It was an amazing day, made even better by our guide Ayrton! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and just fun to spend the day with. Cotopaxi National Park was stunning as was the Quinoa lagoon. The day was seamless thanks to Ayrton. Would highly recommend this trip and especially Ayrton.

Great tour and love how knowledgeable Irene was. Kept us on track and safe for 3 days.
Irene and David were fantastic. Irene was so knowledgeable and knew so much information about everywhere we went. English was fantastic. David was a great driver.
Ireland and David were amazing best guides ever.
We arrived in Quito a couple of days before flying to Baltra for our Galápagos cruise. After making our reservation, we switched hotels, but the company quickly adjusted our pickup location without any issues. Our guide, Ayrton, communicated with us through WhatsApp, and everything was seamless from the start. Before beginning the tour, he took the time to learn more about us and what we wanted from the day. He listened carefully and adjusted several activities based on our interests and preferences. Ayrton is only 28, I believe, but this young man was truly outstanding. He knows the history, geography, weather, and topography of Ecuador exceptionally well. Just as importantly, he understands what excellent service looks like. We could not have asked for a better guide!
I truly had an wonderful time on this experience. I'd never be comfortable navigating the drives on my own, so having Ayrton there getting me to the gorgeous locations I'd otherwise miss and providing all sorts of help and insight, was an absolute blessing. I'd highly recommend this experience and Ayrton!
This was an amazing 1 day tour. Not only were the sites incredible to visit and experience but Ayrton - our guide - made the journey even more enjoyable. He was informed, knowledgeable, patient, friendly and helpful along the entire trip. If you take this one day tour take with Ayrton you won't regret it.
Ayrton Gave great information was very accommodating and was very knowledgeable in many topics. It was a great experience to see these mountains. I loved it!
Andrew was a great guide- very informative and enthusiastic. David was a very safe driver. Highly recommend this tour- great way to experience some of the Andean highlands in one day.
Very interesting trip. Good views of Cotabato and the crater lake was interesting to see. Very long drive, but fun to see parts of Ecuador along the way. The guide provided details about the areas we drove through which made it interesting. Also opportunities for shopping for local crafts and goods. Nicely done.
This tour was great! Our guide was awesome - enthusiastic, friendly, and flexible with how we spent our time. The volcano and surrounding area are beautiful! Cindy in the front office is just wonderful! She is so warm and friendly and arranged everything for us perfectly. Highly recommend this tour and QuitoTrip!
WOW This tour deserves a million stars!! Andres and Jimmy picked us up on time and off to the volcanoes we went. Andres was a wealth of knowledge and his English is perfect. The tour took us to Cotopaxi first and the views were spectacular, then to Quilatoa and it was equally superb. I highly recommend this tour for an amazing experience, you will be satisfied, guaranteed!
This was an amazing experience. Our guide Miriam was great and very informative. The views were amazing. The local people are so friendly as well.
It was such an amazing trip. Gorgeous view of Otopaxi and Quilotoa crater lake. Between these two places it was a long drive. Diego did a great job on it, a good guide and a good driver at the same time. He also helped taking photo's for us in addition to telling us the history of the country and the vocanos. Lunch was delicious too. Highly recommend this trip and highly recommend Diego.
Our trip to Cotopaxi and Lake Quilotoa was amazing! Our driver and guide, Pedro, arrived right on time at out hotel and it ended up being a private tour with just my wife and I! Pedro was very knowledgable and filled us in on a lot of information about Ecuador and Quito specifically and of course info about Cotopaxi and Lake Quilotoa. He drove us higher up in Cotopaxi National Park (up to the 15,000 ft mark!) to try to get a better view of the volcano and gave us plenty of time there. Beautiful views all over in the park and on the drive there as well. Next, we drove a couple hours to Lake Quilotao. Again, beautiful views of the Andes throughout the ride! We had a delicious lunch at a cute restaurant at the top of the lake. Then we hiked down to the surface of the lake. The views of the lake, which is inside a volcanic crater, are AMAZING! So pretty! The hike down and back up is about a mile each way. Let me warn you that the hike back up is TOUGH! Pedro warned us of this and gave us the option of doing it or not. We love to hike, so we did it and are very glad we did. It was very worth it! If you are not in great shape, you can take a donkey back up the trail for $10. Lastly, we drove back to Quito (about a 2.5 hour drive) and again saw great scenery on the way back. Pedro's driving from spot to spot was very smooth, professional and informative. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
The trip was great and was lucky with the weather so views of Cotopaxi and Quilotoa were fantastic. Andres and Santiago were great and flexible.
Andres and Santiago were great. Andres is super informative and flexible with your preferences. And totally lucky with the weather so had great views during the trip
What a great day! We were nervous that, being the rainy season, we wouldn’t be able to see much of Cotopaxi, but the clouds parted just as we arrived! What a gorgeous sight, and a nice walk around the lagoon. Then we had a nice drive to Quilotoa, which might be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Pedro was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable about the plant and animal life and answered our many questions about Quito and Ecuador. He made pit stops when we needed, took lots of pictures for us, and gave us plenty of time to explore so we didn’t feel rushed. 10/10 recommend!
Our guide, Ayrton, was knowledgeable and spectacular. He kept us safe during all the Quilotoa hike. This was a complete experience that included history, culture, art, adventure, and nature. We highly recommend Ayrton as the best tour guide we’ve ever had.
The experience was great; Pedro, our guide, was very interesting and answered all our questions. Although the weather wasn't perfect, we were able to see Mount Cotopaxi and the impressive Quilotoa Lagoon (beautiful for its color).
My guide Pedro was very knowledgeable and the tour so interesting. We even got to see rare Ecuadorean condors as they circled Cotopaxi volcano - its summit covered in a glacier. We visited the nearby lagoon and he pointed out many birds and flowers of interest. The magnificent Quilatoa was a highlight! A magical day!
Diego is an awesome guide. He showed us so much of Quito in the 10 hours we spent with him. He was knowledgeable, patient, and his English was perfect. He seemed to know where to go to have the best views and the best weather. We could not have had a better guide to see the beauty of Quito.
Diego was an excellent guide. He arrived on time and shared much interesting information about Cotopaxi and Quilotoa and about Ecuador in general. I highly recommend him.
Pedro was an amazing guide, he constantly went above and beyond to make sure I had the best day and tour possible! It was a cloudy day so we drove around and up Cotopaxi to get the best views possible. After Cotopaxi we had a quick view of Quilotoa followed by lunch and then a hike down and back up. Overall 10/10 day made possible by Pedro.
We had an amazing time, Pedro was very knowledgeable and helpful with giving us the best experience possible! We really enjoyed the volcano experience we even got to pet some alpacas.
This was a perfect 2day-1 night! Pedro is exactly the type of guide I like, knowledgeable, informative, not pushy on sales, and did exactly the tour I wanted. One day focused on Cotopaxi and then next on Quilotoa. The hotel was old with a lot of history and we loved the chimney in our room. I 100% recommend this tour and guide!
I had a wonderful time visiting Cotapoxi and Quilatoa with Pedro! He was knowledgeable and very kind! I highly recommend you asking for Pedro and do the same tour.
We had a wonderful day visiting the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa volcanos with the best guide! Pedro was so kind, informative, helpful and fun! We highly reccommend this tour to visitors coming to Quito. Ask for Pedro!
Excellent tour, ask for Irene and Jimmy. The tour started with a seamless hotel pickup at 7:00 am. the first stop along the way was at Cotopaxi. We received a brief orientation at the information post where we also stopped for a hot cup of tea. Continuing on, we reached the viewing area where we were given the opportunity to take some pictures. We were given the choice of going a bit higher or walking around the lagoon and we opted for the lagoon walk. It was a bit cloudy but we still managed to get a few decent pictures of Cotopaxi. From Cotopaxi was a long drive to Quilotoa but the scenery was very interesting to look at. The views of Quilotoa were spectacular. We opted not to go down to the lake as the views from the top were awesome and it was nice to relax and take in the views. The hike to the bottom and back to the top would have probably added another couple hours had we done it. Lunch at Quilotoa was also really good. One of us opted for the set menu option and the other got the potato soup. Both were delicious. We were also given the opportunity to visit a few souvenir shops. The tour ended up taking just over 10 hours to get us back to our hotel. Irene was a fabulous guide. She was very easy to understand and provided plenty of very informative information both during the drives and at each of the stops. Jimmy was a very good driver. We felt very safe for the entire journey and he did a very good job on making the windy roads an enjoyable experience. Overall, it was an excellent trip and a great way to see two of Ecuador's top sites in a single day. If you're pressed for time, this is an excellent option.
I had such an amazing time with Pedro. I went by myself and was able to get a private tour due to slow season which was impeccable. Pedro was everything: he was the guide, he was the driver, lol he was my bag holder. he was my photographer, he was my walking stick, he was the shield to the wind. He told me where to take amazing pictures @robinunravelstravel - Ecuador 🇪🇨 Story Highlights
I had a great experience, Pedro was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable. We drove up to the end of the road on Cotopaxi (approximately 15,000 feet elevation) which was amazing. Had a great hike down to Laguna Quilotoa (and back up again). Would definitely recommend!
Pedro was an exceptional guide during my first visit to the volcanoes in Quito. His knowledge and passion for the area were evident as he expertly navigated us through Cotopaxi and Quilotoa crater. Pedro's insightful explanations about the geological formations and local history enhanced the experience, making it both educational and awe-inspiring. He ensured our safety while providing ample opportunities to appreciate the breathtaking views. Pedro's friendly demeanor and willingness to answer questions made the trip truly memorable. I highly recommend Pedro as a guide for anyone seeking a remarkable adventure in Quito's volcanic wonders.
excellent tour. Pedro is friendly, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. Comfortable SUV. At Cotopaxi we drove to 15,300 feet. Beautiful. Quilotoa is magnificent to see, and the village around it and indigenous town along the way are interesting. Highly recommended.
The Rasu guide was super helpful and knows a lot about the history not only of Ecuador but of all of South America. Best of all was that he spoke Portunhol perfectly with us! Cotopaxi is beautiful d+ and the volcano crater is a place that gives the desire to stay forever. The company Real Dreams was always very attentive and warned of any doubts I asked
Our tour to Cotopaxi and the Lagoon of Quilotoa was simply amazing! Airton was an exceptional and very attentive guide, explaining in detail everything about the points we visited, as well as sharing rich information about the culture, fauna, flora and history of Ecuador. As a wonderful bonus, he spoke Portuguese and demonstrated great knowledge about Brazil, which made the experience even more special and close to us. To complete, we were presented with a day when we were able to see the majestic Cotopaxi and the beautiful Lagoa de Quilotoa before it was covered by the clouds. We highly recommend this tour and especially the Airton guide
It was a unique experience with Pedro guide and guide,to introduce me to the beauties of the most famous volcanoes near Quito...was a contact with the wild beauty of Ecuador nature...Thank you very much Pedro for the valuable information and the excellent tour!!!
The visit is spectacular, we had many expectations with this tour, and they have been covered in scraps, the Cotopaxi, amazing with its corresponding fauna and birds, we could enjoy all of it a little. Special mention for Riqui, we are happy with his service, attentive, friendly, professional, a guide jewel, and the lagoon of Quilotoa, stratospheric, immense, wonderful amazing. Total 10 for the tour and for Riqui.
Quito is very worth it for the surroundings that you can visit and in the city the best thing that you should go to is the Quito cable car and the visit to the Basilica going up to the towers. Both are great and unique experiences. Having visited Mindo, Quilotoa and Baños (go to the Pailon del Diablo waterfall and look for the tree house), made our trip memorable
