The whole trip super cool. Guy was an excellent guide on the road to the start point. Props to Levi the driver, who made a sketchy road look like a highway. The drive, incidentally was an adventure. Then we come to the rafting. We had Benj as a guide. He kept everyone calm. Taught us all we needed early and then hit some exhilarating rapids. A highlight of our trip. High five to Benj for making it a truly memorable day out in Qtown.

Did rafting with the family with Challenge Rafting in Queenstown (Grade 2-3 section of rapids) and it was excellent from start to finish. The guides were first-rate: calm, highly professional, and very good at reading the group. Clear instructions, good humour, and exactly the right balance between safety and fun. The scenery is genuinely stunning — classic Queenstown landscapes that make the whole experience feel bigger than just the rapids themselves. The rapids were exciting and properly fun, but never intimidating. Ideal for first timers while still delivering enough adrenaline to keep it engaging. You feel well looked after without it being over-managed. Well run, well paced, and thoroughly enjoyable. Would happily recommend to anyone considering rafting in Queenstown.

The equipment given was top notch. The staff was very funny and accommodating from first turning up at the rafting center. We had matt as our raft guide he was very friendly and made sue we had a great time. Would definitely do it again!

Great team of guides that took us down the river and a “must do”. I was impressed with the van drivers being able the traverse the goat track of a road. No way would I attempt to drive what they did. Challenging but fun.

The team did a great job given the very benign conditions on the river on the day we went. All very knowledgable and know how to make a trip fun and great learning experience- it was our first such trip.

Good vibes and good views. Safety was a huge priority! Equipment was in great shape. Guides were hilarious! Jet boat ride was a super fun. Had an absolute blast!

Great fun way to see the Shotover River. Definitely recommend the class 3-5 rapids during summer as the low water level keeps them to the lower end of the spectrum. Notwithstanding a really fun way to spend a few hours. Highly recommended.

The raft team and our guide Zane were focused on both safety and fun! We practiced the required skills in calm waters to get us through the rapids safely. We also had great conversations I. The raft between multiple rapids which added the each raft team camaraderie and some friendly competition between rafts! Having an opportunity to choose to jump in the water was really appreciated too and a lot of fun! I felt so confident in being able to tackle each rapid under Zane’s direction. An amazing and absolutely must do activity. Can’t wait to go again! Note - you really do need to have a reasonable level of fitness and you absolutely MUST be able to swim.

This was the highlight of our trip - the views on the river were so great. It was fun for everyone in our family. Our guide Mark was fantastic - he really connected with us all and kept us safe and really ensured we all had fun. Gabe, the tour guide was also friendly and gave us excellent information on Queenstown. We learnt a lot and had so much fun. I would highly recommend this activity to everyone.

We had a wonderful time rafting with Raju on this gorgeous river. We were excited to have a Nepalese guide as we have visited Nepal several times and love the people there. He was very experienced and kept us busy paddling and very safe. Highly recommend especially if you have rafted a lot before and are comfortable on the water! Thanks, Raju!!

The safety checks that were done, then repeated several times enroute and just prior to rafting were v reassuring. Our Kiwi guide Will was lovely. We received so many instructions and time to.pracrice that it was great. The rafting was rough in the rapids but we felt well educated prior, the whole procedure was very well organised. All the rafts stay nearby for safety and keep an eye on each other as well as a guy that just canoes on his own as an extra assistant If needed. Was an EXCELLENT experience!!!

The river is very scenic. No more for crazy rapids. Thanks to Emma we had a excellent day on the river. She make us laugh and have lot of fun in the river. GOPRO ARE NOT ALLOWED. Very bad. For the company I will recommend you don't need to be afraid of having people with gopro. Every rafting company allows it. I don't see why not when this is a sport activity. Everyone sign a waiver. Thats why I’m giving 3 start. The pictures you provide are jot the best and BTW my pictures were not sent. Groups are too big and you spent lots of time waiting for other rafts to pass. I recommend you can divide the group in 2 and have some rafters with more experience and looking for more adventurous experience go without stopping. I understand safety is a priority but you can split the groups. Again thanks to Emma we enjoy the rafting. And last recommendations you can encourage some games between t rafters like competing splashing water between them. So the time pass with more joy. Thank you Emma for the day

Our ride was amazing, it was more extreme than I expected but our guide Jacob was calm fun and skilled. The 16km part of the river was picturesque and the water was refreshing. Highly recommended you give it a go.

Great afternoon with experienced guides and lots of rapids. Fantastic experience from the drive to the river to the last rapids. Loved being able to jump out of the raft at various time into the very chilly water. Hot shower at the end was appreciated.

Whilst you are paying to go white water rafting the bus trip is a great added bonus. It was fun and safe with experienced crew. They will ask you at least 10 times if you can swim and you should be a confident swimmer to go as they want you to jump in and swim back to raft prior to the rapids.

We rafted Kawarau River and it was a really great experience with staff who were patient, attentive, and experienced. We felt like we were in safe hands which was great as we were super nervous! Would recommend to others. Staff took photos with their GoPros and shared the photos for free.

Awesome rafting experience! This was so much fun. We could see our kids were a little nervous after the safety brief, but once we got into it and tackled the first rapid, they were smiling ear to ear. The whole experience was great from booking in, getting issued equipment, safety brief, rafting the river and returning to base. The staff were fantastic and heaps of fun to be with, and the scenery was outstanding. Thanks for a memorable family experience.

This was a great experience all the way round. Nice people, well organized, spectacular drive to starting point. Ans the rafting was great. Not the toughest rapids, but beautiful river and gorges, fun swims and rock jumping in a couple places.

From the start to the end, an overall engaging excursion. The guides were fabulous! The bus ride to Skippers Landing was filled with intriguing stories and funny anecdotes while pointing out rock formations and the harrowing cliff drop from the edge of the road. Our raft guide Morgan was the best! Instructive and friendly, her knowledge of the history and years of experience on the Shotover River made the entire trip so much fun.

This experience is really worthwhile. Took my wife and two teenage kids. The wife is not super adventurous but the guides were quick to notice this and set her at ease throughout. The rafting company and guides were very experienced and professional throughout the whole experience. One of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand.

The guide on the bus trip made it very fun, also big ups to the bus driver. The guides were all very knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable! Very thrilling and fun - would definitely recommend this! Had an absolute blast.

This experience was one of the highlights of our NZ trip. All the staff were friendly, fun and highly organised. Our guide, Will was incredible. He was friendly and chatty to our kids and us and was very experienced on the water. There was the perfect combination of thrills, spills, and calmer waters. The drive to the start of the river was a bit hairy, but our driver Harry navigated it without hesitation, making us all feel very safe. Highly recommend.

The rafting team and guides are excellent. They make you feel safe and try to give you some history while you drive out to the water. What is not cool, is leaving someone behind and blaming the person for it while the tour pick up was running late and I was in the bathroom. A simple headcount for people like me who got there early to check in on time would keep for Leaving me behind but because everyone was delayed had to use the restroom and ends up being blamed for ‘wandering off’ then has to pay for my own taxi to the rafts. Yes I am a bit bitter about that. The two staff were not accommodating or quick to find a solution. Instead blame game stalled while I wait for help on how to move forward which was awful to experience. Raft team and the actual activity helped make up for this lack of customer support and awful customer experience. Bring a towel! And something warm if you run cold they will have lockers there for you. Wish I could have tipped guys/gals who are so alert, proficient, knowledgeable and experts in rafting. They are the best!

Such fun with the most gorgeous scenery. Our guide was also amazing and very knowledgeable. Just the bus ride up was a little scary!

What a fun and amazing experience this was! From the moment we stepped onto the bus with our lovely driver and guide, they were fun and enthusiastic and made the whole first impression of the tour really good!!
