We are so happy we booked this tour! Kevin was not only incredibly knowledgeable of the area, he was so warm & it truly felt like a friend was showing us around Quito. Definitely recommend showing up with an empty stomach. We covered so many bases from ceviche to coffee & bites, just everything was so delicious, and we had a blast. It was a really nice change of pace for a couple that usually just explores on our own vs. doing guided tours.

KEVIN was fantastic - timely, interesting, and informative. We had such a great experience overall, drinks food dessert from 3 different places, 30 minutes to shop at an artisanal market, and of course everything was delicious. We went as a work group, but if I'm ever back in Quito with my family I would 100% do this again. 10/10 recommend!
This was a great tour. Our guide Vivi was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and her English was excellent. We could not recommend this tour more. Whatever you do don’t eat beforehand, all the local food is amazing and you will finish the tour full to bursting!
We could not review this tour highly enough. Vivi was an excellent guide, her English was amazing and she was clearly enthusiastic about the Ecuadorian food scene. We went to authentic local restaurants and the portions were great. Do not eat before you go, you will be absolutely full of delicious food by the end of the day.
My guide was STEFY, she was very knowledgeable guide. My group was small, so it felt like a private tour. The pace of the tour was very relaxed, and we were able to make a bunch of stops. We took our time in each stop, was never rushed or pressured into buying anything. We tried a variety of foods and drinks that were really good, that I would never try or known if I was on my own. Highly recommend it.
Great experience with Stefi! We had plenty of fantastic food and discovered great places. Highly recommended.

An exceptional gastronomic tour with Kevin. Itinerary was not rush. Very informative and fun day! Highly recommended!
Vivi was an excellent guide for this excursion! We were the only guests so we got a private experience and enjoyed sampling so many foods and seeing several markets. She gave us lots of information about the food and made good conversation. Lots of walking so make sure you're used to the altitude!
Overall, it's a good tour. The tour guide Stefy was friendly. She provided details about the meeting place. We had so much a variety of food.
We had an amazing time. Kevin was our tour guide and he is extremely knowledgeable about geopolitics and history with Ecuador and the world. We had amazing conversations. He is extremely friendly and showed us amazing food and markets. I highly recommend anyone to take the tour. Amazing value and an amazing experience. 10/10
Stefy was amazing and taught us a lot about Ecuador and the food and culture. The foods were also delicious! This tour felt like a food hop with a good friend! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!
Our tour was amazing and we loved our guide Stefy! Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat great food and learn all about Ecuadorian culture, history, and daily life!
I was lucky enough to be the only guest on this tour. Kevi started off teaching me more about the history of Ecuador and answered the many questions that l had about the relationship between the urban and ethnic population. I feel I have a much better understanding about the country l was visiting, and value that. He took me to restaurants I would never have found on my own and introduced me to traditional foods of the Quito and the mountainous areas. He explained about the nutritional value of certain foods which are important for members of the population. We visited the ethnic market. We visited the vegetable, flower and fruit market. We walked a fair amount but not excessively and I enjoyed looking at the neighborhoods we passed along the way. Kevi is very proud of his country and it's resources and is a very good representative of his people He is friendly and professional. I felt safe traveling with him I enjoyed the conversations we had and I really enjoyed experiencing the foods of the local people that I would never have known about.l would never have found the interesting out of the way places we went to if I had been on my own. Highly recommended. Thank you so much Kevi, I loved being with you.
Melana met us at a very open spot so it was easy for her to identify us as well as we her. After a five minute walk in the neighborhood, we started with a dish of mashed green plantains with an egg (tigrillo). An excellent breakfast food that was filling and satisfying. We then travelled another 5 - 10 minutes for stop 2 for an Andean ceviche (cevichochos). Our 3rd meal was mote conchicharron which consisted of corn, peas, deep fried pork belly, lime and vegetables. For number four was some local ice cream (sorbet) made from local fruits. Not too sweet, but tasty. Number 5 was fresh fruit from a local central market and finally empanadas, we chose to have 1 containing spinach and cow cheese. This was not only a great day to spend with a very pleasant local guide, but also one that knew where to go where the “locals” eat. A must when exploring a new town. We highly recommend this food tour.
Come hungry! Great way to explore all the local favorites with a local. Would recommend if you enjoy exploring the local gastronomy. Our guide Vivi was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Malena was an excellent tour guide, and it was a very comprehensive overview of Ecuadorian history and culture. She knew her stuff! And also made it fun and engaging. I was only here for two days, and this was all I needed to get a great sense of Quito. The tastings were terrific with quite a variety of offerings. Malena, thank you for sharing your knowledge and providing a warm welcome to Ecuador!
Malena, our guide, made the whole tour a fun, memorable experience. She was not just knowledgeable about food but also the city in general, offering helpful tips for other experiences in Quito. The food was delicious and varied and Malena was very helpful with providing gluten free options. Highly recommended!
Gabby and the leader Steffie were so upbeat and warm. They explained the history behind the food, the ingredients used, how it was cooked and the way the people of Quito used it in their lives. The food itself was fantastic but when we could understand how it evolved we could doublely enjoy it. The drinks ordered to go with the food were so delicious also. Everything was made fresh with whole foods so was very nutritious and filling.
Stefy and her assistant, Gabby, took us on a delightful foodie adventure. We sampled many new, tasty foods, beans, bananas, juices, honeys, fresh fruits...healthy, creative combinations we can't get at home. I am glad we signed up to spend some time with these two kind, enthusiastic women! It gave us a real appreciation for the wide variety of wholesome foods farmers grow in Ecuador.
Vivi was great and took us to several local spots. We enjoyed learning the history of Ecuadorian Gastronomy. Thank you to the team for a great day.
My friend and I had a wonderful time on our food tour with Malena! We tried all kinds of dishes from local restaurants and vendors, including breakfast, lunch, fruits, juices, even ice cream. We tried things we never would have known to try by ourselves. Malena was very kind and welcoming, and she taught us all about the history of the food and the city. This was a great tour and I recommend it for anyone who wants to experience the local food culture in Quito!
Kevin our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. He allowed us to determine the pace taking us to some delicious places and explaining history of what we were eating. Kevin’s love of his country and foods translated to our excitement for sampling the food. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful tour! I love to experience new cultures this was more than just tasting different foods. Our guide Vivi was awesome. She was so knowledgeable about the different foods and the culture around the dishes. My wife has a gluten allergy and she made sure to accommodate the food choices for this. We got to visit some markets for some quick shopping along the way. I cannot recommend this tour enough for anyone that likes to try a variety of local food and learn a little about what Ecuador has to offer!
Malena was a wonderful tour guide. I ended up being the only one on the tour, so I had the opportunity to connect with her and learn more about Ecuador. I highly recommend this tour! The food from the local spots was really tasty, and it was a good mix of different dishes that Ecuadorians eat.
Vivi was incredible. She was very energetic and knowledgeable about both the local gastronomy as well as the culture. We had a wonderful time exploring some different parts of Quito, tasting and learning about different delicacies. Would 100% recommend. Thank you!
Vivi our guide was great, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and all things Ecuador related. Got to try many things we wouldn't have discovered on our own.
Interesting food tour. More food to sample than ability to digest. The guide was informative and responsive, but at times, hard to hear clearly because of the cadence and high pitch.
Great food. Just know it’s A lot of food. Perfect amount of walking and touring. Our guide Malea was super knowledgeable and fun. Seemed to enjoy her job
Vivi gave us a great tour with a good variety of food tasting. Her knowledge is outstanding and her bubbly personality made for an excellent tour.
We had a great time with our guide Vivi. She was very thorough in her explanation of the many different local foods we sampled during the tour. This tour is a great value for the price. We left food on the plate at each stop and were still stuffed at the end of the tour. Our tour was at 10:00 am. I would recommend not eating before the tour or having a very light breakfast so that you can fully enjoy each dish.
This was a great tour! Kevin was awesome, it was like spending the day with a friend! A friend who knows all the best places to eat (the best kind)
Really loved the tour walking around tasting different local foods and visiting several markets. What a great introduction to Quito. Higjly recommend this tour.
We met up with Vivi and she was at the meeting point as arranged. The pre-coordination was wonderful and reassuring that everything was set. Vivi was amazingly friendly and shared so much about her country through all the food we ate and places we visited. It was a great introduction on our 2nd day in the country. It was exactly the authenticity we were looking for!
I had an amazing time with this tour. I had Malena as my guide. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We tried different Ecuadorian food and sweets and I got a rich history of the country and Quito. I highly recommend Malena as a guide!
The food tour with Fernando was amazing, the previous comunication was perfect and during the tour we thought we wouldn't eat much, but we did...!! Fernando told us the origin of the food, we visited perfect places, mix of food and shooping, in general the best food tour in my life….!! Highly recommend…!!
We had a great time with Malena. We tasted more foubd than both of us could eat. Appreciated Malena's passion and enthusiasm for the food of Quito.
I loved it! It was great going to the little hidden gems and my guide Kevin was very knowledgeable and cool! Bravo!
Kevin was informative annd entertaining. He was very informative a d went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable. The local food was delicious- especially the cevichocho.
The whole tour was incredibly stunning !!! I actually got mesmerized by the traditions in this magnificent country. Besides the culinary offer Fernando provides, we learnt a lot about the culture and History of Ecuador. Since it's a broaden distance between places we dropped by several landmarks and we had the chance to walk down the streets of the north part of Quito, which is the newest part of the city. Every single spot we visited had an incredible assortment of food and the dishes are extremely tasty and of course the indigenous market is remarkable, I got astonished and quite delightful due to the traditions and the food, I couldn't take another bite after the tour since there are a few spots with huge dishes 😂 but it was awesome. The last part of the tour was a traditional market where you can recognize all of the fruits which are harvested in here and the best part is the hospitality and kindness of the people everywhere. 10 out of 10 THE BEST TOUR AND EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
The tour was just amazing, the food you eat is delicious, the "huecas" are really good; un this places you can taste some pf the most tipycal food of Quito and the guide is very friendly and provide all the information about the ingredients and preparation. Highly recommended thank you so much.
