We were recommended Over the Top Helicopters for a unique honeymoon experience. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging and made us feel like a valued client. The picnic hamper was amazing and the champagne was yummy. However, the real thrill was being flown in a modern comfortable squirrel helicopter to the top of Cecil Peak, and being left alone to enjoy endless views on a beautiful sunny day. This is an experience that we will never forget. Thank you OTT Helicopters.

Amazing experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! Our pilot Rene was great, he recommended a couple of nice spots to land. It wasn’t cold and we were shielded by the rocks for the light wind on one side at the time, so more than comfortable throughout. Our Champagne picnic hamper provided was impressive and delicious, we couldn’t finish it all, including the beers that went untouched. From start to finish we were very happy with everything and highly recommend.

Having waited 20 years to do this, we weren’t disappointed. From the time of booking, communication was great. This is a very professional company, friendly and approachable. Don’t have a late breakfast! The platter was outstanding but just weren’t hungry. We spent 2 hours, just taking it in. Fabulous! Am keen to get back and do it again..

I booked this trip as a surprise for my wife and it could not have been better. The team were friendly and helpful. The flight itself was comfortable and offered brilliant views over Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Range. After a very scenic flight we were landed into an idyllic spot with a spectacular view. We were dropped off and left with an excellent picnic containing everything you could want. We had chosen to stay for around 2 hours, but were told we could choose to be picked up earlier if we wanted or stay longer by letting the team know. Having such a beautiful spot all to ourselves truly was magic. I can't recommend this highly enough - especially for a special occasion.

Great experience. This is a slick operation with a state of the art chopper and friendly staff. Take something warm as it can get chilly on the peak whilst drinking your bubbles and eating your pavlova. Would definitely recommend using these guys.

Our pilot Ryan was skillful and knowledgeable. First time in a helicopter but put at ease. These helicopters are stable and comfortable. Some bumps and lumps expected in the mountain range of course. I highly recommend the tour.

Absolutely spectacular experience all around, thank you guys!! A must do in Queenstown, unlike staying at The Dairy hotel which is a dump with awful service and a dreadful lying owner Charlotte....

The name of the company says it all.... Over The Top, is right, and we loved every minute of it! This experience was something straight out of Hollywood! A helicopter ride to the peak of a remote mountain, a gourmet picnic lunch with champagne, and 360 degree views of Queenstown, the lake, and the surrounding mountains - there is no excursion that can top what you'll experience with this tour.

This was beyond my expectations of the best orientation of Queenstown I could have hoped for. Massive thanks to James and Rene for hosting our large group. They went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great experience whilst giving us a 1st class view of Queenstown's beauty. Over The Top - you certainly were!!!

I had planned a trip to Queenstown to propose to my now fiancée and thought that a landing on a remote hill/mountain with a picnic would be a great way to do it, so emailed OTT and was delighted to find that this is in fact one of their options. I could not have planned this trip any better if I tried!! They picked us up, the flight out was great, they dropped us in a perfect location with wind shelter and great views in mind, and the picnic supply was amazing. Even if I had put the most thought I could imagine into what to include I would not have been able to come up with what they provided, we were blown away. Their flexibility with pickup time was also very nice. I could not recommend these guys highly enough. We also upgraded the sparkling to Moet for ~$40 more too.

Couldn't ask for a more amazing experience. I booked this as a special trip to propose to my partner. Jess at the HQ was amazing in keeping in contact with me, as due to weather we had to change the date of the flight. They had marked it was for a Proposal, so she texted and emailed me so I wouldn't accidentally be overheard by my fiance. The whole experience was amazing! From the Van pickup at our hotel, to the overview of everything at the Helicopter office, to the flight itself and then the drop-off back at base. It was magical and the scenery where you get dropped is breathtaking, as we were dropped at Cecil peak, about 4000 feet up! All the picnic gear is dropped off as well, with a picnic blanket, chairs, cutlery, wine flutes - the WORKS! The platter and spread of food and drinks was amazing! They provided a bottle of champagne and also enough food for 3-4 people! It was just amazing and couldn't ask for more! Of course my now-fiance said YES and we have about 200 pictures to remember the whole experience! Thanks to everyone at OTT for the heli-trip of a lifetime!

A group of us landed on Cecil Peak and had the champagne picnic for a friend's 30th...WOW. We have all been living in QT for a number of years and this was by far the best experience we have had yet. From the staff, to the food everything was perfect! Thank you Brad and the team who organised such a brilliant trip for us!

How does one say a company does exactly what they say? Look no further. Safe. Fun. Exactly as they promise. And not a bad place to practice your golf swing looking into Queenstown. Good food on the picnic and receive exactly what you pay for.
