Our bi-lingual guide, William, was very personable & knowledgeable and made sure we got a great view from the cable car summit by re-arranging stops to take advantage of clear skies. The highlight of the tour was a delicious lunch at a truly local restaurant and the visit to the Center of the World to witness/ learn about the Equator - a must when visiting Quito. While walking through the historic downtown we had to inquire specifically about the history, architecture, etc. which he was very happy to answer but wasn’t part of his regular script. At the end of the day we had seen specific places/attractions but knew very little about Quito as a whole.

Itinerary
Your tour guide will pick you up at 9:00 a.m., from our meeting point located at LA PRADERA NEIGHBORHOOD (Mariana de Jesús E7-74 St. and La Pradera St.) right outside of HOTEL CASA Q., in order to drive you towards the best viewpoint of Quito!
You will take a ride on a cable car, which is located at the foothills of the Pichincha Volcano, in an area of 160 hectares. The ride takes 15 minutes per way, starting at 3.045 meters (9,990 ft) and end up at 4.100 meters above sea level (12,500 ft). You will enjoy a beautiful view of the eastern valleys, old town, south and north of Quito.
Then we continue to the northwest of Quito to head the famous Intiñan Museum, geographically located at 0 degrees, 0 minutes and 0 seconds, that marks the division between the northern and southern hemispheres as established by the French Geodesic Mission in the Eighteenth Century. You will see beautiful displays of different ethnic groups in Ecuador, plus the story of their lifestyles, explained by a specialist tour guide! This is an opportunity to be photographed with both of your feet on the northern and southern hemispheres at the same time!
On the way back to Quito, you will see from the road the Equatorial Monument that was built between 1979 and 1982.
In the afternoon, we go to the colonial town of Quito, and during our nice walk, you will pass through the Independence Square, scenery of many dramatic battles of revolution in the history of the Republic of Ecuador.
Walk around the old town.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral of Quito, the Archbishop's palace, the Church of the Secret Society of Jesus of Quito, summit of the Latin American Baroque style and the charming neighbourhood of "La Ronda".
You'll visit the Church and Convent of San Francisco, built in 1540! This tour will finish approximately at 4:30 p.m., after enjoying the most complete sightseeing tour experience in the capital city of Ecuador!

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Michael, our guide, was simply amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience. He made the tour truly memorable. I can’t recommend this tour and Michael highly enough. If you’re considering booking, definitely go for it!
Great experience! Luis was a fabulous tour guide. He was very professional and experienced. Took his time to show us all the best places in Ecuador.
Ended up with a private tour - had a wonderful day! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Her insight to Quito and Ecuador made the tour very special.
Our tour guide Diana was amazing! The hike to the swing is not for the faint of heart but she was patient and encouraging and we did it! Quito was a great experience both educational and interactive. I balanced the egg on the nail and got my certificate but couldn’t walk the straight line. It was my birthday and Diana even surprised me at the end with flowers! Overall, a great tour.
We loved our day with Ivan Gerald! He was an excellent guide through the different sights and he provided us with different information. We also very much enjoyed all of his recommendations and the place he took us for lunch!
Ivan our tour guide was amazing and knowledgable giving us a very personalised experience- we had the best day! Loved all the sites.
Good activities. Diana, our guide, was excellent . Loved the museum at the equator - good info and lots of fun
Very personal tour was just myself and one other lady Luis is an incredible guide has so much knowledge of Quito I highly recommend this for anyone who’s only got a short period of time in Quito.
We had an absolutely fantastic day with Ximena!!!!! Perfect in every way. Ximena was very thoughtful and helpful. Good explanations and interesting information. This turned out to be a private tour and was VERY good value. Very highly recommended +++++++
We had a wonderful time seeing all the wonderful things in Quito. Our guide was wonderful and full of knowledge and he spoke English very well. Which was great since we had been in Ecuador for about 12 days and hardly understood anyone. He also took us to an amazing lunch place in the city.
Great trip, guide Diana was very knowledgeable. Hike was challenging to get to the swings. Cable car lovely 18 minute ride. Amazing view of Quito from up above. Walk with water, have some coca tea. Chocolate tasting was amazing. Best brownie ever. 10/10
The guide Juan was very nice and friendly. The guide very well knew all the places to see. I enjoyed the cable car to the mountains from there you could see the entire city. The old section of Quito is very beautiful.
Wonderful and leisurely coverage of the Equator Museum, Cable Car with a hike and Old Town Quito. Fair amount of being on feet but not hard. Our only comment is that entry fee should be included so one doesn’t have to stand in line to buy tickets every place especially when it’s busy. It’s a guided tour so it should include water bottles too!
The tour was awesome. Ivan was very informative, patient, kind and personable. My wife and I have been on tours alll around the world and Ivan was the best tour guide we 've ever had.. This tour is a must do. If you're in Quito, if you get Ivan as a tour guide it a great plus.
We had an interesting and cool time in Quito. We learned a lot from the city's vast history and culture during this tour. We went to the San Francisco plaza, the city center, walked around the streets, churches, the Panecillo, and to the Middle of the World visitor center. In all this was a super nice and cool way to know Quito and many of its landmarks. I'd like to thank Diana our guide , she was very attentive, dynamic, fun , and very knowledgeable of Quito and Ecuador. She even took us to a restaurant to try local food which by the way was delicious 😋. This was definitely a nice tour.
We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was awesome!! The tour included a very nice variety of activities.
Best tour guide that taught us an immense about history, Ecuador and the equator. Tour ended up being just us, so she was flexible adapting. Went to panacea instead of cable car due to weather - truly special day.
It was a great day, we have seen the best parts of Quito and our guide was very friendly with a great knowledge about the city and the Country . We enjoyed our trip very much and highly recommenced this City tour.
We had a great day filled with activities! The Quito Old Town walking tour was beautiful, and our guide Diana was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and the people. The tour up the cable car was well worth it - we could see the vastness of the city and then got to watch the clouds and rain roll in. The visit to the equator was really interesting and our guide Brandon made the visit exciting and fun! We’re so glad we signed up for this full day tour- if you can request Diana to be your guide, you’ll absolutely enjoy the day! She was a fantastic guide!
Ivan is friendly and knowledgeable, safe driver as well. Had great times That’s all. I have nothing else to say
This tour had a nice mix of culture and natural beauty. Our guide Deanna accompanied us on the cable car to have amazing views of the city of Quito down below. She offered to take pictures at all the sites where we stopped, and provided interesting historical and cultural information, mainly on the Old Town and cathedral parts of the tour. We were offered a chocolate tasting experience for $5 each at Yumbos Chocolate on the plaza in front of San Francisco cathedral, which was a tasty addition! Our final stop was the Middle of the Earth interactive outdoor museum at the equator. This was a mix of history, culture, and scientific experiments lasting about one hour. Overall it was a very enjoyable tour, and we would recommend it as a good overview of Quito!
The guide was great. She was very informative and patient so we learned a lot and was very entertained. An overall very good experience. The middle of the world tour was fantastic.
It had a lot of variety and covered various areas of Quito. Old town was fun we went to various sites visited the chocolate factory. We took the tram up to the mountain the hiked up further where we could see at least 4 volcanoes. We went on the swing. Had lunch went to a museum and to latitude 00.00. It was a great day. XImena our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience very special
A great way to see the city without planning and organizing your own transportation. Middle of the World is short, sweet and so worth it. Cable car views are amazing and the weather changes up there every 10 min, finally the tourist the city gives great insight into the history of Quito. What an amazing city.
First of all, I truly believe this tour is a must! You get to see and experience the main attractions Quito has to offer. The whole tour was delivered in the best possible way — a perfect combination of professionalism and kindness. Both our guide and our driver were warm and welcoming. Our guide, Diana, was amazing! She has so much knowledge about the history of Quito, she looks passionate about it and she kept sharing valuable information throughout the tour. She spoke very clearly, and everything was easy to understand. I’m really grateful for the way she treated me and for everything she taught us. Thank you :)
Ivan(Gerald) from the beginning was impressive with his warm personality and extensive knowledge of Quito and the history. He was personable, friendly and was an amazing tour guide. We were lucky to have him all to ourselves and were able to do a chocolate tasting. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Ivan/gerald
Punctual. Good with communication. Lovely guide. Knowledgeable and helpful. Really valuable, comprehensive experience of this fascinating city.
If I could give this tour 10 stars, I would! Our tour guide Michael was spectacular. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and accommodating we invited him to lunch. I would ask for him to give us a tour again. A must do!
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Hugo made it very special - although we had a lot to get through, I never felt rushed. Hugo has over 20 years experience doing this and it showed. Each of the three events left a huge smile on my face. Hugo‘s knowledge of Quito, history, geology and generally all things South American was most informative and engaging. I cannot recommend this tour enough, especially if you’ve got limited time in Quito. I have been travelling through Latam for almost 3 months and this was certainly amongst the best tours.
Great overview of Quito, the religion, the culture, history. great sites of Church, Cable Car. Visit to Museum of Middle of Earth; very interesting ! Miriam, very good guide, knowledgable.
Tour was excellent and as described however we were unable to do the cable car experience due to an electrical storm. This meant we had longer having a lovely lunch and walking around Old Town, including the amazing Gold Church. Our guide was Diana and she was very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great day out.
Ximena was super awesome, and welcoming. We felt like we were discovering Quito with an extended family member. We never felt rushed, as our daughter was not feeling well. Ximena had us experienced the traditional easter soup called Fanesca, which we absolutely enjoyed. We spent an amazing time with her. We highly recommend her services.
Myriam was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. She truly showed us the city and the gave us so many insights and nice adventures
My tour guide, Michael was great! He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I was the only person on the tour, so it was very customizable.
We had an excellent guide to start off. She was very knowledgeable and helpful for everything that we needed to know as first time visitors of Ecuador. The memories that we built during this visit wouldn’t be as enjoyable and memorable without Ximenez’ help.
We booked this tour on-line and in advance as it covered the things we wanted to see in Quito in one convenient package. We were expecting a number of people on the tour, but it turned out that we were the only two, We found the meeting point at Plaza Foch about 12 minutes walk from our hotel (JW Marriott) and our guide and driver, Andrès found us. With only 2 passengers, we were in a comfortable sedan. We rode the cable car (remember, you pay your own entry fees in $US on top of the tour cost), swung on the highest swing in South America, walked through old town to see the historic buildings and try some chocolate, and then drove us out to the Mitad Del Mundo (Equator Centre) (which was great fun - again pay your own entrance fee). Andrès was great. Took our photos, etc. We were very happy with this tour.
Our day started by being met by our guide and driver, Michael. We were the only two on the tour. Michael started by taking us to the Middle of the World, an informative tour explaining the equator. Next we went to the cable car and Michael accompanied us explaining the history of the mountains and volcanoes. We enjoyed lunch in the old town followed by a guided walk of the old historic centre, viewing many churches and buildings of historical importance. At the end of the day, Michael delivered us back to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Quito.
Our guide, Huego was excellent! The tour was very personable and we enjoyed very much! Truly recommended. Thank you.
All highlights of Quito covered in 1 day. This tour is perfect if you only have few days to tour Quito. The meeting point was a little difficult because we had no phone number for the tour guide picking us up, but we called the tour company and they put us in contact with someone. They were just running about 10 minutes late. We visited both the new and old equator lines. Historic district tour was amazing. Our guide had the hook up to the good spots to get better views of the downtown square. We had delicious sandwiches recommended by our Tour guide. We went to a chocolate factory and bought the best chocolate in Ecuador. We did not do the cable car because our guide advised us it was not a good day due to the clouds. Instead, he took us to a look out point where we were able to see all of Quito from above and the Angel overseeing Quito. Overall, great Quito experience.
Juan was a superb guide. His in depth knowledge was amazing. Overall we had a phenomenal day out with Juan, seeing all the key sights, and experiencing the city.
It was great experience , covering the all the major must see points the Cable Car showing the magnificent views from the top 4000m altitude; The Middle World museum very informative and the Quito old city walking tour.
Ok first Freddy was the best guide: we had a group of 11 and everyone had time to hang out and learn from Freddy. Every stop on this tour was great . We felt safe and in good hands . Lots of walking. Even a stop for local food.ask lots of questions and learn about this great location. We really wish we could taste everything and see it all . We loved this tour
What a great day. Freddie our guide was really fantastic. He is well informed and knowledgeable on all things in Quito. He made our day very special.
A well organized & thoughtful tour of Quito. We could not have organized this ourselves. Michael was a great guide, giving additional information on places we visited. We really enjoyed the day.
This was a glorified Uber. We could have taken an Uber to all of the locations for cheaper. None of the tickets or entrance fees were included so it made this literally a transportation service. The guide was nice and knowledgeable but even the old town tour, we were just taken to churches in which we had no interest in.
Had an amazing time at cable car, middle of the world and Quito historical centre. Amazing experience and delicious traditional Ecuadorian lunch. Guide very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable
This tour included so much! The views were spectacular and we learned so much about the city and history of Quito
Raul was an incredible tour guide, with great personality. We started with the cable car ride, then a hike up to the swings, then hiked back down. He allowed us to taylor our day and skip a couple of the monuments and spend more time at Mitad del Mundo and the incredible indigenous village tour. We stopped at a wonderful restaurant for lunch before continuing on to the museum. Raul made this a Perfect Day!! Plenty of time to enjoy what was most important to us. 👍
Very inclusive tour. Well done. Perfect. Equator museum and interaction was highlight but the historical district was well worth it also
