Shotover Canyon Swing

Absolutely amazing experience. Totally terrifying to start as I’m afraid of heights but ended up loving it. The options of how to do it is such a great touch too.

Booked it after a few beers. The wife and I went and I have to say, I was terrified. Did the solo swing but archer, the guy who was our guy for it was brilliant. At the platform the guys were serious and funny at the same time. If you want to do a cabin swing in Queenstown then this is the one to go for. Would I do it again. Damn right I would

I cannot recommend this experience more highly. All processes were smooth and seamless, from booking to confirmation to pickup and the swing itself. Our hosts were calm and personable, reading the vibe of our family of five perfectly and attention to safety was spot on. We didn’t feel like ‘just another customer’ at any time. As for the canyon swing ….absolutely amazing! I wish I’d done the second jump on the day but I didn’t. I’ll definitely do another some time. Also, after sales service was second-to-none when I wanted to change the shirt I purchased. Your company really is impressive! Thank you so much 😊😊😊

My 15 year old son wanted to do this so I reluctantly said I would go - trying to be a cool mom. Wow, it was amazing. I think I had as much fun as he did! The guides were excellent - very fun but safety conscious. I only wish I had done the walk off the platform or the one where they cut the line slowly. I did the "classic' - which was excellent but having only one jump (we didn't have time for people to do two), I should have done a three underwear jump off the bat!

It was fab, outrageously fun and I recommend to thrill seekers to get out of comfort zone and jump. Staff are so friendly, welcoming . Awesome exp

My goodness, now I am not scared of heights by any means and I wasn't scared while Rob was cutting the rope but holey moley during the free fall I think that's the most terrified I have ever been. For a split second I genuinely thought I was going to meet my demise and I was ready for that- at least it would be quick. But the swing at the end was 100% worth it. The scenery was spectacular. Rob and Michael/Mike (sorry dont know if it was Michael or Mike) were super friendly and put us both at ease. They were comforting and professional when they needed to be but also super funny, friendly and kind. It was such a great atmosphere and everyone was super super supportive. 1000% reccommend and will definitely be doing it again (maybe in the winter) Our souvenir rope we got to keep is called Ropert Michropael after our guides.

Super friendly and professional team. Gave me the confidence to leap into the abyss. So much fun! Can't wait to go back

The Shotover Canyon Swing is a MUST DO adventure activity in Queenstown. With friendly and professional staff, a range of jump styles to suit all comfort levels (The Chair is terrifying!), and unbeatable views of the breathtaking Shotover Canyon, it's a 5-star experience.

So much fun. I was really nervous about the jump but as soon as I did it I was filled with adrenaline and loved it. So much so I did it again, but that time jumped backwards. Little tip. If you do your second jump naked you get it free! But blokes if you’re trying to impress anyone just remember it’s cold haha. Staff are funny and supportive. Make you feel very relaxed.

The views were amazing and the staff were so nice and cheery, it looks scary but it was such an adrenaline rush!!

The staff were friendly and accommodating which feels so easy for me to ask or talk about the canyon swing or even my whole Queenstown experience.

The energy and friendliness of the staff were exactly what I needed to get thru this insane experience. I felt safe from the moment I got the rig on til I was back on the platform. The transition from free fall to swinging on the rope was surprisingly seamless. I felt no jerkiness whatsoever. Can’t wait to do it again.

my 5th time doing Canon Swing with a group and it just gets better every time! Staff were so friendly and fun. Loved picking out our launch styles, we chose gimpy guy for our tandem swing and it did not disappoint. The swing was thrilling and amazing and breathtaking. 100% would and already have recommended to others.

Had an absolute blast at shotover, the team are so chill and really nice, even though i was late. It's really cool you get to pick out your own jump style and they are really helpful even when you get scared, super cool and I couldnt recommend them more

Do it even if you're scared! I was terrified but did it anyway, and so glad I did! Was a blast! All safety measures are so carefully undertaken. Team are friendly and comforting!

What a wonderful adventure. From getting to chose how you drop, to the banter with the staff. Would highly recommend for those not afraid of height, but even if you are, go tandem and have a friend to hold your hand. This takes giant swing to the next level but with an amazing view Only thing I wish, was to receive the complete footage of the whole drop when you pay for the video and photos. Not just a segment when you are down the bottom. Had a pair from my tour group actually singing Sweet Caroline down the bottom and no footage of it

Terrifying. Couldn’t feel my arms . Staff really F$&@“s with you too to make you unsure if you’re going to die. Then you don’t die! And you’re so glad to be alive. Highly recommend if you’re feeling depressed

Best experience from start to finish. The staff are so much fun and extremely professional at the same time. My husband and I did the tandem swing and had a BLAST. I will definitely be doing it again next time I'm back in NZ. Thanks Team for a wicked day. YEEEWWW

The whole experience was incredible. Staff were professional and well organized. I did attempt to "chicken out" after reconsidering, but the crew were amazing. Both were very professional, if not a little cheeky, making it a really amazing experience. The video and pictures were available straight away. Wish I'd done it sooner.

Amazing experience - I was absolutely sh*** myself leading up to it but it was worth it. The staff are great and put your mind at ease. The organisation is quick and well done so you really don’t have time to think. You can choose different ways to jump - me and my wife did tandem and opted for quick cut off as I just wanted to drop as quickly as possible! Never in my life did I think I would do this and I did! Over a beautiful canyon which I tried to enjoy over my wife’s screams!

Shot over canyon swing was an amazing experience. Staff were super friendly all the way from reception to after the jump. Highly recommend doing this at least once in your life!! Will definitely be back!

Amazing, I loved it so much I took the opportunity to do a second swing. The team was so great, I felt safe the entire time, the options for jumps/falls were so fun, and the location was gorgeous.

The canyon swing is a fun and exhilarating experience. The staff were brilliant and all had witty personalities. We just loved it and all of us have said we would do it again and much preferred it over a bungee jump.

Friendly staff, awesome experience. My 2 daughters were petrified at first, but loved the swing once it was over. They emmediately went back for seconds.

Looking over the edge I thought "what am I doing", but I was there so I had to just run and jump. It was the most exhilarating feeling! I loved it so much I did it again and I will do it every time I'm in Queenstown. The swing operators are great. Super friendly and funny and really make the experience more enjoyable.... which was perfect for the pre-jump nerves. It's natural to have a bit of fear but you won't regret it. Most people in my group did it again.

The swing was so much fun, it was great to be able to choose between so many options of how to leave the platform. The staff were so friendly and made the experience really fun. The scenery of the canyon was beautiful and it was nice to swing there and enjoy it. My advice is to just pre-book the video/photo package because you’re going to want that video!

If you’re debating between doing the canyon swing or Bungy jump, I say go for the canyon swing! The drop and choice of jumps makes for an absolutely exhilarating experience, while the swinging portion is actually very calming and allows you to take in the stunning views of the canyon. The staff were amazing and were such great fun.

The best experience! Loved the customer service, the humour and the small group I was with - got to do it twice! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING…. I’d recommend this to everyone whose seeking to do something thrilling! Would definitely love to come back and do it again!

It was a really fun experience, staff were amazing and were really entertaining, and the adrenaline rush was totally worth it! And best of all, as I had done this activity before, it is cheaper for me the second time round (They also gave me a voucher for $30 that can be used for the next time I go back)! A must do when you go to Queenstown.

These guys are outstanding. They love to compound the natural fear you feel by winding you up. I had to do a second jump. All staff a super friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend getting the video package. They have people in the back room editing all the footage on site by the time you are done. And it's well done.

Staff refused to confirm I was properly strapped in the harness to then push me, the video showed they were all making fun of me behind me. Not cool.

Had a great experience, if you are an adrenaline junkie, this is a must. I did it twice, on the trike and hanging off the edge while they cut the rope (even got to take a piece home) the staff are funny and professional at the same time. Lots of safety checks. Make sure you get the video and photo package to show your family and friends.
