Baños 2day/1night Tour - All Included Tours

I tried to book and take the Banos / Cotopaxi / Quilatoa tour. Right after booking, even though it said spots were selling out, I was told it was cancelled as I was the only one on it. Even after this, they continued to advertise the tour is selling out. Customer service has been a nightmare. They try and switch you to an inferior tour missing half of what you had booked. After arguing for a refund, even though it was them who cancelled my tour, arguing their terms and conditions allow them to keep your money even if they can’t offer what you booked. Then they didn’t refund the full amount! $15 is missing from my refund. This company is a scam and nothing like Peru Hop. Book with Quito Tour Bus or El Day Tour, both of whom are reliable. Ecuador Hop is doing so poorly that they will try and substitute you onto Quito Tour Bus anyways so might as well book with them directly. Stay far away from Ecuador Hop unless you want to spend hours chasing a refund!

We had travelled with Peru hop the year before and had enjoyed it. As we were in Ecuador we wanted to use their sister company. The website, organisation and communication were excellent. We always knew where and when we were going. We did an overnight at Cotopaxi which I would really recommend. The setting and accommodation were stunning. Ecuador does t get the same visitor numbers as Peru so sometimes we were in a small van and others a private car for two of us. 😊 I would recommend this operator.

We were contacted a few days before the trip and were told that they wanted to cancel the trip and asked us to confirm we were going. We confirmed we were planning to attend but never heard anything back. We were left confused and unsure if the trip we booked was even happening. The tour had random stops in Quito that we weren't anticipating and that were not part of the itinerary. They caused significant delays and no one was even interested in the stops. They were random at the side of the road and we only got out to take photos as to not be rude. Breakfast is not at the lodge as advertised. It is at a gas station on the side of the highway. Our food was not properly cooked, was of poor quality, and most of the menu was unavailable. Tour guides claimed the Cotopaxi viewpoint was a highway overpass. However, this was not what was advertised in the tour package online. Despite the tour being advertised as being in English, the tour guide spoke very little English and we struggled to communicate with them and receive the information provided on the tour. Out bus driver spoke little English as well but made a much bigger effort to make the tour better after seeing how poor the tour was by the tour guide. Our tour guide was very concerned about her looks and spent significant time re-applying make up and doing her hair and refused to join in all of the activities due to concern about messing up her hair and make up. This was very frustrating. We spent nearly the entire day on the bus with underwhelming stops. Overall it was a massive waste of time and money. Would never book with this company again. The tour guide told us that the itinerary advertised online is not possible in the time provided so they cut out portions of the tour as they desired.

I think Ecuador hop has the best representative in the country. Everything one day before were almost cancelled cause Peru office wanted to change our plan. But eventually we talked with Angie in Ecuador and she convinced us not to change everything and she tried to to everything possible to make us an amazing schedule with very experienced tour guys. So before you cancel try to contact her. She will make it happen.!!! Thank you Angie for the experience

Long trip (6h) but our guide Ernesto made it easy. We went from Quito, passed by Cotopaxi, stopped at Tigua to visit traditional art gallery, went to Rio Toachi Canyon and amazing Quilotoa lagoon. Ernesto gave very interesting information about the culture, history and traditions and was always available to attend our requests. We stopped our trip in Baños where he arranged another guide to take us to Casa del Arbol. We are very grateful and fully recommend.

Ernesto our guide was fantastic! Super nice and very informative taking us round the various sites. On the first day he took us to see the Quilatoa craker and the surrounding areas in the mountains. Visited a couple who lived in a traditional house in the mountains - Make sure to bring cash to tip them. The tour itself was the drive and various stops on the first day. This gives you most of that evening and the next day to do the activities in Banos. It's a long day with an early start so get a good night sleep before, but highly recommend.

Excellent value for the price paid. Tour guide could have given clearer instructions. Bus driver drove so quickly made me nauseous.

The tour was well-organized and everything went according to the itinerary. The stops in the Casa del Arbol and Pailon del Diablo were a bit rushed - I would’ve liked to have more time there. Because the tour is run by Ecuador Hop, they need to pick up and drop off people along the way (these people booked directly through Ecuador Hop, not Viator), so on the way back from Baños, we ended up going to Quilotoa for the second time instead of going directly to Quito, which added at least 2.5 hours to the journey. Had it been a straight Quito -Quilotoa - Baños - Quito tour, we wouldn’t have had to rush at the attractions in Baños.

I wanted my kids to see something they wouldn’t forget, as well as see parts of my home country that I’ve been away from for too many years. Baños did not disappoint. It is absolutely gorgeous. The tour was incredible and good even for small children (my youngest is 4). The ziplining was so much fun over the most beautiful view. Unfortunately, we got sick on the first day, but still made the most of our time. Our guide, Diego, was not only super knowledgeable & charismatic, he was also considerate, checking in on us to see how we were feeling whenever he got a chance. Ecuador hop offered a great tour, highly recommend it.

I loved the trip to Ecuador, and she got better with the Ecuador Hop team. And we had a wonderful guide, Diego, super professional and fun.

Baños is beautiful, with amazing landscapes and fun activities. I wish we had done the tour that has an extra day so we could have spent more time there. We hiked along waterfalls, rode swings off captivating ledges, and ziplined over a river, yet there was more that we would have liked to do. I would like to give a big thank you to our incredible guide, Diego, for doing everything he could to make sure we had a good time and being very informative. He seemed to know an interesting fact about everything. Members of our group got sick and he consistently checked-in on them to make sure they were doing okay and see if they needed anything. Lastly, I am most thankful to Diego for ensuring I got my phone back after I left it on the tour bus upon returning to Quito. Great trip! Good food there, also.

I had Israel and Diego as my guides for a three day trip down to Banos. If you had them as your guides, consider yourself very lucky. They were always there to help you. Don't forget to check out Puyo, which Israel recommended me was worth every dollars.

Was a very great tour to baños! I travelled solo, but the company of Joseph as guide was fabulous. The tour was great , hotel was good, breakfast fabulous and the guide was top! I enjoyed it for sure!

We wanted to go to Banos because we wanted to do that tree house swing, but Banos suprised us with so much more. Hop bus services are amazing. They picked us on time, our guide is very professional and helpful. The drive does an excellent job. We did both the tree house swing, the over the town swing, the water falls, the walking the bridge and zipline. Banos and Hop bus services are beyond my expectations. Go for it!

Jonathan.. Our tour guy is very informative and knowledgeable.. He is very active and energetic. Bus ride to Banos is very long but with jonathan the times goes by fast.. On the way to Banos we stopped by at a lot of view point to take good pics.. A night at the Selinas is a great way to experience the night life at Baños. Equador hop is the best way to go around Equador. I had the best time in Baños with the assistance of jonathan.

You’ve got to see the Amazon. It is stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice. EH put on a great tour. Our host Diego, was excellent. Really. He speaks 5 languages (yes 5) and goes out of his way to ensure everybody enjoys the trip. He will take pictures if you hand him your phone (and he’s really good). Diego knows the town of Baños well and gives restaurant recommendations too. Cafè Hood was great... One thing though, if you are tall or large please know you will spend hours on a bus to get there and back. If you get carsick bring Dramamine.

I thoroughly enjoyed the two-day trip to Banos from Quito and back. I went by myself since I was joining a group but had a couple of free days beforehand and didn't want to waste time figuring things out. Jonathan, our Ecuadorian guide, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and speaks excellent English. He encouraged our full participation in all the activities including the zipline, Swing at the Edge of the World, hiking to see the jewel-like crater lake at Quilatoa, and posing for photos with alpacas and llamas! Carlos, our driver, was tremendously skilled in the challenging art of driving in Ecuador. The included meals were good and the hostel was clean and comfortable. I upgraded to a private room for a nominal sum. The Ecuador Hop bus is very comfortable and provides a terrific opportunity to see many parts of the country, not just Banos. I plan to tour with them again in future!

A wonderful way to experience Ecuador from Quito to Banos alongside see Quitoloa Lake, Cotopaxi Volcano from a distance. Also you get to see some beautiful animals. Joseph is a great tour guide.

This tour was soo amazing!! I can just recommend it to everyone. I loved every aspect of the tour!! On the first day we went to Quilotoa and to the swing in Banos. It was breathtaking!!! An amazing expierence!! However what I liked the most about this trip was the guid. He made every wish possible!! So thank you Israel for this unique experience.

I went to a weekend to baños and it was amazing. Our guide, Israel, was very good! He explained the places well and did everything to please everyone. I really recommend equator hop because you are cared for and do not need to worry about anything. I had an amazing time!!!

We were in Ecuador for a total of 8 short days. Since we were there for a short time I was hesitant to do an overnight "excursion" but this was an AMAZING two days seeing so much in a short amount of time without feeling rushed. Probably 75% of our pictures/videos we show to people come from these two days. There is so much to do and see on this trip! It was too foggy to see Cotopaxi unfortunately, but we were able to see Quilatoa lagoon from two different angles, pet some alpacas and llamas, go zip lining, ride a cable car, see a bunch of waterfalls, ride the swing at the end of the world, and have one (or many) beers in banos in the evening. Our awesome guide Isreal also took us to an "extreme" swing which is not for the faint of heart. It swings you thousands of feet over Banos and it was early evening and SO incredible to see the city lit up - that was my highlight. We were able to do all of this without feeling rushed or stressed out. It's a full two days - early morning day 1 to later evening day 2 with quite a bit of travel time, but the stops along the way really help to break things up.

This was an outstanding way to get a taste of all the Ecuador has to offer! The guide Diego was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us some amazingly places. The diver Albert was safe, friendly and the ride was very comfortable. From the amazing lagoon to the high swing and countryside, this trip was well worth it. As a solo traveler on my first trip to Ecuador, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The bus was clean, the food yummy and the hostel welcoming and clean. Thank you Diego and Albert!

I signed up to the Cotopaxi-Baños tour. I was initially a little disappointed as the 'Cotopaxi' section is the breakfast with a view of Cotopaxi, no hiking or exploring (and there was a lot of cloud cover that day). That being said the schedule was very full of travelling to Baños and activities in Baños. When the day is clear the scenery on the drive is absolutely breathtaking. We also managed to stop at Quilotoa lake which I was desperate to see whilst in Ecuador. The bus we took was very modern and comfortable with a USB charging port for each seat. All the activities in Baños were incredibly fun and it is a truly beautiful place. Despite needing to stick to a schedule, nothing ever felt particularly rushed. Baños is also very lively with lots of bars and things to do with a really great atmosphere. Our tourguide was Diego and he was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and fun. Would definitely recommend this tour to people.

I can’t even find the words to describe the satisfaction! We had an excellent experience with Peruhop! So when we got to Quito we decided to go with the best bet wich was Ecuador Hop! The trip was AMAZING! the guides are very nice and they are always watching over you and taking care of you! They are not trying to screw you over like other companies.. I did this tour yesterday and it was fantastic. I booked it at 9pm the night before and got picked up the next morning. Diego was a fantastic guide and helped everyone have everything they wanted. We made great stops on the way to Banos and when we got there they settled us into our hostels. I was the only one who booked the tour for the evening and the morning. Diego did absolutely everything to accommodate everything I wanted to do. He knew I liked photography and made extra stops so I could get great photos. Esteban our fantastic and friendly driver was gracious enough to do all the crazy activities with me like Ecuadors longest zipline experience , which was pretty crazy and the big swing which was quite the rush. Diego made sure I got the best of everything. I wanted to go rafting and it didnt fit into the schedule but he went to companies with me on his own time and did everything he could to get me on an afternoon trip and it worked out. I had an absolute blast with these guys and they treated me like a queen. Big gold stars!!!! Thanks for the best tour ever.

Carla (Guide) and Esteban (Driver) we’re amazing! I am sure they have this tour a number of times but they made it feel like they were right there experiencing it with us! The trip itself was well worth the money - we did so much! It was planned so there a great balance between driving and seeing and adventuring! I made an error and booked the wrong trip and they fixed it within minutes with no problems so I could travel with my friends! It wasn’t even a question and it didn’t hold anyone up! This is a great company and Carla and Esteban were just the best! If you’re looking for a way to see Ecuador, this is the way to go!

I did the Ecuador Hop from Quito to Banos. I was very impressed with all aspects of the tour, the knowledge of the hosts, and their sincere intent to ensure we all had a good time! Would highly recommend my tour guide, Joseph, who was very kind and patient, and a great photographer! Best of luck!

I booked a 2d/1b tour between Quito to Banos and really enjoyed this company and their staff. It was a convenient way to see the top spots en route and in Banos. The guides were accommodating and even drivers were attentive. Shoutout to Carla, who was super sweet and is a gem. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and would highly recommend for those who wants an easier intro into these areas!

We had an amazing experience from the start with all of the Ecuador Hop staff - starting with emails sent between myself and staff confirming details before our arrival to Ecuador. On the day of our excursion Carla and Estebitan were right on time to pick us up at our hotel and the logistics of the whole trip were seamless. Our guides were so personable and kind to us and truly did show us a non-tourist side of Ecuador during our short excursion. They were also more than willing to jump right in with us on activities and translate as needed. We really felt like we could ask Carla anything and that she would be 100 percent transparent with us. We will never forget this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat!

I had a great time on this tour. Might be one of the best decisions I've ever made while traveling. The driver, Esteban, and guide, Julio, were both so nice and flexible. The attractions on this tour are definitely worth seeing! Everything was well scheduled and they were never late on pick-up time. My two days and one night tour will forever be memorable. There wasn't enough time on Cotopaxi. Should go up and down quickly. Had 15 minutes at the intermediate station. It was as if there is a lack of understanding of how magnificent Cotopaxi is 🤔 The rest of the trip was good.

A relaxing activity, a very beautiful adventure with great landscapes; the guide always attentive and informative. Best travel choice :D

The tour was a great experience, it was an encounter with nature and adventure in one place ; the trip was very entertaining and especially very punctual , Jonathan (guide) made the trip incredible and fun 😁 is an excellent guide has a lot of knowledge , we visited the lagoon Quilotoa, we made a stop to see the beautiful volcano Cotopaxi and then we went to the route of the waterfalls Jonathan was in charge of taking good photos , everything was well organized was wonderful . The tour was amazing, the very friendly guide helped us with our luggage and was telling us about the destinations we visited, we visited the waterfalls in Baños a super chevere view, the waterfall was very beautiful and perfect for photos, as well as the swing of the end of the world!! The hotel they recommended was very comfortable and nice and their food delicious!! A recommended tour if you are going to visit Baños!!

I had already traveled with this company in Peru and Bolívia so I decided to try it also in Ecuador and as it happens in the other 2 countries I have had a fantastic experience. All very well organized, punctual and always offering many interesting activities! Our guide (Diego) has been a charmer and has always been watching our safety (I have done very well since I was traveling alone), watching that we arrived well at the final destination and has always been watching that we had a good time and has given a lot of information regarding the places where we went. Ecuador Hop was a success, super punctual with the departures of each place. Good transport. The excellent Julio guide guided us to the group in Quilatoa- Baños and Pailon del Diablo. Super dominant history, good Service as well as the driver. I'll be looking forward to coming back again.
