We did the dirt bike tour on the Suzuki 250s with our guide Diego. He was very helpful and instructive to make sure we were doing things correctly and safely. We learned some new skills and Diego had us riding right at the edge of our ability so we had a nice level of challenge which kept things fun and interesting. All of the gear we needed was provided. The bikes were in good condition and worked well.
Very impressed!! A good friend and I recently took part in a ride that I’ll never forget. We booked a half day trip through Skippers Canyon under the guidance of Scott and the team at Dirt Bike Tours in Queenstown. This was my second visit to Queenstown and, being an Aussie country boy, I was eager to slip away from the more touristy areas and seek out some of New Zealand’s stunning natural beauty. Well we sure picked the week for it… non-stop rain in the lower lying areas, good snow fall up high, many land slides reported and weather warnings for wind gusts reaching >130kph. It seemed every activity around had been cancelled, along with all the flights, and I thought our bike ride would be too, However, I was wrong! We met Scott in Queenstown, who jumped out of his car wearing Moto X boots and looked so excited to get on the bikes and have a great time. To be honest, I had a lot of concerns at this point and wanted to know the logistics and safety measures in place… I love adventure but I’ve also got a mortgage to pay. After a good conversation and briefing I could tell this was a professional setup. Scott outlined the gear they would provide to keep us warm and protected, the abundant route options to cater to the conditions and our skill level, the safety gear he would carry in the case of an emergency and the vast experience and knowledge he has of the area. Additionally, the Yamaha’s we rode were in great condition and having the option of a 250 or 450 allowed us to choose our riding style for the day…. Lots of playful revs and gear changes or good old fashion power and lazy torque! Before we set off Scott puts our doubts at ease and guaranteed we would both have a great time….. and I’m very happy to say he was right! Our experience was everything I was looking for in a good adventure/enduro ride. We traversed remote beautiful landscapes and challenged our riding abilities without ever feeling like we were in danger. Scott is a great rider and was able to gauge our abilities quickly, setting a pace that was fun but never pushed us beyond our capabilities. This pace allowed me to follow his lines and watch how he navigated fast flowing water and obstacles on track, helping me to learn some new tricks as we rode. The biggest challenge I faced during our ride was trying to keep my eyes on the track, the scenery is simply amazing! We saw snow capped mountains scattered with wild goats that led down into deep gold rich rivers that still held many relics from the gold rush era. Best of all, we didn’t see any large buses full of tourists pushing in front of us to get a selfie while throwing up a peace sign… we only had the howling wind through the canyon and the roar of rushing water down the swollen river. At the end of our ride we had smiles from ear to ear and had created so many great stories that you’d need at least a few beers to retell properly! The hardest part now is trying to organise another trip back to Queenstown so we can jump on one of their multi day tours and see more of what the beautiful South Island has to offer. It’s an enduro/adventure riders paradise!

We had the best time on our side-by-side buggy during our Off-Road Adventure. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our tour guide could see my husband's driving ability, and he took him on some tracks while we scaled the hillside. The view from the top was spectacular. My husband and I would do the tour again and would recommend it.
We did the Self Drive Guided Buggy Tour and it was amazing fun! 5 minutes out of town the location is incredible with views up over Queenstown and Shotover river. Well looked after by our guide Diego who was a terrific bloke and made our 7 year old son feel right at home. Enough training to feel safe and comfortable without being over the top so you really got plenty of time to get out on the tracks and have some fun! Courses were great with a mix of hills, mud, corners and bush driving. You really got to test out the buggies! Suspension in them is pretty incredible as you felt comfortable despite the terrain and they fitted you out with all the gear. Great for all ages! Highly recommend and would 100% do again!

Sam was a very kind and helpful guy who helped me rent a Suzuki V Strom 650 for the day. He helped me plan a gorgeous route, definitely the best ride I’ve ever done in my life in terms of scenery. Highly recommend if you want to rent a motorbike or do a canyon tour on a dirtbike! Lovely town and amazing roads to be discovered around the Queenstown area.

I had a three hour dual sport motorcycle tour with Scott. He was personable, knowledgeable and very helpful. I told him about my experience level (intermediate) and my expectations for the tour and the experience matched up perfectly. We went a little over time but no worries, he didn’t rush. I highly recommend Scott and his company!

What a fun day out! I booked my son and husband for the dirt bike tour and they loved it. They were provided with all safety gear and then went through trails all lead via an experienced rider. My son could not stop talking about how much he learned and how much fun they had! Very professional and lots of fun . Highly recommended

Awesome private ride out up Skipper Canyon. Scott was happy to take me on a last minute booking for the next morning (and on his birthday!) Having only road bike experience Scott talked me through how to ride off road bikes and had a quick practice before heading out up the mountain. Scenery was amazing and Scott took expert photos and videos as well as giving me lots of tips and confidence boosts throughout the ride. Would highly recommend if your in Queenstown.

I went on a one on one dirt bike adventure with Diego. All I can say is it was one of the best dirt bike experiences ive ever had. I was worried taht it would be to basic and I am an experienced dirt biker with several decades of experienec and I was not let down. Diego is amazing on a bike and he taught me so much. Everyone with thsi company is there to make your experienec memorable and I cant say enough good stuff about this company.

After 10yrs since last riding this was the perfect way to get back into the seat. Riding with friends in our mid-50's, Scott was a thorough professional to ensure we were riding safely, while still allowing plenty of fun and challenges. We covered nearly 200km over 2 days of stunning country, broken up with needed refreshments breaks and loads of history about the area. Scott kindly organised a 90 minute quad ride for our wives to start day 2 which they thoroughly enjoyed! Expert or novice, theres a ride able to be designed for you.
Did an all day adventure bike guided tour around Queenstown. Our guides were Scott and Dennis and they were fantastic. They found great tracks relevant to our abilities. They gave informative talks on the regions history. Highly recommend. A must do. Will do again.
My college-age daughter and I had a fantastic first experience on ATVs with the Off Road Adventure tour. Our guide, Sam, was kind, fun and attentive to safety--he really spent a lot of time watching us, giving clear direction and helping us grow in confidence as the activity progressed. He enabled all skill levels in the group to have fun. Overall, an awesome experience with spectacular views of Queenstown. Thanks, Sam, for also providing the best dining and activity recommendations we got in New Zealand!

Best FUN and most laughs EVER We went on one of the buggy adventures with Scotty this morning and by far this was the best FUN and the most laughs I've had in ages! Of all the outdoor adventure activities we have done in NZ in the last few weeks this was by far the standout highlight! So much FUN, adventure, adrenaline and a real thrill to experience the incredible beauty of Queenstown this way and to hear about the history from a true local. A scenic tour like no other! I haven't laughed hysterically so much from pure joy, excitement, adrenaline and non stop FUN watching myself and my partner hold on for dear life on this crazy adventure ride together. My only regret is we leave today and we can't get up and do it all again tomorrow! I seriously recommend this as A MUST DO in Queenstown!

This was my first time on a dirt bike, yet i've seldom had so much fun and learned so much in a morning. They really help you build confidence and coach you while encouraging you to explore. Never felt unsafe. Highly recommend this experience!
