Cotopaxi & Quilotoa 1 Day Adventure!

We had a great experience doing the Cotapaxi and Quilatoa 1-day tour with CarpeDM. The communication with the operator Paul prior to and after booking the trip was very easy and genuine. Paul helped us with various options, even suggesting tours in the Galápagos. Our driver and guide Lincoln was wonderful. He arrived at the hotel right on time. He was extremely knowledgeable about history and culture of Ecuador, and enthusiastically discussed with our family. He was very warm, kind, never rushed, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great trip. Our lunch was included in the tour. The lunch was sumptuous. Highly recommend both CarpeDM and Lincoln.

I had a very enjoyable day driving and hiking down and up Quilotoa. Our guide Lincoln was super welcoming and made sure that he helped speak in English when needed and provided relevant and interesting information about Ecuador and the area. Had a great time and enjoyed Lincoln's company, he is a great guide and excellent at walking up the steep trail from Quilotoa lake!

Excellent 1 day experience. Descent to the base camp wasn't easy but our guide Filipe was giving the group lots of tips. Stunning views and absolutely worth the day trip from Quito.

This was a fantastic tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating, he made sure that we were dropped off at the right location and was willing to make sure that we had everything we needed throughout the tour. He also was very patient and helpful during the hike. He made sure that our journey was safe and that we got to experience the beauty and wonder of Cotopaxi.

The tour was wonderful! Our guide, Alejandro, was very attentive and always helpful, even after the tour! He has all the information and interesting facts about the sights. He knows everything about local plants and animals and told and showed us a lot of interesting things! The tour was private, by car, and Alejandro himself drove it—he's a very good and careful driver. Thank you so much, Alejandro! I hope we'll see each other again on tours to other wonderful places in Ecuador!

Great day with Lincon Amazing tour guide, we visited Cotopaxi hiking all the way up to the glacier! Met amazing people and had a great time everything was perfectly set up

My travel partner and I throughly enjoyed our tour to Cotopaxi, Felipe was fantastic! We felt safe and looked after. Felipe was interested in what we wanted to see and made great suggestions. He even took us to his favourite restaurant for baked Guinea Pig… We also had a 12 hour day of shopping in Otavalo Market , ok 8 hrs when you take into account travel. The Market was fun and quite interesting. Felipe also took us to an area that sold beautiful leather, handmade textiles, coffee and chocolate products… Felipe made a great shopping husband he never said anything about how long we took or how much we spent. Unfortunately he declined our request to come back to Canada and train our husband’s. Neither my travel partner or I would hesitate to have Felipe as our guide to anywhere in Ecuador. We , I had a wonderful trip to Cotopaxi today . The weather was clear but we got to see the volcano a few times before the clouds covered it up. Rodney was so knowledgeable and told us about so many different things. In every group there are people who suffer at that altitude and I was one of them … but Rodney stayed with me every step of the way and I could reach Refugio only with his support . We stopped a lot and took our time to get to the top . 5 star experience . Wonderful start for our adventure in Ecuador.

The full day tour in Cotopaxi with our guide Alejandro was perfect. He is really intertaning and care for his group. He's a good person and gives plenty of informations about Quito, volcanos, altitude sickness etc. I felt safe the entire tour despite Cotopaxi being a little active. I highly recommend them.

We really enjoyed the whole tour (Cotopaxi and Quilotoa) We had a great service at the agency to book the tour and on the tour the guide was very attentive, always being very clear in the explanations, telling a little about the history of the equator and always asking how we were feeling in relation to altitude. It was an incredible experience!

Great time with Alex our guide for the Cotopaxi Day Tour from the Secret Garden Quito. He used the travel time to tell us the legends about the volcanos and Quito. Really interesting. The hike to the base of the glacier was nice. At 2pm we went for a great lunch at the Rondador Cotopaxi Hostel. We booked a room there in order to avoid going back to Quito and continue to the south. The hostel is great and helpfull !

I was in Ecuador, I booked directly with this agency, and from the welcome by the British man naturalized as an Ecuadorian and the secretary, they were very kind at all times. We wanted to visit the Pailon del Diablo waterfall and go to the animal park, and they helped us adjust our schedule to visit everything. Furthermore, we wanted to visit Cotopaxi and the Quilotoa lagoon; everything was incredible. Our driver on two occasions, Mr. Rigo, was very kind, and Stui, also our guide on two tours, was super attentive, always looking to help us, and the explanation was super clear. Also, Alex the guide and Pato the driver were also incredible. I definitely must return and recommend them to my friends; my family is leaving delighted with Ecuador and your attention toward us ❤️ Pura vida … Costa Rica

Felipe is an incredible guide, very knowledgeable, excellent driver. Very kind, he is very knowledgeable and at the same time very well-known. It is a great advantage. I really enjoy that he usually stops to buy from the indigenous people. In addition to helping them, the warmth and kindness they provide is incredible.

Excellent activity experience in the high mountains, extraordinary landscapes with flora and fauna. A flawless organization and very friendly guide Felipe with whom we learned a lot.
