Great way to get to & from your Milford Sound experience. All staff from checkin to ground staff to pilot were super professional and friendly. Views on these flights are spectacular. Pilot was quite aware some passengers were uncomfortable and kept them engaged with wonderful commentary & pointers. Glenorchy is the way to do the air portion of your Milford Sound adventure. Book early to get the first flight over & the first back.

Excellent excursion. A must to visit Milford Sound. Much better than going by coach. You see much mitre, the glaciares from very close and you have the boat Cruise the same way that excursions in bus. Important to book the option With the cruise By the air , you Just you avoid 10 hrs of bus! And see great landscapes that you would not see that way Excursion very dependent on the weather conditions , unlike the bus . a spécial thanks to our Great pilot James. The flight was awesome. The scenery was spectacular. Our pilot, Annabel, did a fantastic job not only navigating the mountains but giving us a commentary of what sights we were looking at. The return flight was a different route so we had fresh views on the flight back. The check in for the flight was easy and they kept us informed of the weather situation. Our original flight was canceled due to weather and they booked us for the next day, no problem.

One of our highlights in Queenstown. Was a fabulous clear day and our pilot Michael was top notch. Profesional , very knowledgeable on the area, the mountains and glaciers and with a sense of humour. We would totally recommend booking this in advance - well worth it!

The flight from Milford Sound and across the surrounding mountains was georgous. Our female pilot flew smoothly and offered interesting commentary. The ground staff was also extra helpful. I'd love to do the flight again.

My wife, two boys and I did the fly-cruise (Milford Sound) - fly tour package. End to end very well organized and worth every cent. Smooth check in, flights, and boat tour. All guides were super switched on and friendly. A big thanks to our pilot Annabelle who made our flight to and from the Sound enjoyable and educational. Smallest plane we have every flown in and felt like we were in very safe hands. Highly recommend this once in a life time package.

My son and I did the coach, cruise, fly tour. Coach and cruise was with southern discoveries and the flight back in to queenstown was with Glenorchy Air. It was all MAGNIFICENT! I was a little hesitant to do the return flight but it was a highlight of my trip! Our pilot, Megan, was fabulous. I highly recommend the flight with Glenorchy Air!

The pilot Annabelle was very good and polite. The crews were all helpful it was unfortunate that we could not land due to weather but views were great anyway.

Experience was fantastic! Admission fee seemed fair + given experience. Length of visit was reasonable and crowd size appeared average. Atmosphere was fun yet peaceful and respectful.

Outstanding fly/cruise/fly trip to Milford Sound with Glenorchy Air. Supremely well organised from start to finish. We were picked up from our hotel by the lovely driver Ivan who transported us to the airfield and explained the check in process. After check in we were met by our Pilot Ben who took us through the itinerary of the day and the safety briefing. Safety was again explained as we got on the small aircraft and before take off. We were extremely lucky with the weather and flew down to Milford Sound with Ben explaining the numerous sights en route. On arrival at the Sound, we disembarked and were accompanied to the boat by Ben. The 90 minute cruise was, as expected, stunning. But additionally, lovely crew on board and a good selection of coffees, tea, savoury and sweet snacks/sandwiches etc to buy. These were of a very good quality. The Captain on the boat also provided a running commentary explaining the geology, sights, animal sightings etc. On return from the cruise we were met by Ben, accompanied back to the plane and returned to queenstown via a different route to allow us to see more sights. Ivan then took us back to the hotel. All in all a totally brilliant day

This was an amazing trip. Our pilot, Annabelle, shared excellent information, helping us get the most out of the trip. We would definitely do this again; it was a highlight of visiting the South Island. Thanks, Glenorchy Air!

Ben, our pilot for the scenic flight back from Milford Sound, made the experience unforgettable. I can get motion sick, and he was incredibly thoughtful and reassuring the entire flight. He even let me sit up front as his “co-pilot,” which made the ride smoother and turned it into such a fun, memorable part of the trip. The views were spectacular, and Ben’s calm professionalism made it even better.

This is by far the best way to experience the Milford Sound by air and sea. We had a very scenic return flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound onboard ZK-PPR. Annabel, the most lovely pilot in the southern hemisphere made this an epic experience. If you are lucky enough, you may even get the co-pilot seat. Absolutely breathtaking. Cruising the Milford Sound on board of a Southern Discovery‘s vessel just adds the icing on the cake. Thanks again to the team of Glenorchy Air for a perfect day in paradise.

Was disappointed that my originally scheduled afternoon was cancelled due to bumpy flying conditions. The next morning was full and I was leaving QT. However an hour later they called to say they could squeeze me on a plane the next morning. And I was so glad! I was lucky to get the copilot seat on the plane. Also lucky in that it was clear blue skies with no clouds. Smooth flying all the way and spectacular views of snow capped peaks, valleys, lakes, glaciers and trails. The cruise around Milford Sound showcased the enormity of the location. Great crew who narrated and explained everything. Rob the pilot was fantastic with great commentary as he went a different way back home. An unforgettable experience and a QT must do!

We flew with Glenorchy Air from Milford Sounds to Queenstown after a lovely boat tour of the Sounds. Annabella our pilot was brilliant explaining everything pre flight and during the most amazing plane journey over the amazing mountain range and lakes back to Queenstown. The flight was about 40 mins and worth every penny it was amazing and not to be missed.

An absolutely amazing experience. Our pilot, Will created a very personalized experience. His commentary was interesting and the sights were spectacular I loved the fact that Glenorchy Air had high standards of service. I felt completely safe in their hands. This experience is a must do!

Took a coach out, did the cruise and flew back. Really wish we had flown both ways. The views from the plane were unbelievable and flying took 1/8 the time of driving. Our pilot Ben was a top notch aviator and a decent tour guide. Great equipment, great people, great service.

The fly-cruise-fly trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound is one of the best holiday experiences ever. Our pilot Rob was excellent - very professional and personable and the flight and cruise cover some of the most dramatic scenery I’ve ever seen.

The flight back to Queenstown was the highlight of the day. I don’t just recommend this flight/tour, i HIGHLY recommend it! It’s an absolute must. The best 40 minutes you can imagine. The views are beyond spectacular. The plane ride was so smooth and the pilot, Dave, was THE best! Great sense of humor and he made sure we had views the entire flight.

We had a fantastic trip as a couple and infant son with Glenorchy Air. Our pilot James was extremely welcoming and provided helpful commentary throughout the flight. The trip was well worth it as we would not have been able to visit via road.

Flew back to Queenstown from Milford Sound after take the bus there. Amazing flight over the mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. Would definitely recommend as one of the highlights of my New Zealand tour

We had a wonderful experience flying over Milford Sound. Isabel is an expert pilot. The flight was so smooth and enjoyable. We flew in a brand new super cool Kodiak 100 plane. The scenery is spectacular! Isabel provided interesting and fun commentary during the trip. I am very impressed with Glenorchy Air. They prioritize safety. We were updated on weather conditions and safety for our flight. Unfortunately, we were not able to go on the cruise portion of our trip. But, I appreciate the effort by Glenorchy Air to keep everyone safe. Weather conditions were not favorable for a flight out of Milford Sound after the cruise. The entire staff is exceptional. We had a great experience with the team as the plan changed due to weather. Our family member on the flight is a commercial pilot. He is very impressed with the entire operation of Glenorchy Air. Thank you Isabel for a memorable experience!

Everyone at Glenorchy Air was fabulous. Loved getting picked up at hotel. Irving was excited to greeted us. Ben was our pilot and tour guide. You could tell he was excited to share the mountains scenery with us. He was an expert pilot! The cruise was beautiful and informative. So many waterfalls!

Glenorchy has to combat the weather but did an amazing job of rescheduling us twice due to uncooperative winds and rain out of there control. Our original booking included a cruise in the fjords but our revised itinerary didn’t allow us to land in Milford Sound. Glenorchy immediately refunded the difference between the experiences. Annabell, our pilot, was experienced and a great tour guide.

We were nervous about spending so much on one day but it exceeded all expectations. Great, professional set up. Minimal waiting around, lovely staff and brilliant pilots who essentially became tour guides. Honestly if you are wondering which Queenstown activity to invest in this has serious bang for buck vs. 39 mins on a jet boat. The views are unreal, the day is well paced and Milford is blow away.

Rob was the consummate professional from start to finish. The sights were outstanding and he accommodated both sides of the plane, providing excellent narration throughout. Outstanding value for the money.
