It is a fun thing to do however I tried to have another look at the T&Cs, but for some reason I thought we had booked the time slot for ourselves, we had 4, then a few minutes later another 6, then another one.. we were 4 guys and it seemed a little uncomfortable and it’s too small a space for 11 people trying to have a swim and sauna. This should have been outlined somewhere in your post. If I was a young female with 4 older guys they don’t know it would be a little daunting

Itinerary
Arrive at St Omer Wharf, just a short walk from central Queenstown, where they check in, store belongings in secure lockers and receive a quick welcome briefing. From there, step onto the purpose-built floating pontoon, home to handcrafted Finnish saunas overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Lake Whakatipu and the surrounding alpine mountains. The experience follows a simple rhythm of heat, cold and rest. Guests move between the sauna, refreshing lake plunges, waterfall buckets and cool-down spaces, with most completing two to three rounds during their session. Between rounds, relax on the deck or in the cool room while taking in uninterrupted lake and mountain views.

Awesome experience with a stunning view. The plunge pool into the lake was great.
A must to do first thing in the morning. What a majestic way to wake up in the morning. Sitting in the sauna looking at the lake, snow capped mountains and wild life is an experience everyone should experience. The enclosed bathing area is a perfect way for newcomers to feel safe and comfortable. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.
Incredibly relaxing. Make sure to bring a water bottle. You will find a rhythm and feel so refreshed afterwards.
A wonderful way to finish a few days of skiing! The plunge pool is a must (but get ready for it 🥶)!
I am from Canberra and we do have floating sauna there. Always wanted to have this experience. Finally, did it in Queenstown. Friendly staff. Good location. Had a Taylor Swift songs playlist on the background. Loved it.
A sauna whilst floating on the lake, with a stunning view followed by a cold plunge into the lake to really wake up your senses!
A beautiful view from the sauna as you float on the lake before taking the plunge into the 8 deg C lake.
It wasn't a private session....but everyone was very friendly. Wonderful views especially as it was a wintry evening the mountains were misty and it was later in the evening.
Best scenery for a sauna, and the cold plunge into the lake was incredible. Highly recommend for a post- ski recovery!
The sauna and cold plunge was a relaxing end to our first day in Queenstown. Great views of the lake.
Awesome experience thanks! Superb views & a well set up operation. Highly recommend
Lovely experience cold plunge uses the lake water so temp today reported to be 12° obviously this will alter depending on the season and weather Definitely recommend especially after a hike
We ran into another couple while hiking to the top of Bob’s Peak who told us about this amazing sauna and cold plunge experience. It was right on the waterfront near St. Omer Park. Super value! Over an hour of 15 minute hot sauna sessions each followed by a plunge into the fresh waters of Lake Wakatipu. Clean facilities, friendly staff, lockers and fresh towels. Highly recommend this refreshing gift to yourself.
I was shocked to learn that Watershed had only been open for six weeks upon my arrival but I have a feeling it will be there for years to come. I’ve experienced a sauna/cold plunge combo in several cities in different parts of the world, but this was by far the most breathtaking. First of all, the staff is wonderful. They were all so welcoming and seemed genuinely excited to offer an amazing experience. Second, the sauna itself was very clean and large enough to not feel cramped even though I was there with seven other people. You sit facing a pair of giant windows with the most unbelievable view… I’m not embarrassed to admit that I found myself crying at one point staring up at the mountains that surround Lake Wakatipu. They are located right at the edge of the center of Queenstown, meaning that they are isolated from the noise of the city and the lookout is unobstructed by any buildings, it’s just straight-up rocky mountains and reflective water. It allows you to experience the magic of Queenstown in a whole new way. And finally, the glacial plunge. I was lucky to catch it at the latter part of summer where the lake water was around 15° C, but there is nothing like dipping yourself in that crystal water. I think I was able to go back and forth between the plunge and the sauna four times before my 75 minutes was up. If you’re considering it at all, I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you for an experience I will remember for the rest of my life ❤️
. This was a peak experience - the views from the sauna are unsurpassable and the water was deliciously cold. The staff - Tobias and Nick were friendly and helpful This is a must-do activity in Queenstown.
The view and the sauna combo is amazing! It can be a little rocky from the waves but it’s all part of the experience.
I visited the brand new Watershed Sauna in Queenstown and just WOW! It was amazing! Everything about it was fantastic, and the views were absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Queenstown!
