Esteban is an excelent guide. He's very knowledgeable, kind and considerate. Unfortunately some of the streets and venues were close due to de visit of a president. Not of his fault. Highly recomend him.

Jose was an extremely knowledgeable guide and gave us interesting facts about Quito’s and Ecuador’s history along the way! The e-bikes were easy to use and helped with the steep hills of Old Town Quito. He is also a very kind and caring! He provided us a chocolate tasting session and showed us a cute little bistro with the best sandwiches. We had a great discussion with him over a lunch break! Jose sent us a video picture montage of our tour afterwards with pics and videos he took while we were biking. Our whole family had a great experience, thanks to Jose! We love taking bike tours around when we travel in Quito city we came across Jose who offers e-bike tours. He came to our hotel and was waiting outside for us at 9am with some fantastic German made e bikes which he stressed is probably the latest you want to start as a four hour ride puts you right into the typical rain time. Jose took us to all four corners of Quito we rode streets,roads,bridges and he made many stops along the way to talk about history of Quito. We found Jose to be happy, smiling, warm and friendly. We got to the other side of town and he stopped and treated us to a great cup of coffee and a sweet which was great. He then took us to the nicest, biggest market we have ever experienced all kinds of fruits, veges, fish and meats he pointed out how many different tomatoes, potatoes, squash and such we had no idea there are so many different types of some of these. We stopped at kids practicing salsa dancing and people playing music on the street Jose was singing and having as much fun as we did. If we ever venture back this way I will not hesitate to ask Jose to not only do a bike tour but he also does driving tours had we not already booked for our next tour to Mindo we would of definitely asked Jose to show us around. This was a memorable experience that we won’t forget. THANKS JOSE

We are very thankful for Jose, making our vacation memorable and our time in Quito so much fun. We originally booked a bike tour with another company, but after we saw this option for eBikes, we booked with ebikecuador. Jose was our guide and he did an amazing job making sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and that we were safe. The traffic in Ecuador is not as chaotic as some other cities we visited, which was nice. We did have a few moments where we needed to cross streets and Jose was careful to make sure that traffic was stopped and we were all together. After biking Quito, we are very thankful that we booked an eBike tour vs regular bikes. The city is quite hilly and some areas it felt like we were climbing stairs. It would have been much less relaxing and enjoyable with a regular bike. We ended up enjoying our day so much that we booked time with Jose for the following day so he could take us around Quito on a guided tour. He brought us to the Quito Cable Car - TeleferiQo, to a local market, a restaurant for lunch, and then to the Equator museum. It was an awesome day and Jose was eager to make sure we had a wonderful time. Thank you Jose!

We took this tour of Quito on e-bikes our first day in Ecuador and what a fantastic decision. Jose Luis was a knowledgeable and flexible guide. He was full of stories, history, and cultural facts. He was also super adaptable to us. We were the only participants so basically benefited from a private tour. He stopped frequently and repeatedly asked if we wanted to do this or that, take a break or continue, take the van back or ride back, etc. In addition to the standard “attractions” around Quito, he took us through the market and explained Ecuador’s agriculture - pointing out fruits, nuts, vegetables and fish as well as herbs and natural remedies. The protected bike lanes of Quito and the electric assistance of the bikes made this a pleasurable way to get some exercise but not overdue it on the hills of Quito and was a superb introduction to the history, architecture, agriculture and politics of Quito. We can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful way to explore Ecuador!

Without doubt one of our favorite trips!. The morning after we arrived we were warmly welcomed by, Jose, and Pablo, who picked us up at our hotel. We were welcomed with such a friendly atmosphere and we had a fantastic start! Jose was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had two great days together which obviously also added up to our great experience. Jose is such a warm personality and a highly motivated and knowledgable guide (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed learning and listening about the country and the different areas we drove through. The scenery was beautiful and the e-bikes and guide were so prepared for the climate and our safety during our ride in Antisana. Jose lent us gloves, jackets and a back up van when we needed to rest from the challenges of the elevation. He was so accommodating The tour continued with a stop at a local restaurant, which was a very authentic and delicious Ecuadorian meal. The atmosphere was so special that it really felt like we were guests at a family home. All our expectations and gratitude for Jose,who does a great job ; is a true example of an excellent tour guide and leader for anyone who is looking for adventure and excitement. E biking with Jose Luis is a must do in Quito if you have any aptitude for biking. The e bikes are supper high quality from Europe and Jose Luis is an expert guide with a passion for his city and country. We loved touring around the city with him. On an e bike you cover tons of ground and he can customize the tour biased on what you’d like to see. Felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommend this experience. We also did e biking in Cotopaxi national park which was totally different but equally as good.

What a perfect way to explore a new city! I convinced my friends to join me on this tour on our first day in Quito. Even though some of them are not big into biking and are not that athletic, everyone loved it! The e-bikes are great quality and they make it easy for everyone to keep up no matter their level of fitness. We were lucky enough to have 2 tour guides, Jose and Andres, and they both shared some really interesting and unique perspectives on their city with all of us. For a group of people who knew almost nothing about Quito this was a great way to get our bearings. After biking through several different neighborhoods and parts of the city, Jose took us to a market where we had a beer, tried some amazing fruits we had never heard of before, and shared a traditional Ecuadorian lunch. The tour started and ended at our hotel which was so convenient! I highly recommend this tour especially if you are a first time visitor of Quito!

We just returned from a two week vacation in Quito and the Galápagos Islands. We did a private city tour before the islands and this E-Bike tour afterwards. This E-Bike tour of Quito was a highlight! Jose was so much fun, not only to us but to everyone we met along the way. The E-Bike were great on the hills and handled great in the traffic. And we weren't stuck in traffic! He took us to several different neighborhoods! It was a great way to see and tour the city along with a local stop for refreshments. It was a great day and we would highly recommend if you can ride a bike!

Jose was the best thing about this tour! He was reliable, extremely knowledgeable about everything in his country, lots of fun, and just an all-around nice guy. My wife and I came to Ecuador to climb the many high volcanoes. As a part of our tour we spent our first day learning about the amazing city of Quito and also Ecuador with our extremely knowledgeable guide Jośe—Luis. We were able to see so many places throughout the city on the very easy to navigate e-bikes. We really appreciated the assist up the many hills of Quito. If we were walking or riding regular bikes, we would not have been able to see as much. Jośe brought the culture and history of Quito alive, we loved how he helped us interact with locals and that he took us off the normal tourist track. Jose Luis was very accommodating to our slight altitude sickness, even though we were in Quito more than 36 hours! The eBikes are high quality and he made certain we were comfortable with operation. He was knowledgeable about Quito & Ecuador history, culture and all environmental issues. In addition to the architectural sights we visited we stopped at parks and learned about the geography and points of interest. Highlights included a visit to artisanal chocolate tasting, ecological exhibit of endangered frogs of Amazon jungle and Panama hat weaving exhibit (and shopping we requested). He recommended a tasty, clean and great place for lunch. Highly recommended activity!

We spent over 6 hours with Jose Luis on our e-bike tour of Quito. We are seasoned cyclists but opted for an e-bike tour which we knew would allow us to cover a far greater area and far greater heights in the elevated and mountainous amazing city of Quito. By simple good fortune we booked our tour for a Sunday which we learned is a day of cycling in the city of Quito. Most of the streets within the center are closed to vehicular traffic for the day (until 4 pm) so we were able to ride the length of the city including a climb to the Virgin of the Panecillo statue overlooking the city below. Jose Luis was very knowledgeable of the history of the city of Quito and the country of Ecuador and made the tour exciting and enlightening. We enjoyed Jose Luis’ company so much we even invited him to join us for a delicious early dinner at a great restaurant that he knew of. Simply put, in our opinion, the value received from Jose Luis’ tour, including fantastic 1 minute video of our day’s highlights, was incomparable to any tour we have done throughout the world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Ecuador ebikes and Jose Luis are a MUST for any visit to Quito. The electric bikes make getting around easy for any fitness level. It’s wonderful to be in the fresh air and see the sights, smells and interactions you wouldn’t get from a car or tour bus. Quito is extremely cyclist friendly and with Jose leading the tour we felt safe and looked after. Jose is an incredible guide with amazing knowledge and enthusiasm for his country and city. We spent a lot of time laughing at the banter and interactions with people on the street, we never would have met had it not been for Jose’s personality and spirit. Quito is a vibrant, diverse city and the ebike tour let us experience it first hand. It was wonderful to see both the Old and New Town and eat with the locals. Ecuadorean’s are a lovely, open, friendly people. We had an amazing time with incredible food and have felt welcomed and safe everywhere we have been.

This is a must for anyone visiting Quito. Jose is a brilliant guide, he has an amazing way with the locals and we often found ourselves having a laugh with people we wouldn’t have met if not for Jose. He is very knowledgeable and has a passion for his city and the Ecuador wildlife.

Fabulous day seeing sights that we wouldn’t of otherwise seen without the ebikes or our guide Jose. We learnt lots of facts about Quito and Ecuador, stopped to taste chocolate, eat Ecuadorian food and drink coffee. Jose was a great guide and we had lots of fun. Fabulous bike around the city seeing sights that we probably wouldn’t of done without the ebike and Jose’ knowledge. The bike tour with Jose in Quito was a very good experience. Jose is a fascinating guide and an amazing person, Fun to travel with, learn, laugh and just talk. Jose knows the city in detail and the bike ride is fun and not difficult at all. Recommends a visit to the Brownies House;)

We had a blast. Jose was an amazing guide. That was the highlight of our trip to Ecuador. He took us to everything we asked him to see. Plus, he took us to some cool places we didn't even know about. My wife has knee trouble. And, the ebike was very easy. We had a wonderful time. He even brought us water bottles and showed us a cool little brownie shop. The brownies were great!!! You will have a blast!!!

This was such a great tour!! Jose Luis takes you all around to theee different parts of the city introducing you to different aspects of the city like parks, historical buildings, lookouts and even includes a great gastronomy tour along the way. I would highly recommend this tour as it is a lot of fun and very inclusive with the sights!
