Queenstown Tandem Paragliding From Coronet Peak

Pilot allowed me to fly a bit.Beaitiful scenery.Very thorough briefing.Wished I could have gone back up and did it again.

Awesome views! The drive to the site and back is picturesque, and the glide down was peaceful, even when we did the roller coaster!

This was an incredible experience with breathtaking views. My operator (Andy) was spectacular, talking me through the process and making me feel comfortable prior to flight. We even got a chance to do a few tricks. Highly recommend this experience for some of the most epic views of Queenstown.

Awesome experience. From about 2200ft travelled 3.5km and was in the air about 15 minutes. My pilot Ty was excellent, great sense of humour and created photos to record a lasting memory. Recommended

Skytrek is the best! Good rate, they explain everything multiple times, everyone’s in a good mood and best spot to start from, highest in NZ at 700m. Pat, my paragliding buddy, was amazing! He really knows his stuff and I could tell he loves what he’s doing!

A fantastic experience. Togi was an experienced pilot who was informative and instilled me with confidence from the outset. I felt safe and yet exhilarated flying above the hills paragliding with amazing views.

They did a wonderful job with this. The guides were extremely friendly and experienced. They took safety very seriously and it was a gorgeous ride!!

Do not book with this company. The weather in Queenstown was cold windy and rainy all week. Three times I went to the business requested my money back. They refused. Then the day we were to go they said $150 per person to change. I will be demanding my money back from these crooks from Viator. However don’t even think about booking with these jerks!

Really awesome experience going hang gliding with this group. Really easy bus ride up to the launch, quick safety briefing and then was sailing in the skies for ~15 mins with a friendly and confident guide.

It was an easy activity as in well organised, the check in was smooth, driven up by nice friendly people and the instructor/pilot was great. Had an amazing time just wish it lasted twice as long!

We flew from Wanaka past the waterfall and it was the best most awesome day ever. My children 9 and 11 years loved it! Even my husband who hates heights went for it and had a brilliant time. The guides are incredible, very professional, made us feel really safe and confident, they were really lovely at looking after the children. The views are out of this world, lake Wanaka, snow capped mountains, waterfalls. My guide let me fly and we did tricks on the way down. I’ve done paragliding in a few places but this was by far the best experience. Unbelievable day, best day in New Zealand. Thank you!

Such an incredible experience! It was both peaceful and exhilarating with absolutely amazing views! My pilot Burak was funny, informative, and comforting during the experience. He made sure I enjoyed the moment while also capturing it beautifully on camera. 10/10 would recommend and would absolutely do again!

Fabulous views. My pilot Tugrul was very safety conscious, and we gained quite a long flight. The shuttle transfer was smooth. This was my second paraglide after one in Chamonix. Got to do some steering under guidance. Fun! Just as professional as in Europe. Recommend this to anyone visiting Queenstown.

Easy check in, shuttle to jump site and instructions. My pilot Sedat was helpful and calming during the flight. He made sure to make it exactly what I wanted. Perfect experience.

Tai, my guide for my Queenstown Tandem Paragliding adventure, titled this for me. We did this activity as a family of 7 (children 13 - 21). From check in to take-off to landing to drop-off, it was a smooth experience! We were all 1st time gliders and all off us agreed we would do it again. I was impressed by each of our pilot’s positivity, patience, and genuine interest in making the experience perfect for each of us. The take-off was fairly effortless and the glide was super smooth. Great weather offered great views! We took off from Coronet Ski Resort area and landed in the direction of Arrowtown—about a 700m descent and 3 km journey. Several of the pilots did maneuvers in the air to add to the excitement of the ride (if we wanted). We highly recommend adding a paragliding experience to your Queenstown adrenaline list!

Do it!!! I am 65 yrs old, and I loved every minute of it! The staff members were nice, friendly, and helpful. The pilots were wonderful - informative, reassuring, professional, etc.

Absolutely terrible. I highly recommend going through someone else. They were not helpful at all and was not able to go but paid for it.

Had a blast. I wish I had more money and I would do it several more times . Cagri was an awesome pilot and very nice. He even let me “drive”. I reserved tickets online from hotel room at the Hilton. Caught a shuttle to downtown Queenstown and walked to the shop . After getting weighed we were shuttled about 20 minutes to the launch pad. It was a nice ride and our driver was good to ask our names and make everyone feel welcome aboard.

We had a great flight together with Burak and Tye. We had lots of fun. Thank you very much guys for this great experience. We would certainly do this again when we have the opportunity.

The paragliding experience is awesome . The tandem pilots are all experienced, from countries like Israel, Venezuela, Turkey, USA etc. Of course it is expensive.. what hurts is the 2% surcharge they ( and most other establishments in NZ) charge for credit card payments. Add to that the huge $80 per head charge for the photos of your glide .. they tell you about it after you are already signed on of course !

This is a better experience than the extremely (and I mean beyond absurdly) overpriced tourist trap experience of Gondola area paraglide. Skytrek will quickly take you direct from downtown on short ride to takeoff. Paraglide is longer and more scenic than Gondola area one. Alexander was my excellent pilot.

Fly like a bird in the scenic valley and mountains. It is super safe and an exhilarating experience. The organisers, the pilots and the support staff ensured our nerves were settled and each person was extremely friendly. I would strongly recommend this company 👌.

It should be clear that this activity requires a long bus ride up a mountain and is outside of Queenstown, adding 40minutes to a 15minute jump

This was my first paragliding experience and it was absolutely fantastic. My pilot Lawrence was patient, encouraging and made sure that the take off and landing were both smooth. He took special care because I’ve had a spine surgery in the past. My overall experience was awesome. I highly recommend it!

I had a great time paragliding with Skytreck! It was my first time paragliding, and I can’t recommend it more! Skytreck was very organized and efficient, and I felt very safe the whole time. You meet at their office in downtown Queenstown, and then they bus you to the take-off spot, which is about a 15-minute drive. The take-off is at one of the ski resorts and is the highest launch point in New Zealand! But because it is inland from the lake, you will NOT be paragliding right over the main downtown area and the lake; instead, you are further inland from the lake. But of course, you still get gorgeous views of the mountains and lake. The total flight time is about 12-15 minutes. The entire experience is about 1.5-2 hours.

Jaden, my pilot, was absolutely wonderful. I was so comfortable. I was never afraid. I was eyes confident that he was taking very good care of me. Highly recommend this tour. And this is coming from a sissy!

My family and I (Mum, Dad and two boys 12yrs and 13yrs) all took the plunge and had the best experience ever! We picked Queenstown Tandem Paragliding over the other operator "in town" as this afforded us the opportunity to fly from a higher altitude and also, not have to stump up the extra cast for the gondola ride (not insignificant for 4 people). The staff in town were very friendly, professional and efficient - only to be match by the pilots who had a wealth of experience, explained every aspect of the flight thoroughly and made adventure unforgettable. We were ready to fly again as soon as we landed and will absolutely do that the next time we're in town. Do yourself a favour and give it a go!!

Our family of 5 all did tandem rides today and loved it! All our guides were great and so were the staff who drive the buses.

Don’t bother booking this, the operator will just cancel if they don’t feel like doing it. Weather was great, they cancelled twice after we rearranged. They just wrote off the full day even though the evening weather was ideal. Just go and find a tourist kiosk and book it directly with the provider in Queenstown - there are plenty of options available. Best to do it when you know the weather is going to be perfect than book in advance. Don’t bother with Viator for this type of booking.
