Saber- Canada I had a fantastic experience with the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa tours. Both destinations were absolutely breathtaking, but what made the experience even better was the excellent organization and our tour guide. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained the history and interesting facts about the places we visited, made sure everyone was comfortable, and was always available to answer questions. I also appreciated that he gave us enough time to enjoy the scenery and take photos without making us feel rushed. The organization of both tours was excellent. The transportation was comfortable, the pickup and drop-off arrangements were smooth, and everything was well coordinated throughout the day. It made the experience very easy and stress-free, especially as I was travelling solo. Cotopaxi was an incredible experience, with spectacular views of the volcano and surrounding landscape. Quilotoa was equally amazing, especially seeing the beautiful turquoise crater lake from above. Overall, I highly recommend these tours. The combination of incredible scenery, a great guide, and very good organization made both days some of the highlights of my trip to Ecuador. Definitely worth doing if you are visiting Quito!

A very nice experience both at Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. Our guides have been Antony and David. The tours are organized carefully and provide a lot of beautiful experiences. Would recommend 100%
Great guide, explained very well And very friendly. The food places not the best choice
Incredible tour!! We saw so much and learned a lot too. Our guide, David, was so helpful and took lots of pictures for us. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the beauty of Ecuador in a short amount of time!
This tour is a great way to see both volcanos in a small group, sleep close to one and get some interesting insights about the local culture and life. Anthony and Alex were great. We learned a lot, had the options to do some activities (mountain biking, kayak) and meet some indigenous people to learn about their life. Highly recommend
An accessible way to experience Quilotoa and Cotopaxi from Quito. David was an amazing guide and taught us so much about the area, and Kichwa traditions. The views are stunning, and each day is accompanied with a delicious lunch. Highly recommend!
Both days were enjoyable and fun! The overnight hotel accommodation was very nice and quiet. The schedule for both days seemed to run on time (pick ups, drops offs, etc). The first day in Cotopaxi the weather was terrible, but we made the best of it. Our guide Joselo was informative and patient with all in the group. The second day was even better. The laguna is absolutely beautiful and must see! Once again our guide David communicated very well, kept us informed of the day's activities, and was available to answer any questions. I did this to save some time as opposed to doing to separate day trips back and forth to Quito. Both climbs will likely be a bit challenging for beginners, but the downhill mountain biking is not bad at all.
Joel, Anthony, and Alex were excellent! They kept us informed while also keeping a light and low stress environment. Also appreciate them making sure everyone could reach the lagoon and back as well as reach the refuge. Bus, accommodations, and food were excellent. Very good value, no complaints.
I had an excellent experience with Community Tour Cotopaxi Quilotoa. The day before, my guides, Edouardo and his colleague, were fantastic hosts—friendly, well-organized, and very engaging 🤩. Their English was clear and easy to understand, and they managed the group with confidence while always staying approachable and kind. The whole tour was smooth, enjoyable, and very well guided. Highly recommended!
I had such an incredible experience visiting Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip. I loved the adventure. From start to finish, everything was so well organized. The transportation was smooth, comfortable, and honestly relaxing enough that I was able to take a nap during the rides, which says a lot. Huge shoutout to Alex, our driver, who made us feel completely safe the entire time and also was the protector of our belongings. We had 2 different guides, Joel and David, were absolutely amazing, so kind, patient, funny, and knowledgeable. I learned so much on this trip. They made the whole experience enjoyable and never made it feel overwhelming, even for someone like me who isn’t super athletic. They had amazing tips on supplies needed and what to expect. They also did a great job answering all of the questions we had. They really knew how to keep the group motivated while still making it fun and lighthearted. We had a stop for breakfast and lunch at a family owned restaurant (at least I think). The food was also surprisingly delicious and a great added touch to the whole experience. Overall, I can’t recommend this tour enough, 10/10! If you’re considering visiting Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, do it. It’s an unforgettable experience, and with an amazing team like Alex, David, Joel, and Frank, you’ll be in the best hands
Anthony and Romero were both great. The tour was very interesting and I highly recommend it!
Really great 2 days, started with Cotopaxi and went to Quilotoa the next day. They arranged a hotel for 1 night too and it was a very nice place. The tour guide was helpful too.
Great experience. Victor was very informative and the cultural experience was great. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about indigenous culture and sight seeing.
Amazing tour. A combination of the Cotopaxi Hike & Bike tour and the Quilotoa hike day trips. You will stay overnight in Machachi which is closer to these attractions and saves some travel time. The hikes are challenging. The biking in Cotopaxi is not that difficult and was a lot of fun after the difficult hike. Anthony was our guide the first day and Stui the second day and both were great.
2 excellent days.... 1st day with our trip to Quilotoa with our guide "Stui" - estuardo and our really nice Driver (WE can't remember the Name) - but both of them, did make it a Special Trip... Timing was perfect - so we were lucky to visit Quilotoa with sunshine :) The Seconds day we were accompanied again by Antony and Alex - we already did 2 Daytours with them. No more words needed - it was a nice, though exthausting trip, with lovely people .... :) 100% recommandation for Ecosportours and their fabolous Guides and drivers :)
I had a really great time doing these two tours. I went to Quilotoa with Joel and to Cotopaxi with Joel and Victor. I had some issues with the altitude and the guides were great in keeping an eye out for safety. Both places are absolutely stunnig! The tours are very laid-back, if you decide not to do the full trails it is completely fine to stop before the end, no one is pushing you to do it if you don't feel safe. The mountainbiking in Cotopaxi was definitely a highlight. Both times the groups I was in were very welcoming and the overall atmosphere in these tours were amazing! Would definitely recommend doing these tours, but make sure to be acclimatized to the altitude first.
Overall, I had an amazing experience and appreciate our amazing guides for everything they did to made sure we were prepared and had a great time. Everything throughout each day ran seamlessly. Cotopaxi and Quilotoa both require some hiking experience and proper hiking gear/footwear is definitely recommended! 10/10 would recommend this tour to anyone!
SO MUCH FUN!! An Ecuadorian adventure with well-knowledgeable and good humored guides. Hiked up to Cotopaxi base camp and a bit more unfortunately due to unexpected snowfall we didn’t make it to the glacier, but we mountain biked and had a fantastic stay at a local hotel. Only downside was if you hiked down to the lake at Quilotoa there wasn’t much time to kayak or sit around since the hike back up was pretty hard and long. Great weekend highly recommend!!
Brilliant experience. Guides were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The tour was also great value. Cotopaxi was incredible!
Such a great tour, lots of variety and great views. Alex and Joel were fantastic guides, learnt a lot from the tour and enjoyed every minute.
This was one of the coolest guided trips I have ever been on. The views we stunning and the hike was awesome. Got some photos and memories that will stick with me for a lifetime
Our tour guide David was incredible! The views were unbelievable and the experience unforgettable. If you can handle intense physical activity, the Cotopaxi hike is something I highly recommend. Likewise, the view of the Quilotoa volcano was ethereal.
Me and my brother had an AMAZING time!! It was an adventure that we will never forget! We liked learning about the country of Ecuador and stopping at the authentic market as well. Hiking Quilotoa and Cotapaxi was medium level difficulty, and the tour guide was always there if we needed assistance! We had a great time and will remember this trip forever! I recommended biking down Cotapaxi and brining warm gloves and hat and water bottle to bring, but pack light. Thanks David!
Stui our tour guide was engaging, happy, and provided so many history tidbits that made the tours that much more enjoyable. He made our tours so great. Transportation was always on time and comfortable, our overnight accommodation was great, and the food at the restaurants were great. Cotopaxi and Quilotoa hikes were amazing. Stui and other local guides reassured us that we can go at our own pace and if we needed to stop that it was totally okay. One of the best tours I’ve done in Ecuador! Highly recommend to anyone looking to see Ecuador’s beauty.
We had an excellent time visiting Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. The tour guide for each day took great care of the group and told interesting stories during the drives. We had altitude sickness but managed to complete most of the activities. Thanks to Stui for being very patient with us during hike to Quilotoa Lagoon. Communication with tour company was excellent before and during our trip.
All expectations were 100% exceeded! It was amazing. We had a great time, many new and fantastic impressions of the beauty and diversity of Ecuador. Dankeschön to the most amazing and caring Guides, Victor and Alex, who made a fantastic tour possible for us.
Victor and Alex are the best!! They kept us informed, well fed and safe! I did three tours with them and every single one was adventurous and fun! Highly recommend them and equals for!
This tour was incredible! The guides are super knowledgeable and it was amazing to learn about the culture and history of Ecuador. Also, you will get to do things you’ve never done like climb up to 16,000 ft. This was a super special amazing experience- and I highly recommend to everyone! Traveling as a female alone, I got to meet many new friends as well- I give it a 10/10 🙏🏼
I came across Ecosportour while walking around Quito and decided to visit Cotopaxi and Quilatoa with them. All communications were via Whatsapp and they always responded immediately and were super patient with all my questions. Both the guide and driver (both Alex!) were exceptional! Alex (guide) knew EVERYTHING about the volcanoes, their myths/legends, and about Ecuador! Alex (driver) was one of the best and safest drivers I've ever had on an organized tour! Thank you for showing me some of the most beautiful landscapes in Ecuador!
We spent an extraordinary day around the Cotopaxi, with the ascent to the Jose Rivas refuge of the Cotopaxi, the bike descent through the valley, and the discovery of the Limpio Pungo Lagoon. The passion and spirit of David, our guide, were contagious. We thank him for having guided us with such generosity.
I loved it, wonderful agency, I did the 2-day tour and everything was perfect, thank you very much, this is a comment from a very happy Brazilian ❤️ and they even gave me a birthday cake 🎂
An exceptional 2-day, 1-night tour that allows you to discover two of the most spectacular jewels of the Ecuadorian Andes without ever rushing. Day 1: Wonder at Quilotoa The road to the crater offers breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding mountains. The descent to the lagoon is striking, with its emerald waters changing color depending on the light. The accommodation selected for the night was warm, comfortable, and perfectly heated to counter the chill of the altitude, with a stunning view upon waking up. Day 2: The grandeur of Cotopaxi The approach to the majestic volcano is a highlight of the trip. The hike to the refuge allows you to gauge the full power of the site, surrounded by wild and preserved nature. The real plus: An exceptional guide A huge thank you to our guide, whose passion, culture, and constant attention enhanced this experience. His anecdotes about local geology, Andean culture, and his valuable advice for managing altitude made this stay seamless and unforgettable. Flawless organization, a perfectly balanced itinerary, and memories etched for a long time. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing experience at Cotopaxi. Guide Joel knows his trade very well and told a lot of fascinating anecdotes about the history of Quito and the different mountains.
We did a 2 day tour to Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, with Ecosportour, it was a great experience and father visit two beautiful places in Ecuador with stunning landscapes. Our second day Anthony guide and first day Alex driver were very friendly and attentive to us. Joel and Rami also had good care. Something that was a plus for me is that they don’t push you for time and are well organized to fulfill all activities. The hotel where we stayed in Machachi (Sakiwa house) had excellent service, food and very clean. The owner was super friendly. The whole tour was certainly exceptional as well as the meals included. My only recommendation is that on the day of the tour to Cotopaxi (which was the first day) we expected a little more time in the national park as we left at 2 pm, however otherwise I really recommend doing this tour, we are very happy with the attention of the guides and drivers of both days. And as a star, on day two of the tour the company gave me a birthday cake and it was a super nice surprise, which I thank you so much💗🫶🏼Thank you so much!
I had a wonderful experience on my trip to Quilotoa Lagoon. The day started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and excellent organization. During the tour, Anthony our guide shared very interesting facts about Mejia the valley of the 9 volcanoes, which made the journey even more special. We also visited a local community and a viewpoint with amazing views. Getting to Quilotoa was stunning; the color of the lagoon is unique and perfect for photos. Anthony was always on the lookout for the group, especially in the down and up. We finished with a delicious lunch and a very comfortable return to Quito thanks to Ramiro, who handled very carefully. Thank you both for this lovely experience! With love: Nicole:)
I spent 2 amazing days on this tour. It was very easy from the beginning thanks to the attention of Valeria who answered all my doubts by email. During the tour, guide Joel was extremely friendly and attentive to all the people in the group (about 10), and also knows a lot about the region and the local culture. We were also joined by 2 drivers, Ramiro on the 1st and Alex on the 2nd, also very much looking forward to everything.
The landscapes were majestic. Enjoy this tour and getting to know its sutures and gastronomy was certainly the best experience.
We had a great time on this excursion, super organized, very good food, very experienced guides, they hosted us at the Sakiwa hotel which we thought was excellent. Our guide was David, who I will always remember for how attentive and kind he is!
