Aryton was a fantastic guide who gave us a locals perspective of everywhere we visited on this tour. Aryton was patient and catered to us specifically. Visiting Cotopaxi and Banos was amazing. Waterfalls, ice cream stop, and a fantastic local lunch all worth the cost. I strongly recommend this tour and recommend Aryton our guide. Thank you for such a great experience. 5 star!!!

A long - but brilliant day! Got to see the volcano peak out from behind the clouds and loved all the many fun things to do in Baños - and with a great tour guide and driver.
Andres and Jimmy the driver two very nice incredible people, tour was arranged good and very easy and smooth Learned alot of information and seen alot of new things.
Wonderful experience and the best way to see as much of Ecuador as you can on a one day trip! Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Everything about this trip was fun. From the volcanoes to the swing in the sky and the cable car ride over the waterfall the day kept getting better
We had a fantastic experience with Ale and Jose on this tour! We saw many sites and Ale was full of so much information about everything we saw. The lunch was the best meal we had on our whole trip! Highly recommend this tour!
We had a fantastic day! Ale was an incredible guide and José was such a sweet driver! Would highly recommend it to others
I spent a glorious day with the dream team: Jimmy, the alert, cautious, and responsible driver, and Andres, the super kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic tour guide. The day exceeded my expectations: I saw and experienced everything I had heard about Cotopaxi and Banos - and then some. I learned a lot and felt extremely well taken care of. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see these two famous places in Ecuador in just one day. And if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be driven by Jimmy and guided by Andres.
Andres and Jimmy were awesome guides!!!! First time to Ecuador and loved every minute. Andres and Jimmy made the most of our day and introduced us to many local places. Just what we were looking for!
We had an exceptional experience! Andrés was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. He made the tour informative and enjoyable, sharing fascinating insights that made the experience truly unforgettable. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend! He even went out of his way to help me with shopping, which was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. Our driver was also excellent—experienced, professional, and focused on our safety throughout the journey. We felt completely at ease and were able to relax and enjoy every moment. Together, Andrés and our driver made a fantastic team. I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was so awesome. He was patient and flexible with our schedule. We saw so much and learned about the ecosystem in ecuador.
Amazing tour, Andres the guide was very knowleadgeable and made sure I was fine. Also Jimmy the driver did a great job, driving safely and was very attentive (e.g. opened the windows so I could take pictures and spotted wildlife). They really want you to enjoy the tour and give you the best experience! Best tour I did in 2 months in south america, highly recommend!
What a day I spent with Andres as my tour guide and Santiago as my trusted driver from Quito to Cotopaxi , Banos and back to Quito. We had a glorious, unobstructed view of the peak and could even see the base camp in the distance. Andres was able to name all the volcanoes and explained the pairing of the male/ female . We then went to the nearby lagoon and saw aquatic birds and native plants. Andres knew so many different plant based natural treatments, especially for altitude sickness. We took the cable car over the Rio Blanco. The Devil’s Cauldron was another highlight! We continued our journey and had lunch at a beautiful clifftop restaurant where the hospitality and views were unmatched. We went to “The End of the World” which was really much more than the swing … I had a very helpful employee who made sure I went way higher than I would have gone on my own power and it definitely brought out my inner child. The area is beautifully landscaped and worth the visit. I learned a lot about Ecuador , its history, its flora and fauna and Andres was the perfect guide. He answered my many questions and always checked to make sure if I needed anything . Highly recommended!! It was the perfect day- from the weather , the sights, the food and my tour and guides- A+!
This tour was simply spectacular. From the start, the organization was impeccable: punctuality, a friendly and knowledgeable guide, and a super safe environment throughout the tour. In Cotopaxi, we visited Laguna de Limpiopungo, a truly beautiful place. Although we couldn't see the volcano because of the fog, the landscape around the lagoon was breathtaking: pure nature, tranquility, and views that were worth every minute of the trip. The guide shared some very interesting facts that made the hike even more special. Then we continued on to Baños, where we had an adventure-filled experience with unique landscapes. The waterfalls, the Pailón del Diablo, and the viewpoints were the best part of the day. There was time for photos, local recommendations, and enjoying ourselves at our own pace. I recommend it 100% to anyone who wants to enjoy the best of Ecuador in a single day. I was delighted!
I had a wonderful tour with my excellent guide, Andrés, and our great driver, Jimmy! Andrés speaks perfect English and was very easy to understand and talk to. He was good at explaining the area and answering questions. He made sure to give me plenty of time at each destination, which was very important to me since this was my only day in Ecuador. He picked me up from my hotel on time and led me to a great place for lunch. I was traveling solo, and Andrés was kind and friendly the whole day. I would recommend anyone ask for him when booking this tour. Jimmy was a safe driver too! I really enjoyed this tour, and hope everyone coming to Quito gets to do it. This tour is especially good because it allows you to see both Cotopaxi and Baños areas in the same day, which other tours do not. Thank you, Andrés, for a marvelous 5-star experience!
What a fabulous day! Our guide, Pedro Toaquiza, was terrific! My daughter, whose been working in Ecuador for a few months, was keen for me to see as much of the amazing Ecuadorian landscape/ecosystem (which ranges from snowcapped volcanos to Amazonian jungle) as possible during my short visit, so we booked this one day tour to see as much as we can. Communication with the company was good and we were able to arrange a vegan meal (lunch is included) for my daughter at the designated restaurant near Baños. They also advised us of what clothing to bring as the climate, altitude, and weather can readily change. Not going to lie, it is a long day! This tour is advertised as about 10 hrs, but it can be closer to 12hrs factoring in road or weather delays. Pedro arrived to pick us up just before our scheduled 7:30am collection. Our first stop was Cotopaxi National Park—about 1-1.5 hrs away. En route, Pedro pointed out all the other volcanos within sight. (There are 84 within 3 hrs of Quito.) It was a very cloudy day and he warned that sometimes you can’t see the volcano well, but the clouds cleared enough to see this beautiful volcano and Stone Face mountain. After a nature walk by the lagoon, we set off toward Baños, which is at the edge of the Amazon region, about 2-2.5hrs from Cotopaxi. Nearing the Baños, an accident on the road (about 15 miles from the town) caused a traffic back-up on the 2 lane highway, but Pedro made a swift detour onto the local road cutting through the valley, which may have been a bit slower (but not slower than not moving on the road above) and provided an extra bit of scenic beauty and adventure to get us to town. My daughter and I had a quick walk through town, before meeting back up with Pedro to head up the mountain to the restaurant for the 2 course (soup/main) lunch. Nice food and the views were incredible! From there we went to the Tree House/la casa del arbol. A bit of an uphill walk, but the tree house was less impressive than the beautiful garden (with mountain-side swings and a zip line) surrounding it. Hummingbirds flit around the exotic flowers—and the views! Incredible! Then it was off to see waterfalls. We stopped at a couple of waterfalls along the road (including a ride on a cable car for a closer look) then went to our final stop—Cascada el Pailon (Bridal Veil Fall and the Devil’s Cauldron) on the Rio Verde. Here, you really get a sense of being on the edge of the Amazon. The power of this waterfall (even during the dry season) is amazing. We hiked to various viewing points, traversing suspension bridges. Some points were a bit wet and steep—there are good railings and steps, but a sturdy shoe would be worthwhile for the closer views. After this, we were ready for the 3hr drive back to Quito. Pedro was a wonderful guide, lovely company, and safe driver. (I’d recommend bringing tissues and quarters to cover any rest stops.)
Getting to know various places in Ecuador was undoubtedly a wonderful experience. The guide was friendly and professional, and the food was delicious.
I couldn’t recommend this trip more. The itinerary was fun and the guide, Ayrton, couldn’t have been more helpful. I would definitely do it again.
Had a wonderful and full day exploring Banos and Cotopaxi. Our guide, Ayrton, even stopped for tortillas on the drive home! Excellent way to see the top highlights in Ecuador from Quito!
This was a great day trip with Diego. Diego provided information about Ecuador and the areas we visited. I would recommend this day trip with Diego.
Unbelievable views. Jimmy and Veronica made the experience incredible. Theyre knowledgeable and kind!
My friend and I really loved the tour, from the locations we stopped to Myriam and Jimmy’s warm and fun company. Myriam is a fountain of knowledge and made us feel very welcomed and at peace. We highly recommend this for the best nature spots and most fun times
Pedro did a great job and was an excellent tour guide showing us all the sites in Cotopaxi and Baños in one day! He even stopped to let us try ice cream in a famous ice cream area. He provided lots of information in English for us and we enjoyed every aspect of the trip! We did a zip line in Baños and he took us to several stops including Devils Cauldron and on a cable car across the river making sure he took lots of photos of me and my friend that he airdropped to us after! Would recommend this tour!
David was a wonderful tour guide! He picked us up on time at the hotel. On the way to Cotopaxi and later Banos, he explained a great number of interesting things, including of historical, cultural, and ecological nature. He drove us safely to all points on our tour, and always pointed out unexpected treasures on the way. David knew the area very well and was well connected with locals, which made it easy at every turn whether we went to a local market, or stopped for ice cream on the way, or when we arrived at the zipline place, or later at Pumamaqui restaurant for dinner. Ziplining over the river was an unforgettable experience; the waterfall at Paillon del Diablo was truly impressive, and the area with the swing at the end of the world was simply breathtaking, with many colorful flowers, blooming hydrangeas and a great variety of humming birds, Casa del Arbol is a Garden of Eden! David did an excellent job explaining the details of every aspect of our trip, and despite heavy traffic on the return journey, he stayed alert and got us home safely. We can 100% recommend this tour, and David as your tour guide.
We had an amazing day on the Cotopaxi and Baños tour. Our guide, Diego was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable of the entire area and had many good stories to share. He felt like a good friend by the end of the day. Our tour lasted 13 hours, and we saw many wonderful things during that time. We were lucky with the weather and were able to see and enjoy Cotopaxi, and were able to see many other volcanos as we drove to our destinations. In Banos, we had a delicious lunch followed by four beautiful and fun stops. The final stop at the large waterfall was amazing. We are so happy we were able to experience it. I highly recommend this tour if you have the time.
The trip is very well organized. Between getting a text the day before, meet up with the driver and all the planned activities. Ricky the guide is very knowledgeable and navigated heavy traffic well. I will definitely book with Ricky again to hopefully check out some of the areas I missed on this short trip.
We had an amazing day in Cotopaxi and Banos! The clouds were not the most cooperative in Cotopaxi to get the full view, but Pedro still made the trip interesting with fun facts and the history of this “young” volcano. Next a beautiful drive to Banos. I cannot say enough about this part of the adventure. The majesty of the waterfalls, especially el Pailon de Diablo! Just Wow! Do not miss this! The cable car across the river and back was absolutely thrilling. The walk up to the Tree House has beautiful views of the Andes Mountains. You literally feel like you’re on top of the world as you swing out into the clouds. Pedro and Jimmy could not have been more accommodating. On a mother daughter trip, we felt safe at all times and Pedro and Jimmy opened the door for us at every single stop. What gentleman! Thank you Pedro and Jimmy for this life memory!
My tour guide was Diego and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and always making sure I am enjoying myself. Although I didn't get to see the Cotopaxi volcano due to weather, Cotopaxi National Park was definitely still worth the visit. Afterwards we went to Banos and it was amazing. The swing at the end of the world, cable car ride and the Pailon del Diablo waterfall. Very impressive. Due to unforseen traffic we had to make some adjustments to the itinerary which Diego was happy to accommodate. He made sure I still get to see all the sights. It was great day. Thank you Diego for making this an unforgettable experience.

Veronica was our guide and Jorge our driver for this 14-hour day trip. They were both warm, helpful, and professional. Veronica was an excellent guide with tons of knowledge about the area. The bus was comfortable with seatbelts and sliding windows to let in a breeze. In terms of what to bring, cash for snacks and souvenirs, sunscreen, toilet paper (not all the bathrooms you go to will have it), hand sanitizer, a sun hat, sunglasses, possibly a rain jacket or poncho, and a water bottle. There is a water cooler to refill from on the bus. Dress in layers with quick-drying base cothes and good walking shoes. It is cold at points and hot at points throughout the tour. You may also get a bit wet from rain and the waterfalls. You will not need a bathing suit or sandals. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate so we were unable to see Cotapaxi by hiking to the shelter or at the lagoon. Still it was a beautiful area. We also got quite lucky with bird sightings. It was a very bumpy ride at many points. This was not the fault of the driver but just the nature of the terrain. I recommend trying to sit toward the front of the bus. If you're prone to motion sickness, bring something with you to help. We did the end of the world swing which is in a pretty garden area. It's a good photo-op but a bit scary. They push you quite hard and spin you on the swing. The guy had to literally jump in the air to push my husband and a friend who are somewhat taller than the average American. There seems to be no official height/size restriction but use your judgement. There are other small swings for children and the less adventurous. The cable car is basically a bucket run with an old Ford pick up engine. It must work because people use it as transport to and from work each day. But I skipped it, instead watching the beautiful birds at the nearby feeders. We saw two impressive waterfalls. It is a hike out to one so be prepared. It involved steep hills, slippery stone steps, an inclined suspension bridge, and a second smaller suspension bridge. We got back to Quito quite late, over an hour after the expected end time. We were very hungry as we had not eaten since lunch (which was the best meal we've ever had on a day trip). There was likely more traffic than usual with it being the day before New Year's Eve.
Pedro, our guide, and Jimmy, our driver, were fantastic! We packed in so many fun adventures in just 12 hours. We would never have been able to see and experience all we did without them! Pedro’s knowledge of the area, his excellent English, and willingness to accommodate us were top notch! We visited Cotopaxi, Banos, lit candles at the Basilica, saw the Treehouse and rode The swing at the end of the world. He took us on an open air cable car to see a waterfall, and our grand finale was visiting the wet, humid, and green jungle while gazing at Devil’s Caldron. We told him we were interested in trying Guinea Pig, so he took us to a restaurant in Banos, so we could experience it! That’s not for everyone, but it shows how flexible Pedro is. It was so nice to relax and let Pedro do all the speaking and driving for us! I highly recommend this tour and Pedro and Jimmy, the dynamic Ecuadorian Duo!
Very Insightful trip Solo trip , was worried it may be awkward but was the complete opposite. Had Carolina as my tour guide, she’s friendly, knowledgeable, and a bubbly tour guide. I know a bit of Spanish but English is preferred, my tour guide was fluent and easy to understand. She also suggested things to snack on during the car ride. She knows a lot about Ecuador, I left knowing a lot more about the people, places ,food and especially the indigenous community. She’s definitely a historical, adventure and city guide she knows her stuff. Lots of places to visit as shown on the list, and each different but with beautiful views. Had fun on the swing although a bit awkward. For the volcano it’s suggest to wear warm clothing especially if you go during wet season as it had very cold wind and also may not be able to see the volcano as it tends to be covered with clouds/fog. Overall, I was comfortable had a good time. She took my pictures and didn’t mind taking extra pictures and took suggestions +tips on how to take pictures. My phone died and I realised I left my power bank in the car so she let me borrow hers for content and also took pictures of me on her one, so she went above and beyond. For the set menu at the restaurant I tend to be picky with food, so I asked her what she goes for out of the two or so options that they provide and opted for the same as hers and it was delicious really liked the grilled fish suggestion. The price is understandable as it’s a very long drive. You get to pass many areas along the journey and get to see interesting sights along the way, you also have a few short intervals (toilet break or to buy snacks etc). Tour guide wanted to stopped at a restaurant where guinea pig is served, until I said I didn’t want any, so she wasn’t going to have it but I insisted since it was a very long car ride and it’s a traditional dish for many. Good trip, Thank you!!!
The experience from start to finish with Veronica and Diego was top notch! They picked us up early in the morning and we begin our journey to Cotopaxi andBaños. There was not a dull moment where we felt bored, rushed, uneducated about the land of Ecuador. We felt safe at all times and we were able to see all of the areas that we desired. They were helpful with finding the locations needed to capture great views and pictures!! Btw, we took tons of pictures, and we were able to have a beautiful pictures of the volcano that day. We had a delicious lunch with Diego our driver, and Veronica. Plus, we had limited time to see certain attractions since we were heading to Galapagos next, so this was great for us to hit both places. We decided to pass on zip lining in Banos. If you are lucky to get Veronica, she is a gem. I've been to 75+ countries and truly appreciate how thorough they were on our tour..
We had such a wonderful day with our fantastic tour guide Ricky. After having some coca leaf tea, we set out on a mission to see Cotopaxi. We felt incredibly lucky that we got a glimpse of the majestic volcano despite it being a super cloudy day. We then walked around Laguna de Limpiopunga, where Ricky introduced some of the regional Flora and Fauna to us. After arriving in Baños, we took a cable car to see a gorgeous waterfall, visited Cascada El Pailón at Rio Verde, and experienced the famous swing in La Casa del Arbol, with a delicious local lunch in between. Given that our time in Quito is quite short this trip, we were really happy to have gotten a little taste of Cotopaxi and Baños through this tour that combined the two. Our guide Ricky was the true MVP, he is knowledgeable about the culture and histories of the places we visited, he took amazing photos for us, he drove for hours in terrible traffic while staying calm and collected, and he just has such a positive attitude and upbeat energy that made our long day fun and enjoyable.
This was a great tour. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable and fun. We had plenty of time to enjoy every activity and more.
I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. We are Black Americans with limited practice in speaking Spanish. As much as we were able to navigate Ecuador with our limited Spanish vocabulary our guide Pam being bilingual (English & Spanish) was a gem we needed. It allowed us to have meaningful conversations about life in Quito & to learn about the rich history of Ecuador. They picked us up from our hotel on time and navigated with ease through several tour stops. Our driver William was the real deal and a co-MVP with Pam. As we passed different sites Pam helped us to better understand what we were looking at. Our tour lasted about 13 hours including the 3.5 drive back from Banos to our hotel in Quito. Despite the long tour Pam remained enthused, accommodating and kind throughout our day. We were traveling as a couple which meant we expected to struggle getting pics of us together. We made several stops and at each stop Pam pointed out some great photo ops for us. As the historian of our relationship it was a welcome relief as it allowed me to truly take in the moments without focusing so much on trying to document it. Pam offered to take pics at multiple photo spots and she also took some amazing candids. Indeed, some of our best pics are the ones she took. She was so brave on the cable car and at the Devil’s Cauldron and she helped us to be brave too. It felt like we had a friend with us which is something I could only repay by telling others to give my friend a chance. I am humbled and grateful for how Pam showed up for us & helped us document several moments including when I leaned on my partner to support me as I faced my fear of rope bridges. Our trip would not have been as great without this experience. It was the peak of our trip and I would buy it again without hesitation.
Amazing trip. Very packed day. If you don’t have a lot of time then this trip is amazing. Pedro. the tour guide is the best we have had in the world. ! Excellent English! Wealth of knowledge. Friendly and accommodating. By the end of the trip pedro was family !!!
Pedro was a wonderful host and very accommodating and knowledgeable. We had such an amazing experience going all over Ecuador, what a beautiful country you all have here.
We were lucky to have great views of Cotopaxi et al, and really enjoyed the experiences at Baños. Wasn’t sure it was worth the extra travel time but town was fun, tree house had great views and swinging over the mountains was a thrill. Pedro was a fantastic guide. He was laid back but very knowledgeable when asked questions. He really loved his job and it showed. Evening travel back into the city was beautiful.
Our first day in Ecuador, we went to see Cotopaxi. The weather was ideal and the clouds parted for us to be able to see the peak! After spending some time there and observing the natural environment, we went on to Baños. The waterfalls are amazing and we took the cable ride across the waterfalls to see rainbows. We got to enjoy local flavors along the way and Ricky did a great job explaining the history of the area. I will always remember the experience!
This tour was a great way to see Cotopaxi and Baños in one day if you are short on time. The views were breathtaking, and at Baños we were able to go zip-lining! Our guides Veronica & William were amazing. Definitely a trip to remember!!
I can not enough good things about this day! It was absolutely amazing! Our guide Daniel, was so patient and kind. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go to the Devil's Cauldron because of the landslide, but the swing at the end of the world was incredible! You must do it! Highly recommend this company! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience!
We had the pleasure of having Pedro for two separate tours. Both went incredibly well and we had the best experience! Thank you Pedro! We will be recommending both tours to our friends and family who may come to visit!
Lovely lovely trip in a super comfortable car with a lovely guide Pedro. The view of Mount Cotopaxi took our breath away .The Ecuadorean roads were so wonderful.Banos was a tourist paradise, such a happening place with lots to shop and eat. The waterfalls were stunning and the cable car ride across the river was the highlight of the trip. Pedro drove us around beautifully and kept informing us about all things needed. The ice cream stop on the highway was also a surprise. Over all a great day out albeit quite long at almost 14 hours but we slept all the way back. Lunch was also yummy ,the trout was delectable . A must do day trip if you are short of time and not want to miss the two attractions. Thank you Pedro .
Highly recommend this tour. It was busy long day but we had fun time whole day. We only have short stay in Quito before Amazon trip. The guide David is knowledgable. We learn lots of history too. The views are beautiful, the lunch was delicious local food. The highlight was the swing, so much fun. The park is beautiful. Highly recommend this company. Communicate is clear. We started on time. It was a long day due to traffic on holiday. The driver Robert drove nice safely.
Our guide Pedro was great! We went to Cotopaxi, Baños and Mindo. He showed us all the good places and explained everything! We really enjoyed our two days with him and would always book it again!
We had a great day with David touring Cotopaxi and Banos. Day was jam packed with photo stops, breakfast, lunch a walk in Cotopaxi, two sets of water falls, a tram, ice cream and a ride on a swing on the side of a cliff. Highly recommend David as a tour guide as he was attentive, engaging and a wealth of information. Thanks David for making it a great day !!
What a great way for us to see more of Ecuador on a tight schedule. This day trip was one of the biggest highlights of our 2 week trip! Be prepared for a long day, but it's jam-packed with gorgeous scenery and beautiful sights. Pedro is a wonderful guide and Javier is an excellent driver. We did the private option for 4 people and had an entire minibus to ourselves.
Cotopaxi & Baños tour is absolutely amazing! Cotopaxi National Park is stunning and beautiful. The park is like a different planet - you feel alone in the world. It’s refreshing. Cotopaxi peak can be tricky to see, you have to be lucky just like any tall mountain peaks but we were fortunate! Baños and surrounding area is a great town and backpacker’s dream destination. The round trip from Quito is gorgeous. The green mountains are adorned with waterfalls and you get to get up close and personal with a couple including the Devil’s cauldron which is easily one of the most spectacular spots we’ve seen anywhere on Earth! Pedro is an incredible tour guide - friendly and knowledgeable and Javier is one of the best drivers around! Ecuador is beyond beautiful and we were lucky to find this awesome tour. 110% worth it!!!
Great driver and guide on a busy holiday weekend using Google maps to avoid the crowded streets. We got to see views that most don’t. Fun stops and the ease of having everything taken care of a big plus.
