We had a wonderful experience with Alpine Wine Tours in Queenstown! We visited three wineries—Te Kano, Carrick, and Gibbston Valley Winery—and each one was fantastic. The wineries were beautiful, with excellent wines and their own unique atmosphere. Emma was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Her communication before the tour was excellent, and everything was organized seamlessly. She made the entire experience easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. The day was the perfect way to explore the wine region around Queenstown, and we would highly recommend Alpine Wine Tours to anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable wine tour!
Incredible experience. Emma from Alpine Wine Tours was awesome. So friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and fun too! Two excellent wine regions in Central Otago. Both Te Kano Winery and Carrick Winery were outstanding with some great wine tastings and stunning views. Gibbston Valley and the Wine Cave was an absolute treat. Highly recommended and a must do experience with Emma and Alpine Wine Tours.
Emma was a fantastic guide, and her dog Bella was the perfect co-pilot! We visited boutique wineries that were unique spots when compared to other tours I’d looked at. As a result, we got to visit wonderful, quiet wineries with stunning views. Lunch was fantastic as well. Overall, we felt we got a comprehensive, highly interactive trip through some of New Zealand’s beautiful Pinot Noir region.
We had an absolutely fantastic day with Alpine Wine Tours! Emma was an amazing tour guide so friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating. She even went out of her way and was able to accomodate picking us up from our Airbnb in Arrowtown, which was such a thoughtful touch. We did the Queenstown wine tour and visited three beautiful wineries. The transport was super comfortable, and we were lucky enough to have a gorgeous sunny day, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Emma went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful day, and everything was relaxed, well organised and enjoyable from start to finish. I would highly recommend Alpine Wine Tours to anyone visiting Queenstown it’s absolutely worth doing, and Emma is the perfect guide! 🍷☀️ We’ll definitely be booking with Alpine Wine Tours again!
The tour was great, loved the wineries we visited and the ride was comfortable. Bella the dog was also super cute 🐾
Wow! Travelling through the gorge and experiencing the wineries further out from Gibson Valley was amazing. It’s gives you a touch of New Zealand’s wine country that so many people are yet to discover. Seeing the Gibson valley wine cave was a nice touch to finished the day. We were lucky to travel along side Bella the wine dog. All 3 wineries were just great 10/10 experience.
This tour was so good! Te Kano winery was stunning, wines delicious and hosted beautifully. Emma has designed a lovely day 😊
Emma was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly! Can’t recommend her enough. Thank you for a fabulous day full of learning and tasting 😊
The guide was terrific and full of information.
A great day with Emma. She was knowledgeable about the area and made sure all of us enjoyed the day.
Thank you Emma for providing my partner and I a truly one-of-a-kind experience. We sampled so many fantastic wines, and have come away with a couple of bottles. We are so happy we chose you to conduct this tour with. You were so much fine, and the wineries we experienced were incredible! Thank you!!
We were very fortunate in being only three guests so we had a private Wine tour. Emma was excellent and knew history and importance of the wine region in great detail. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable and Emma is an excellent driver.
This was a great tour! Tour guide was very knowledge and super easy to talk too! Really enjoyed the variety of wine tasting and Lunch was spectacular!
Great winery tour. The guide was super knowledgeable and there was just enough time at all wineries. .. Lunch was spectacular. Definitely recommend!!
Very informative and delicious tastings in gorgeous setting
We had a fabulous day with Emma on our winery tour. Beautiful wineries, delicious wines and food and gorgeous scenery. What more could you ask for? Emma gave us great commentary along the way and we never felt rushed. Lunch at Kinross was delicious. Don’t hesitate to book with Emma, she’s a delight. Should I also mention that we had a brief encounter with Jason Mamoa at Amisfield? What a bonus. Well played Emma 😆
Emma and Bella were wonderful to travel with and see the wine region! We enjoyed the three wineries very much and the weather was gorgeous! Lunch was delicious as well — Emma did a great job curating a memorable day for our family.
Emma did an excellent job and provided a wonderful day. She was knowledgeable and shared wine and local information. The tastings she had arranged were wonderful fun places with friendly knowledgeable staff and Emma took care of every detail. There was no pressure to buy anything. Bella the wine dog was a sweet addition.
This was a great tour of the Gibbston Valley. Emma was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable about the area and the different wines we tasted. Don’t miss this tour if you’re interested in wine.
Emma was amazing and it was so interesting to learn about the history of the wine region, taste amazing wines, and try boutique wines that are truly exclusive. I would 100% recommend this tour
Absolutely wonderful Winetour to three very different and all excellent winecellars - Emma was amazing and we had really good conversation about both the Wine, the story behind and facts about NZ- Winetasting really a treat
Really great experience. Ended up being a small tour group but that honestly made it more enjoyable. I’m not a big wine connoisseur but I still enjoyed the tour and the hosting was better than the best!
Excellent tour highly recommend!! Emma and Bella the dog were great guides and the wine at all the wineries was amazing.
An absolutely great tour of the wineries with our guide, Emma. We loved each place that was picked for us with Amisfield being the favorite. Emma knew so much about the area and the wine. Really made the tour that much better! Would def book again!
We had a wonderful wine tour! The atmosphere of all of the wineries was unique and highlighted some of the smaller wineries. We were able to taste a wide variety of types throughout the 3 wineries.
We had a fantastic time touring three vineyards today. Emma gave us a brief history of the wine culture in New Zealand and did a great job selecting the vineyards we visited. We will definitely do this again when we’re back in the area!
Amazing wine tour! Got to experience 3 days different wineries (Gibbston Valley winery, Kinross and Amisfield), all with unique selling points. Enjoyed the commentary in between wineries in regards to the history of the Central Otago wine region. Overall very well organised and guide was very well informed. Highly recommend! Bella the wine dog is also very cute, and a great addition to the tour!
Emma and Bella were the best hosts! Intimate wine tasting experience with a local kiwi. So fun and wonderful! Bella the puppy was so cute and friendly
This is so much fun! Tour guide Emma is amazing, knowledgeable and fun. Wines are delicious, lunch was great. Stunning wineries. We had a ball and would definitely recommend. Ps puppy was adorable too.
The tour was delightful, the day was beautiful and the wine was terrific. Grant our driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the business, worth doing!
Wine tour promoted as dogs + wine tour. To be honest only booked because of the assumption that there would either be a dog riding with us or dogs to meet at the wineries… there was neither just a book of dogs ?? Very disappointing since tour was quite pricey. Wines were ok 2 of 3 wineries were subpar at best, however the one that served lunch was great. Would not recommend
It was a rainy day and perfect for tasting wine!! The wine dog had the day off, but our guide Grant was knowledgeable and excellent. The 3 wineries had a good selection, and there was ample time for browsing and buying. Would go again if I was in Queenstown!!
Excellent wine tour with Emma’s explanations and the cute puppy Bella. Learned and sampled a lot of what local wineries had to offer.
Had a great day with Emma who was lovely and very knowledgeable. Our companions on the trip were also a hoot! Wines were excellent. Predominantly pinot but fitted the bill nicely. All up would highly recommend.
If you love pinot and or dogs, this is the tour for you. Van was comfortable, water and bathrooms at each stop. Great variety of hosts and tastings. A lovely day trip, especially if it’s raining.
Had a fabulous day with Emma and puppy Bella, Emma has great knowledge and was such a fantastic tour guide. The wineries chosen were great
Emma and Bella were amazing hosts! We were lucky enough to be on Bella’s first tour, and she did great Emma provided a great insight into the area and it’s wines, as well as giving us plenty of time at each of the four stops Each of the vineyards offered something different, and Emma shared bits of information between each one Would absolutely recommended to anyone, and we’ll be sure to do it again next time we’re here
This was a very fun way to enjoy the beautiful wineries. Emma was a great guide and the food and wine on the tour were amazing.
My sister, mom and I had the best time on this tour!! Emma was kind and taught us so much about the area and New Zealand wine in general. We got to experience a few larger wineries for the area, as well as smaller more “mom and pop” wineries… and all were excellent! Emma specifically really made the tour, she felt like a friend by the end and we all wished she could accompany us throughout our travels. If you’re considering this tour, definitely book it! Cheers!
Definitely recommend this tour with Emma, Jess and Ruby, everyone had such an amazing day and the wine was amazing at each stop, also learnt a bit about the wine and the history. Can’t recommend this enough 10/10
Wow - what a fantastic day. Met some amazing people and made many new friends. Do our guide was so generous and went out of her way to make this a special experience. The wines were amazing too. Thanks for an incredible experience.
Just wow! We travelled through the Gibbston Valley with Emma and her furry sidekick Ruby and their knowledge of the wine industry and the Central Otago region is second to none. We visited four of the best wineries in the valley, sampled a large number, purchased a few, and then ran back two days later to buy more because we couldn’t stop thinking about them! Great value for money tour with the friendliest guides (human and dog).
We had an excellent time with Rudy the wine dog and even met some other dogs along the way. Emma was a ver knowledgeable guide, explaining the history of the region and grape-growing. In addition the wines were top notch.
This was an amazing and perfect end to our time in Queenstown! Emma and her dog Ruby were the perfect and knowledgeable guides that took us to 4 great wineries in Queensyown, Otago…including the wine cave at Gibbston Valley wines — my husband and I also take pictures and we had great views on top of lovely wine, 10/10!
Emma and Ruby were fantastic hosts and guides through some Gibbston Valley wineries! It's clear that Emma has long standing relationships with everyone at the vineyards and we reaped the benefits of those relationships. The van was clean and comfortable, we were picked up and dropped off in a timely manner. Lunch at the 2nd (or was it the 3rd? ) stop was delicious, with plenty of options for all palates. The only downside was we didn't get to meet Ruby's best friend at the last stop
Grant was a great guide - informative and fun to chat with….pours were generous and the venue selections varied - great day trip!
The day started out wonderfully and we visited a couple of vineyards not normally on the wine tour schedule. Ruby the wine dog was lovely as an addition to the group. However the day turned sour after lunchtime when our host became angry at us for not having paid by the time she brought the van around to pick us up. None of us in the group had heard that this was what was happening so we were surprised at the mood change. She also made a scene about the fact we ordered an extra 2 glasses (between 4 people) because the wine we wanted wasn’t being offered as a tasting. Most annoyingly, the host asked us what our favourite wines were as soon as we got on the bus; she then used this as a means of directing every cellar door on what to give us (rather than letting the cellar door staff give us what they wanted to). As wine collectors we were annoyed by a this, as our money was wasted by the tour driver’s opinion dictating what we were able to try. Just let the bloody wine cellar staff tell us what they’re good at! I’ll go back to all the vineyards again but not with this tour group or host. 2/5 mainly for the quality of the vineyards
Emma and Ruby were excellent guides, and the wine was outstanding. We got around safely and stopped for tastings/lunch at 4 locations. The guide was flexible and accommodated everyone. Thanks Emma!
I booked my tour fairly last minute and Emma was on top of it. I received a warm welcome upon pickup. Our group was fun and 5 were repeat customers! Ruby the wine do was also with us and I absolutely love that Alpine does this as it makes the experience unique. Emma was very organized and fun to spend the day with. She has a good relationship with all of the wineries we went to. The selection of wineries was great as each offered a different kind of experience. The hotel pickup and drop off were nice too. Fantastic day!
