We had a fantastic day from start to end. Ricky, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. He took us to all the places we wanted to see and made our trip very enjoyable. He provided lots of interesting information and facts and was very personable throughout the tour. Thank you Ricky for a wonderful day on our first trip to Quito. We would highly recommend both the tour and tour guide Ricky. Jacki and Linda xx

Ricky was amazing!! You must book this tour as it was an incredible experience and Ricky is so knowledgeable and a fantastic guide
Experience exactly as described only better. Our guide, Pamela, was knowledgeable, kind and caring. She took into account lack of acclimatisation and ‘sea legs’ helping us meet our goal of making it to the swings slowly and surely. Could not have had a better day.
My complete experience was amazing! I had fun & learned a lot while feeling safe as a solo traveler! I will definitely rebook with him for my next adventure.
Pam and our driver Fernando were amazing. We had such a good time and got to see so many things! Our favorite parts were taking the cable car up for an amazing view and the chocolate tasting, would 100% recommend.
Ricky was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable about the country and happy to share with us. Ricky made our first time to Ecuador an amazing experience.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our guide - Pamela in Quito. Originally, we booked a one-day tour, but the quality of the service was so exceptional that we decided to extend our sightseeing together for an additional day. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and passionate about Quito’s history and culture. We discovered many fascinating places and received excellent recommendations throughout the tour. Everything was perfectly organized, and we felt comfortable and well taken care of at all times. We highly recommend this guide to anyone visiting Quito. It was a truly memorable experience, and we would gladly choose the same guide again!
Ricky was great. Quito was very fun. He did a great job informing us of the different wonders of Ecuador. Kieffer Family
Pamela was a great guide, who took her time & explained things in a easy to understand manner...she gave time for pictures & questions...overall I would recommend Pamela for this tour
Wonderful experience with our tour guide, with vast knowledge and history of Quito/Ecuador and delivered it with much enthusiasm! We booked a full day tour but asked to start at noon. Despite the time crunch, Ricardo and our driver was able to comfortably take us to all the beautiful sights, which ended at a sunset overlooking the twinkling lights of Quito. Amazing!
Very informative afternoon filled with unexpected beauty and depth. Our guide gave us plenty of background on the spectacular churches in Quito. We finished our tour at sunset at the apocalyptic virgin we saw from the cathedral! Recommend.
Amazing experience with Ricky! He was punctual for pick up and sequenced our day to avoid rain. He had great info and was very patient with our million questions. Had a wonderful day at mitad del mondo and the teleferico. Highly recommend him as a guide - very friendly and top notch service!
The guide knows a lot about Ecuador history, churches and people. It’s a very informative tour, worth the money.
We booked last minute (on the day) with Pamela and Ricky and spent the day learning so much about Quito and Ecuador, including a chocolate taste testing. Pamela was so kind and knowledgeable and shared with us a great deal of information about Quito and Ecuador and its history. We had limited time in Quito and this was a fantastic use of the time. I would highly recommend you book this day trip. You won't regret it.
We enjoyed our day so very much. We learned a lot and had an excellent time experiencing and seeing this beautiful city.
Ricky is one of best guys to do this with.. we had very short amount of time. He took us to the most important part of Quito, gave us a lot of history about the country and city. He is extremely knowledgeable. He took care of us very well and we were able to see everything we wanted to see in a short amount of time we had.. thanks to Ricky.
This was a great experience! Well worth the money and Ricky was truly incredible. He is very knowledgeable about everything with Ecuador and he took us to all the best spots! I would truly recommend this to anyone. The views from the top of the cable cars is truly one of a kind!
Pamela and Rickie were awesome. Very professional and very friendly. They tailored the trip to the things that we wanted to see and moved at an enjoyable pace. We hiked to the waterfall, fed the humming birds and butterflies, and had a nice lunch. They’re very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as the points of interest. Rickie is a great driver, which is a must for the long winding drive to Mindo and back. We highly recommend Pamela and Rickie for this tour.
Our guide was Ricky. He was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. Easy to be with and we learned so much. We would highly recommend him.
Because we were staying in the heart of Quito's Old Town, my friend and I decided that we wanted a guide to help us explore some areas outside the city, especially the Middle of the Earth complex and the Teleferico. We were so fortunate that Viator linked us with Pamela Rivadeneira, who proved to be our ideal guide -- knowledgeable, fluent in English, and exuding a genuine warmth that went beyond the hospitality we learned to expect in Ecuador. Pamela listened to us, paying attention and care to our particular interests, so much so that we booked her services for two additional days. Our tours with her weren't just private; they were truly personal.
Ricky gave us a wonderful tour of Quito! We saw all the great sites in the tour package. He shared so much background information about Quito and Equador in general. I highly recommend this tour with Ricky!
Our guide Ricky was so friendly and knowledgeable. We had a fun and relaxed time with history, culture and science thrown in. The views from the cable car are awesome and we practised some yiga breathing to overcome the altitude. Both the historical and actual middle of the world places are fun lovely meal with a great view and the conversation great.
Great, personalized care from Ricky. He opened doors, gave history lessons, and allowed me to take my time during climbs at high elevation. Would absolutely recommend. 10/10
What an awesome tour guide! Ricky really took good care of me ALL day. He opened doors, gave me history lessons, and guided me up the mountain/volcano. Wonderful experience. Thanks so much, Ricky!
Ricky was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and clearly very proud to show off his beautiful country. His English is outstanding. He was an absolute gentleman - always opening the car door for me or offering a hand down a steep step or path. Thanks Ricky for a fantastic day.
We had a fantastic tour of the middle of the world museum and Teleferico . Ricky is an amazing guide who picked us up from our hotel giving us facts, history & tips along the way. Highly recommend!
Pame was our guide. She was tremendous with knowledge and super nice. Both pieces of the trip were great
Guide was so friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We felt like he was a pal enjoying the experience with us. We were only in the country for 2 days so this tour was an ideal way for us to see as much as possible. If you are in Mindo for longer, you might prefer something different to spend more time in the forest or town as each section of the tour was quite short. Also, the cable car and chocolate experience entry fees are not included in the tour price and have to be paid on the day (they are quite cheap though and well worth it)
I would like to thank you for a beautiful tour of the city of Quito, with a very professional and expert explanation. If someone likes history as such and wants to learn something interesting and unusual, this is the right choice. A very pleasant demeanor and great patience with any question will be provided by a true local guide. We were very pleasantly surprised by the human and individual approach. If you are also looking for a pleasant company, this is the right choice, I can only recommend it, you will not be disappointed.
We had a great experience with Pamela. It was easy to book over WhatsApp. She even accommodated a later start time since we arrived in Quito late the night before. She and our driver were both fantastic. They showed up on time, and showed us around the old town and the equator museum. We couldn’t recommend more!
Ricky is The Best! Knowledgeable, Kind, intelligent and knows all the best places. Book with him or Pamela and you won’t be disappointed!
What a wonderful day. Saw many of the great sights in the Quito area and did so with Pamela who made the day all that much better. A wonderful guide that is very detailed, caring and attentive. She may be the best tour guide I’ve had in all my trips to over 40+ countries… no exaggeration!
Excellent trip, just the right balance of activity (at this altitude), history, science and fun. Thank you Ricky.
Ricky was phenomenal . Extremely knowledgeable and tailored our time to exactly what we wanted ! The restaurant where we ate empanadas was to die for !!! Highly recommend Ricky
Fantastic tour with Rick. He picked us up and took us to the cable car station. It was a beautiful day 8am and the visibility was amazing with the Cotapaxi volcano sight. Admission was discounted for seniors (had to show proof)). Very reasonable. Rick helped us with altitude adjustment by yoga breathing. The Intiman museum was very educational. I enjoyed that a lot. After that we went to Mitad del Mundo for pictures. The length of the tour was just right. Rick is also a careful driver. Very knowledgeable and engaging and a great photographer as well. Highly recommend this tour.
Ricky did an amazing job showing me around Quito! He took amazing pictures for me and made the experience informative and special. In just a few hours he left me with such a good impression of Ecuador I want to come back to spend a longer time here. 10/10 experience. He also showed me where the BEST empanadas were!!
We spent the entire day with Rickie touring the old town area and middle of the world monument and we had a wonderful day!! His knowledge of history and facts was outstanding and he presented them with a smile on his face the entire time. It was like spending 8 hours with a friend. Highly recommend him as your guy for any and all excursions you do in and around Quito. We booked him for our Mindo day next week already!!
Ricky was an amazing guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He was so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING. We had an absolutely fantastic day, you’ll be lucky if you get Ricky as your guide!
Pamela was such a great guide! Quito is a beautiful city, but being shown around by a knowledgeable local made all the difference. The tour felt very thoughtfully planned, and Pamela was incredibly flexible and accommodating to what we were interested in, even adjusting along the way to make sure we still had a great experience when the weather wasn’t cooperating. Because the tour isn’t run through a large company, it felt very personal and intentional, which really reinforced how much effort and care Pamela puts into creating a meaningful experience. It was especially helpful all transportation was taken care of! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Quito.
The best experience in Ecuador. Highly recommended to all. Reasonable price, timely, respectful, professional and knowledgeable.
Pamela and Ricky are experts in the region. They will cater the tour to your exact wants and also offer explorations that may be of interest. In Mindo, we hiked in the forest to waterfalls. Later had lunch at a healthy café, then a tour of a small chocolatier where I learned the small batch process of making chocolate. I consumed the best hot chocolate ever. We finished with visiting a hummingbird sanctuary. The many varieties of hummingbirds were drinking out of my hand, literally. Pamela and Ricky are a great source of information about the area. I did not know there were 99 volcanoes with 27 active in Ecuador. They have many many more facts of interest. I would not hesitate to book them again should I return to the Ecuador area. Another interesting fact is Ricky lived in an area of the Amazon for five years. He can take tours there also.
Pamela was an absolutely perfect guide. She gave us a perspective on the city that we wouldn't have seen, and we so appreciated her genuine warmth and kindness! Thank you Pamela!
Our first day in Quito, Ecuador, was made truly memorable thanks to this outstanding private tour. After arriving late the previous night, we appreciated the flexibility when the team accommodated our request to shift the start time back by 45 minutes. With just our small group of three, it felt personalized and unhurried from the beginning. The itinerary perfectly showcased Quito’s historic and natural wonders. We started at the stunning Basílica del Voto Nacional, the largest neo-Gothic church in the Americas, where we climbed to the towers for breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Next, we explored the UNESCO-listed Historic Center (Old Town), wandering its charming colonial streets, visiting government buildings around Plaza de la Independencia, and enjoying coffee in the vibrant main square. The highlight was riding the TelefériQo cable car up Pichincha Volcano for a short hike at the top. The weather was perfect with clear skies, offering incredible vistas of Quito sprawled below and distant volcanoes, including the majestic Cotopaxi. We made a fun stop for fresh mangoes before lunch at a delightful empanada spot – as vegetarians, we loved the variety of tasty options available. The day wrapped up at Mitad del Mundo, the iconic equator monument, where we posed for classic photos straddling the line between hemispheres. What elevated this tour from great to exceptional was our guide, Ricky. He shared profound insights into Ecuador’s history, culture, and the significance of each site, deepening our appreciation for this beautiful country immensely. Beyond the knowledge, Ricky’s attentiveness stood out – he ensured our comfort throughout, from helping with restroom breaks to watching our safety on climbs (preventing any slips!), and thoughtfully taking professional photos of us at the best spots so we could fully enjoy the moments without fumbling for selfies. These small, thoughtful touches made a huge difference and truly set the experience apart.
Very patient and knowledgeable. You will not lose with Ricky. Ricky speaks very good English and Spanish. All good things always seem short lived.
We had the BEST day with Pamela! It was absolutely a highlight of our 2 weeks in Ecuador. Pamela showed us so much that we would've never seen on our own. She really knows Quito - the history, the sites, the culture, and the people. Pamela knew the spots to take us where we experienced Quito as a local, not a tourist. Pamela is very hospitable and makes you feel so welcome. She customized the tour according to our preferences. Having a private guide is definitely the way to experience Quito! We were able to take out time at places we wanted to explore in depth, without feeling rushed or tied to someone else's schedule. We learned so much and had a lot of fun. Pamela took us to a great lunch spot and made suggestions to try local foods that we would've missed without her guidance. My only regret is that we did not find Pamela until the end of our trip. If I had known what a great guide she is, I would've booked her for more days and skipped the big bus tours.
We had the best experience. We actually booked through our hotel & they provided the best company. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very passionate and knowledgeable about his beautiful country. We were in the Galapagos and only had one day so we went horseback riding to see all the beautiful volcanos! We will be back and use this tour group again. We felt very safe and Ecuador is a very clean country with the kindest people.
Ricardo showed us around Quito. We strolled through the city, visited the Gold Church and drove to Mida del Mundo, where we were able to do some great experiments on gravity. All in all, a great day! Ricardo knows an enormous amount about the architecture, history and culture of Quito. It was interesting, informative and exciting. The organisation was also very good and the driver deserves our thanks too! We can highly recommend Ricardo as a guide. Claudia&Albert
We had such a good experience with Ricky! He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see and constantly checked in to make sure we had access to water/food/restrooms when needed. He had a lot of interesting information to share, which really enhanced the experience of visiting Quito’s famous spots. Overall we had an excellent experience and would definitely recommend booking a tour with Ricky!
We had a wonderful time going to see the equator and learn about what happens at the equator. We also took the cable car to the top of a volcano and saw lots of churches in old town. Ricky was amazing and knew so much. The perfect way to spend a day in Quito
Pamela was fantastic! She picked us up from our hotel at 8:30 am and returned us at 5 pm. In between we saw the Basílica, historic Quito, took the cable car up, had a delicious lunch, visited the equator all with very knowledgeable narration. Her English is excellent and her driving impeccable.
