I've had a great day with Diana, I've learned a lot and it was really fun to do the Quilotoa hike ! If I can give one advice to the agency : I think it would be nice to be flexible on the agenda and adapt to the weather :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – An Unforgettable Quilotoa Volcano & Lagoon Experience! What an incredible adventure to the breathtaking Quilotoa Volcano and its stunning turquoise-emerald crater lagoon! 🌋💚 A huge thank you to Jorge, our wonderful tour guide, and his driver for making this trip so memorable. The journey was filled with spectacular scenery, fascinating local culture and unforgettable experiences. We especially enjoyed visiting traditional Indigenous houses, discovering beautiful local paintings and artwork, and taking memorable photos with adorable alpacas! 🦙📸 Jorge was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Ecuador’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Our driver made the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended! If you’re visiting Quito, don’t miss this amazing experience with Jorge and his driver. A perfect combination of nature, culture and adventure! 🇪🇨❤️
Diana was our guide. She is an excellent English speaker and a great guide! She looked after all eight of us from start to finish. She did a fantastic job of keeping us informed and educating us. We visited a “highlands home”, a local arts and crafts gallery and hiked to and from the Quilotoa lagoon. She also managed our breakfast and lunch. The highlands home was very interesting, the art gallery was well stocked with unique pieces and the hike was hard but doable. That said, due to the distances involved, it’s a long day. The operator, IMHO, should describe the tour itinerary as flexible such that that the guide can direct what stops occur when. Due to scheduling inflexibility, we “missed” our good weather window and hiked in the rain. Diana knew that this would occur yet could do nothing to change it. We had a great day nonetheless!
Jorge was an amazing guide and made our trip to Quilotoa truly special! He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive to everyone in the group. His passion for Ecuador, its culture, history, and natural beauty made the whole experience even more meaningful. Thank you, Jorge, for such a wonderful day and for turning this trip into a beautiful memory! I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Ecuador. If you get the chance to explore Quilotoa with Jorge, you’re in great hands! 🇪🇨❤️
We were just 12 people. It was a really nice Tour. Even we didn’t have the Best weather Jorge our guide and Andres the driver were brilliant. I Never had such a Perfect tourguide! He knew all our names by heart, cared for everybody, funny, very informative tour, intelligent guy and he took care for the slowest. It‘s a very hard way up!!! He even took my luggage to my entrance door! Wow! Highly appreciate his commitment!
I did the over night trip to Cotopaxi and the Quilotoa crater the second day. I thought Jessica was very informative, upbeat and fun and gave a good brief at Cotopaxi. I was encouraged by being able to make hike up to the Refuge and handle the altitude. On the second morning Jorge was most communicative with my pick up at the hotel and kept us well informed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. He was most attentive to our level of physical ability. I felt very comfortable with him and had a truly wonderful experience over all. Jorge was great with all the photos he took with group and individuals. The cultural stops were also rewarding. Highly recommend!
Been to a couple of adventure tours in different countries, we found Jorge as a passionate and authentic professional who cares about the group and leaves you with unforgettable memories. Muchas gracias Jorge!
What an awesome experience. Long drive but the scenery is worth every second. Small group so our guide Irene was attentive to all. She definitely all in one: tour guide, photographer, translator you name it. Awesome and knowledgeable! Tip: Going down Quilotoa is worth it, we did kayaking super fun. But the hike up is pretty tough but not impossible.
Had a lot of fun on this trip. The hike was intense but our guide Carlos was amazing keeping us motivated. He got to learn everyone’s name and checked in constantly.
Had a wonderful day visiting Quilotoa Lagoon. Our guide Irene was funny, engaging, knowledgable and very passionate. Good communication regarding pick up from the hotel, comfortable bus journey, and a decent amount of free time at the Lagoon. Overall I had a great day and I would recommend this tour to others!
The best experience ever. Amazing tour by Daniela Super fun kayaking in lagoon Amazing hike and food 100% rcommend
Great trip! Great guide and driver!!!! Thank you!
Great Quilotoa tour with Quitotour Bus! Jorge was an amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended!
Wonderful tour and our guide Fernando was fantastic. Loved the little stops on the way to Quilatoa Lagoon, which included a quick stop for breakfast. We hiked only part of the way down and then walked along the outer ridge which provided a great opportunity for more viewpoints and photos.
Doing the Quilotoa Tourwith Jorge was amazing. He was very attentive and pleasant giving all the time curious and appropriate facts for the excursion. I highly recommend the excursion, Quilotoa is beautiful and more so if it is von Jorge!
This excursion was a good chance to see Quilatoa and get an opportunity to experience indigenous art and culture. Our guide Irene and driver Marcello picked us up from our hotel promptly. It's a long drive, but we stopped on the way for breakfast. Next, we visited an indigenous farm and learned about their lifestyle. We also got to meet and take pictures with their alpacas. Next, we made a brief stop at a canyon for photos. Then, we arrived at the crater. We were there early enough to see it in its full neon shade. We had several hours to hike, explore, and shop before lunch and heading back. Our last stop was at the shop of an indigenous artist in Tigua who is known for creating masks. Finally, our day wrapped up with a long drive back to Quito. We had a fun time. You'll need cash for all expenses (lunch, souvenirs, etc) after the first mini Mart, but there's an ATM there.
The crater is amazing. It gets really really cold, dress warm. If you plan on hiking down to the crater, wear hiking shoes as it is very slippery due to gravel on the pathway.
The trip to Quilotoa was very interesting and well organized. The lake was beautiful and Jorge was an amazing guide and knew a lot of information.
Excellent customer service and support. I loved the amazing tour guide. Beautiful sceneries and great weather.
We were lucky with the changing weather in the Andes, and my son was able to kayak in the Quilotoa lagoon for the first time! Thanks to Irene and her deep knowledge of our destination and Ecuador in general, the tour was both interesting and fun. Jonathan, our driver, kept us safe the entire way despite the heavy traffic on the Pan-American Highway.
Great tour and excellent guide, come prepared though! A must see if you're in Ecuador. I'd definitely go again.
Irene and Mauricio were the best! Irene was an incredible guide and Mauricio was an excellent driver. The timing, information, tour stops, and everything in between were perfect. I would absolutely bring my family and friends back for this wonderful experience.
A very pleasant excursion. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to do the explanations both in English and Spanish.
For the price you can't beat it. Was absolutely amazing. The views were incredible. Highly recommend.
Quilotoa was breathtaking , quiet, and unforgettable. The views were incredible, but Jorge made the trip even better with his expertise, good humor, and deep knowledge of the area. A fun, knowledgeable guide who made every moment worthwhile. Highly recommended. In addition Jorge speaks English Portuguese and Spanish. Carlos, the driver was amazing ! Que Dios lo bendiga gracias por todo Gracia !!!
As a solo traveler, I had an amazing experience on two separate day tours with this company! Booking in Quito was incredibly easy, even for next-day trips. Both tours were fully bilingual, and the guides did a seamless job switching between English and Spanish so everyone felt included.Quilotoa Trip: The crater lake was absolutely beautiful, and the food was delicious. Our guide, Diana, was fantastic and took tons of great photos for us.Cotopaxi Trip: Even though it was a very rainy day with low visibility, our guide, Irene, kept us fully engaged with fascinating information about the volcano. Both trips had excellent, comfortable transportation and wonderful drivers. I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend this company for seamless and memorable adventures in Ecuador!
Quilotoa Lagoon is beautiful. It is a long ride there but the stop at the indigenous village was a nice diversion. Irene was our guide and would highly recommend getting her as your tour guide. She was knowledgeable and brought a lot of positive energy and fun to the experience. The hike back up is strenuous and Irene was very attuned to who needed help in our group.
First of all Irene was really the best guide I could ask for very entertaining and knowledgeable. I liked the pace of the tour it seemed like there was always something going on but you also had some time to take it easy. The views from the double decker bus were a big plus and the driver clearly was experienced. The hike was amazing, strenuous on the way back but surely worth it!
Irene is very energetic and a great guide. She made sure the experience was great for both english and Spanish speakers
This is an awesome day trip! The stops along the way really added to the experience, Jorge was a great guide. Be ready for a challenge with the hike, especially if coming from a lower altitude area. The views were amazing would definitely recommend!

Wow, the location was fabulous, but that's thanks to Mother Nature. Our guide Alejandro was friendly, informative, without going over every detail, patient and fun.
Great tour to the Quilotoa Laguna, very well organized and the guide Irene was just fantastic! Very knowledgeable and funny, fluent in English and Spanish, she was very caring and was able to keep the atmosphere very entertaining while giving us a lot of information about nature, history and culture! Highly recommended!
This experience was pretty awesome! Pamela was such a great guide, very knowledgeable, bubbly, accommodating! Had a great day! Great group of people in the tour as well! I couldn’t have asked for a better day and company to go with and get to visit and to hike Quilotoa Lagoon
The tour was well organized. Our guide Daniel picked us up at the hotel, shared about his country and explained about agriculture and craft of the region before heading to Quilotoa for the hike down to the crater lake. You can then hike up (really steep and slippery) or rent 2 horses for 20. Very good lunch after the hike as well. Daniel had great balance between explaining things and leaving the group (6 people) as our own paces.
My tour ride was awesome. Comfortable seats in the bus. Nicely narrator by Daniel on the way to Quilotoa. After making my way down to the bottom of the lagoon. Daniel stayed with me both trips. He looked after me, me being a man of a certain age and realize I couldn't make it back up. He helped me get a horse. Deeply appreciate for all his help. Keith Thomas
At the lagoon you have a choice and do not have to hike. We did not get dropped off until 9pm...long day!
Amazing experience! Jorge was a wonderful and helpful guide.
Our tour guide Pam was doing a superb job. Her service was perfect and did more than enough for us.
This is a nice day trip. The local operator is customer service oriented and flexible. Carolina, the guide and the driver were very nice , polite and friendly. The only challenge lies with inconsiderate tourists. We had a few in our group that chose not to listen to the hiking directions.provided by the guide. Their behavior lead to one hour delay, leaving the lagoon very late and making it back to Quito around 8:30 PM.
Daniel, and Daniel, were amazing. Thank you for a great day.
Jorge was a wonderful helpful guide! Great trip.
Fabulous but very long day. Everything went according to plan. Be aware of the very strong winds at Quilotoa. Have a scarf or a mask. I was not prepared for the amount of fine sand all over the trails apparently put in place for the donkeys. This made the decent more difficult. Walking sticks are recommended. My guide was fabulous, and the entire tour truly worth my efforts. I highly recommend.
I had an amazing time visiting Quilotoa with the rest of the group. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole experience was unforgettable. What made the trip even more special was Dani. He was incredibly attentive throughout the entire tour, always making sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and having a great time. His kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude truly made a difference. I highly recommend this tour, especially if Dani is your guide!
Lots of time in the bus, but the hike and views (and alpacas!) were worth it! Ended with a tasty lunch.
Quilotoa is one of the most stunning places I've visited. The crater lake is absolutely breathtaking, and the views throughout the day were incredible. If you're visiting Ecuador, this is an experience you shouldn't miss. A special thank you to our guide, Jessica. She was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and made the entire trip enjoyable. She shared interesting information about the region, kept everyone on schedule without making us feel rushed, and was always happy to answer questions. She truly made the experience even better. One word of caution for future travelers: please double-check your change if you're exchanging or receiving cash during the first pit stop at the store that sells coffee and gaudy trinkets near the ATM. At approximately 8:58 AM on June 29, 2026, I did not receive the correct amount of change back after a cash transaction. It wasn't enough to ruin an otherwise fantastic day, but it's worth paying attention and counting your money before walking away. The lady was also super super rude and dismissive about it. Overall, I still highly recommend this tour because Quilotoa is spectacular and Jessica was an outstanding guide. Just be mindful of any cash transactions.
I was on the ‘Quilotoa Lagoon full day’ tour, with our amazing guide Irene, who was very knowledgable about Quito and Ecuador, past history and present. Irene was very friendly, helpful and happy to answer any of my questions. The tour included amazing views of the lagoon, and an option of trekking down to the water level, which was great, although slightly difficult due to the sandy ground. Decent walking boots are definitely required. Trekking back up though, was definitely tough, due to the sheer ascent and the altitude (donkeys are available though, to take you back up to the top, if it's too much of an ordeal). The tour was all at an unrushed pace, with plenty of opportunities for photos. We had a fantastic lunch, with really delicious food (great vegetarian options). Great communication before the trip, confirming time and pickup location. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, and | learnt and saw so much, with my amazing, friendly and smiley guide.
This was an amazing tour, I am so glad I did it!! It was the last one of four that I booked whole in Quito, and even though it was the longest drive out of all of them, it was sooo worth it!! Yessica (guide) and Mauricio (driver) were both amazing, they both made sure we all had a wonderful experience!!
Tour guide was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend others to do. Wonderful views and taste of culture.
A really great tour! Our guide Irene organised everything perfectly and gave lots of information about Ecuador and about Quilotoa. Thank you very much for a wonderful day!
