We went up the mountain with the teleferico, visited Mitad del Mundo - Intinan museum, saw the Pululahua Reserve and had a super interesting sightseeing tour through Quito’s historical centre. Furthermore we had a lot of fun with our “fiesta de empanadas” for lunch. Thank you Jorge for this extraordinary day :-D

Our travels took us to the cable car in Quito, the latitude zero, the Intiñan museum, as well as a guided tour through the historical city centre, stopping by many incredible churches as well as plazas. We finalized our tour with a wonderful, authentic cocoa experience. Our tour guide, Jose, was not only very knowledgeable, but very personable and a great driver. We left feeling overjoyed with our experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Great sights! Amazing weather with the sun dancing through clouds and teased by intermittent rain! Historic Centre of city is full of energy and vibrant crowds.

We had an excellent private tour with Jorge Sandoval, who tailored our tour and experience to exactly what we wanted. He was a very good communicator and gave us great insights not only to what we were seeing, but all of our other questions about Quito. He accommodated the pace that we wanted to set. He also gave us a briefing of Ecuador outside of Quito, which was interesting. An altogether excellent experience.

Jose was our guide and he was very friendly and personable. He loves what he does and it shows. Due to forecast, he rearranged the itinerary so we could do the Telefonica first to avoid rain - which by the way we loved !!! You have to do the swing !!!! Loved the center of the earth too. And oh by the way José had a lot of connections to get the best parking so we were able to enjoy every bit of each site to the max

I can not recommend this specific trip with Jorge enough! This is a family owned business that pours their lives into not only their business but the community as well! He took us to all the places, answered 100000 questions about the culture that we had not just structures, and was a delight to be with! They strategically have the tour planned out to be opposite of the massive influx of people you would typically see. It makes for a very personal and enjoyable experience rather than feeling crowded at each location. I left feeling as if he was part of our family.

Tour started on a good note with very small group of 3 others + myself + driver cum guide. Visited independence square, church of society of Jesus, San Francisco church, Jesuit church, TelefriQo to up the mountain above 14000feet than to middle of the earth equator line. We had an excellent tour with Pamela Rivadeneira. She met us promptly at the scheduled pickup time. She was very knowledgable and periodically checked on our physical condition due to our lack of acclimation . The view from the top of TelefériQo was fantastic. The Basilica and the walking tour of the Old Town was pleasant and extremely informative, not just historically but also the chocolate tasting. It definitely was an amazing day.

Guide was very knowledgeable and flexible. We could modify the itinerary as desired. The guide spoke excellent English and was easy to understand. The tour was worth while.

A wonderful full day overview of Quito! We walked the Old Town, exploring the beautiful churches. We climbed to the top of the basilica for the spectacular view. We took the TeleferiQo cable car to the top of the Pichincha volcano where we hiked to the top where there are swings with an amazing view of the city. We had a delicious local lunch of chicken and potatoes and corn that were grown in the volcanic soil. We ended the day at the Intinan Equator Museum, where we stood on the 0 equator line and learned a lot about Equadorian history and culture. Jorhe picked us up right on time. He was engaging and very knowledgeable about his country and everything we visited, answering our many questions. I highly recommend booking a tour with Footprint Journeys Ecuador!

I’ve been to Ecuador so many times, but never visited the city on Quito. Jose was a welcoming, kind & informative guide and was a pleasure to spend the day with. We covered a lot and it was a great day! Length was just right after 18 hours of travelling the day prior. Would definitely recommend especially if you are only in Quito a short time!

Very friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed guide who took two people on a tour as advertised around Quito. The all day trip is ideal for people who want to visit the old town and two main attractions in Quito (the trolley ride and the 0 degree latitude monument). All admission fees were included. Great experience, but was on the pricy side for this particular trip (early September).

What an incredible way to spend a day in Quito. I had a 36 hour stop over on my way to the Galápagos Islands and decided I’d go and see the city instead of being bored at the hotel, and what a great decision this turned out to be. My guide (José) was in touch at all times keep me updated on collection times and meeting points and making sure I brought the right clothing etc. he was superb from start to finish and you could not hope to spend a day with a better guide. He had the perfect balance of knowledge and humour, kept the tour moving at whatever pace the three of us in the group set, there was no rush, no push, a perfect babble. His friendly and charming g manner and not to mention his “secret” parking space that saved us a fair few steps. 🤣🤣 The tour itself was excellent with cable cars, llamas, volcanoes , chocolate and smiles everywhere. It was one of the best day tours of a city that I have ever done, Quito is a gem of a city with so much to offer, this is a perfect taster for anyone on an any sort of time constraints. Everything was a highlight, all so different. If you have any doubts, just book it and go, the walks aren’t to taxing and there’s plenty to see and do. I went mid September and even at 4000m it was pleasant in shorts and a long sleeved wicking top. Put simply, one heck of an amazing day.

This tour was amazing. My partner and I had expected a group but it ended up just being us and the guide Jorge. We did a pretty good walking tour of the historic part of the city where we viewed multiple churches and we did a chocolate tour as well before moving onto the middle of the world and the cable car tour. Ps: this review is a week later so it's not fresh in my mind anymore so forgive me if I miss some of the activities we did. The cable car ended in a swing over the side of a volcano which was great. All admission fees were included which is why we booked so a plus there. The atmosphere was great but believe them when they say to dress warm. Wear layers so you and add and subtract as you need. Overall, we were very pleased with the tour and would book it again. Jorge's English was great and he gave us lots of information and answered all our questions. 10/10. A lunch hour was included but we weren't hungry so we just used that time to head back to the hotel but I'm sure your guide is happy to suggest some great spots for lunch.

Jose our guide was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable and made our trip extremely interesting. We had some great conversations and he tailored our trip perfectly to our needs. Nothing was too much effort for him. Do ask for Jose if you book this trip. He is fantastic.

I had such a great day on this tour. My guide, Jose, was very knowledgeable and kind. Everything was very well organized. I had concerns about reaching the swing due to altitude and he was so kind and patient and encouraging. I made it up there and had breathtaking views and a yummy empanada. I feel like the day was packed with beautiful sites and interesting experiences and am so happy I chose this tour.

We had a fantastic first day in Quito with Footprint-Journeys, tailored perfectly for the six of us, ranging in age from 9 to 80. Pamela, our guide, and Jefferson, our driver, did an amazing job creating a day with something for everyone. Pamela was incredibly knowledgeable and even helped our group get through the cable car without a long wait. Jefferson whisked us efficiently and safely around the city. Everyone loved the chocolate tasting, a fantastic lunch featuring local cuisine and beautiful outdoor seating, and exploring the Equator and museum, which the kids especially loved. We felt informed, comfortable, and very well taken care of throughout the day. A fantastic introduction to Quito and a great way to experience the city as a family!

Jose was excellent, he made me feel completely relaxed. His approach is relaxed and informative, he made sure we got to all the points of interest and that I felt safe and informed of what else is going on around Quito and equador. A VERY GOOD GUIDE.

I booked it on TripAdvisor. Very painless. The tour is booked in US dollars. It seems a little pricey for the geography, but most people onlycome to this country and the city once in their life so spending a little extra isn’t a big deal. Jose was my tour guide and arrived early (a plus) I was running late (sorry Jose!). He was very cordial and helpful, and we got on the road immediately to make up for some last time. His car was clean and reliable, and he was a safe driver. I speak Spanish so no communication issues, but his English is very good as well. First stop was intelligently selected as Middle of the World tour and next stop the museum. That took up about two hours of the tour. That was more than enough time to do the tours, see museums, and pick up a couple of gifts for people back home. He waitedoutside patiently with no rush. Next step was downtown for a walking tour of the cathedrals. Easy pace. He’s very knowledgeable and was helpful and pointing out some of the better places to get some quick but fairly economical and delicious places to eat. He has a very good knowledge of the city. Tour ended with a tour of the chocolate factory He’s very helpful taking some good pictures for me and providing any help that he could. He dropped me back off at the hotel and we had a very efficient and great tour. I would highly recommend booking this agency and if you can, ask for Jose..

Jorge was perfect guide, Program was diverse and nice.

We had a really good experience with our tour guide Adrian at Cotopaxi. He was very nice and experienced. He found a great route for the hike, and he was good at challenging us. The horseback riding was only decent. We didn’t have any experience, so it was fun to try, but it quickly got a little boring.

This tour was awesome and we hit all of the Quito highlights in 1 day. We especially loved the Top of the World Swing and the Chocolate Tasting. Thank you Jose for a wonderful day and thank you to Footprints Journey.

Jorge was our guide for a private day tour of Quito. Our pickup was at an airport hotel, which made scheduling and paying for the tour a bit more complex. But communication was excellent. Pickup was timely and well-coordinated. Jorge was knowldegable of all the sites visited and was very good at educating us. Having all admissions included in the tour pricing is appreciated. Pamela our guide was fantastic. Her love for her city and the knowledge she shared was great. With the weather not in our favour in the morning, she was quick to rearrange the day so that we got to do everything planed in the best weather.

We did the full day city tour of Quito including the admissions to the main attractions. We had a great day with Jorge, he was knowledgeable and funny and the tour was well organized. It ran smoothly having our admissions included and Jorge provided us with lots of information for each location. We had a wide variety of locations for most of Quito’s most popular places. Our lunch stop was a great place with local foods that added to a full immersion of what Quito has to offer!
