A great way to discover some of the beauty of Ecuador. Amazing guiding from Jesica (Cotopaxi) and Irene (Quilotoa). Very knowledgeable and fun people taking good and personal care of everyone in the group. I stayed one night in Rondador, which was a very charming andean hotel. All very well organized. Thank you!

Spent my time on day one with irene and day two with diana. Both days were great, smooth, informative, and to the point. The hacienda in Cotopaxi was very quaint and the staff was exrremely kind. It was nice being closer to quilitoa and getting picked up while the tour was making its way out rather than needing to go out and back to quito. It also gave me time to explore locally on my own terms. A note for those taking this tour, be at altitude for a few days in quito before doing cotopaxi or take some meds to help with the altitude. It is very high and kicked my butt! As for Quilitoa, be in good shape. The hike is no joke. 400m vertical over 2 kilometers. It was beautiful though!
Wonderful experience up Cotopaxi volcano. I would like to thank Irene for being the best tour guide, full of energy and very knowledge about her country, highly recommended. The hike was challenging but worth it at the top for a cup of cocoa. Potato soup was tasty at the food diner, a nice treat after a day of hard work.
Irene lead us through an amazing day through Cotopaxi!!! She was so informative and passionate about her country which made the experience so much better. It was chilly- but worth every step!!
When booked this tour in Feb of 2024 with our guide Adrian and driver Patrick. Adrian was an extremely informed and engaging guide. He is a enthusiastic interpreter of the natural world and a knowledgeable tour guide. Adrian is a wonderful representative of the Ecuadorian people, he took great pity in my poor friend as he struggled to climb Cotopaxi. Patrick is an extremely skilled driver, not once were we stuck in the mud on our treacherous way to the volcano. For our second day we visited Quilatoa and the surrounding community. Our guide was Johanna who exceptionally charming and friendly. She was a wonderful guide and taught us a lot about Ecuadorian culture and language. Everyone we meet along the way made us love the county and want to stay forever.
This is an absolutely amazing tour, partially because of the great Quilatoa lagoon and hike, but also because of our outstanding tour guide, Irene, who is extremely knowledgeable and fills the time with very satisfying facts about food, indigenous practices, indigenous language, etc. The visit to the indigenous household was mind alteringly beautiful and life affirming. What an exceptional day! The hike is very steep to Quilatoa, on the way back, but there’s a horse option if you are not up for it.
Just a really fun tour. Adriene our Day 1 tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and humorous; so was our Day 2 tour guide Dani. The Cotopaxi hike was challenging, be sure to acclimate to altitude in Quito at least two days first, bring appropriate hiking gear and water. Quilotoa was beautiful and challenging as well. After a strenuous week, I elected to ride a mule on the way up. Highly recommended.
It is a great 2 day tour to visit both the Cotopaxi mountain and Quilotoa lagoon. As other reviews mentioned, it was two separate tours each day, but we did get the benefit of having to go back to Quito after Day 1. The hotel the tour dropped us at is a very nice surprise, with beautiful garden and nice Mountain View. Special shout out to tour guide Camila who took us to Cotopaxi. The organizer Grace was amazing as well, and helped us change your dates when our plans changed a couple of weeks prior to arriving. The natural beautiful of this tour is breathtaking. I highly recommend the tour if you have two days to spend to enjoy the Andes near Quito.
1st Day activity included Cotopaxi Volcano base camp hike and it was good and challenging with day 1 guide being also informative. Overnight Hacienda after Day 1 activity was not a good one. 2nd day activity included Quiloatoa Lake hike and it was not as good as 1st day and the guide was kinda of okay.
I did the 2 day 1 night tour of Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. The pros: it was very easy and convenient. Everything was arranged for us. The lodge we stayed in was beautiful. The guides were helpful and nice and informative. The cons: it felt disjointed because it wasn't really a 2 day tour. It was basically 2 separate 1 day tours and they dropped us at a lodge in between. Different tour guides and different people and different vehicle etc. each day. Also not all the tour guides spoke very good english.
This was the perfect way to see Cotopaxi and quilotoa in one weekend. I had two different guides, both of whom were great. We went to all the must see places and I had the chance to meet some other awesome travelers as well.
Everything was simply excellent. The farm was amazing. The Cotopaxi adventure bit was unforgettable. It was my birthday and they even brought a little cake for me and sang happy birthday on the refuge. The following day, visiting the lagoon was an amazing and gorgeous experience. Be prepared to walk miles, which I found amazing. The guides, Ernesto and Manu were so cute and polite, and such fun. They were simply amazing and welcoming, for I was alone and it was my birthday during the pandemics. Everything was simply superb. Thank you so much.
Jonathan our guide was absolutely awesome. We were caught in the demonstrations and he kept us informed at every point. We felt safe he kept his calm and was extraordinarily professional. Miguel the driver was also first class at negotiating with the demonstrators to enable us to get through the blockade. They went above and beyond their job roles on that day. The only reason I gave a four not a five is that due to the demonstrations We sadly did not get to go Quilotoa on my husbands birthday. The company has offered a reimbursement for the untaken part of the trip. Thank you jonathan (22 yrs old acted with great maturity) and Miguel (30yrs old) two great men to be travelling with in a crisis xx
I decided to travel only by equator and without a doubt, it was an experience that I recommend to everyone. With the guides Ire and Pame🙌🏻❤️
Excellent, if you like the quality of the guide, Irene, always in a good mood, dedicated to her group and with great knowledge of her country. One dedicated the best guides I've ever had, and I travel a lot.
EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE GUIDE IRENE. HIS ENERGY AND DESIRE FOR US TO HAVE A GOOD TIME IS CONTAGIOUS. 10 OF 10. EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM GUIDE ALEJANDRO 10 OUT OF 10 A UNIQUE HUMAN BEING AND HIS WAY OF ACCOMPANIING WAS EXCELLENT 10 OUT OF 10
We closed two wonderful tours. On the first day we went to Laguna quilotoa, the guide Mauro is very attentive and intelligent, passed us a lot of information. We made a canoe ride 😃 ̄ impermeable! On the second day we went to Cotopaxi, a beautiful! Mandatory to see. The guide Irene very attentive, friendly and helped us in everything. Made the tour very fun and clear with lots of information about the region. She's a charm! The powerful local guide Carmem climbed it very easily. Ecuador is a beautiful country! We q come to this country and try new things, such as, the meals served on the tour! Great restaurant! Prepare for the cold and for the walk!
It was an excellent experience with the tour guide Mauro in Quilotoa and also with the guide Irene in Cotopaxi. Mauro demonstrated a lot of knowledge and helped us a lot on the way to Quilotoa, it was very worth it, I recommend! Irene gave great information about the place is we helped throughout the journey. It is also very friendly and lively, which made the experience in Cotopaxi much more amazing!
Quilotoa and Cotopaxi are amazing and making this tour with competent guides makes all the difference! Breakfast and lunch are a delight! It's worth every moment of these tours.
It was a unique experience in unforgettable to get up close and personal with this majestic volcano, in addition to the Very Good Service, and excellent tour guides (David and Diego).
