My husband and I spent a fun full day personalized tour around Quito with Andras prior to our trip to the Galápagos Islands. Andras chauffeured us around to see the best sights in Quito including the Intiñan Equator Museum (which included fun experiments related to the equator, education about chocolate production in Ecuador, education about the indigenous people of Ecuador, their history and how they lived, and much more!), a trip to see the views of the old town area from the Virgin of El Panecillo, chocolate tasting in the old town square (which included tasty brownies and hot chocolate!), and enjoying some very tasty empanadas for lunch. We did not do the TelefériQo Cable Car due to rainy weather, so it was great that Andras could modify our itinerary on the fly to maximize our day. Andras also speaks perfect English and drives competently and safely on the very busy roads. Thanks again, Andras, for a very good day!

Itinerary
Our first stop will be the Inti Ñan museum at the Equator site. Here you get to walk on the real Equator line and have a fun time with the Equator experiments. You learn about Ecuador's culture in the distinct huts they have representing everyday life back in ancient times. I love this experience and Im sure it will be your favorite as well.
We will stop at the best empanada spot in Quito on the way back. You can choose your empanada (beef, chicken or cheese) and enjoy a soda, coffee or beer.
After getting a beautiful view of Old Town from the top of the Panecillo Hill we will head down to San Francisco plaza where you can visit the church and monastery as your guide parks the car. After a short visit to San Francisco plaza we will head to Yumbos Chocolate for a fun and tasty Chocolate Experience. You will have a guided presentation, chocolate tasting and will have the best chocolate brownie and hot chocolate in the world.
After having tasty empanadas we will return to Old Town Quito and head up to the Panecillo hill where you will have an amazing view of Old Town and Quito as a whole. You can make your way up to the observation deck inside the Virgin Statue.

We had a great day seeing Quito. Our guide was knowledgeable and very interesting to spend the day with. When we mentioned our love of coffee he added two stops - one to a local bakery and another to a coffee roaster. I recommend this tour.
Could not ask for a more amazing guide. Not only very guide at being a guide, but an amazing person. He helped out significantly as my family member got ill on the trip and he went above and beyond!
Diego P was a knowledgeable tour guide and very friendly. He accommodated our groups dietary restrictions and was flexible with the itinerary, taking us to see sights we hadn’t already visited during other day trips and tours. He was also a very safe driver!
Andres was a wonderful guide: so friendly, a great driver and knowledgeable about his city, the food and the culture! We had fun exploring and would highly recommend any tours with him! He also gave us spot on recommendations for excellent dining and drinks. We consider him a friend now!
Great day getting to know the Quito area! It was the perfect mix of experiences. Ending the day at the Itinan museum was perfect, actually our favorite part of the day. It was informative and very entertaining. The weather during the time at the Teleferico was cloudy, which unfortunately made visibility poor. Our guide Diego was personable, friendly and full of knowledge. Thanks for a great day!
This was a good experience. We were traveling as a family with 2 young children, so the flexibility of private tour is worth the extra cost. Our guide, Jean Pierre, was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. We went to Teleferico, Mitad del mundo, and brief tour of old Town. Highly recommend!!!
Our guide, Diego, picked us up without a hitch at the lobby of our hotel, and we were whisked away for a great day with Fernando as our driver. Diego gave us lots of interesting information about Quito and its history throughout the day, and was able to pace the day very well so that we never felt rushed (or bored) at any of the sites. Every single place we went to (teleferico, Jesuit church, intinan museum), was a highlight, and not to be missed on a trip to Quito. We had a fantastic day!
We booked a full day tour with Andres. He reached out via whatsapp shortly after we booked to introduce himself. As we got closer to the trip date in late June 2022 a general strike, road closures and demonstrations took place in Ecuador in general and Quito specifically. Andres kept in touch as the dynamic situation developed. We discussed possible alternatives and substitutions to the tour, changed the day of the tour hoping that conditions would improve and allow the tour to go forward. We were not fortunate to see the situation improve. Once Andres and I agreed that there are no feasible alternatives, Andres cancelled the tour and a refund was issued within minutes of the cancellation. While we did not get to enjoy a tour with Andres due to circumstance beyond everyone's control; his open communications, honesty and excellent customer support and service is 5 star worthy.
The Walk along the historic district was so fascinating. Touring with Andres was very informative. Awesome tours!
Me and my husband had a private tour around Quito with Andres and we are so happy we did! We had some worries in general about tours in Quito, a lot of people said that it’s not the safest times right now. But we felt very safe with Andres. He picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off after the tour. He knew where and when to go, to avoids crowds or even clouds that would block the best view. It was so easy since we didn’t have to plan a thing ourselves or do any research. Andres speaks perfect English, which is great since I don't speak Spanish. He is very knowledgeable and fun. The tour was eventful, but no as tiring as usual group tours, and also so flexible (!). I was hoping to buy certain souvenirs and we adjusted our route so I could shop too. We are happy to found “our guy” and whenever travel back to Ecuador will book our excursions with him only. Thank you, Andres! Sending you the best wishes. Xenia & Cesar
Andres really worked with us to maximize our experiences. We saw a ton of things and he even took us to buy luggage to replace our broken suitcase. This was a jam-packed amazing day! We saw plazas, cathedrals, telemedicine, the equator, and shopped at an artisanal market for souvenirs.
Andres is very personable and knowledgeable about Ecuador. We enjoyed the day and felt safe and well cared for. We would highly recommend his services.
Our guide, Jean Pierre, was very friendly (which is a characteristic of Ecuadorian), patient (two people aged 82 and 80 were with us) and well aware of the sites we visited. I highly recommend this tour.
