Premium Milford Sound Tour Including Cruise, Flight & Lunch

Great day! Worried about the weather but it cleared in the afternoon and NZ is beautiful!

We opted for the bus in plane back, was a great decision as we were back in Queenstown early afternoon. Weather was amazing. Our guide was very good and entertaining. We were lucky in that we saw Dolphins, Penguins and Fur Seals.

Danny who is the driver and guilder is very friendly. I like his soundtrack on the way to the Milford sound. A fanatic trip

Milford Sound is beautiful, as well as the Fiordland National Park. We had a tour with Danny and he was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable and fun. I love his playlist. His choice of music was on point for the places we have visited.

Lovely day with Raj. Excellent tour with a knowledgeable guide, lots of gorgeous views. The weather on the sound was cloudy and misty and that cancelled our flight plans, but we made the best of the afternoon. We would highly recommend. Great communication with the company as well.

Was an excellent day. Very organised, lots of stops for breaks and photo opportunities, van very clean and spacious, curated music was well done, lunch was excellent and enough for the trip, like the cruise with a smaller group. Danny, our guide was brilliant with a great sense of humour, very informative and helpful, made the long journey entertaining. Overall, a tour with cheeky kiwi a very high recommendation

Absolutely fantastic trip. From the organisation and communication to the pick up and drop off, everything went perfectly. Nicky our driver was wonderful. Thoroughly recommend doing the coach, cruise and flight back, it was just fabulous and worth every penny, we loved it!

Cheeky Kiwis tour to Milford sounds was incredible. Our tour guide, Danny, kept us safe, on time, entertained, fed and watered. We stopped at some hot spots on the way to soak it all in which made a decently long journey all the more interesting and enjoyable. The cruise itself was breath taking where we saw penguins, seals and of course the incredible sounds (fjords) themselves. My best wishes to Danny, I sincerely hope you can remain in this beautiful country as long as you wish! #KeepDannyInNZ

This was such an amazing experience, and we loved every part of the journey. Danny our host from Cheey Kiwi was excellent and looked after us all. He made the bus journey fun with plenty of stops at fantastic and interesting locations. The cruise and plane flight home were absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend.

Danny was our guide, and he was amazing! He took so many great photos of us, was knowledgeable, had a great music soundtrack for different parts of the trip, and gave us a lot of tips for our own photos. We forgot to mention we were vegan during booking, but he still made sure we had food by selecting out the chickpea salad and fruit from the lunchbox to make sure we still had something to eat. If you go, try to book with Danny! Highly recommend driving in and flying out. Our pilot, Annabelle, was great! She also took great photos of us and flew us around to many great photo locations. The whole experience was unreal and absolutely worth it. This should be on everyone's bucket list.

Fantastic experience getting there with our driver (Zagdar?) really nice, knowledgeable and quick to help with any request, bloke deserves a raise. The Milford Sound cruise was spectacular, the only downside is the photos don't do the experience justice. No wonder it's known as the 8th wonder of the world! Just when I thought it couldn't get better, the flight back to Queenstown gave views of what I had just seen and so much more! I'd urge anyone to indulge in this must see and do bucket list item.

Couldn't ask for a better day tour! Shu our tour driver was friendly, informative & gave us numerous photo stops along the way. The cruise in Milford Sound was spectacular - and we saw dolphins! Then flying back over the show capped mountains ended the day in a literal high!

I was not looking forward to the long coach ride but it was actually very much worth it. We stopped at so many picturesque places for photo opportunities and also fed llamas and interacted with kea! The driver Dan was also very entertaining and had lots of great stories to share. The cruise itself was amazing but the flight back to Queenstown was the winner! We flew over snow covered mountains, glaciers and lakes- breathtaking. Can’t fault the trip- well worth doing if you’re in this part of NZ

Abby was an awesome guide. Especially appreciated the curated music which she played at key moments in the ride, which made it all very much more special and dramatic. What an experience!

What an absolutely spectacular day out! The entire operation ran like clockwork from start to finish, and the four of us couldn't have asked for a better way to experience the sheer scale and beauty of Milford Sound. The water was stunning, the logistics were seamless, and getting right up close to the cascading waterfalls was an absolute highlight for the whole family. A huge shoutout to our driver and guide, Jason. He kept us thoroughly entertained the whole way down. I'm still trying to figure out if his relentless jokes or the hairpin turns on the Milford Road were more dizzying, but he navigated both like a total pro! The absolute cherry on top was the scenic flight. Our pilot, Isabelle, was fantastic and gave us an incredibly smooth ride over the peaks. This was quite a relief, considering she deadpanned right before takeoff that it was her very "first time" flying an airplane. We all had a minor heart attack before we realized she was completely pulling our leg! Her landing ended up being significantly smoother than Jason’s punchlines. If you're on the fence about booking this tour, just do it. Incredible views, a wonderfully organized itinerary, and a brilliantly funny crew. Highly recommended!

We loved the drive, cruise, fly experience to see Milford Sound. We were able to see so many beautiful sights in just one day. Hannah was an amazing guide and took great care of us. We especially loved the stories and information along the drive.

Our guide Abbey was the best, she entertained us, answered all our questions and shared so much great info on the area. The play list was great, it was a wonderful day out.

We booked the Premium Bus-Cruise-Fly package and it was worth every cent. The entire process was incredibly thoughtful and friendly from start to finish. ​The highlight was definitely the small group setting, which made the whole experience feel much more exclusive compared to the larger tour buses we saw. Unlike the bigger cruises that seemed rushed, our cruise took much more time, allowing us to truly soak in the atmosphere. Because we were on a smaller vessel, we were able to get incredibly close to the waterfalls, which was a breathtaking experience. ​Every detail was well-managed, allowing us to truly recharge and enjoy the stunning scenery without any stress. If you want a professional, seamless, and high-end experience in New Zealand, I highly recommend this package. Great people, great views, and a world-class arrangement!

This all day tour includes everything-bus, boat & plane. Definitely worth the trip to such scenic spot as Milford Sound. Sonya was a fun & informative guide.

We had a wonderful experienced guide (gosh I forget his name right now-it was his last day sadly and he was amazing). Got picked up at our hotel without a hitch. On the way to Milford Sound, there are plenty of stops to get off and take unreal photos of the landscapes and scenery. Once you arrive, the cruise is top notch and the views or the mountains, waterfalls, etc is spectacular. We had a flight back, but sadly it was cancelled due to weather (and they promptly refunded us for the flight difference). Unfortunately, can't control the weather and safety comes first. Highly recommend and definitely don't book anything exhausting the night before or the day after this tour as you'll need to recover from the long but fun day.

The bus ride and tour with multiple stops on the way to the Sound was very nice. I do recommend taking the plane ride back to Queenstown though, as the bus ride is about 3 hours each way. Plus, it gives the opportunity to see the landscape from land, sea and air. All of which are truly amazing.

Great trip it was a good number of people not too big and Andy the driver was great providing stories and antidotes. He gave us s much information about what we were seeing and far we were until next stop. The weather was perfect for flight home and Isabella was a great pilot! Couldn’t have been any better!

Danny was an excellent tour guide, and the whole tour was easy and very engaging and fun. We made a bunch of quick stops up to Milford Sound for great photo opportunities. Danny offered to take everyone’s photos, and he’s a pro. He filled us in on the Mauri and European histories of the land. We had a great lunch included and the flexibility to eat anytime during the afternoon. It was a misty and drizzly day, which added to the drama of Milford Sound. The cruise itself was smooth and mostly quiet- perfect for relaxing and taking photos and enjoying the serenity and scale of the park. It’s truly magnificent and worth seeing if you are in Queenstown for even a day or two. My scenic flight home was unfortunately cancelled due to winds, but it was still fun driving back with Danny and the crew. We had become friends throughout the day, so it was nice to end the day with the whole group. I would highly recommend this tour.

Massively impressed by this tour. One of the best I’ve been on. Tour guide was super, schedule was great, the sights will take your breath away and finally the flight back was the coolest and most extraordinary thing I’ve done. Highly recommended!

This was an awesome experience. It was seamless everything ran like clockwork and we were never rushed. The guide/driver Glen was absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable but not to the point where you think please stop talking. He made time for everyone chatting and answering our questions. Glen was brilliant. He got us to our boat on Milford sound perfectly on time giving us clear instructions. He then showed us to our pilot for our return trip. Sad to say good bye! The mini van ride was very comfortable and lunch delicious. Glen even changed my dietary requirements at the last minute because I forgot. Highly recommend this company. Joe, our tour guide, was awesome! He really went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. He put his personal touch into it-- brought us rocks to skip on the lake and did a trivia game on the way home! Our scenic flight got canceled and it was no fault of Cheeky Kiwi's, but we appreciated that Joe kept us informed and even attempted to get us on another flight. Also, our refund for the flight was processed before we were even out of the Fiordland. Perfect way to see the beautiful stops along the way to the sound and we got back in record time. 10/10 would do again!!

Our tour to Milford Sound with Danny is one of the highlights of our New Zealand adventures. Danny started our tour with a friendly hello early in the morning. He made sure that all passengers were comfortable and settled and then he invited us to introduce ourselves to each other. This simple process set the tone for a sense of connection and fun during the whole (long) day. Milford Sound was incredible. It was well worth booking this day long tour. The countryside and towns on the trip were intriguing. Danny heightened our experience by sharing his curated soundtrack and even included fun games to meld the group and keep our spirits up. The flight back part of the experience was cancelled with no notice, the bus driving past the milford sound airfield with no warning, and only when we questioned this were we told the flight was cancelled with no further explanation at any point on the 3 hour return drive. Considering we had seen a flight take off no more than 5 min before our cruise docked, and both the tour guide and cruise guide has highlighted how lucky we were with the great weather, this was both very disappointing and unexplained.

We had booked the coach, cruise, fly tour, with us (me especially) being very excited to jump on a small plane for the scenic flight back to Queenstown. Alas, we had unfortunately picked a very, very rainy day, which meant the flight was cancelled. In every situation there is a positive, and our breaths were absolutely taken away by Milford Sound in full wet weather splendour! Cascading water falls, clouds hugging the cliffs, calm but dark seas. It was simply stunning. The drive to Milford itself was also a feast for the eyes, and we can't thank our guide and driver Jess enough for her expertise, knowledge and care in ensuring our trip ran smoothly, as well as instilling a lot of outstanding NZ knowledge into us! We will absolutely be back, as I definitely want to fly into and out of Milford. But I cannot fault anything with how our day went regardless.

Every part of the day ran on time and was beautifully managed. From pick up to drop off not a hitch. Abby from Cheeky Kiwi is a gem and was a wonderful guide. A small group of 13 in a comfy van, lots of stops and interesting information. Made the journey in easy. Lunchboxes included from Alpine Cafe were delicious. The hand off to Cruise Milford for the cruise of the Sound and later to Glenorchy Air for the flight back, was flawless. Highly recommend!

We booked bus, cruise fly back and they canceled our flight back last minute. Even though the driver asked other people on our bus if they would like to fly back and he booked fly back for them while ours was cancelled with cheeky kiwi. Disappointing experience and we were not planning on a total of 9 hours drive that day.

Luxury transport with an excellent guide. Amazing scenery to see via the drive as well as during the boat tour. The highlight being our flight. Great views over the mountains. Only small negative was packed lunch, which was a bit basic and needs improvement. Otherwise I would highly recommend this tour.

This was an awesome activity. It was me and my hubby. We enjoyed every single minute of it. We decided to do the 3.5 hr trail. We stopped several times for pics. It took us almost 4 hours as we stopped for a quick beer at a local brewery. The scenery was incredibly beautiful. Highly recommend!!

This trip was amazing. Views were stunning. Glad we had several stops on the way to take pictures. The van was very comfortable and with wifi. Flying back was an awesome experience. Overall, a must do activity!!

The charter bus ride was fun & beautiful. Abbey, our guide was delightful. She was knowledgeable & helped us connect. She told a beautiful Māori story & had lots of interesting facts about the beautiful area & Milford Sound National Park. The boat ride was gorgeous. Unfortunately we booked the flight home & it was canceled due to weather so we took the charter home. All was good though ~ we loved this excursion & would highly recommend.

We chose this tour because we liked the idea of taking the bus to Milford Sound and flying back to Queenstown, and honestly it was such a good decision. Totally worth the money. The drive down was beautiful. Our guide was really knowledgeable but also funny, which made the long ride feel easy. We stopped at a few scenic spots along the way to take photos, and every stop was stunning. Milford Sound itself is just incredible , the kind of place that doesn’t even look real. Flying back was the best part. It saved us about 4–5 hours of driving, and seeing the glacier-covered mountains from the plane was amazing. The views from above were unforgettable. The van was new and very comfortable, and everything felt well organized. Overall, this trip was worth every penny. I’m so glad we did it this way.

Sprinter van is nimble and comfortable drive enabling access to small pull-offs. the cruise was breathtaking, and the flight was one of the best experiences of my life cruising over glaciers and mountain vistas. Truly remarkable!!

We booked this tour with the optional flight back to Queenstown, but the flight was cancelled due to bad weather and we rode back in the van. This was disappointing, but we were prepared for this possibility and the operator refunded the price difference immediately and without prompting. The tour itself is great, with beautiful scenery throughout and a fantastic guide (Jeff), who kept us entertained and engaged for the entire day. It was sunny on the east side of the coastal mountains but Milford Sound was rainy and foggy. We understand that this weather is common, so future travelers - dont expect the postcard-perfect views of the Sound as are often shown. Even with a steady and sometimes hard rain, we enjoyed the cruise.
