Vivi was the guide for our group. She did an excellent job on so many fronts. She took us to a lot of interesting spots in the old city of Quito to get a taste of the food and also knew a lot about the history of Quito and its culture. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommend it.
Vivi was super knowledgeable about the area and provided us with tremendous value and great vibes! 1000% recommend her.
On our first day in Quito, we wanted to get a feel for the city, its culture, history and gastronomy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction! Agar was an excellent guide, very attentive to detail and to our own curiosity and interests. The tour was incredibly rich, both in terms of the historical and cultural topics covered and the variety of gastronomic experiences. Above all, Agar made the experience feel truly personal and unforgettable, giving us wonderful memories that we will cherish. Highly recommend! Thank you, Agar!
I had a wonderful time on this tour in Quito! Kevin, our tour guide, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. He explained so much about the history and culture of Quito’s Old Town, which made the experience even more interesting and enjoyable. I also really enjoyed the local food along the way. It was a great way to explore the city, learn about its history.
We had such a great time exploring Quito’s historic center with Fernando today! He was funny, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the history come alive with interesting stories, great humor, and such positive energy. The vibes were amazing from start to finish! We learned so much, shared plenty of laughs, and genuinely enjoyed every moment. The walking tour is **FREE**, with a suggested tip of **$7–$10 per person**, and trust me, it’s worth every penny! If you’re looking for a guide who knows his stuff and makes history fun, Fernando is your guy! Highly recommend!
Agar was a great tour guide who made the experience very special by sharing her personal stories as well. We were a small group together with our family and it felt very cozy. My favorite part was the chocolate tasting workshop with which the tour concluded. Our whole family had a great time and we’d definitely recommend joining.
Rasa was fabulous . His knowledge of everything was fabulous and he explained everything really clearly with the perfect level of detail . We loved the tour and all the foody stops exceeded our expectations . Thank you for this introduction to Quito
We enjoyed our tour through Quito today. Stefy was a great guide!
This was a very informative and yummy tour. Our guide Stefy was super. Even though it was overcast and a bit rainy she had great energy and our small group had fun. It was an interesting combination of culture and food. She took us to some spots that locals know. We really enjoyed that. Definitely recommend this tour.
What a fabulous way to see the real Quito!! Vivi our guide was excellent, with incredible English!! She got the balance absolutely spot on with excellent facts on her City!! The food spots she stopped at were incredible, we’d have never stopped there without Vivi!!
This tour gave us a unique exposure to the old town with a variety of stops along the way to explain the history of Ecuador. A few snacks were included, so it may be helpful to eat before the tour if you’re planning to use this experience as more of a meal. Our guide Rasu was kind and informative, and made a tremendous effort to optimize our time by contacting eateries ahead of time in order for food to be ready when we arrived.
Vivi was a great guide and all the tastings of local foods and drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a great tour to truly get a feel of the beautiful city of Quito. Our guide Kevin was fantastic and truly made the tour fun and memorable. His knowledge of the sites as well as Quito and Ecuador historical and cultural highlights made it a great experience, not to mention the delicious local treats along the way – especially the chocolate tasting!! Thoroughly recommend taking this tour.
Stefy was an amazing guide and we had a lovely day in Quito! The food was delicious and th sights beautiful. Stefy shared interesting facts about Quito and Ecuador and the pace of the tour was good! We would 100% recommend this tour!
Our guide Vivi brought the old town of Quito to life. We would have missed so much that was hidden in plain sight. From explaining the architecture, the creation of the old town and cultural significant traditions. And the food! Things we would have walked away from or not know to ask for were explored under her guidance and enthusiasm for teaching others about her city. We’ve done food tours in other destinations and this hits high marks. Thank you Vivi for sharing your country’s story with us.
This was a fantastic tour. Daniel was so knowledgeable and interesting - he brought everything to life. It was good value for money with lots of food tastings throughout the day. I highly recommend it!
An interesting and informative tour showing us around the beautiful churches and buildings in the old Unesco area of Quito. Kevin kept us entertained with stories, tales and legends of the history within the area. We had a great opportunity to taste some delicious local dishes followed by a variety of sweets and ending with a tasting of the best variety of Ecuador chocolate. Thank you Kevin for making a great tour into a fabulous tour. This is a perfect tour for your first day in Quito
Our guide Rasu was very pleasant and well informed. We enjoyed the stops, the small restaurants we visited and the taste of Ecuadorian cuisine. The chocolate stop was disappointing. Before the tour, we visited another small chocolate place and it was amazing. All in all we had a great experience.

Our guide Kevin was a great young man with a wonderful sense of humor, making the tour both fun and educational. The history of cacao was fascinating, and the tour was a real treat, especially for chocolate lovers. We were so inspired that we ended up buying, among other things, the ingredients to make cacao tea, so we get to enjoy the experience back home too! Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time on today’s tour! Viví was such a wonderful guide, warm, super fun, knowledgeable, and passionate. She made the experience truly special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend! Our favorite part the cacao/ chocolate tasting
Vivi was very knowledgeable and professional. I look forward to signing up for more tours in Ecuador.
This was a wonderful walking food tour. Our guide Vivi was fantastic! She provided a lot of interesting information and history. The food tastings were delicious and far more than I was expecting. I highly recommend it. It was a lot of fun!
Fabulous blend of historical, cultural and some architectural information in addition to the gastronomy experience. The culinary stops were very diverse, not a tourist trap itinerary. Some local crafts used in celebrations were shown and demonstrated. Our guide Malena was very knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects, in addition to being fun and pleasant. My expectations were met and exceeded. I’d highly recommend this. Wear comfortable walking shoes!
Great tour with Kevin. Much more than a food tour. Kevin shared his passion for Quito and helped us get oriented to the city on our first full day here. Great knowledge, stories and insights on Quito and Ecuador culture. Communication before the tour was clear and we had no issues finding the meeting place or Kevin. Thank you
Worth the price, got to see a lot of Historical Quito and learn some local history. Gabby was a great and knowledgeable guide
Excellent tour with Malena. Informative, fun, friendly. Delicious variety of tastings. Was just me on the day so enjoyed a private tour - great that they go with just one person. Recommended.
Excellent well organized with great guide. It was very informative and educational.
Great way to visit the old town of Quito while tasting typical snacks and cacao. Gaby was fantastic, she made our trip to Quito unforgettable. 100% recommend it!!
This tour is a great stepping stone into seeing and understanding some of the delights of Quito. We went back two days later to cover in more detail what we had learned with our great guide Kevin.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour (I've taken Viator tours in many countries). It combined hearing about the history of Ecuador and background on Quitos most important buildings and churches along with some food sampling. The chocolate sampling alone was worth the tour. My guide Kevin was a delight and spoke English fluently
Daniel and the tour he did today was amazing, he was patient, fun to be around and very organized. Everything was great. Also the tasting of the empanadas and cholocate in the end was absoluty worth it. Great tour
Malena was a very nice guide and we really enjoyed learning more about the history of Quito with her. All of the food and drink locations were wonderful and we learned even more about Ecuadorian foods.
An exceptional experience in Quito! The best 4 hours ever spent and among the most pleasant food walking tours I ever had anywhere. Our guide Vivi was beyond wonderful and knowledgeable, being able to squeeze in culture, history, gastronomy, fun trivia, and immersive walk all in one
This tour was a delight, and our guide, Kevin, was one of the best elements. Knowledgeable, friendly, and so happy to share Quito and its wonderful food with our small group, Kevin captivated us with history, culture, and agricultural lessons! His English was great, but it was his willingness to help educate us that I admired the most. I highly recommend this fantastic tour!
Ok tour, but I found our guide, Stefy, talked too fast with her spanish accent, and I had a lot of trouble understanding what she was saying. There was a lot more focus on the food and a lot less on the cultural. And a lot of the "cultural" and the food seemed to be in stores wanting to sell you stuff.
The tour was amazing — Vivi was an incredible guide, we learned so much and tried so many different types of food! Really recommend to get a taste of Quito
Great introduction to Quito and some of the food in Ecuador. The chocolate tasting was my favorite. And Vivi was a charismatic, enthusiastic guide. Would love to join her on another tour if I had more time.
This was a fun tour and took the perfect amount of time. Our guide Vivi was fantastic. She got everyone engaged, was very knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic. The crowd was a good size. Large enough to feel safe but small enough for everyone to hear Vivi and participate with questions. The cost was very reasonable.
Vivi is absolutely amazing! This food tour was excellent, not only did she pick great foods to try, the historical piece was exactly what we were looking for as an introduction to the city of Quito. My friend and I highly recommend this tour!!
Our guide Vivi had a great personality and was really energetic and knowledgeable. We had a nice downhill walk from the basilica around historic Quito. We got to try so many different snacks and dishes throughout our way. While we thought we would need lunch after the tour, we certainly did not. It was a good combination of an overview and some more in depth topics that left room for future personal exploration. Overall, we saw many of the highlights and got a chance to pick up a few souvenirs. We had a few challenging members of our tour, and Vivi handled it well. Tour was definitely worth the cost.

Vivi was our tour guide and provided an enthusiastic tour of the old city and various features of interest along the way. We did stop and taste some treats along the way and had a lovely lunch in a nice little restaurant. We particularly liked the chocolate tasting experience. We were in Ecuador for two weeks and still talk about the chocolate tasting. Vivi was my mom's favorite part of our 16 days in Ecuador. We met a person on the tour from our local area in the states and had dinner with him that night and stayed in touch while we all were in Ecuador, so it was also a nice bonding experience with other participants, too. Vivi made our first day in Quito, Ecuador exciting and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour for an introduction to Quito. Its an easy way to get oriented to the city and start to try the foods.
Kevin was an excellent tour guide; very knowledgeable about the history, culture, and food. We learned how these three areas intertwined to influence what we see and taste here in Quito. Kevin.was also very professional and friendly and made our tour extra fun. Thank you from Jacqueline and Lisa!
One of the most wonderful tours I’ve ever taken. Our guide Vivi presented historical, cultural, culinary aspects of Ecuador with super knowledge and enthusiasm. Learned a lot about Ecuador, its traditions, food, history and people. Loved chocolate tasting and had very fun time learning how to dance ! Highly recommend!
