Very great and thorough tour from flights to ship boarding our guide was very patient and reassuring the entire trip. The views were top notch and absolutely stunning.

Just awesome. The flight was exceptional with incredible scenery. I wasn’t sure about the cruise part but the entertaining commentary and beautiful landscape made it worthwhile.

The whole experience was incredible, from sharing our disappointment that our original tour couldn't go ahead to letting us know "the best next day"! Amazing Awesome views flying over the snow capped mountains from Queenstown into Milford Sound. The cruise was equally impressive such a special part of the world. Definitely would recommend this trip it’s way better than driving all the way there.

We originally booked the "take a bus to Milford" trip, but were convinced by fellow travelers to switch to the plane ride, and oh my, was that good advice. Not only is it faster, but flying through the mountains is an amazing experience. My wife and I are both private pilots, so it was even more enjoyable for us. I was convinced that would be the highlight of the trip, until we reached the Sound. Taking a boat through the Sound, seeing the sheer volcanic cliffs dropping into the water, glimpsing the vast Pacific to the west, and then getting to fly home again was a day we won't soon forget.

It was the second time I took scenic flights to Milford Sound from Queenstown. The flight was stable and safe and the view was breathtaking. Tge pilots were very friendly and helpful. The overall experience was super!

Have done Milford sound a number of times this was definitely the easiest. A great view from the plane as well.

I can’t say enough good things. The process was easy and the staff was friendly. Our pilot was very nice and friendly as well. The flight not only saves time but it is incredible to sight see on the way to the boat.

Top 10 lifetime experience for sure. From the hotel pickup to the very smooth flight with out of this world views to the cruise thru the fjord. This is a must do experience. It is very expensive - but sooo worth it if you can afford it!

Loved it totally.What a close up and personal experience. Totally stunning day out. To dod fly/cruise fly all up about 4 hrs or so was amazing.Up in the air great pilot,Kurt I think was in charge,so relaxed and totally professional. Would rather do this than bus/cruise/fly which is 5 hrs bus each way. Excellent excursion.

Absolutely worth it. It saved us from a long bus ride, gave us more time to enjoy Milford Sound, and let us stay there most of the day while also doing the cruise. The views and sightseeing from the plane were really special and made the whole experience even better. Seeing what many call the eighth wonder of the world from both the air and the water was unforgettable. Highly recommend.

Loved this excursion! This is a wonderful way to view the mountains and to avoid a long ride to Milford Sound and back from Queenstown. The air operator, Milford Air, was super professional. Our pilot, Tom, was the best! He narrated the trip to and from, and is so familiar with the territory. The boat ride was great, but the air trip was the winner! Highly recommend!

Great scenic flight through Fjiordland and the best way to get to Milford Sound. You are able to see mountain top glacial lakes and understand the massive mountains on the South Island. I would highly recommend this scenic flight. The pilots were Awesome and friendly making you feel comfortable and safe.

Flight to and cruise around Milford Sound cannot be described aside from saying “Just do it”. Flying saved many hours of bus or car travel and was a great experience! Everything was well organized and pilots were excellent.

Amazing experience. Did the 8am flight and had a beautiful clear, cloudless morning with stunning views. Wrap up warm, bring lots of layers. The cruise can be cold. Well run, v efficient, friendly, helpful staff. Would love to do it all again!

What an experience! Easy call in for confirmation that trip was on (weather is a consideration), an incredibly beautiful fight to Milford Sound over mountains & glaciers, all pointed out by Ben, the cruise through the fjords was breathtaking, and we got up close to couple of waterfalls. I think the flight & cruise would be better than a 4-5 hour bus ride, especially since we had driven much of the South Island and seen much of the topography

Difficult to give 5 as it was cancelled but the information and help trying to re book was very good. But we missed it due to weather and safety must come first. For those booking id suggest you have a back up plane for the day in the event it gets cancelled. This was our third cancellation due to weather.

Great trip saving time and a lot of driving a winding road. Pilot was friendly and informative. Cruise was fun, helped by the clear sunny weather, but you still need a raincoat and hat. Our trip was moved from the previous day due to poor weather and it was easily rearranged. The company were helpful in helping me with limited mobility, advising walking distances and accommodating a rollator

What a great experience! Well organized, professional and efficient, the combination of over one hour of flightseeing and a two hour boat ride cannot be beat. The views were beyond belief during every segment.

Words can't describe how beautiful this flight and cruise were. I'd highly recommend doing this. My friends and family can't believe the pictures and videos I took on this adventure. Ben was a great pilot, Ryan and crew on the cruise were fantastic, everyone at check-in was great. Plane is obviously on the smaller side so not the most comfortable but it's only a half hour flight each way, you won't even remember how cramped it is once you're in the air and seeing the views. Definitely add this to your itinerary!

Outstanding! Really straightforward to Book & Pay Online in advance. Great to also get Confirmation (or otherwise) an hour or so prior to Check-In based on the weather-check. Our morning booking was Cancelled but we were able to go the same afternoon. Sorry friendly, polite, professionals at Check-In. Our Pilot, Luke, was super laid-back but also informative and 'all-over' the safety details, he really helped us enjoy relaxed flights out & back again. The views from the Plane were astounding and other-worldly. The transfers to and from the Cruise were also relaxed & really straight forward, and again the views from the Catamaran were amazing. The Boat-Pilot was also reallyblaid-back & informative he too helped us enjoy a relaxed Cruise out & back again. Thank you.

This is a special trip and one we will remember. The reception staff were welcoming and provided us with clear instructions about the day. Johan was a great pilot - professional, warm and organised and made sure everyone had a great morning. The mitre peak cruise was a small boat which enabled us to get closer to,the shore and waterfalls. We were fortunate to see dolphins and seals too.

Incredible experience. Fantastic way to see Milford Sound from Queenstown in a morning - especially if tight for time. Staff/ pilots were relaxed, friendly and professional. We flew with Milford Sound Scenic Flights - our pilot was friendly, on time and knowledgeable. The flight was insane - the scenery beyond any expectation, mountains for miles and miles. Other-worldly experience. Our cruise around Milford was also spectacular, we had an amazing day.

Milford Sound Scenic Flights did a fantastic job with our flight - we couldn't be happier with the scenic plane trip. The pilot was very informative and he was also a really nice guy. We all felt the boat cruise didn't need to be quite as long, as we had seen so much beautiful scenery on the flight already. It would also have been nice if we could have purchased snacks or something to eat on the cruise, but they did have tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. We are not impressed with Trip Advisor as they did not provide us with vital information about there being an earlier pick-up time. All emails sent by TripAdvisor informed us that our tour commenced at 12:30pm. They also failed to advise us that a pick-up time would be sent to us on the morning of the tour. An email was received from TripAdvisor when we were on our way to the Airport stating pick-up times starting from 11:05am - it was forwarded on by TripAdvisor at 11:08am and was the first piece of information mentioning any other time besides 12:30pm. We had found out our pick-up time when I received a phone call from Milford Sound Scenic Flights at around 11:15am, telling us our transfer was waiting for us out the front of our hotel. This was 1hr 15 minutes earlier than we expected. I advised the operator that we were told our tour began at 12:30pm, not 11:15am, but she said that 12:30pm is our flight departure time, not the transfer pickup time. She said that TripAdvisor should have told us we would have an earlier transfer. I told her we had not received any information advising the pick-up would be any earlier than 12:30pm. Six of us had to get ready in a mad rush and throw together our things and organise transport to the airport ourselves, because the transfer vehicle did not have time to wait for us to ready ourselves. We didn't have time to organise ourselves as we would normally, as we didn't have enough time, it was very disappointing to be so rushed. We can't fault Milford Sound Cruises and highly recommend their flight, but will definitely think twice about using TripAdvisor again after the experience we had.

Amazing flight and booking experience. Our cruise got cancelled due to weather conditions and we were promptly notified + reimbursed and booked a flight so that we didn’t miss everything. Even though we were sad because of missing the cruise, the views from the plane were indescribable. Definitely a must through Milford Sound! ✨

Efficient and friendly service for booking and check in. Spectacular scenery makes this a must do. Sound on the flight was poor and made it difficult to hear what the pilot was sharing.

We took the flight with Milford Scenic and I was happy to see they had the smallest plane, only 8 seater I think, so the flying experience was visceral and authentic -we loved it- so much better than the boring bigger planes, so book this if you love flying. No-one on these reviews has mentioned the weigh in, so I will! Don't worry, you get on the scale which is like a large metal plate on the floor, with all your bags, you don't see any numbers, it is not public at all, no-one can see , no-one says your weight aloud, the guy just says 'great thank you' and you get off, and that's it. You will understand why I mention this if you have had issues from school /gymnastics and I want you to know there is no issue here, as I almost didn't book out of this fear, and that would have been crazy! This flight was one of the best experiences ever. The boat part is ok, kind of average , but the flight on the tiny plane is unbeatable..The check in process was very friendly and calm, the day was cloudy with light winds. A short walk from plane to boat. The boat was 2 hours and the boat quite small with about 80 people on board. Nice views but not worth the long bus journey for. Go by the little plane! ☺️

If I had to pick my favourite excursion of all time this might have been it. Everything from the booking to the reception to the flight to the cruise was perfect. Ryan (our pilot) was friendly and outgoing and confidence-inspiring while at the same time always making sure we knew where we needed to be and what would come next. We chose this company based on reviews and the hope that it would work out. In the end it exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great trip!

We had a brilliant scenic flight and cruise in Milford Sound. Our pilot, Jared put everyone at ease and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was smooth from start to finish with barely any waiting times. The views are extraordinary and it really was a once in a lifetime trip.

We took the Milford Sound Scenic flight on Nov 22nd. Our pilot Luke did a wonderful job communicating with our group. The views were breathtaking. We were very happy with the decision to spend the extra money and fly to Milford Sound.

Jake and Luke were easygoing and great on and off the plane. They make sure to take a picture of you at one point, so that you don't have to rely on selfies alone. The flight there has such gorgeous views of snow-capped mountains, forest trees, and rocky beaches. The cruise itself is awesome. I was lucky enough to see dolphins and penguins and even a seal. The waterfalls are just wonderful. And the captain of our boat is really eagle-eyed, so the boat will stop and give you the opportunity to see what a professional sees in terms of wildlife. I wouldn't have a seen one of the penguins without help from the captain's over-the-radio instructions. One of the most unmissable things I did in New Zealand.
