Visited four wineries with food platter at Carrick. Generally 4-5 tastings in each wineries. Ably assisted by John who was driver and guide. In a Mercedes van with 10 people in total. Really enjoyable day. Rushed a bit at Misha's but not fault of company. All others excellent.

A fabulous day out at 4 wineries including a magnificent lunch. Martin was our wonderful, very experienced guide who shared lots of his local knowledge with us. Highly recommend this trip.

My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic day with our tour guide, Pip. She was knowledgeable about the region and had an extensive understanding of the wine industry in the area. Pip was personable, easy to have a laugh with, and absolutely made the whole experience - and she later revealed it was her very first time leading this tour - we never would have guessed it - she was a true pro. Our favourite winery was Monte Christo, and the lunch at the following stop was great to keep us going for the day. Would highly recommend this tour.

Our group of 4 ladies were fortunate enough to join Craig on a wine tour recently. The ever affable Craig took us along with 3 other lovely groups of people, to 4 fantastic wineries in the Central Otago wine region. Each unique in their own way. With stunning scenery, friendly & knowledgable staff & of course delicious wine. We visited Kinross, Carrick Winery, Misha's Vineyard & Monte Christo. Our lunch stop at Carrick was amazing - food, wine & views and the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous. Helped along by the perfect day of blue skies & sunshine. Craig was the best guide, sharing interesting commentary on history & fun facts of the region along the way. He was super accommodating & easy going. We were very lucky to join this particular wine tour as we all got along so well & all enjoyed each others company & had a fun sing along in the van on the way back to Queenstown. Would highly recommend & hope to do another tour with Appellation Wine Tours again one day.

While I don’t drink wine, I certainly did by the end of the tour. Very informative, food was great and Paul our guide, was fantastic.

We had an absolutely fantastic day on our boutique wine tour in Queenstown with Craig from Appellation Wine Tours. From the moment we stepped on the bus, Craig created a fun, relaxed atmosphere with his great sense of humour and endless supply of jokes. He has a real talent for bringing people together and encouraged everyone in the group to get to know one another, which made the day feel more like an outing with friends than a typical tour. Craig’s knowledge of the region and its wines was excellent, but what really stood out was his enthusiasm and personality. He made every stop enjoyable and ensured everyone was having a great time throughout the day. The wineries were fantastic, the scenery was spectacular, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. If you’re looking for a wine tour in Queenstown that is fun, friendly, and unforgettable, I highly recommend Appellation Wine Tours and Craig. It was one of the highlights of our trip and a day we’ll remember for a long time.

John was a class act of a guide — knowledgeable, hilarious and the works. We were also fortunate to have an energetic and fun tour group which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The wines were wonderful so we couldn’t help but purchase a bottle from each winery. They also went the extra mile to return us a pair of sunnies that we left behind straight to our hotel. Highly recommend.

The best wine experience we have had! And I honestly think it came down to our amazing tour guide Phil and the beautiful group we had. Phil was super knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and ensured everyone was looked after and taken care of at all times. He has been the best guide I’ve ever had! The 4 wineries we went too were fantastic with our favourites being Misha & Kinross. Susie at Misha was super passionate and absolutely brilliant, and Brian at Kinross was our tasting specialist, and was incredibly knowledgeable and we all felt well taken care of, and walked away from both with so much more insight and understanding. I could not recommend this tour enough, and we walked away with 3 bottles of wine! Would 100% recommend and do again, and honestly for all ages (we are 26 & 27). Thank you again, Appellation & Phil!

Great tour with great wine and food! Comfortable bus to get around and very informative tour guide. Pick up was great right from our hotel so no stress and dropped back there.

We are loving our visit to Queenstown and this winery tour was a fantastic way to spend the day. Apart from the wine, you got to see the countryside and get a fabulous run-down from guide John. We got picked up and dropped off at our hotel and the group of participants was small and fun. The wine servings were very generous, and the lunch was very tasty. I would highly recommend this tour.

I loved this trip, I was in New Zealand for 2 weeks and I'd have to say this was one of my favourites. Phil was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge along with his sidekick, Seb who knew so much about wine, they were the perfect pairing. Honestly not one complaint, thank you for a great tour. The wines were great as well as the teams that served us, also the lunch we have was really nice, I would highly recommend this tour 🙂

It was pouring like Crazy which made the next day’s Milford Sounds tour spectacular but we found a way to still enjoy Queenstown and not get wet by going on this amazing wine tour. It totally changed our perspective on what Sauvignon Blanca (which i never used to drink) and Pinot Noirs could be. Special mention to Kinross Winery and Carrick Winery for their spectacular wines and views. Also not to forget our very entertaining guide Martin.

Beautiful afternoon driving through three different wine regions and visiting four boutique wineries. The scenery was breathtaking the entire way, the wines were delicious, and the people on the tour were fantastic. It was also really easy to order bottles and have them shipped home. Highly recommend this tour — it was the perfect, fabulous ending in New Zealand!

We had a great time on our tour, sampling some terrific wines from the region and viewing some beautiful scenery. The lunch was fantastic, and our guide was very knowledgeable about the local history.

I did this tour solo unexpectedly and had a great time. Martin (our guide) was great. I really enjoyed Waitiri which was our first stop. I enjoyed the quaintness of the place and the staff which was also the experience at Misha’s. Carrick did provide a very nice lunch which catered to me as a vegetarian. The wine and the views were good but I did feel like the experience was a bit commercial. Our last stop at Kincross was great, the wines were so good I subscribed to receive a delivery.

We had the best day out with our tour guide John. He made everyone feel so welcome and his knowledge of the wineries and Queenstown was amazing. What a great day out! Tasted amazing wines from winemakers I was completely unaware existed. Beautiful scenery and locations. Lunch was incredible. Craig our guide was excellent, funny and full of information.

We had a wonderful experience. All of the wineries provided excellent service, and our guide, Martin, was excellent. We learned a great deal about the area and enjoyed some wonderful wine.

This was an amazing tour with different wines and vineyard stories and an amazing food experience at The Stoker Room in the middle and a cheese platter to end. Every vineyard we visited created a personable experience which no doubt can be attributed to the relationship held with Appellation Wine Tours and our excellent guide Marty. It was truly one of the best wine tours I have experienced and I will be recommending this experience to my friends and family.

The tour was beautifully organised with a small group of 7 and gave a wonderful taste of the spectacular Central Otago wine region. The selection of vineyards was excellent, showcasing not only incredible wines but also the stunning scenery that makes Otago so special. A special thank you to Paul, whose knowledge of the region, local history, and winemaking was outstanding. His friendly, easy-going attitude made the day relaxed, informative, and a lot of fun. Great wine tour and scenic drive! We had 6 people in our group which was a nice size for the van and for the tastings. Graham was a great driver and guide. Super chill. Highly recommend this tour to explore the scenery outside of Queenstown. We went to 4 wineries (Brennan, Carrick, Misha, and Kinross) which all had lovely hosts and about 4-5 tastings each - so wonderful! The wine selection was delectable and the lunch provided was so yummy. This tour was a great value, especially booking it last minute. My mom and I had a great mother daughter bonding time and it was fun meeting the other guests in the group.

We had a fantastic wine tour with our guide Taimi, who was very friendly and provided us with detailed history of the Gibbston Valley and Cromwell/Bannockburn wine regions. We visited four wineries, and while they were all great, we especially enjoyed Waitiri Creek and Misha's Vineyard. Their selection of wines were great and we found them all to be delightful. The lunch platter was also delicious, but the rushed wine pairing alongside the lunch was less favourable. We found the other wineries offered us more details around the vineyards and each of the individual wines we tasted.

This was a great wine tour, door to door pick up and drop off, great driver Graham who shared lots of information while driving to locations. The lunch was excellent and as a Vegetarian I was given food I could eat. The wineries and wine were great and the tastings were very generous. Well worth every penny!

Our guide Martin was very knowledgeable and a good driver. I learned a lot about the wine regions Gibbston, Bannockburn and Cromwell. We had some great tastings at Mt Rosa, Carrick, Misha's Vineyard and Kinross. The meal served at Carrick was delicious and the site was beautiful.

Was really nice to take the relatively long drive to the wineries. The scenery was so beautiful and our driver was so knowledgeable and was able to give us a lot of history which was fun. We made some new friends and drank some great wine.

I asked in advance if I could just taste reds. This seemed to be ok. Nearer the time they contacted me and said they can’t change and to pay more for the private tour. On cancellation, they helped themselves to a cancellation fee. What a shambles of a company. Use someone reputable not these muppets.
