Queenstown: Off-road Self-drive Buggy Tour With Wakatipu Views

We had a blast driving through the forest and paths. The guide was great and he always made sure we were safe. It’s was like being on a rolllercoaster at times. We stopped twice for incredible views Definitely worth doing

Friendly and helpful staff, all equipment and gear provided. My husband was the driver and I the passenger. My huaband had never driven a left hand buggy before but had plenty of experience with quads so the experience was helpful. The different tracks wound themselves through the forest up and down the mountain with a couple of pauses to take in the beautiful vistas.

Our guide Baz was fantastic - very knowledgeable and made us feel safe and confident. Our main driver loved his experience as part of his 40th birthday celebrations, it was a real highlight of our trip. Our passenger was nervous but that very quickly wore off & those nerves turned into excitement once we got stuck in. Thanks again Baz for an amazing morning, would recommend this to all of our more adventurous friends!

This was one of the most exhilarating experiences I have gotten to do. The Off-Road expedition is not something that should be missed in Queenstown. The staff are incredible and so friendly. They made this the best time ever from the time we showed up (late) to the time we parted ways, the whole trip was so fun because of them. You can tell they know how to have fun and love getting to share that passion with others. Sam is awesome, very gracious and Diego and Denis were the most epic trail leaders. They showed us their skills and also gave us an unforgettable experience. They gave us some cool facts about the area and even became our personal photographers at different scenic stops along the way. But my favorite photos were the ones they were in, as those are my new favorite memories. Sam, Diego, Denis, and everyone at Off Road Experience has given me an adventure of epic proportions and I am definitely going to visit them again for future adventures!!

Absolutely ripper of a time!!! I went with my 5 year old son and from the admin staff to the guide Diego everyone was so friendly. Diego was very informative and made the experience 10x better.

WOW — what an awesome experience! An all-round great adventure from start to finish. The check-in was warm and welcoming, and the trip to the site was easy and close by. Diego (apologies if I’ve misspelled his name) was absolutely fantastic. He made us feel completely at ease as he drove us through the property, sharing insights and explaining everything along the way. The views were incredible as well. Highly recommend!

Diego gave a great tour with the buggy. He informed us how to operate it and we had no problems. Was a beautiful day and we loved the two stops to see the views. Highly recommend

Easy to check in. Transportation provided to the site. Our family of 6 including a 9-year old and a 13-year old loved it. Extremely dirty, I wish they would have provided a bandana or I would have brought my own. We were eating dirt for days. But it was SO fun!!!! Would highly recommend!

Our guide Diego was fantastic-showed us all the required training to enjoy the afternoon-we had a mix of young, middle aged and elderly in our group and all where accommodated well. A+ and for the single ladies out there AA++

What an amazing experience!! Led by Stephan and Bas who really looked after our family of 7, this was simply epic.. We all had a fabulous time off-road in our buggies, getting dusty (which was a huge part of the fun!), but the views were amazing! Highly recommend!!

I did the family in one atv tour. Our guide Stefan was cool and let us have some fun since we did them before. Really fun experience. Way better than the atv tour we did while in Alaska. The tour takes you up to a great view of queenstown on top of the hill/mojntain and then they take you down back to the starting point. If you are in queenstown this a definite must do.

Stefan was a legend. What an exceptional tour guide! We wanted to drive side-by-sides (buggies) in New Zealand and have experience in the U.S. Stefan took us on some awesome trails that did not let us down. Highly recommend!!

Excellent afternoon experience - Stefan was a great guide and was able to tailor the afternoon commiserate with the experience/confidence of the group (which was just us as a solo by pure luck)! Would highly recommend for anymore that enjoys bike riding/4wd/anything with an engine.

This was an incredible experience! We did this as a family (2 boys aged 12 and 10). The adrenaline started from the get go. You cannot miss this while holidaying in Queenstown. The guides were so helpful and really made the whole experience enjoyable! Would do this again in a heartbeat.

The guys really looked after us today, safety was paramount, all the wet weather gear and helmets supplied, great tracks, amazing views, such a fun time, we highly recommend A+

This was a blast! Had a lot of fun driving off-road in the buggy. Steffan and Bas made sure that everyone could have fun regardless of their experience, so this works both if you are experience off-roading or a novice. The views from the top are stunning, I was glad that we could stop to take pictures along the way. Thank you folks!

We rented two buggies for 4 people. We had a fun time in our rides and the views were spectacular. Be aware that you must be fully licensed to drive a buggy.

A fun and fast paced UTV tour. A couple of very nice scenic stops. Very friendly guide. VERY dusty, they did give us face coverings which helped a lot.

My partner and I decided to last minute book this experience. Little did we know it was going to be the best fun! Both Scott and Stefan were great tour guides, showing us what wonderful views Queenstown has to offer and sharing the rich history behind its flora and fauna. Felt super safe and comfortable driving the buggy too with their pre training. Would do this again and again

Brilliant time. From the get go the customer experience was great, lovely guys at the shop in town and was fortunate to have Dennis as our guide. My inner revhead loved it all, as did our tweenagers. Not too intimidating for a first time buggy novice. Views were staggering and the explanation of the history of the region by Dennis and his love for it all was great. Next time I'd do it again or one of their other longer tours. Thanks team for a cracking time!

Fantastic off roading adventure and the tour guides were fantastic with great local knowledge and history. Diego and Olly were also great teachers with a great emphasis on safety. highly recommended.

Well organized friendly staff who provided all the instruction and briefings you need to be safe. Practice in the buggy conducted to give almost any driver the confidence to drive the course. The track was fun with plenty of scenic views of Queenstown. Staff provided all protective gear, cover pants and jacket, gloves, gum boots and helmet. Our guide Diego was great keeping everyone safe.

I took my daughter 14 and wife 30 on this tour and they loved it! I obviously enjoyed driving the tour and giving them a fright at times haha, the staff were awesome and the amount of terrain you cover in the time on tour was amazing very versatile buggies with some epic views at the top

This was amazing, Diego, Lloyd and the team were fantastic, Charli (10) was a bit unsure of it all, so Diego was happy to put her and mum in his buggy and in the end she loved it. The guys are paramount on safety and checked on us in the second buggy plenty of times throughout the session and always had us in clear site from their buggy. Could not recommend any higher, excellent for family with kids, ours are 10 year old twins. Very professional but with the fun factor throw in, thank you guys.

The owner Scott had a great personality...unforced flow of convo like we been knowing each other for years... he introduced me to our guide Diego who is from Chile and was standup guy! The best part about him is safety was first and didn't do like most guides who would burn off and leave you.. he was always checking behind to make sure we were safe and not far behind..he lended me his personal shades to ise when the sun was beaming in my eyes..he was even kind hearted to drop me off at my next excursion with a different company...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company...I'm usually a hard critic but there was not a ounce of negative thing I can say about them.
