experience of the selva region
It was an amazing experience in the Amazon Rainforest. We enjoyed all the wonderful activities plus the pool, dining etc.
The tour was a great experience. We were collected by a private taxi from our hotel in Quito and driven 4 1/2 hours to the lodge. When we arrived it was raining very heavily there is a five minute walk on a trail which was very muddy We were glad we had left our large suitcases At the hotel in Quito. On arrival we were given a local drink and told the times for breakfast lunch and dinner We were advised they have power cuts from 11 to 3pm and 8 to midnight which added to the experience that you were in the jungle and it was great to walk around with torches and candle lights. highly recommend the tour the naturalist guides were very knowledgeable and they made the trip memorable. Reading the comments from past guests about being hungry. We found the food was plentiful It had flavour and the chef used local ingredients you was not left hungry! The schedule is vey action packed with lots of activities throughout the day once the tour started the guides explained to you what to wear and what to expect. The only negative comment there was no clear schedule so we did not know what we were doing. A very easy fix could solve this problem by a notice board or timetable could be in your room this is the same at meal times you had no idea what the menu was. For a two night trip highly recommend did not see much wildlife You need to go deeper into the jungle and spend at least 5 days. We recommend upgrading The room to the jungle suite for the extra $50per night. The tour ended in Tena And we got the local bus back to Quito for 9 dollars pp vs a private taxi for $130
From start to finish this tour was everything we could have hoped for! Erick (driver) arrived on time and taught us so much along the way. Please note there is significant climate change from Quito to the Amazon so I definitely recommend layers! Upon arrival to the hotel in the Amazon we were greeted by our guide Brian who is clearly passionate about the work he does. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. We upgraded our room to the jacuzzi suite and there were only twin beds. Staff promptly carried down another bed for our son and turned ours into a king size bed. Lunch was delightful and the hammock on our suite was so relaxing! The tours were exactly as advertised and so informative! We especially loved the visit to anaconda island (read:no actual anacondas here) and the rescue center. Some important things to know: 1) book a massage! Seriously the best massage my husband and I have ever had. Mine was in the afternoon at 4:30 and it started raining which perfected the ambience. I did the chocolate exfoliant and massage for 90 min and my husband did a 60 min deep tissue. We have very different styles for massage and both were perfect with the same masseuse. 2) there is no power 2-6 at the resort. Both am and pm. This also means no wifi but lots of time to experience the pool and make new friends! The 2-6am was rough because it is hot with no fan. I would recommend packing a little battery operated fan for comfort! 3) bug spray! Obvious right?! I don’t mean while you are out trekking, obviously bug spray and full clothing helps. I mean at night after your shower! A majority of our bites occurred while we were sleeping but this is the Amazon so we did expect some bites and prepare! Pack Benadryl or antihistamine to help with the itch. 4) remember what a blessing it is to be able to experience this beauty! Sit on the second level of the bar and take in the beauty, watch the nature! It is hot, there are bugs, but it’s also a magical place!
the tour guides and drivers were super nice . Room was nice too ( we upgraded to jungle view ) . it was nice but if i had a chance to do it again i would not spend money on it . Breakfast was very small and very simple ( we were hungry all day ) . Lunch that we had on a tour was very poor . Dinners were good but late and we were so hungry waiting for them . prices for drinks and massages are very high for Ecuador. the tour itself…i was not too impressed with program . it would be ok for half price or if you travel solo but 2 of us paid almost 1000$ with upgraded and it felt like it was too much . the grand ceibo trail was advertised as trekking . But it was actually just a walk around hotel which was still nice but not as advertised. hotel is far away from Quito and when we arrived we still had to walk quiet a bit to the hotel . the main program was scheduled for 2nd day . While it sounded like a lot on paper , we started at 9 am and were back at 3:30 pm . Animal rescue center was nice but don’t expect that you will get to feed or play with animals. These animals are meant to be released back in a while ( some not ) . But you will not get close to them. Basically , i was not impressed with the whole arrangements and felt like it was not worth it . We travel a lot ( it was my 9th country this year ) , so i can tell the difference between quality and just what was advertised. one thing i have to mention: our tour guides : Brian and Carlos were amazing . they really tried to make it as special as they could . thank you for that . and remember: the tour will not end back in Quito . You will have to pay additional 130$ to get back which was weird. But we got an hour and a half to spend at hot springs on the way back . Also : no hot water in our room few times at all . they had power off 2 times a day and because of that we had no wifi and no hot water but because our room was high up , we did not get cold water either
We found a lot of the experience to be misrepresented. We upgraded to the jacuzzi room, but the jacuzzi was empty, we asked them to fill it, they did and it was super dirty, and then they drained it later that same night. There was also ongoing construction the entire duration of our stay, so instead of hearing the sounds of nature, we were listening to construction equipment go the whole time. Some of the outings were interesting and a cool cultural experience, others (like the chocolate "tour") just took place on the property of the hotel. Also, the food wasn't great.
No words! We loved it so much we extended our stay. Our guide Brian was the best, went above and beyond for us - took us tubing on our free day, a trip highlight for sure. Would recommend Suchipakari to anyone visiting the Ecuadorian amazon! Keep an ear out for the wild frogs 🐸
It is a wonderful treat to been guided by a person who truly loves the rain forest. After the first day (tubing, rainforest walk, nightwalk) there was a guide change: on the second day, we went with Carlos Yaku Waira for the whole day, and we did cacao/chocolate on the last day with him, too. His friendly and time-embracing style was a real treat, and he opened our eyes for the rain forest. Thanks to him for this unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Carlos and Alex were the bomb!!! From start to finish it was a wonderful, easy and well supported time. The accomodations, while not fancy, were clean, comfortable, and had a simple charm. We had a surprise visit from a tiny bat that the staff carefully and quickly relocated to the jungle. The drive down and back up to Quito with Alex was beautiful with fun stops for food and adventure. Don't miss the caverns and hot springs if you have time! Definitely grab a cheese empanada, too! Carlos is super knowledgeable and we got to learn about the jungle plants, animals and insects from a master. We thoroughly enjoyed our travel companions and the shared eating experience. We would definitely recommend and look forward to a return trip! Thanks Suchipakari. Elysa, Delilah and Viggo!
Carlos was the best guide you could get. We are interested in plants and their use in food, medicine etc and he fylly gave us answers on our trip. Ecologde was comfortable with good surroundings.
This was an awesome tour. Everything was excellent - the lodge, activities, transportation, and food. The people, especially our main guide, Brian, were friendly, informative and very attentive to our needs! I highly recommend booking this tour!
Wow, what can I say, this trip far exceeded my expectations. We were picked up from Quito in a veru comfortable car with our great driver Alex (we had the car all to ourselves, even though it was technically shared transport) and taken to Suchipakari, a little slice of paradise nestled deep into the jungle. We upgraded our room to one with a jungle view and weren’t disappointed, although the rooms with private jacuzzis also looked great. The three days were packed full of activities. The first day was literally just the two of us guests, Alex our driver and our lovely masseuse came along too! We had our own private guide Brayan who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to tell us about all the plants and creatures in the jungle. On the first day we had a pretty muddy jungle hike, river tubing and night hike. Finished off with some cocktails in the jacuzzi (sadly the swimming pool is out of action for the foreseeable). The second day included chocolate making, wildlife rescue centre, indigenous families, ceramic making and we added in some cocktails and massages also. It was a fantastic birthday and the staff did everything to help make it one to remember, in organising a birthday cake for me on the first night. All the staff on site were super friendly, our masseuses were fantastic (bamboo and hot stone!), our tour guide Brayan was very attentive and spoke great English with lots of enthusiasm. We got to meet the son of the owner of the place, Santiago who enlightened us on the history of the lodge and how the jungle has been changed in the last 30 years. Couldn’t have asked for better value for money in my opinion. I would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful time and liked the lodge, which had good food. The itinerary was great and packed with lots of activities. Brian, our guide, was awesome and shared a ton of great history and information. Drivers were great and super flexible with the optional activities during the drive to and from the lodge. Overall, we would definitely pick this 3 day Amazon tour again.
Carlos 1 was an INCREDIBLE guide! Everything on this trip was amazing from the personal pickup from Eric from our he scenic drive through the Andes (with as many bathroom breaks as I wanted) to walks tailored to our pace through the jungle we had an incredible time and came home with pottery hand made from the Kichwa people we visited. My personal favorite was the trip to Amazoonica, an animal sanctuary where we were joined by a troop of wild monkeys in the trees. I cannot recommend it enough!
The trip was extremely well organized, starting from picking up from Quito and arranging our way back to Quito. The lodge is very remote and located in real jungle, in the middle of the land where Quichua people still leaving in their traditional stile. The lodge is well maintained, the room was good and the food very satisfying. We spend three days with Brian, our gide, who is local person and gain his knowledge about nature, culture, and traditions just through his life here. We are happy with this choice of experience of Amazon!
One of the best trips I have ever been on. I have traveled all over the world, but I don’t think anything comes close to these 3 days in the Amazon. Absolutely life changing. Carlos and Bryan were amazing guides and visiting the indigenous village was something I will never forget. These were 3 days that I will always cherish.
Amazing experience, so memorable ! Our tour guide Mr Brian was so informative and engaging, he was the best guide we could have asked for. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and approachable. The rooms and facilities were stunning and the whole experience was relaxing and unforgettable
We spent 3 days in the Amazon forest with the most amazing guide. Carlos took 4 of us tubing down a river, through the forest and some amazing walks teaching us about the plants and the night animals. We also visited local residents and enjoyed learning about their culture. This trip was a once in a lifetime for us and Carlos did not disappoint with all his knowledge and friendship. Thankyou Carlos
Our driver was prompt and spoke good English, he was really informative on the way. We loved the food, plenty of it. Everything was very clean. The guides were very helpful, the pace perfect, all activities really interesting. We thought it was great value for money and really enjoyed our time there, in fact we stayed an extra night and just hung out by the pool and relaxed. We booked a driver to take us back to Quito, again he was very helpful and spoke English, we even stopped off at the Hot Pools for a few hours on the way.
Our guide Brian was so knowledgeable. He showed us medicinal trees, plants and how the indigenous people hunt, eat and all about their culture. Went on a an exciting night hike and saw many interesting species. Food was great and staff was very helpful. Loved watching the Caiman’s and monkeys!! I highly recommend this Lodge and tour!!
Our stay was amazing and way more luxurious than expected! We had a spacious room with our own bathroom and the food was very delicious. The staff is super nice and the tours itinerary is really cool! All in all impressive experience, 11/10 would recommend
Our transportation from Quito to Suchipakari was wonderful. Jefferson, the driver, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot of information from him and had great conversation during our trip. Suchipakari has wonderful accommodations that are comfortable and private. We were greeted with an itinerary and even given a packing list prior to our stay. Suchipakari lays out a time table for your stay but they are very flexible to your own unique experience. You can participate in a lot of activities or make it a relaxing time. We loved the nature walks in the jungle, swimming in the river, visiting an animal rehab center, canoeing down the Napo river, participating in an authentic amazon cooking class, making chocolate and spending time with the Kichwa community. We most appreciate the hospitality, generosity and hard work of the staff! Thank you!
So much more than I expected, we were looked after extremely well. The transfer from Quito with Alberto was wonderful, he was helpful, educational and friendly. The staff at Suchi were so pleasant and hard working, and the room ... well, the photos don't do it justice. Loved the private balcony in the lodge and right off the balcony there is the jungle and all the sounds it has to offer to lull you to sleep. Our guide Brayan was exceptional!!!! He is worth his weight in gold. So knowledgeable and friendly. We really had personalized service and he made us feel welcome in his world. So much to do to keep busy. Could not recommend this trip enough. P.S bring a quality rain poncho, it's the Rainforest
My teenage son and I LOVED this adventure. First, every person we worked with was kind and helpful. Second, the property is in the jungle near nothing else. It is gorgeous with a pool, a bar, and places to relax in between activities. The food is good and we really enjoyed every activity they provided. We are definitely returning to the Ecuadorian jungle! We added transportation from the resort to Pampallacta then to Quito and that worked great, too. Carlos was our guide for most things on and off property and he taught us so much and took great care of us. Truly an unforgettable trip.
Beautiful lodge and friendly and conscientious staff. However, this trip was advertised with a few stops on route from Quito to the lodge, including caves, hot springs, monkey beach, waterfall as an example. The driver kindly pointed out these places but his English was poor and I was not given the opportunity to stop and visit. So the ,10 stops' advertised is very misleading. Plus the tubing was not available
